Guest Reviews
- Remi (10/5): -
- Wangmo (9/5): - Peaceful
- Sharon (5/5): Quiet stay above a hotel was pleasing. - Location on a corner a little tricky to find entrance given it was a hotel accomodation. Needed clearer instructions that check in to come from back of property
The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained.
Staff at check in were very helpful, but not always manned. Initially room door when locked was loose, but they sent in management right away and it was fixed.
Couldn't get 7+ channel for unknown reason.
check in reception dated but okay.
- Rui (10/5): -
- Lakshman (8/5): -
- zarah (7/5): - Pub accommodation Hot water takes a long time to kick in
- Peter (7/5): I did enjoy my stay. It did take a few days to get into the rhythm of the location. - The location was ok. Affordability for the location was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was no in-house restaurant. Luckily was a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant next door. The vehicle clearway area makes it abit tricky to catch a taxi at the address of 7 Cracknell Rd. The quantity of stairs makes it a challenge for a guest with lower body mobility issues.
- Trejo Lame (7/5): -
- Sheen (6/5): - The room was clean, bathroom was spacious No milk in fridge, and a lot of stairs to climb, need a lift, no meals available only snacks.
- Fatih (10/5): -
- Tregea (8/5): - Comfy and cheap Not very clean
- Haily (9/5): Great comfortable stay with everything we needed for a short stay in Brisbane. - Loved the space in the apartment loved the kitchen and facilities were clean customer service e was great and were even given early checkin. Would definitely stay again 3 flights of stairs to climb with our luggage
- Erin (6/5): -
- Fitzpatrick (3/5): - Rooms smelt of cigarettes
- Anton (1/5): The bed are old, smelly inside the room and cockroach inside the toliet and around the room. Not worth it for the money - The location is ok The customer service is a nightmare. When I arrive the the receptionist at night is bit arrogant and not accomodating.
- Richards (10/5): -
- Renita (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Great stay, comfortable bed - Was very comfortable, staff were great. A little bit pricey for being on top of a pub
- Jim (7/5): - Not really a place for food, however there is a couple of good restaurants walking distance
- Gustavia (8/5): -
- Lee (8/5): -
- Charlie (1/5): Fake booking - Don't stay here unless ur willing to cough up coin
- Gregg (7/5): Convenient and suited my needs - Great location. Room was small but clean. Bar fridge was so noisy I had to unplug it in the middle of the night.
- Dylan (5/5): - The cleaner came in my room when I was asleep
- Jianne (9/5): -
- Julien (9/5): - Good location for my trip Windows with "roof view"
Bed too soft
- leela (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Clean room and comfortable bed You have to walk through the pub (pokies room) and it’s kind of seedy. My room had the door lock slightly loose , which felt unsafe. I asked to move but to do that i needed to go into the bar which was uncomfortable. They did move me to a better room . Also quite noisy outside on a busy road and people coming in late making noise .

- 2969fff32e1b712980223edfc5186ce1 (8/5): - I loved the vibe of the room and the size of the bathroom/bed was perfect, loved the lights, had a nice sized TV for entertainment, bar and resturant just downstairs, not to mention its not a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus station so really convent for those who travel and need transport, theres also a cafe just downstairs next door, a bottle shop to the other side and only 15 minutes to walk to woolies so its a very convent area. These are more personal notes as I struggle with anxiety and find it hard to communicate with people so others may not struggle with it, but staff being in the gaming room instead of having someone at the desk, I wasn't sure how to use the after hours check out boxes as they appeared to have to slot and I had a flight to catch, and the windows in the room dont open to let fresh air in so your only choice is ac or room temp.
- Judy (7/5): Other than the alarm going off excellent value for money. - Did not have breakfast The alarm going for a couple of hours
- Renita (10/5): -
- Adam (5/5): Almost Fawlty Towers-like comedy of errors by staff as well as problems caused by neglected faciliti - Location was very good Very poor customer service.
- Ophélie (9/5): - The hotel and the room are very clean. The bathroom is nice and the shower is spacious. The beds are very comfy. You can’t open the windows and just be aware that you are 30mins away from the city centre by bus.
- Paula (10/5): -
- Abraham (8/5): - cozy take to long on returning deposit
- Joanne (8/5): Good -
- Michelle (7/5): . - Convenient Room clean apart for lots of rubbish under the bed

- Anthony (9/5): -
- Walker (6/5): Okay but i won't be back - The room was clean if somewhat small, the bedlinen was good and the fridge a decent size. Free bottled water was a nice touch. Teh air con was effective and quiet The cold water tap didn't work in the shower until I'd almost given up and used a towel to access the hot water as it was too hot to stand under. Strange checking in experience via the upstairs pokies bar which I wasn't expecting
- Samantha (7/5): -
- Pritchard (8/5): Ok - Handy location Cockroach
- Liam (8/5): -
- Victor (7/5): My stay was pleasant and suited my needs. - It was comfortable, clean, coffee, milk and drink voucher. Number of stairs and lack of toaster and microwave
- Ellen (9/5): - Beds were VERY comfortable. Location was great for our stay and access to the venue was great, very good for travelers from out of city area. Parking was very convenient and always available. Noise proofing in the bedroom/living area was great, especially as it is in a very busy traffic area. More food, dining options available in the pub downstairs, this would have made it easier for us to source somewhere to have dinner during our stay.
There was an emergency evacuation during our stay, we followed the evacuation plan down the stairs but it led into the unoccupied and dark pub area and it was difficult to see where to go from here. Better communication or visuals required for these instances.
Possible noise proofing in the bathroom as it was very loud from outside street noise. If bathroom door was closed to rest of accommodation area it was fine though.
- Doug (7/5): - Room was quieter and more comfortable than expected (above a busy pub). Despite the ad,no breakfast avalable. Insufficient staff numbers, so nobody around for either check in or out
- David (7/5): Clean, suprisingly quite considering the location. - Very tidy Some fittings maintenance is required.
- Michele (6/5): Expected much better - The property was clean and well appointed, away from the bar area etc. Mano Cafe around the corner for breakfast. Staff were very helpful. Our first night was great.
The second night a band was playing in the Back Room. We were told once our booking was accepted that if a band did play it would finish at 11pm, wrong it was midnight and extremely loud.
I would not have booked if I had been told prior it was a live music venue. 🥲
There is no lift, we had very heavy bags for our flight. We were advised once our room was checked our $100 deposit would be refunded. Not right. I had to call 3 days later to get the refund . Some attachments in the bathroom are in need of repair.
- Sourab (9/5): -
- Ian (9/5): Loved it - Location & area Too many stairs to carry suitcases up and down
- Steve Woodfield (7/5): -
- Phoebe (10/5): -
- Phil (8/5): -
- Ben (5/5): - Hot water was not working. The room smelled off and bed was not comfortable
- Anthony (5/5): Pleasant staff and fulfilled a purpose, but doubt we will return. - Room was clean and of a good size, and staff pleasant. Did not realise the hotel was combined with a bottle shop. Parking not remotely secure, beds are hideously soft. Window in bathroom would not close, and significant mold could be seen inside the air con ducts.
- Maselina (7/5): -
- Roberts (8/5): Pleasant - The staff were fantastic and the room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable. Too many steps to get up to the room. As I have a crook knee.
- Sam (10/5): -
- Paula (10/5): - Every thing Non
- Adam (7/5): -
- William (9/5): -
- Kelsey (7/5): Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were kind - The family suite was comfortable and clean. Lovely Vietnamese restaurants for take away next door as pub doesn’t do meals. It’s above a pub, but you can access it without going through the pub. Although I didn’t know that at first. Road is pretty noisy.
- Roselie Conde (10/5): -
- cody (8/5): -
- Wilson (8/5): - The room I stayed in was spotless. The hallways were clean and inside the bar area the gaming room was also very well presented. The website was misleading as it said there was a restaurant on-site and the restaurant has been closed for a few years. There were a lot of stairs, and there was not a lift available. As I had recently had surgery, I found it very hard to manage the stairs. I did tell the staff member that I had difficulty with stairs, but no offer was made to assist me.
- Sybil (6/5): -
- Rajni (8/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): Accessible and clean - A great discovery, I usually stay at a Brisbane CDB hotel, then travel into Annerley. The people of work with never told me about this hotel, only mention hotels in the area that they wouldn't recommend. Using the Air conditioning - it was in 'F' not 'C'. Room a bit stuffy without air conditioning, but I was only there for the evening and leaving early. So I put up with it.
- Melanie (10/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Shane (8/5): Overall I am very pleased with my stay and I will definitely stay again when I travel to Brisbane. - Staff were lovely and provided a nice greeting upon arrival. The room was clean and well presented and good value for money for what I was after. I reported an issue with the smoke detector in the room and it wasnt rectified during my stay
- Ione (4/5): - Reception
- Warren (9/5): Lovely comfy bed and friendly staff! - Location was great as our son lives 600 meters away so we were able to walk to him. Also the dining options were within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast pack was a great little treat, and if we wanted more, the Vietnamese cafe on the corner offer great coffee, food and service! We will definitely stay again. I felt the room was small, but as we were out most of the day, it wasn’t a big issue for us as a couple.

- Neal (10/5): Amazing staff so friendly and warming -
- Ty (3/5): - Breakfast?
- Eli (3/5): - Location was good. Pub downstairs had a good atmosphere.
One employee was very nice and helpful, a young man with curly hair. Bar ladies were rude. Room was dirty. Flies everywhere in the toilet. Bedding had stains on it and a few strands of hair
- Joseph (8/5): -
- Kersty (7/5): - Room itself was very comfortable and clean. New furnishings.
- Hill (7/5): Overall really nice, decent spot and can’t hear anything from the pub below - Air con, tv, cleaned everyday, comfortable Did not like the backdrop behind the bed, the order to your room service didn’t work as I waited 30 minutes for a beer then just having to walk down to the gaming room to retrieve it.
- Anne (10/5): -
- Jon (6/5): Short and sweet - Night staff rude and unfriendly (manager)
- Ezekiel (10/5): -
- kathryn (9/5): Perfect location for Brisbane Tennis which I was attending and plenty of take away/restaurants - N/A have to go out for food as little on dinner menu N/A
- Lauren (8/5): -
- Jamie (7/5): - Clean and comfortable Actual location
- Cheryl (8/5): We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the room was. The room was neat and clean and suited our needs well. - Great team members. The room was clean and good value for money. No under cover parking

- Logenthiran (9/5): Nice hotel but need to improve the customer service and room service. - Room has good beads, clean and tidy. Hotel reception was closed on Christmas day and could not check in first day.
Reception staff was advised reception office will open until 5.00PM on Christmas day but when we went there 4.30 PM office was closed. Try to contact hotel staff for check in and no luck.
Staff just sent a text message to phone for after hours key collection without any notification. Booked another hotel to stay first night.
We stayed 4 nights in the hotel and room only service once. No Microwave.
