Guest Reviews
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - The space, room and the 2 bathrooms
- William (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous. Will be staying there again.
- Justin (4/5): Location good and Chester was lovely but property a little disappointing. - Property was a little shabby and tired. Light out in bathroom and very noisy fan. Smaller than anticipated especially 2nd bedroom but to be fair great location and for a quick stay was fine and well equipped and we had a lovely time.
- Diana (7/5): Good - Location Had to re-wash a dish before use. The main bathroom smelt a bit damp.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Virginia (10/5): Fantastic property - Great quiet location. Lovely clean apartment with everything there we could wish for. Clean comfortable beds and fantastic amenities. There was a gated car park for our car. Within walking distance of Chester City Centre. Would definitely book again. Thank you so much There was nothing we didn't like
- Tuija (10/5): An excellent place to stay when visiting Chester! - The accommodation was nicely sized and clean, and it was located in an excellent spot. We missed a little having a space where we could spread out or store our suitcases.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Kim (10/5): Fabulous stay. Will book again? X - Close to Chester racecourse Nothing to say
- Gail (9/5): Great apartment in centre of Chester, with all the amenities you could need for your stay. - Perfect location for visiting the centre of Chester. Beds too soft for my preference
- David (8/5): Pleasant and Comfortable Apartment - A pleasant & comfortable stay in a compact ground floor apartment within a quiet location near the canal. Within fairly reasonable walking distance of the city centre, and with access to the city walls and canal towpath a short walk from the accomodation. Although we didn't use it, a car parking space is available if needed. Would recommend for a short stay.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent appartment within easy walk of city walls.
- Russell (6/5): Pleasant - Close to city centre The smell of damp through out the apartment needs updating the beds are uncomfortable
- Anne (8/5): Very good - Comfortable, warm and well equipped. Excellent location for us. Actual property difficult to find as no number on the door!
- E (7/5): Close but.... - Excellent location provided you don't want to sit outside. Plenty of room. Good level of equipment and facilities. Normally quiet (except for New Year's Eve where the flat above had a party until 2am). The advertised outdoor areas were not private, being the building's gravelled communal area on a public pavement. There was no key to the building's front door so the only access was through the french windows (not patio doors as there was no patio, terrace or outdoor dining area). The property wasn't absolutely clean when we arrived (evidence of a previous meal on the dining table, and rubbish under the bed in the main bedroom). The en-suite's shower needs a new washer (water was spraying in a number of directions, not just through the head) and the integral plug to its sink doesn't work.
- Deonne (7/5): It was sufficient for our stay, a nice place and location if all the group were good walkers - It was sufficient for our stay and close to the canal but just a bit too far from the city centre as 2 of the group struggle with long walks Only one entry and exit point, the back door didn’t open and the beds were too small really when sharing them
- Joy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (7/5): Good -
- Siobhan (8/5): Great stay in Chester - Great location, short walk into Chester.
Quiet location.
Comfortable.
Tea and coffee available. All good.
Some coat hooks would be useful.
- Janet (9/5): Great location within walking distance to the main attractions - The property was in a quiet neighbourhood at the side of the canal. It was within walking distance of all attractions, bars, restaurants and the Xmas market. It had all the amenities we required for a lovely weekend away with friends.
- Rhoda (8/5): Very good -
- Bridget (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Great location, practical and overall good value for money. - Location was ideal for walking into the centre via the city wall. The apartment was well furnished and the heating and hot water use was straightforward and efficient. Table was practical and stowed away providing extra space.
Parking was ideal for 1 car by the patio doors. Apartment was easy to drive to. Some of the crockery and table mats and cutlery needed to be washed before use. 1 bed was a little small for a taller member of our party.
- David (8/5): comfortable and great location - Great location for Chester racing and Telford Warehouse pub great food. Clean and tidy ideal for two couples
- Alyson (10/5): We had a fabulous time. The Appartment was perfect for us. - Location Nothing everything was excellent
- Caroline (5/5): Passable - Property was in a quiet area of Chester and was easy to find. Unfortunately we were unable to get the oven to work, and there were no instructions in the property or model number obvious on the oven so we couldn’t look up instructions online. We were also unable to get out of the car park at the end of the stay as the car park gate fob had run out of battery. There was quite a lot of dust under furniture in the lounge (areas explored by small but mobile children).
- Wendy (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent, the Appartment was comfortable and homely and the parking facilities were very good.
- Lynn (5/5): Would not return or recommend unless we knew the issues were sorted out. - The location was the best part The place would have been really nice if it had been cleaned properly. The flat needs decorating all over and really needs a new sofa, it was so uncomfortable. Including the sofa bed.
We were asked on our arrival by email if all was ok so things could be put right but it was too late.
NB The socks were white before we walked on the floor. I told the grandkids not to walk around in shoes, big mistake.
- Diane (7/5): Enjoyable weekend, good location and great parking - The location was great, a 10-15 walk into the city centre. It was great to be able to park at the accommodation too. The property was well equipped and was well thought out. The communication from the owner was excellent and friendly throughout. Sadly the beds were uncomfortable, the mattresses were too soft for us so we didn’t sleep well, but appreciate others may not find this an issue.
Both sofas in the living area were really uncomfortable, you could feel the springs coming through on one of them. It was a shame as we didn’t feel able to relax properly.
- Samantha (10/5): A perfect stay! - My daughter and I booked this apartment on the strength of reviews on Booking.com. The instructions on where the apartment is and parking were brilliant , as was the assistance from Hyggehomes when we got lost (sat nav !!).The apartment is superb, and the extra touches (washing up liquid , cloths, sponge, tea towel) just made staying there so easy.
There is gated parking and the apartment was very clean and tidy, the water pressure was fantastic in both showers and a lovely deep bath.
The kitchen is really well kitted out - toaster, microwave, oven, washing machine, draining board.
All in all a very enjoyable place to stay , very close to parks and the city centre and excellent value for money. We would stay there again . Nothing - we would happily stay again!
- Pamela (10/5): Lovely accommodation clean comfortable and great hosts - Spotless. Lovely and welcoming hosts. Great location. On suite bathroom Nothing
- A (8/5): Very good -
- Valerie (9/5): Nice apartment in residential area - Good size apartment for 2 couples. Plenty of storage space in kitchen area. Good supply of dishes and glasses. Location was excellent for the racecourse. Facility to park 2 cars was very convenient 2nd bedroom was a little small but it was not a problem
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- J (9/5): Superb - facilities and location to town
- Stephen (7/5): Great location with parking for 2 cars but property needs updating - Location of as great and good to have parking for 2 cars The same issues raised multiple times by previous guests. Such as lounge sofa pretty uncomfortable and loo seat in en suite broken. Could also probably do with some modernisation.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Niall (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location to the city. Parking for 2 cars.
Well equipped kitchen.
- Kevin (7/5): Great location - Excellent location, spacious apartment, parking for 2 cars Several minor maintenance issues such as poorly fitting doors, broken toilet seat etc. Cleaning issues with mildew on walls by window and very dusty skirting boards.
- Christine (7/5): Honest opinion of potentially great accomodation - Location good . Easy to find . Good safe parking. Everything you need facilities wise. On first impression once inside the property it looks dated and in need of a bit of a re furb. Although basically clean, the doors in particular were dirty and needed a good clean and a good coat of paint. Seating area dirty and dreary looking. . Ensuite bathroom in the main bedroom grubby.
- Vance (9/5): Great Place to Stay - Great location, well decorated and great value for money Just a couple of niggles, one of the beds was slightly broken but not a big deal, one of the sofas were very uncomfortable and the shower in the main bathroom was quite difficult to turn on.
- Lynn (5/5): Passable - Good location En suite shower door/ and frame was brown
Needs a new screen. Couldnt use it
- Val (6/5): Despite the cleaning issues we enjoyed our visit - Location very good -easy access to centre of Chester Cleaning very poor - we couldn’t talk about it as it was a mini holiday for our special needs adult sister however communication with hosts via messages was good - we sent them photos and afterwards they refunded the cleaning cost to us.
- Bryan (9/5): Superb -
- Mick (9/5): Pleasant, good location, and would consider staying again. - The location was excellent for the city centre, only a 15 minute walk. The property had all the facilities you would need, even for an extended stay. Secure parking was available. One of the settees was quite uncomfortable, but fortunately we didn't need to use it. We would have preferred better bedding, e.g. a king size quilt.
- Sheila (8/5): Very good - Good location , short walk to the centre of Chester.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely find very clean and spacious .
- Rebecca (7/5): Good - Location Beds & settee were not comfortable & cleanliness
- Eleanor (9/5): Very central, well appointed flat. - Very easy access to the City Walls. Bathroom plus en-suite meant that we could all get ready quickly in the morning. Well equipped kitchen. The llama picture in the living room 😂 Seriously,it’s a very central flat. All on the flat if you have mobility issues. We parked in the designated spot and did not use the car at all for three days.
- Roz (3/5): Needs money spending on it - Location was good but lots of issues which have been reported to the company Beds, towels, mouldy shower, no door number on property, uncomfortable settee, completely frozen up freezer, lights with missing bulbs
- Kirsty (9/5): Fab stay - It was a wonderful place to stay and really lovely decor. Furniture looked lovely too and even down to the details of the tiles in the bathroom. Also, it felt so roomy and it was great that if you wanted a dining room table you could pull it out but if not you could do what we did and leave it against the wall which gave us so much space. Great amount of room sofa wise with the ability to pop you feet up which with injuries and pain that we live in we found this fab. Parking outside of French doors so didn't even need to go in and out of the car park. We also left our charger behind and they sent it too us and we just sent them the postage. Lovely Turkish restaurant in town and great eyemazy place would recommend with more restaurants opposite. We travelled half hour away into wales and went on a horse drawn canal boat which was fab. So so much to do in chester They only thing that really needs changing is the Sofa's, especially the sofa bed as we liked the configuration of the but on of the springs was raised and definitely not a comfortable sleep which wasn't great as I already live in pain but the other 2 rooms are double beds which is good and I would 100% stay there again as it was a fab place. I would just message them first and see if the sofa bed has been replaced first. Then I would be more than happy to make this my regular stay whenever I want to go to chester or anywhere near.
- Darryl (8/5): Enjoyed our stay in Chester fantastic location - Spacious and nicely decorated great location Couch was uncomfortable especially one against the wall also bed very uncomfortable very soft and crikey
- Susan (6/5): Pleasant - Location Uncomfortable bed. Could have been cleaner.. no number on door so hard to find
- Lorna (9/5): Great place to stay - The apartment was in a good location and was comfortable with all we needed during our stay.
- Jeanette (7/5): Good -
- Kathleen (8/5): Good stay with friends - Not applicable
- Sharon (9/5): Superb - Excellent location and very well equipped. Great communication from hosts.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was lovley. Great location..would definitely recommend
- Barbara (9/5): Superb -
- Suzannah (10/5): Exellent property - clean and very easy access to Chester and surrounding areas. easy to find with parking. we used the gravel parking in front of the property nothing everything was good
- Moira (10/5): This is a lovely property in a prime location. We literally parked up and walked everywhere. A really comfortable stay - - The layout of the rooms and the location.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Carole (9/5): Convenient quite location which was comfortable and very well equipped, also it was easy parking. - The location was easy to find and it was very quite and just about a 15 to 20 minuet walk to the town centre. The apartment was very comfortable and all 4 of us felt at home there. As a group of 4 we feel nothing could have been better than it was.
- Helen (9/5): Superb - location was good
- Kate (10/5): fantastic - everything nothing
- Tracey (9/5): Great accommodation! - A lovely, clean, modern, spacious, well equipped accommodation. Great location, only a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Comfortable bed and very quiet. Secure parking bay.
Great communication with the hosts. Thank you.
- Sharon (6/5): Good location to places . - Location great nice and quiet great access to town Needed a more dusting in places skirting boards and behind bedside cabinet was thick of dust
- Caroline (8/5): Very pleasant base for a visit to lovely Chester - Excellent communication with host. The apartment is a very well equipped, clean accommodation in a quiet area next to the canal. The allocated parking was a huge bonus and we enjoyed walking into the city via the canal path. Although we were mostly out and about, the time we did spend in the apartment was relaxing and comfortable. Apartment smelled as though someone had been smoking in there when we arrived, but this cleared when we aired it. The freezer is so iced up it's unusable. Roses around door could do with trimming back.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - Tv could have worked better ,
- Aileen (8/5): Very comfortable property Lovely location - When we arrived the patio doors that you entered the didn’t say 39 Waters Edge so we had to ring for assistance Lady on the phone very helpful A plaque with this written on would be most helpful

- William (9/5): Superb -
- Pauline (9/5): very comfortable stay. would recommend - very close to the racecourse and town centre
- David (10/5): Ideal property for a short break - Location was superb, just a short walk into town centre. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well-equipped, although only used for drinks and breakfast. No issues with WiFi and supported 5 people at times.
Would recommend and if we return to Chester, would happily stay there again. Nothing to dislike
