- Judith (10/5): - Lovely, comfortable cottage in a perfect, tranquil village.
- Paula (8/5): - I loved the cottage and the location easy access to anywhere.Lovely and idyllic peaceful . Nice walks to take the dogs. Everything you needed was available in cottage very relaxing. Loved it Garden was dissapointing as over grown
- mohammed (8/5): - Excellent what can I say. A very beautiful cottage in a peaceful location, with scenic surroundings. Highly recommended! Thank you
- keith (9/5): Relaxing holiday, lovely friendly village with a vilkage green just along the lane - plus a gandy pub. - Spacious and comfortable. Although the garden was away from the cottage, the dining room doorway and stone steps had sunshine from late morning until evening. It is located just this side of the wall on the photo where the red plants are, around the corner of the cottage. Sitting in the doorway over the steps surrounded by climbing plants in this tiny courtyard was lovely. We did have our own director’s chairs so could sit in the sunshine with a glass of bubbly, chilling and reading and enjoying the peaceful village and having a chat with one or two people as they passed. Although we had the relaxing holiday we wanted, the TV was small to see as it is positioned in the corner but it was clearly shown in the photos when we booked so we knew what to expect.
- Derek (8/5): Beautiful cottage, not disabled friendly. - Car parking awful, found it difficult to find parking space at times.
- Mcdowall (7/5): Pleasant enough base for exploring northeast Dartmoor, didn’t feel welcome or relaxed being there. - Lovely location. Pub was gastro- pub, not the informal kind of local you can spend an evening in by the fire socialising. Nice, but expensive. The appeals to micro- manage the cottage for the owners to protect their investment. Sorry; but that’s how it felt. Didn’t feel comfortable using anything, including the heating, hot water, toilet rolls and most distressingly, the log burner to keep the running costs down. The rugs walked and threatened to stop the front door from opening. Apart from being extremely annoying, it doesn’t actually achieve what they were put there for- to protect the carpet and provide somewhere to disrobe and de- shoe. A fitted washable mat and a bench would be better. Would have liked some history about the cottage and occupants. It suited us for a few days as a base for walking. There was only one bin in the village for poo disposal. Recycling is a complete mess- not the fault of the owners . We took it home. Cleanliness was poor. Mould +++in cupboard where videos kept and on shower screen and plug holes. It needs to be lived in really all the time.
- Inez (3/5): Due to the lack of communication, we left the property earlier as planned. Never got any response anymore on our complai - The property looked nice, and the environment is beautiful We were informed on the day of arrival that some repair was needed in the bathroom, it was planned for the sunday (next day). Nobody showed up, after contacting, no response (only a phonecall, which does not make sense if there is not cellphone coverage in the area!) untill we left. So we do not like the service at all!
The property was not clean, bathroom, kitchen etc.
No cellphone coverage in the area, which was not mentioned upfront (fully dependent on the wifi)
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good - Situation No where to sit in garden
- Richard (8/5): a lovely break -
- Jean (8/5): Very good -
