• Jean (9/5): Un séjour au coeur de Lecce chez Simona - Simona nous a accueillis très chaleureusement en nous fournissant toutes les explications utiles au séjour. Le frigo était plein pour le petit déjeûner, elle a avait confectionné une torta (délicieuse) et a toujours été extrêmement disponible tout au long du séjour. Elle nous a renseigné la boulangerie El Fornaio (pastichetto leccese délicieux), le marché et la poissonerie. Elle a organisé une visite de Lecce avec une guide française qu'elle connaissait. L'appartement est très bien situé, en plein centre historique, ce qui permet de revenir très facilement en cours de journée, et son atout principal, c'est sa terrasse sur le toit où il est possible de prendre les repas et de se prélasser (attention l'escalier est fort raide !). Séjour très chouette et superbe rencontre avec Simona.

Ze heeft ons zelfs opgehaald van een parkeerplek waar we in overleg onze auto betaald konden parkeren, wat erg prettig was. De B&B ligt midden in het historische centrum, wat een enorme plus is. Wat een leuke restaurantjes allemaal. We hebben heerlijk gegeten. Wat betreft de B&B: De matrassen slapen uitzonderlijk goed – iets wat wij als frequente reizigers zelden meemaken. Het huis is ook perfect om je even terug te trekken. Helaas hadden wij een paar dagen regen, maar daardoor hebben we heerlijk ontspannen binnen gezeten en filmpjes gekeken. Simona heeft ons goed verzorgd met lekkernijen en we komen hier zeker terug! Niets
• sandra (10/5): Geweldig 10/10 - Soms kom je op plekken waar de service goed is, maar dit overtrof werkelijk álles. De B&B was van alle gemakken voorzien: een volledig ingerichte koelkast, verzorgingsproducten, een complete keuken en een warme, gezellige sfeer. Als welkom stonden er ook nog een heerlijke taart en snacks voor ons klaar. We vielen van de ene verrassing in de andere. ’s Ochtends hing er vers brood aan de deur en bij elke vraag werd er direct en met zoveel vriendelijkheid geholpen door de eigenaresse. Bij ons vertrek nam ze zelfs de tijd om afscheid te nemen met een heerlijke lokale taart en een knuffel, zoveel warmte en oprechtheid kom je zelden tegen. We reizen veel, heel veel zelfs, maar dit hebben we nog nooit zo ervaren. Los van de geweldige gastvrijheid was het appartement ook gewoon perfect: midden in het centrum, fijne bedden en brandschoon. Een absolute aanrader en een plek die ons bij zal blijven. Niets

• Yves Nicole (10/5): - Chez Simona, on se sentait comme à la maison! Tout y était, à notre disposition. Il y a amplement de choses pour se préparer un bon petit déjeuner et en plus, on a eu droit à une tarte qu'elle nous laissée dès notre arrivée. Si vous voulez y passer un séjour en couple ou en famille, c'est parfait! Il y a une grande terrasse parfaite pour le petit déjeuner et les 5 à 7. Il s'agit d'avantage d'une question de bien être que de luxe. Le logement est grand et bien équipé. Simona est toujours disponible en répondant rapidement à toutes nos questions et nous a donné toutes les informations dont nous avions besoin. Elle nous a rendu visite le matin sur la terrasse avec de petits gâteaux directement sortis du four, on se croirait littéralement en famille! Emplacement incroyable, près de tout! On a adoré et on va certainement le recommander! Nous sommes restés 3 nuits et les 2 nuits de fin de semaine étaient un peu bruyantes, mais il faut s'y attendre quand on veut être au centre de tout!
• Monika (10/5): - Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein, direkt in der Altstadt, zu Fuß sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichbar, in der Unterkunft hatten wir außerdem eine Küche und eine Riesen Dachterrasse dabei. Simona hat uns mit Kuchen empfangen und uns zum Abschied Süßes aus der Bäckerei mitgegeben. Das Frühstücksangebot war vielfältig. Simona hat uns auf Wunsch einen kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz in der Nähe organisiert. Es hätte jedoch öffentliche gratis Parkplätze gegeben, da wir Ende Oktober da waren.

• Maria (10/5): Apartamento muy bien situado con estupenda terraza. - La preciosa terraza amueblada y con vistas, pero sobre todo el trato de la propietaria. Simona es una anfitriona estupenda, que estuvo siempre pendiente de cualquier cosa que necesitáramos. Hay de todo para desayunar, hasta una tarta casera, y van reponiendo lo que se va terminando sin tener que decirlo. En el baño también hay de todo, incluso pantuflas y bata. Las escaleras para subir a la terraza son muy empinadas y también hay un par de tramos hasta la puerta de entrada. No hay microondas ni lavavajillas.

Nos espero a la llegada para mostrarnos el alojamiento, recomendarnos restaurants y recibirnos con una torta hecha por ella. Todo el tiempo estuvo atenta a nuestras necesidades y nos recomendo una guia de turismo local en español que no pudimos conseguir por nuestros medios. El dia de la partida nos trajo unos pasticciolli riquisimos recien hechos para el desayuno y se presento a despedirse. Definitivamente volveriamos.

The apartment was in a great location within the old town walls. It had a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine and a lovely roof terrace. Lots of food was left for us for breakfast and a lovely pie. There are steps apartment was very clean and comfortable. The roof top terrace was a real bonus - a magical place to relax and watch the acrobatics of the swifts. Our host Simona took every care to make our stay as pleasant as possible - providing a variety of toiletries in the bathroom and everything we could possibly need for breakfasts in the fully stocked fridge and larder. On top of this we were greeted with a delicious home- made tart and other local breakfast treats arriving throughout our stay and a personal and very interesting guided tour. Communication was very straightforward and efficient and Simona helped us with suggestions for places to visit using local trains and buses. Nothing

Unfortunately, my husband was unwell while we were there and she was so kind and helpful. The rooftop terrace is lovely. There was a wonderful selection for breakfast and Simona also did delicious home baking for us. The apartment is right in the old town, very easy to wander everywhere and see things. As we are travelling for several weeks, it was great to also have the use of a washing machine.

Lots of different things were left for our breakfast, including some amazing fresh pastries. The only point to bear in mind is that the stairs up to the roof terrace are very steep so it's hard to carry things like food and drink up. The view is well worth it though!
• Anna (10/5): True hospitality! - The apartment is in a great location in the historic center of Lecce. We were welcomed with fresh pasticciotti by Simona. The apartment was fully stocked with many breakfast options. There were also many useful items in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc) as well as useful guide books and recommendations in the area. The terrace is up a short set of steep stairs but absolutely worth the climb. Simona is a wonderful host! She brought us more fresh pastries as we were checking out, and she took us on a wonderful walk through Lecce to share some stories, history and folklore. She really made us feel welcome in her city!
• Pasquale (9/5): It was a beautiful stay and any deficiencies were far exceeded by the generosity of the host! - The host was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The apartment was very comfortable for sleeping and eating and the rooftop terrace was outstanding. Additionally, the location of the apartment within the historic center was excellent. The bathroom was a little tight to move within and there is a little tile work needed at the shower, though not a major problem. There is no sitting or living room, except for a couch in the kitchen area. Also, beware that there is a flight of exterior steps to enter the apartment from the street as well as very steep steps within the apartment to access the roof terrace.

Very comfortable bed, gorgeous rooftop terrace and a wonderful selection of delicious goodies for breakfast. We also took Simona on her offer of a tour of Lecce which was really interesting and insightful. The apartment is an easy 10 minutes walk from the station and all the wonderful sights of Lecce are also just a few minutes away.

• Clare.b (10/5): Fantastic place to see Lecce - Everything about this stay was lovely, the bed was super comfy, the terrace amazing (like other reviewers have said the steps are steep and narrow to get to it) but it's so lovely to have morning coffee or evening drinks up there. The location of the apartment is perfect for the historic centre. The kitchen is small but very well equipped, there is absolutely everything you could need and more! So many toiletries were also provided with lovely soft towels, robe and slippers. Simona herself was the most wonderful host and gives a lot of care and attention to detail into everything. The breakfast provisions were amazing, we couldn't eat even half of what was provided! Simona also left fresh cake on arrival and the morning of our departure left us an amazing Lecce sweet - which was so delicious! We also enjoyed a tour of the city that Simona offered and this gave us an appreciation for some of the finer details you miss or don't know when walking around. Nothing, it was all wonderful :)

• Aline (8/5): Good central location to stay - My husband and I stayed here for three nights as a base to explore the Salento coast. It was in a great, central location to explore the city of Lecce. We were able to find the apartment easily where we were met by the owner & shown around. The apartment sleeps up to four, but felt spacious with it only being my husband and I travelling. Breakfast was provided in the apartment and was plentiful with bread, cheese, ham, eggs, cereals, pastries, jams, juice and milk. There was a lovely rooftop terrace to sit and enjoy breakfast and a glass of wine in the evenings. It was also handy to have a washing machine to use. Whilst this is not a criticism of the property it is worth noting two things. Parking in Lecce is difficult. The owner did message with details of parking. If you want a secure garage the owner has to book it for you. Otherwise there are designated places on the street on the outskirts of the city which are pay and display. There is an app you can use to pay but we could not get this to work on our phones so had to make sure we had enough change on us to keep paying for the tickets. It is €0.60 per hour, between the hours of 9am and 9pm. Second, the steps up to the roof terrace in the apartment are not for anyone with mobility issues. They are extremely steep. Again, not a criticism but people need to be aware of this before they book.
• Joy (10/5): Hospitality at its best! - Simona was the perfect hostess! She greeted us warmly and helped us to carry our luggage up the one flight of stairs to the apartment. She even took us on a walking tour of Lecce to point out the major sights and to top it off she drove us to the train station on our departure. The quaint centrally located spotless two bedroom apartment in the ancient city is only a 10 minute walk from the train station and near lots of bars and restaurants. Upon our arrival, the fridge and the pantry were well stocked with a delicious selection of fresh food including eggs, deli meats, fruit, cheese, yoghurts, bread, milk, butter, jam, cereal, juice, water, coffee and a wide selection of snacks. Simona even treated us to delicious fresh treats from the bakery! Much thought and effort has gone into offering almost everything you could possibly want… items that no other apartment has offered… eg hair straightener, hair styling products, nail polish remover and almost every product a woman (or man) would want. We have never experienced an apartment more well stocked with almost everything you could imagine. The huge rooftop terrace was definitely a steep walk up an unusual staircase, but it was a relaxing place to hang out and worth the climb! We washed our clothes and dried them on the drying rack in the sun in one afternoon. Wifi worked very well. Our four night stay was over a holiday weekend and a bar below was full of young people partying until the early hours of the morning. With all the steps we did each day we had no trouble sleeping. Simona made our stay in Lecce a memorable one and we thank her for her heartfelt hospitality. We would return in a heartbeat! Nothing.
• Allan (9/5): Charming old world apartment in the city center with all the products, supplies and a refrigerator full of food! - The location is perfect for exploring all of the center of Lecce and the host, Simona, supplied the apartment with absolutely everything you could need and then some! The treats kept on coming through our stay and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Makes you want to stay in bed all day but don’t because you would miss the beautiful sights in town. Nothing.

Spacious adjoining rooms on 1st floor with private access via external stairs. Fabulous private roof terrace with seats and pot plants, access via steep stairs. Well equipped kitchen / dining area with sofa, coffee machine, etc. Great communications with owner via What’s App. Owner is very friendly, attentive and helpful and knows how to run a B&B to a high standard. Large home made jam tart and plenty of nutritious food, fruit, etc, for breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights including day trips to Gallipoli and Otranto, each 35 minutes away by taxi. Nothing.

• Dorothy (10/5): Fabulous apartment with roof terrace, wonderful breakfast and service from a delightful lady host! - Simona met us from the taxi (who she had also arranged for us). She gave us the keys and a tour of the apartment. The breakfast options were phenomenal. Various pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses, soft drinks and water all supplied. Simona kindly delivered fresh pastries every day as well! She is just the most amazing host! We went on a short tour where she pointed out various sites that you'd not see on the tourist trail and told us the local legends of Lecce. The roof terrace was the reason I chose the apartment. It was wonderful sitting there at night with the view of the campanile. I asked Simona if she could recommend a wine tour, which she kindly did for us too! Nothing!
• Linda (10/5): Our stay at Simona's B&B was utterly fantastic. This is one of the best properties I have stayed in - The location of this apartment is ideal, it is in the heart of the old town, but in a courtyard that is very private. The facilities in the apartment are excellent, and everything you need is provided. It is super clean, we were there for 11 nights, and it was cleaned several times, and all linens and towels changed. Breakfast was stunning. Simona baked beautiful cakes for us, and left them in the apartment. The fridge was filled with fresh fruit, more pastries, meats and cheeses, a huge selection of yogurts and dairy. Still and sparkling waters and a selection of other soft drinks and juices were provided also. Everything you could possibly need was there. It was excellent. Simona was on site to greet us when we arrived, and show us around the property and all the facilities. She is super friendly and helpful, and helped organise some local trips and travel for us. The roof terrace at the property is amazing, and a wonderful place to sit in the evening and take in the atmosphere of the old town.

• Anne (10/5): Fabulous - Simona was an incredibly wonderful host and stocked the apartment with everything you could possibly imagine needing, and more. The B&B is also perfectly situated in the charming historic center of Lecce, as well as a short walk to the train station and everything else you might be looking for. Simona is such a lovely person and we would recommend B&B Corte dell’Idume to all of our friends and family and anyone else visiting the beautiful city of Lecce!
• Mary (9/5): Lovely Lecce - Simona is a friendly and charming host who very kindly collected us from the train station. This was very much appreciated as was the huge selection of provisions in the kitchen with even a home-made cake provided. The apartment is comfortable and homely and is in a great location for enjoying the many bars and restaurants. Lecce is a truly lovely town with beautiful buildings around every corner and Simona kindly gave us a tour of her own favourites which added to our appreciation. In these lovely old buildings access to roof terraces for the views requires ingenuity and as has been said the stairs here are, of necessity, steep and narrow.

• Majida (10/5): Love this place!! - This place is sooo amazing!!!! Simona went above and beyond. Our train was delayed and she waited up for us to pick us up and bring us to the B&B. She was super helpful and available for all of our questions. We appreciated her sooo much:) Would definetly recommend it to everyone! It is in a perfect location as well.
