- Pascal (10/5): -
- Steve (5/5): Lovely place , would of stayed again later in year but turned off by issues - Fabulous location, comfy beds , good kitchen, easy check in , toilets and showers for both bedrooms Heating and hot water packed in after first night , did contact the owner but had no reply so had to use the cooker to warm the room , boiled kettle to wash dishes , hair dryer only blows cold air , very poor as in no reply to obvious big problem
- Shenil (8/5): - Fantastic location and surroundings. Cosy well equipped cottage. Bed mattress not comfortable, didn't sleep too well. Sofa not very comfortable either
- Ben (9/5): A cosy and peaceful countryside stay in a beautiful location. - We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful and cosy cottage. It had everything we needed and felt incredibly comfortable throughout our trip. It was beautiful to wake up and see the cows/sheep in the farm nextdoor to the cottage. The host was so helpful and made everything seamless (Jane was super responsive and a pleasure to communicate with). The location was perfect - only a short drive to Betws-y-Coed, which made it an ideal base for exploring North Wales. The peaceful surroundings made for a really relaxing getaway. As is common in this part of the area, the drive to the cottage involves a few winding, narrow roads.
- Gemma (9/5): -
- Jane (10/5): Cosy country cottage - Lovely cosy cottage, in a stunning location, with everything you need to enjoy your stay.
- Cameron (10/5): A cosy, wholesome cottage stay!! - A very beautiful, cosy cottage with everything we needed, host was very helpful and everything was perfect, about 6/7 minute drive to Betws y coed which was perfect. Would love to come back and stay in the bigger cottage with hot tub! Looked amazing Nothing
- Ahsan (10/5): Cosy - Very cosy and nice location. The cottage had everything necessary. We really the private and quiet environment. No concerns
- Samuel (10/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): Relaxing and wholly enjoyable - The location is stunning and the property outstanding Nothing
- Katie (9/5): A lovely cute cottage stay - Such a cute little cottage in a quiet, serene location. We had easy access to hikes in North Wales and the rural area was beautiful. The house was small but well-equipped with everything we needed.
- Matthew (10/5): Amazing place, clean, well equipped, great owner, peaceful. Bring your walking boots. We will be back x - Everything. Beautifully clean. Checked in early. Fantastic communication with the owner. Will definitely be coming back x Even told we didn’t need to check out at 10.00. Thank you Jane You cannot get a taxi from the local town to the cottage. It’s a good walk with a very steep hill. We didn’t mind this as we are keen walkers, but you will need to drive if not prepared to take on this hill. It’s a good 30mins walk to the town.
- Glenn (10/5): Lovely stay in a lovely area - responsive, friendly, but not intrusive host. Not spacious but very cozy and we would hap - Loved the proximity to all the beauty the area has to offer! The building itself. The welcome basket. Comfortable bed. The responsive host. Highly recommended The roads to the cottage are narrow and winding but not unusual for the area.
- David (10/5): Maes Madog Ysgubor provided everything we needed, and more, for a wonderful stay - The nice and greatly appreciated welcome tray.
The free and pretty speedy wi-fi.
Combi boiler allowed for on-demand hot water.
Excellent shower.
Comfortable lounge area.
Excellent outdoor space and plentiful parking.
Plentiful utensils, cutlery and crockery.
Towels provided.
Very comfortable accommodation.
Would recommend unreservedly! N/A
- Sian (6/5): Pleasant stay - Very clean and bedrooms were comfortable. White Horse pub is a ten-minute walk from the property and does great Thai food. Nice views on nearby walks. Kitchen could be better equipped - no decent chopping knives or wooden spoons. Leather sofa was not comfortable. The dining table was tiny and there were two armchairs and a stool instead of dining chairs. As the cottage is remote, it would be nicer to have a better sitting and dining space.

- alan (10/5): This is a great place to get away and be with nature and the countryside. - Quiet, cosy and comfortable. A lovely location, quite remote.
- Tope (10/5): -
- Clark (10/5): - It was a lovely stay in a quiet location. The property was very clean and had everything needed for the stay. Super close to Betws-y-coed and was a great base to walk up snowdon - 30 mins in the car to Pen-y-pass. Nothing :)
- Daiga (10/5): Cottage had everting what we needed . Perfect location to enjoy nature . - Perfect location to escape busy city life .Cottage was in lovely location not far from town and outdoor activities .

- Emma (10/5): Perfect - The location is beautiful and so quiet. We stayed in Stable Cottage which is utterly charming and well equipped. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and we had a bottle of prosecco, some Welsh cakes and chocolate left as a welcome which was lovely. This is our second time staying here and it certainly won't be the last. We are very sad to be leaving today but we will book again as soon as possible.

- Havva (10/5): Amazing stay. Perfect for some R&R and gorgeous surroundings. - Gorgeoys cute cottage tucked away in the countryside and just a 5 minute drive into the village with all amenities, lovely pubs and starting points on gorgeous walks.
The property has the most comfiest bed. Everything you need for a couple days stay.
The property was easy to access on arrival with a bottle of prosecco, chocolates and biscuits as a welcome package, which was a lovely touch.

- Lee (9/5): - The Pods and location are amazing, tucked away, lovely and peaceful but a stones throw from Betws y coed.
The welcome gifts are a wonderful touch and hosts are lovely. I’ll definitely come back Nothing
- Jason (9/5): - Was excellent all round. Vert warm, clean and cosy. My only gripe wold be UHT milk but, fizz and chocs more than made up for it.
- mark (9/5): - Lovely, quirky cottage. Great location for walks, easy access to amenities
- Ffion Mills (10/5): - Excellent location, excellent value for money and we will definitely be going here again. Fantastic
- Marius (9/5): Lovely, comfortable and cozy stay in Snowdonia - Location - quiet area still close to town and Zip world. Log burner - nice atmosphere and warmth on the cold winter nights. The host provides all necessary for a couple of days of fire.
- Andrew (9/5): Our second stay and no doubt we'll be back again. A great place to come. Very relaxing. - Lovely quiet location. Nice touches in the cottage. Very clean. This is our second time there.
- Dhivya (8/5): - We had a wonderfully cozy and relaxing stay at Maes Madog Farm Cottage. The atmosphere was very pleasant and peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind. The cottage itself is extremely well kept clean, comfortable, and truly cozy. A big thank you as well for the lovely welcome gift, which was a really thoughtful touch. We absolutely loved our time here and would happily return.
- Katy (10/5): - Everything! It's an amazing stay, lovely & generous hosts & a beautiful location. There's nothing to dislike
- Sylvie (8/5): Brilliant place to stay for a few days, so peaceful and beautiful! - The location is fab, the cottage itself is perfect for a couple. Nothing!
- John (10/5): Christmas in Maes Madog Cottage, in Betws-y-coed - The cottage is in a very peaceful area, however shop's and restaurants are within 5 minutes drive. Bedroom could've been organised slightly better, then there would have been more room.
- Sean (10/5): -
- Charlotte (10/5): - Lovely welcome treats, warm cosy cottage with excellent kitchen facilities
- Krzysztof (10/5): -
- Marzena (10/5): Little hidden gem - Little hidden gem on outskirts of Betsy Coed.
Very comfy bed, clean rooms. All you need for couple of nights. Thank you for welcoming gifts. Would love to stay there again
- Chris (9/5): -
- Patrick (10/5): Beautiful little cottage, nestled in the countryside, picturesque and quiet! - The property is nestled in the countryside, super quiet and beautiful! It’s at least a 40min walk to the main village, but, if you’re looking for a quiet stay it’s perfect - it’s only 5min drive if you do want to go
- James (10/5): -
- Smith (9/5): Great location … loved the cottage… - Everything needed for a comfortable weekend Can’t fault anything
- Dawn (10/5): Warm and cozy cottage in a peaceful location - I firstly loved the look of the cottage on the website, and the star rating and reviews which were exceptional. All added up to me booking this beautiful cottage as a surprise for my husbands 60th Birthday. We only live an hour away so an ideal location, the photos of the cottage looked amazing but the views just looked stunning and so peaceful. Jane the owner was really quick at replying to any questions i had, and indeed met us on arrival. She had even gone out of her way and got him a lovely bottle of wine to celebrate with! My husband was absolutely blown away by the cottage. It was warm, inviting, cozy and just exactly what we needed after a busy week. The kitchen is first rate with everything you coukd need, the bed was huge (and my husband is 6"5'!) And so very comfortable. The bathroom is immaculate just like the rest of the cottage. It truly is a beautiful location and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Jane and Huw weve had the BEST time!
We"ve recommended to all our friends and family There's absolutely nothing I can say that we didn't like!
- William (10/5): - Log burner was great.
- Eileen (10/5): -
- Shelley (10/5): Beautiful- highly recommend! - Location
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Jones (10/5): -
- Krzysztof (10/5): - Very nice, cosy, warm cottage
Well equipped to high standards, everything we needed to have our stay comfortable
Best bed and mattress!

- Felicity (9/5): Lovely rural cottage - It was in a lovely rural location. The cottage was clean and cosy with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the welcome treats were a lovely touch.
Plenty of space to park and very safe area. It is an old property with beams and sloping ceilings upstairs which added to its charm but worth being aware of it you are very tall.
- Abby (10/5): Returned for a second time! Fantastic! - This is our second time returning and was just a great as the first. Everything you needed was there. Great and peaceful location. Stunning views. Close to a lovely town. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
- Derek & Trudy Shepherd (9/5): A beautiful rural location. - A beautiful rural location close to Betws-y-Coed and in the heart of Snowdonia
- Altiera (10/5): We had a lovely short stay at Maes Madog farm cottages and can't recommend it enough. - A beautiful, warm and historic stone cottage in a peaceful location. The cottage inside was very well decorated, clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could have needed. We were delighted for find that in addition to the bathroom we also had an en suite off the main bedroom.
There was plenty of information in the cottage from the host about the location, wi fi code, local facilities and things to do as well as some good descriptions of local beauty spots and places to eat.
There is plenty of parking at the location as it is at the end of a private road in a large clear area. Can't think of anything to be honest, we were really happy with everything.
- wan aishah wan harun (10/5): Perfect for leisure - The place was way better than we thought. We loved the choc box gift and the place is so beautiful! I wish they provide shower gel or 2 in 1. Had to go out to buy one.
- Perry (10/5): -
- REBECCA (10/5): A beautiful place to stay great location! - The location was picturesque, remote but ideal for walks. It was lovely and quiet and not far from the nearest town which you can walk to. The cottage had all the amenities you need! It was clean, tidy and the little welcome package was a lovely touch! Nothing!
- Laura (7/5): Charming and with a nice kitchen, but very small and remote and the bed could be better - The cottage is very charming albeit very small. We were on a month long roadtrip through Wales and had quite some luggage with us and we were unable to leave our suitcases open, because there was simply not enough space. It's really nice to have both a stove top and an oven, because it gives you options for cooking. However, kitchen utensils are limited and there aren't any decent supermarkets around, so you'll have to eat whatever (few) vegetables and meat (sausages, always sausages) they have stocked. The mattress is so soft that you roll towards the middle and are lying in a soft pit. We had trouble sleeping properly because of it.
The location of the cottage is a 10 minute drive from Betws-y-Coed, so there is nothing (shops or pubs or restaurants) within walking distance and you need to take a car. The best walks in Snowdonia, in our opinion, are around Capel Curig, Pen-y-Pass, and Llyn Ogwen, which are still a drive from the cottage.
- Miriam (9/5): Gorgeous country stay - Property was superb, in a lovely location with great facilities and was a really relaxing and cosy place to stay Nothing
- Chris (10/5): Ideal accommodation for our stay! - Lovely cottage in a beautiful area, few minutes from Betws y coed by car! Everything we needed was available! Nothing to dislike!
- Rob (9/5): Lovely stay and felt out in the wilds of Wales - Great kitchen and good all round facilities Lane to the property a bit bumpy
- Michael (10/5): - Lovely cottage, excellently equipped. Directions provided made the cottage easy to find. Very good location for walking. Had a fabulous weekend thanks
- Shannen (9/5): Cosy and warm. Very comfortable - The Stable Cottage (yellow door) was very quaint and perfect for 2. Modern kitchen and bathroom fitted. It was very warm and cosy. It is a little out the way of Bewts-Y-Coed. We needed to drive to get there and back. The bedroom was small. This wasn’t particularly an issue for us but could be for others. More hangers for clothes would have been good.
- Caroline (8/5): Loved the property and the lady we met on arrival was lovely and helpful our comments are hopefully taken constructively - Good location, comfortable, warm beautiful conversion and lovely comfortable bed and great facilities Oven door and fridge in need of repair and wasn’t as clean as could be given the market it’s aimed at. There was an empty plastic bottle under the bed and very dusty in places. the doors are quite damaged as not painted very frequently which does let it down as the property and wider site are immaculate
The remote control for the tv didn’t work properly. We don’t go away to watch tv granted but we had it on for an hour or so
It was advertised as having books and games but there were none.
- Keanan (9/5): Fantastic property in a lovely village to unwind and relax for a getaway weekend. - The location was very secluded, our host met us in person despite the heavy rain, and she was lovely and helpful when the village lost power, giving us a candle and keeping us informed at all times. The kitchen was well equipped, the place had everything you needed for a quiet getaway. The double bed in the property with the green door felt extremely squeezed in, not leaving much space to get into the bathroom or even into the bed! Everything else was great!
- Elise (9/5): - Wonderful location and host. The kitchen was fully equipped. Bed was pretty comfortable. The dryer didn't dry our clothes after two cycles so we had to run into town to the laundry mat.
There was some mold in the bathroom caulking.
- Bramley (10/5): Lovely stay very clean quiet area - Lovely cottage and quiet area Nothing
- Penny (10/5): -
- Jay Goolaup (10/5): - The hosts were great. The place was neat and clean and looked good. The surroundings seemed very serene, peaceful and green, although it was only 10-15 minutes from the 2 different towns. Good base overall to explore Conwy, Llandudno, Eryri National Park and Caernafon (30-60mins away).
- Ross (9/5): - Picturesque location, very comfy bed, great bathroom and kitchen facilities, very helpful host, plentiful parking, oodles of character. No shower toiletries provided.
- Stephen (7/5): Countryside escape - Location Could hear water from next door apartment every time they flushed the toilet or had a shower or even switched a tap on. So a bit noisy especially during the night
- Clare (10/5): A fab holiday overall - Clean, comfy and cozy. And was in a perfect location for everything and everywhere we was heading For us it was a little small
- Peter (10/5): -
- KINGA (10/5): Stunnig place, definitely worth checking out. Close to town but far enough to be quiet and cozy. - Beautiful views from the property, and it's situated in the most gorgeous spot. Very close to town, and stunning area to walk around as well. It was out second stay and we will be definitely be back! There is nothing we did not like. It was perfect!
- dana (10/5): -
- Thomas (8/5): Lovely cottage and location. - Lovely quiet location just a short drive from Betws y coed and zip world. The log fire place was lovely. Warm and cosy. We enjoyed our stay overall. Ideal get away with the family. No coffee machine or freezer, mattress in master bedroom was too small for bed and dipped down on sides. Shower overflowed.
- Daisy (8/5): -
- April (5/5): - The cleaners were there so handed me the keys and got me sorted on wifi etc. the kitchen and bathroom had been updated and were great. I had no problems with the internet and there was Netflix which I really enjoyed.
The home was close to all the attractions I wanted to do and see, so central to things. It was a little out of town on a narrow road - beautiful drive and I got to see squirrels, birds and sheep on the road one day when I was driving early one morning - so take care.
There were other people staying in the cottages available - they were all pleasant and the cottages quite sound proof. Some people have told me that it’s spider season and there were a number of daddy long legs type spiders in the apartment. That wasn’t really a problem till I woke in the morning to one descending from the ceiling down to my face. I contacted the owner who promptly came and dusted the ceilings etc and apologised, which was great, but didn’t clean all the dust etc up from her cleaning, so it was all over the bed and other places when I arrived home. Her quick response was great although I did need to kill another two spiders the next day - a hazard of the season perhaps. There was also a dead fly caught in the light in the bedroom.
This all made me question the cleanliness overall of the apartment and wondered how long it had been since the carpet had been cleaned or how old the bed was. I didn’t take my shoes off and walk on the floors the whole time I was there
The rug in the lounge also looked dirty and need of replacement. I don’t normally write poor reviews and I’m sure the owner is lovely but I couldn’t recommended this cottage and would never stay there again.
- Susie (8/5): Great stay, thank you - will be back! - Great location. Property was clean and cosy. Bedrooms were a good size and beds were very comfy. The downstairs bathroom was lovely but the shower was so slow to drain and sometimes flooded the floor

- Katie (9/5): Fab long weekend away in the countryside! Thank you ☺️ - Beautiful and convenient location surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Had everything we needed. Clean and well presented. Perfect for families.
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Nicely laid out cottage with great facilities. Two bedrooms each with an en suite toilet and shower room. Nice large shower cubicles.
The kitchen had everything you could need. The fridge and oven were bigger than what I have at home.
The thermostat allowed us to adjust the heating (although we only needed it one evening for a short while).
It was lovely and quiet even though all of the adjoining cottages had guests.
I would definitely book again.
Kids were happy with the wi-fi and smart TV. I can't think of anything negative.
- Peter (9/5): A lovely idyllic cottage in a great location - Nice peaceful cottage which was a matter of a few minutes drive from all the activities that my family and I had planned to do. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the host was helpful and prompt in responding to questions and requests. Due to the configuration of the cottages it felt that the outdoor cooking area and hot tub were exclusive to the largest cottage so we were a bit reticent to use them
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional - Everything a couple need for a few nights away. Nice and quiet location- just make sure you take groceries/provisions with you as there's only convenience stores in Betws-Y-Coed... Nothing to be fair
