Guest Reviews
- Marc (10/5): Stunningly beautiful. - Mill Cottage was immaculate and had everything we required plus a beautiful view from bed with a cuppa in a morning. Only a short walk to a local brew pub for some home cooked food and the bus stop was only the same distance so we didn’t really need the car once we parked up. That’s a huge bonus as the car parks are extremely busy. Just down the lane there is also a farm shop with a great butchers onsite.
- Peter (8/5): Great stay overall would be happy to go again - Very cosy, had everything we needed, great location close to Windermere Parking arrangements could be better. We parked outside the property all week with no issues
- John (10/5): Relaxing week spent exploring the Lake District - Close to Windermere with a good pub serving food a few minutes away. Good bathroom and kitchen and comfortable bed. Couldn’t fault it
- Keith (9/5): Nice, clean and comfortable. - Convienient location just off the A590, 3 miles from the centre of Windermere. Ideal for exploring the Lakes. Local facilities include a shop, pub and farm shop with restaraunt. The accomodation is a modernised old stone cottage, well appointed for holidays. My personal preferance would have ben a walk-in shower in the bathroom rather than the step over into the bath. For the elderly (that's us) it creates a possible hazard particularly with no grab handles.
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (9/5): I would not hesitate to book again! Really enjoyed this pretty cottage. - Lovely quiet location. Neat cottage, comfortable bed ensuring good night sleep, Exceptionally clean on arrival. Great communication with the host. Parking is right outside. The access road is adjacent to a caravan park but these are privately owned holiday lodges and very quiet. The only sound at night is the gentle stream running through the grounds below the cottage. If you don't like the sound of song thrushes, sheep and babbling brook then this is not for you. Loved the shady terrace at the back of the property for evening drinks Having to leave.
