Guest Reviews
- Shannon (9/5): -
- Coulson (8/5): Cute hotel, easy bus access for your Machu Picchu assent! - The room was quaint and clean! The front desk attendant was lovely and met us at the train station to walk us to the hotel. Although I'm sure we could have found our way there, it was nice to not have to worry about it after a long travel day.
The breakfast was yummy and I appreciated that it started so early, allowing us to easily get food before heading out to catch our shuttle to Machu Picchu at 6 am.
If you shuttle up to MP, I highly recommend using the bus service a few doors down. They pick up right outside the hotel in the morning, so it was incredibly convenient for our trip up.
We also appreciated that the hotel held our luggage for free since our train wasn't until the afternoon. We were able to access both our luggage and the lobby restroom throughout the day, which was very helpful. This hotel was very noisy due to proximity to the river - our room also happened to be on the side of the building that faced the river, so that didn't help. Many hotels are near the river since it runs throughout the town, so not sure it's avoidable, but just something to be aware of. We figured when booking that we would have to deal with either the sound of the river or the train, and we opted for the river. There were also some dogs barking loudly throughout the night that my husband found disruptive.
The hotel had no AC, which seems relatively common in this part of Peru, especially as we went as they were headed into winter. However, it cooled off quickly once we opened the windows (though that made the sound of the river louder for us).
The town itself is very hilly. The hotel is toward the bottom of the tourist-end of the town, so anytime we wanted to get food, go into shops, etc. we were walking uphill. The location was great for the bus, a little removed from everything else.

- Tetiana (10/5): - A wonderful place to stay in Machu Picchu Pueblo. The room offered a beautiful view that made the experience even more special. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything needed. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying — a perfect start to the day. Highly recommended for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
- Jennifer (9/5): Highly recommend. - The owners were really helpful, showing us where to buy bus tickets to Machu Picchu. The location was excellent. Beautiful views of the river and close to the bus stop. Comfy beds and nice bathroom. Nothing. Great place to stay.
- Amy (10/5): -
- Jakob (10/5): - The kitchen guy was nice
- Erica (9/5): A small hotel with all the needed amenities - A small establishment but had all the amenities needed to visit Machu Picchu. Rooms are very clean with views of the Urubamba River roaring across the street(we went during rainy season). We stayed in two different rooms, as we extended our stay last minute and both rooms had balconies to enjoy a beer after spending all day at Machu Picchu. Beds were very comfortable and if you get chilly at night they do offer extra blankets.
The staff is so sweet, really helpful and kind. The person that works at the Front Desk also makes breakfast in the morning, which starts at 4am! He made eggs to order and they were delicious! They also have a small buffet with everything you need to energize for day of exploring Machu Picchu; fresh fruits, juices, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea and breads. They can also hold your luggage if you have to check-out and catch a train after your day at MP. It's a pretty easy walk to and from the train station, it is a mountain town, so some inclines on the way to the train station. Would definitely stay there again if I go back to Machu Picchu.
- Stankey (9/5): - Nice location across the street from the river which made for a good night sleep. They park the buses for Machu Picchu right outside on the road. This means you wake up with the first buses going up.
- Louisette (7/5): Prima - Goed ontbijt. Lief personeel.
Mooi uitzicht.
- Bethany (10/5): Loved our 2 night stay when visiting Machu Picchu. - Great location. Comfortable beds.
- David (5/5): - Location was good. Cool view! Pillows are like floppy pancakes and they only give you one
- Ivani (10/5): Simples, elegante e sincero. - Localização
Café da manhã Gostei de tudo
- Salomé (9/5): -
- Ana Lucia (9/5): Sehr gut - Die Location Reception sehr klein
- Guest (4/5): -
- Joachim R (10/5): - Kind staff, good breakfast, very nice strong shower
- Kiawna (6/5): A good base for exploring Machu Picchu - Good location with beautiful views, kind staff, tasty breakfast! The property was dark and the room was very small - it was a good thing we didn’t need to be there much since we were out at Machu Picchu most of the time. One little incident happened - when I was standing outside the property a big can of cleaner fell from the top story and landed right next to me - if I had been under it, it could have caused significant damage. Putting up a little barrier maybe could prevent this from happening! Overall a decent and minimalistic base for exploring Machu Picchu.
- Christine (9/5): Good value.Would recommend to others to stay here but beware of dog barking at night. - Nice location right along the river. About a five minute walk from the train station. The staff were accommodating and very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with good water pressure and hot water in the shower. Breakfast was served starting at 4:30 AM to accommodate early entrance tickets to Machu Picchu, and was delicious with lots of options. They stored our luggage while we journeyed to the site. It’s probably not under the property’s control but there was a dog barking under our window all night. Not continuously but at least once every hour.
- Chris (10/5): Great view, breakfast, and value! - Incredible view of the river! Absolutely the best breakfast! Very kind staff, clean, and we are so glad about the location as it was quiet with river views, but a short walk to everything you could want.
- Harrison (9/5): - Friendly staff and excellent breakfast
- Marli (9/5): Great location and very comfy - The location is great, not close to the noisy train yet still near the city centre. There’s a lovely view of the river and mountains. The staff were friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was varied and delicious.
- Denis (9/5): -
- Dominika (9/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): - Location was wonderful & friendly, helpful staff
- Michael (10/5): - stayed at Panorama B&B the night before my Huayna Picchu hike, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The gentleman at the front desk—Kristoff (apologies if I’ve misspelled his name)—was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He made me feel like I had my own personal concierge, walking me through everything I needed to be ready for the early morning adventure.
One of the standout features is that they start serving breakfast at 4:30 AM, which is perfect for anyone catching the first bus to Machu Picchu. It’s clear they understand the needs of hikers and go out of their way to accommodate them.
The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet—exactly what I needed to rest up before a big day. I’d absolutely recommend Panorama B&B to anyone planning a hike in the area. The service, attention to detail, and thoughtful amenities make it a standout choice in Aguas Calientes.
- Mason (10/5): - nice view
- Chris (10/5): - wifi was really good. Breakfast in the morning was good
- Luba (10/5): - Everything
- Janie (10/5): - This place has the best view. With it only being 8 units it’s a quiet and unique place.
- jules (8/5): - Insonorisation.
- Ximena (10/5): - Great staff and close to everything
- Frank (8/5): - The hotel itself is quite nice, although a 4th floor walk-up after a day of hiking is challenging. The area around the hotel is not very appealing, but the view of the river is inspiring and it was fun to sit on the balcony and watch the hikers stumble homeward. It is downhill from the buses and all the best restaurants so not ideal.
- Naomi (6/5): - Cosy hotel. Bathroom clogged while we were there. Lots of loud noise from the stairwell coming through the bathroom window.
- Kara (10/5): - Cute and cozy place to stay. The room smelt a little musty but there’s a lot of wood and it’s a wet area. It didn’t bother us. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the view was 10/10.
- Erick (10/5): -
- Jorge Noriega (9/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): - Tout Rien
- Hashim (8/5): - Super comfortable bed after a long traveling day. Not many frills, but piping hot water and comfy bed are an excellent start.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommended - The hotel was very cosy at 5 mins walk from the train station. Room were clean and well equipped. The breakfast was available at 4:30 am which was great because we could have breakfast before taking the 1st bus to Machu Picchu at 5:30 am. The owner was a great person and he recommended places to eat and things to do in the town. Highly recommended
- Steve (10/5): - The room was amazing and worth the price for the view alone. The room was clean, comfortable and decorated wonderfully. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend!
- Tracy (4/5): - Honestly? I wouldn’t stay here ever again. The water in the shower was cold and never heated up. The guy at the front desk indicated that it would heat up after an hour and it didn’t. The wifi barely worked. It’s next to the street where the dogs barked all night. There were no cups in the bedroom for making tea or coffee. And there was little space to put your own things in.
- Jean-Luc (10/5): - This hotel if worth the price, with an amazing view of the river and surrounding mountains. Highly recommend!
- GIANCARLO (9/5): -
Personnel sympathique.
Eau gratuite dans la chambre. Le petit déjeuner manque de choix.
- Igor (9/5): -
- Andy (10/5): - Christophe and his team were friendly, helpful and genuinely good people. Christophe even met us at the train station, carried my wife's bag and gave us all the info we needed as we walked to the Panorama.
Great location, great character to the place and just what we wanted for a 3 night stay.
Thanks for a great stay Christophe 🙏🏼 Next doors bar music was quite boom boom at times..... but not much you can do about that! Only a minor thing!
- dimas (10/5): -
- Yue Samantha (10/5): Great stay for Machu Pichu visit, the room has everything we need - The bed is super comfortable, the staff is helpful and friendly, the shower is spacious and water is hot. The breakfast selection can be improved, the soundproof isn't great, you can hear other people opening doors, talking or walking through corridor. We were a bit worried for the noise at night, but thankfully all the guests have been quiet and we had a restful night.
- Allison (10/5): Great Machu Picchu launch point in Aguas Caliente - This was a perfect one night stay before going to Machu Picchu. The rooms were really nice, with the hottest, strongest shower I've had in Peru. Breakfast was out at 430am to accommodate people with 6am entry tickets, and the staff was happy to store our luggage for us. Everything was easily walkable - the bus, the train station, the restaurants, etc. There is a bar next door and the window covers aren't blackouts, so you'll want ear plugs and/or an eye mask if you're a light sleeper and need to get to bed early.
- Benoît (10/5): -
- Andreas (9/5): - Nice B&B with cozy and clean rooms and nice view.
- Christopher (8/5): - Pretty nice place for 1 night. Had limited time here, but it was clean and well taken care of. A little expensive, but that's Auguas Calientes for you. Beds were comfortable enough and shower was decent, although there was limited hot water. Breakfast was just okay.
- Marinna (9/5): Best view - Beautiful view, great breakfast and comfortable beds! Shower could be better. Low pressure.
- FABIO (10/5): Top notch B&B - Excelent bed, shower and breakfast. Much above expectations. Fair pricing.
- Alejandra (10/5): - Fantastic stay! The views are amazing, and the place is a few min. of walking distance away from the center of the town. The hospitality was superb, the staff is very accommodating and met all our needs, including helping us with luggage to and from the train station (also a few minutes away). Very clean and quiet, all you hear at night is the stream of the river. 5 stars
- Matthias (8/5): -
- Laksh (6/5): - Its an average property, nothing exceptional compared to the price. Rooms are old and rusty
- Axee (10/5): - The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was spacious and had complimentary tea & bottled water when we arrived. The breakfast was adequate, the balcony was lovely & the beds were comfortable! Location was perfect, just a short uphill walk to get to the train/bus station and main square! Would absolutely recommend this little B&B.
- Maria (8/5): Nice clean place to stay while visiting Machu Pichu - Everything The water stopped coming out of the faucet 2 or 3 times while we were there.
