Jeanette (10/5): Perfect barn in a stunning setting. - Beautifully restored barn in a beautiful setting. The hosts were welcoming and available if needed but also unobtrusive, which was perfect for us. Clean and comfortable and a short distance from a great pub, Dartmoor and a bus stop that has hourly buses into Tavistock and Okehampton. One of the best holiday rentals we have stayed at and we will definitely be regular visitors in future. We liked everything but dog owners be aware that there are free range chickens in the garden so dogs need to be supervised at all times.

Penny (9/5): Peaceful location - The barn was very clean & had everything you needed. Quirky decor but generally comfotable & welcoming. The garden area was particularly lovely. Very peaceful & private with comfortable outdoor seating. Convenient to be able to park off the village Street. Owners who live next door are extremely welcoming & helpful We found the bed area a little cramped in the alcove under the mezzanine floor & dark & the bed a little uncomfortable. It could have done with a king size quilt rather than a double to give better coverage.

Perfect base for exploring the area, seaside, moorlands, woods and forests, granite way. Townend Barn is a home from home with lovely hosts just on the doorstep for help and advice. Perfect stay in Lydford. There's nothing I can think of.

Helen (10/5): Exceptional - The Barn is beautiful and steeped in history. Beautifully presented with artwork and furniture which is really comfortable and very relaxing to be in. Pretty and spacious garden to enjoy with or without a dog, mine loved it!! Off road parking a bonus which adds to an overall stressfree stay. Quiet and private accommodation which enabled a great sense of having got away from it all. There was nothing I didn't like
Adrian (7/5): Gorgeous location for a long relaxing break away! - Great location (for the moors, village pub and gorge), comfortable bed,Grand piano(if you can play?) Dog friendly, lovely log burner. Only comment is a few cobwebs around...but it is s barn!
Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Lydford is the perfect base from which to explore Dartmoor, and Townend Barn is perfectly located within Lydford! Tania and Nick were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable.
