• Karl Guenther (8/5): - Sie hatten mich umgebucht, direkt über die Disco. Das war nicht so gut. Das ganze Flair aber ist irgendwie angenehm liebenswert. Es besticht die Weitläufigkeit der Anlage und der Sporthotel-Charakter. Und es war sehr gut beheizt. Alles nicht überkandidelt mit Used-Charme. Würde es wieder tun. Zumal es Parkplatz direkt davor gibt. mfg Carl Thilke
• Danny van 't (10/5): - Typisch Duits hotel in een klein stadje. Op loopafstand van de Kerstmarkt (die echt een aanrader is).
• Derek (6/5): - Ein junges Mädel und der Kochazubi versuchen ihr bestes das Früstückbuffet am laufen zu halten. Offensichtlich von der Hotelführung im Stich gelassen. Das Zimmer ist einfach aber ok. Der Duschschlauch ist defekt.

• jacek (8/5): - Super duzy parking przed chotelem,blisko autostrady. Jedyby minus,ale to juz norma w niemiekich chotelach brak czajnika,kawy,kubków... Dlatego zabietamy zawsze z soba swoj sprzęt 😀😀😀
• Dirkjan (10/5): - A typical German hotel. A bit out-dated, but really nice atmosphere. Situated in a rural village with not much to do, but close to the Dutch border (and Venlo). I really enjoyed their breakfast and swimmingpool. Friendly personel. Lots of older German guests. Quiet and peaceful old-school hotel.

• Andrew (10/5): Great Value - This place is an aging hotel that needs the rooms to be renovated but I think the lower prices reflect that.. My room had a small bit of wallpaper coming loose and the shower head was badly located but other than that it was just dated. It was clean and spacious with a good view of the courtyard.. Plenty of parking on a hard stand surface (not gravel) so I deal for my motorcycle.. we had a good continental breakfast included in the very reasonable tariff.. Overall I would highly recommend this place it you are on a budget and like value for money.

• Jutta (2/5): - Die Zimmer sind in sehr altem Zustand, das Badezimmer ist extrem klein und unpraktisch und insgesamt war es nicht sehr sauber und ordentlich!!! Die Unterkunft ist auch insbesondere im Hinblick auf den Preis überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen.

• Michael (4/5): - Das Hotel ist zweckmässig, aber nicht gut. Bei Ankunft mussten wir erst Personal suchen um einchecken zu dürfen. Das Zimmer: der Teppich versifft, die Toilette von innen schwarz von Kalk. Ekelhaft. Das Frühstück überschaubar, Frühstück Personal unfreundlich. Wir als Hotelgäste wurden unfreundlich vom Tisch verwiesen, weil externe Gäste hier bevorzugt behandelt werden. Durch die Disco am Samstag war es sehr laut, auch noch nachts um 2.00 uhr. In diesem Zustand werden wir das bestimmt nicht mehr buchen.

Alles war bestens. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Dreadful - This hotel is terrible. It desperately needs renovation and refurbishment. My room was disgusting. Horrible decor and furnishings from the ‘80s (I’m not joking), stains on the carpet, dirty shower. You sense dirt. Communal areas are dirty, bland and soulless. The pool area was cold, smelly and unappealing. If I wasn’t so tired on arrival, I’d have walked out. Staff were very unwelcoming. Breakfast gave a new meaning to basic. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in for at least 10 years. This place clearly hasn’t had investment since it was built. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Avoid!
• Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel is ok, do not eat here - Hotel is ok, nothing special but beds are good and nice (woods) environment. The breakfast is ok but skip dinner as the food is truly horrible. Never ever have I seen a schnitzel that looked so bad and even tasted worse. It was probably diepfried, the eggs were burned and stuck to the pan and the bacon was so hard you could not cut or eat it.
• DANIEL (4/5): Un hôtel à rafraichir - Manque flagrant d'entretien basique et surtout un état général suranné de l'hôtel qui vieillit mal. Il est resté dans le jus des années 80. La décoration intérieure devrait être allégée pour privilégier la clarté.
• Michael (6/5): Die guten Zeiten sind vorbei. - ...Check in Wartezeit 10 Minuten, da zuerst die Restaurantgäste bedient wurden ...Schwimmbad ansich gut, die Wasserqualität jedoch sehr schlecht, es roch sehr unangenehm und erzeugte Schleimhautreizungen ...das Frühstück wurde verspätet serviert, die Qualität war mittelmäßig Das Hotel beherbergt Busreisegruppen, welche bevorzugt behandelt werden.
• C. (8/5): - Inchecken en communicatie avond-ochtendpersoneel is slecht. Er was niet doorgegevne dat we om 6.00 uur mochten ontbijten. De heer die aanwezig was heeft nog wel snel pakketten gemaakt, maar het was wel een hele teleurstelling. Tevens het verbod van honden in het restaurant is vreemd, want ze zijn wel toegestaan in het hotel. Zeker bij een hindje dat alleen onder tafel ligt

• Verified traveler (8/5): Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis - gutes, ruhiges Hotel, gutes Frühstück, ausreichend Parkplätze, Lage unweit Düsseldorf (hatte auf der Messe zu tun und dieses Hotel genutzt)
• Susan (4/5): Ikke børnevenligt - middelmådig mad - Vi havde valgt stedet og kørt 6 timer på grund af deres pool og spa, hvilken var lukket da vi nåede frem hvilket ikke fremgik af bekræftelsen da vi bestilte. Hotellet egnede sig absolut ikke til familier da der intet var at lave for vores børn på 8 og 10. Den nærliggende bowlinghal var fyldt med voksne, og ikke særlig børnevenlig. Aftensmaden var rå og måtte retur, min søns mad kom så sent at vi andre var færdige. Morgenbuffet var utilfredsstillende. Ikke et sted vi besøger igen.
• Birgitte (8/5): Godt hotel til prisen - Rigtig fint, rent og pænt hotel. Hjælpsomt personale. Aften buffet var noget kedelig, men morgenmaden var god.
• Udo (6/5): Verbesserungs Potenzial vorhanden - Wellness Bereich war geschlossen. In anderen Hotels ist dieser geöffnet. Personal wirkte gestresst und unkonzentriert, was bei der Essens Bestellung sich bemerkbar machte. Das falsche Essen und trinken bekommen, aber es wurde der Preis gesenkt. Lange Wartezeit beim einchecken; da das Restaurant Personal auch den Empfang machen musste. Ich werde es nicht mehr buchen. Sorry
• Thorsten (4/5): Kein Pool - Leider war der Pool nicht geöffnet. Das war aber der Grund, dass wir dieses Hotel gewählt haben. Aber Hotel in NRW haben auch wieder Ihre Pools nach dem Lockdown geöffnet. Daher ein großes Minus, dass nicht darauf hingewiesen ... aber damit geworben wurde.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is somewhat dated and could do with some work. We arrived around 21:00 and asked if it was still possible to have something to eat. It was no problem at all, the waitress was very friendly and helpful and the burgers were superb!
• Katja (4/5): Alt - Alte Zimmer, Zustand eher weniger gut. Nur lauwarmes Wasser. Eine Nachttischlampe hat gefehlt. Das Zimmer völlig überteuert. Für 90€ eine Zumutung. Nicht weiter zu empfehlen!
• Anja (6/5): Geht so, könnte besser sein, aber ok - Hatte für zwei Personen reserviert und erhielt ein Zimmer mit 2 Betten, von denen nur eins bezogen war. Wurden aber direkt und sehr freundlich in ein neues Zimmer umgebucht. Leider merkt man, dass dieses Hotel in die Jahre gekommen ist. In der Lobby riecht es alt und vor allem auch in der Bar. Auf dem Zimmer vergilbte Gardinen und Stuhlsitze. Der Teppich ist auch nicht mehr so fleckenfrei. Toilette voller Kalk (mit Chlorreiner ist dies wegzukriegen ;) ) Personal ist supernett. Ansonsten war das Zimmer sauber. Sehr gute Erreichbarkeit des Eisstadions und der Dorenburg. Für eine Nacht war es ok. Trotzalledem nochmals lieben Dank an die nette Dame vom Check In für die unkomplizierte Hilfe.

• Marc (6/5): Average hotel - good enough for one night. - Overall the stay was okay. The facility is aged and I guess could be upgraded with a renovation in the coming years. Breakfast was average compared to German standards. The indoor pool is quite cold. Maybe good for getting warm while swimming, but for sure to cold for playing around with your kid (which was my intended use).
• Mezzathefrog (4/5): Only hotel in the area? - Stayed there for two weeks, in the building opposite the main one. Wifi stopped working in our building after 5 days and never got fixed. Rooms are a little outdated and lack powersockets and tea/coffee facilities; also couldn't get the in room heater to work. Sauna and swimming pool were very good though! Breakfast is a bit basic, no pastries for example. Avoid on Friday/Saturday night as the nightclub La Cave is very loud and people chat/scream outside all night. Try the cosmic bowling and its burgers, they're tasty!! Half of the staff was lovely & helpful, the other half not so much. Hadn't it been so close to work, another hotel could have been a better choice.
• Slaw1 (8/5): decent place - I'd recommend this hotel, as it's keenly priced and there's enough do after hard day's work. Personally I visited following facilities: swimming pool, sauna, swimming pool again, after that restaurant and in the end the hotel bar with indoor tennis court view. One remark: they could get few English-sepaking TV channels.
• petet2013 (8/5): A good overnight stop for a group - Bringing a group to this hotel in December provided us with an overnight stop that suited most people. Rather difficult to find if you were not using a satnav but the facilities were more than adequate for this stop. The staff were most helpful if you asked them to provide something extra or different from what the whole group were provided with.
• Allan050651 (4/5): They don't cater for vegetarians! - We came here in a group in December 2013. Even with advance notice they don't cater for vegetarians. A big disappointment. Even the buffet for the meat eaters was limited and no choice. Room is small and dimly lit. Staff are pleasant and try hard. If you want to be depressed stay here. One plus is free Wi-Fi! Nothing else to recommend it. Avoid at all costs!
• myromings (6/5): Nothing around... - Grefrath is a small town. This hotel is located twenty minutes walk to the center. I think there are two hotels only here around. So, nothing to do if you stay in this area. It's nice that this hotel has sauna e swimming pool. Wifi free previous registration. Some room are small.
• Finnley (6/5): A good family-sports hotel - Looking up the hotel's website, it makes no secret that it's an "Activities" hotel. I stayed there for a night on a business trip and found it fine. Good room, restaurant and price. Next time I will bring my sports gear.
• nieves67 (8/5): Very good hotel, service is weak - nice pool, and sauna, quiet hotel, clean rooms. Restaurant, bar, tennis at good standard. Would partially need some refurbishmrent. The staff changes very often, not at the right level for the expected service.
• Foodhunter2010 (4/5): not a nice stay after a hard working day - I can´t recommend this Hotel. This location is loud and the rooms have had some better days in the past. The bad surprise in the late evening was that the reception staff gave me a room, which had not been cleaned before. So I had to go back to the reception to ask for another room. For that incident I received no apologizes from the Hotel Keeper. The Staff tried to explain that the computer system had shown that this room had been cleaned before. I had to show them that the reality was not corresponding to the status shown by their computer... Finally I got another room, which was clean but still old fashioned and loud.
