Loved soaking in the hot pool. We were in our Motorhome and found this campground very reasonably priced for a powered site. Would definitely recommend.

Everywhere was really clean, pools were awesome, emptied & cleaned everyday, refilled in the morning. All the facilities were great, as I mentioned it was so clean and the staff were all very polite and super helpful. Great amenities with a small store with all the little bits you may have forgotten or needed at the last minute, great location with a super cool vibe .. nothing to be honest, location was great, weather was a little bad but we all coped in the storm and lovely sun in the morning (you can predict the weather!)

- Sidan1 (10/5): Specialness of Athenree Hot Springs Holiday Park - All at Athenree Hot Springs Holiday Park was tip top. Accommodation; (Two nights, two bedroom unit) was well equipped, extra towels available, staff popping in to ask if we needed anything, internet fast etc. The pool was meticulously clean and the surrounding artwork added to the specialness of our visit (sister's birthday). Being across the road from the beach was an added bonus. The friendliness of the staff and visitors was noted also.

In a beautiful spot. Location is a bit out of the way - you need to drive to get to anywhere outside the resort.

Gute Ausstattung, auch in der Küche. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Gegend ist schön und der Strand nicht weit, auch schöne Wanderungen in der Nähe möglich.
- T1034LYjackiew (10/5): A great stay - We turned up hoping there would be space, the man on reception was really welcoming and told us the hot spring pools were free for guests to use. We had a lovely spot, with plenty of space around us. The hot pools were a real bonus. The facilities were a little dated but spotless. We only stayed one night but could have happily stayed longer, the place had a really nice atmosphere.

- Mahal2013 (10/5): Great hot pools and superb location - We stayed for 2 nights using a power site. The land was flat and firm, and plenty big enough for our campa van. The campsite had plenty of space and the facilities were always clean and tidy. For those who need wifi, we had a good strong signal and 1gb free data. Being out of the main season it wasn't very busy while we were there and therefore it was quite peaceful. The mineral hot pools were a real bonus. There are 2 pools, one at 33c and the hot pool about 38c. Both pools were very clean and perfect for a soak after a day out exploring. Campers at Athenree are able to use the pools for free.
- biggleski (10/5): Very well looked-after…the customer matters! - What a super campsite…from the initial phone call, to the reception, to the time spent there. We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome…and they remembered our names. It’s so clean…and not just cleaned at one specific time, surfaces are wiped would throughout the day. The pool is a bonus too, although Anzac Bay, just round the corner, gives double the delight! Waihi Beach is close by too, so there is a choice of waves or flat calm! I’ll be back! Thank you for providing me with such a pleasant stay!
- dianemT8710QI (10/5): A fresh break away. - I needed to destress, reset and refresh and thought a mini beach break would fit the bill. I couldn't have chosen better! The place is relaxing, clean, friendly and has much to offer. The beaches are so close, and so are many beautiful bush walks and lovely swimming along the coast. The hot springs round off the day perfectly. It was perfect! Next time I'm going to take the kayak out.

- 785carolyns (8/5): Pools lovely, campsite and facilities average - I chose to camp here for the hot mineral pools and they were the highlight, beautifully laid out although they close early evening so no soaking under the stars. Many permanent campers living here and casual campers are not so well catered for - only a small kitchen with sinks, kettle, toaster but no hotplates for cooking. There's no swimming beach nearby, best beaches are several km away.

- NeilW2438 (10/5): Pleasant overnight stay in well-equipped cabin with hot pools next door - The self-contained cabin was very adequate for our needs, and was clean and comfortable. The pools were right next door and were really the main drawcard. They are quite unusual in that they are drained and cleaned every night then refilled. No added salt or chlorine, no sulphur smells, and the water had a "silky" feel to it. The water was at a nice temperature and the pools had shade sails over them for shade. The surrounding walls were tastefully decorated with mosaics from local artists. The cost of our stay seemed reasonable.

Although I understand your need to close the pool for maintenance every day at 7.30, it would be great if you could find a way to allow for at least the adults only pool to be open later.

- kategrace61 (10/5): A little off the beaten track lovely place to have a hot soak and stay! - What a fabulous place for a visit. I was there one night on the way home in my campervan. I was hanging out for a soak in the hot water pools. The place is SO clean, sink/benches are spotless, the toilets clean with lovely soft music piped through, great hot shower with good pressure. Overall a lovely, feeling to the whole place. Kitchen has all you need. The lady who was in the reception area was super friendly and helpful when I asked about where to go for a walk. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Had unobstructed view of the estuary, access to a picnic table to set up a barbecue. Water tap. Very Nice well kept kitchen and shower facilities located near our camp site. Loved having clean cloths to wipe the benches after use, ready for the next person. Family enjoyed a soak in the hot pool at the end of the day. Close to some nice walks and sightseeing. Dog friendly community. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

- CarolineS5485 (10/5): Great experience for spring school holiday - I took my elderly parents and my two children for a 3 days break at the park. We booked the Deluxe Chalets unit 3. The unit is clean and in good size. It has kitchen and bathroom that can accommodate all our needs. My parents and I enjoyed the adult pool and my children had a lot of fun at the kids pool at the same time. The stuff are super friendly and the public facilities are nice and clean as well. We found out we left behind our USB disk in the unit when we returned home. I rang the park and the friendly staff told me they already mailed to us. What a star service! ❤️
