Guest Reviews
- Victoria (8/5): A lovely family getaway - Lovely and spacious
- Jenny (10/5): - Lovely, clean apartment with lovely open kitchen/living room area. All bedrooms comfortable. Lovely location and enjoys spa/ swimming pool too x Nothing
- Nolwenn (9/5): - The house was lovely, cosy and clean.
My husband and kids had a good go at the pool and spa facility while I was hicking. Nothing to dislike, I'll go back there.
- Keir (9/5): -
- Rob (8/5): Lovely stay - highly recommended - The size of the cottage was fantastic and meant we didn't feel like we were constantly on top of each other. The cottage was well-equipped and furnished really nicely.
The grounds of the holiday village had plenty to do for the kids and the wider village facilities were excellent. Just a few of minor points - none of which are showstoppers:
1.) The code for the key box was wrong so we got very wet on the doorstep trying to gain access to the property.
2.) Dishwasher was broken - we were informed beforehand but still a bit annoying.
3.) It's an up side down house, which was a great novelty for the children. However, it means you spend a lot of time upstairs and with no stair gate, our 1yr old couldn't really tottle around without the constant risk of falling down the stairs.
- Rebecca (10/5): Stunning! - Beautiful, stunning and well Maintained accommodation. If I return to the lakes with friends again for our next charity trek we will certainly look into the availability here it was spectacular Nothing about the property was a negative it was lovely. The bedding was lovely and fresh and well looked after. Pillows are very chunky so if you like a thin one then bring your own but that’s literally all I can say in terms of a negative.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Dawn (6/5): Good value. - Comfortable and modern accommodation. Superficially clean however alot of high up cobwebs.
Kitchen well stocked with crockery and cutlery. Warm accommodation as it was bitterly cold. Car park close to accommodation. Cobwebs. Needs another large frying pan. Couldn't get grill to work, not coming hot at all. Having to strip beds on last morning took time out of our stay as we had planned on having a last swim but with 4 children this made it impossible to do and be checked out for 10am.
Gym not in use and not informed prior to stay. No changing rooms, we were hidden behind a temporary curtain with no door so anyone could have popped their head around. No toilets available near the pool. This changed our enjoyment for our trip as this was the main reason for booking here as we have 4 children.
- Chris (10/5): The property was amazing and very comfortable. It was peaceful and there were a couple of towns to visit either side wit - The propery was lovely, really well decorated and had everything we needed
- Atif (8/5): Very good -
- Veronica (10/5): Fabulous - Everything. The standard of the property far exceeded expectations. A problem with the toilet. It was dealt with as soon as humanly possible!
- Julie (10/5): Lovely two night stay with family - Very well presented property, bed extremely comfortable with good quality linens, house spotlessly clean, kitchen has high spec appliances beautifully house would definitely recommend Nothing
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb -
- Elaine (10/5): Fantastic property in a great location - A beautifully appointed and very well equipped house with everything you need for a very comfortable stay.
- Robbie (10/5): This place is truly a hidden gem! - This accomodation has got to be one of the best ones I have stayed in. I had the best night's sleep in my bed, my 5 year old son, who is normally a poor sleeper slept the whole night in his room. The decor was contemporary and stylish. I absolutely loved the upstairs, with the lounge and kitchen, plus the views were spectacular. It was an absolute joy to stay there and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- Maddy (9/5): Superb - The space was comfortable for family of four. The cleanliness and utilities in the room are at high standards. The pool and spa facilities was good and kids enjoyed the stay. The location is connected to county’s which is good for a day break for sightseeing. Overall it’s good and comfortable stay.
- Jasur (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Great living space upstairs. Convenient location.
- Michelle (8/5): Great break! - Beautiful home, we’d definitely be back! No microwave or handwash - we’ll know for next time.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Very high standard of accommodation and
- Helen (8/5): Very good -
- Heather (8/5): Very good -
- Gill (10/5): Great stay, fabulous cottage on a beautiful site with plenty to keep the family occupied. - The property has been fully refurnished and has everything you need. The site was fantastic, there’s a pool, mini golf, a park and the restaurant serves delicious food.
- Linda (8/5): Had a good time despite some facilities not being available! - The cottage was lovely it has just had a make over. It was not quite finished but the owner let me know this before we arrived. It did not impact on our stay. There was everything you needed to cater for yourselves if need be! The restaurant and bar was not open during our stay. This was very disappointing but there was a lot of snowfall before we arrived and I think they had staffing problems. The heated swimming pool and jacuzzi were quite cool we were told about the pool before we entered. We were also told it was a boiler problem but a local says the pool is always dialled down in the colder months I quess it’s a cost cutting exercise.
- Paul (10/5): Fab short break. Would definitely recommend - Good location for exploring the Lake District with easy road access. Was warm and clean with everything we could need. Less than 5 minute walk to onsite private indoor pool, bar and restaurant. Enjoyed sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Gym too but we didn’t have time to check it out. Parking close by and parking outside to drop off luggage. All good.
