• Justine (5/5): Convenient and spartan room. - We were able to check in late. Convenient location. Very hot in the room. I didn't realize there wouldn't be a fan. The window only opened onto the central courtyard so no breeze. Could hear honking all night. No shampoo.

• Gustavo (10/5): - Ótima localização. Hotel próximo aos principais museus e pontos turísticos. A cerca de 1km do mercado municipal. Perto do terminal Tracopa, que vai ao Parque Manuel Antonio, e do terminal Tuasa que vai e volta ao aeroporto Santamaria. Além disso, a anfitriã Aida é muito gentil e simpática. Muito proativa, dá várias dicas de turismo e locomoção. A preocupação com o bem-estar dos hóspedes e com a limpeza é grande. Internet confiável, cama grande e boa, chuveiro com água quente. Varanda com vista para o principal museu da cidade. Recomendo fortemente para estadias longas ou curtas. Eu fiquei duas semanas e voltaria sem pensar duas vezes.

• Jabeen (10/5): Good accommodation, well located - Large, clean, comfortable bedroom with a nice sized en-suite, hot shower and friendly staff. Well located for shops and museums, but be aware if you go out at night. Breakfast at the cafe was good. Chap at the cafe next door wasn’t the friendliest.

• Lea (8/5): Hyggeligt lille sted midt i centrum af San José. - Beliggenheden var god og søde Aida var meget hjælpsom og opmærksom. Sengen og hovedpuderne trængte til en udskiftning. De havde tjent det de skulle.

Molto pulito, la camera veniva rifatta ogni mattina (cosa non successa spesso in questo viaggio) La finestra della camera dava su un corridoio interno e di conseguenza andava sempre chiusa

• Julian (8/5): Super localisation, personnel exceptionnel - Le personnel est très sympa, il y a un restaurant dans l’hôtel pour déjeuner, très pratique! La localisation est exceptionnelle aussi, c’est près de tout Un peu spartiate, et impossible de fermer totalement la fenêtre donc il faut avoir des bouchons d’oreille
• Joachim (10/5): Super Lage, freundlich, sauber, gutes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis - Sehr gute Lage nahe der Avenida 2 und dem Nationalmuseum. Zur Busstation an den Flughafen läuft man etwa 20 Minuten entlang der Avenida 2. Die Busse fahren alle 10-15 Minuten. Es war sehr sauber. Ich war zweimal dort und die Zimmer waren groß, das Bad mit Dusche auch. Direkt neben der Eingangstür ist ein Cafe, man kann dort gut Frühstücken. Es gibt auch frischen Saft mit vielen Früchten. In etwa 10 Minuten ist man zum Nationalteather gelaufen, in fünf Miunten ist man in der Füßgängerzone. Ich habe mich sicher gefühlt sowohl im Hotel, als auch in der Umgebung. Ich kann das Trianon Hotel empfehlen, freundlich, hilfsbereit, sauber. Nachts ist es teils laut durch Motorräder die viel lärm machen, aber das ist in ganz San Jose so - leider macht die Polizei nichts. Morgen und Abends hupt der Zug der nahe liegenden Atlantico Zugstation. Dort kann man nach Cartago fahren.
• Déborah (8/5): - Super pratique au niveau de l’emplacement. Arrivée à toute heure, merci pour l’accueil même tard 🙂. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Parfait pour un passage d’une nuit. Salle de bain privée avec eau chaude. Couverture supplémentaire sur demande. Disons que le prix va avec les détails, bruit, courant d’air et lit une personne vraiment petit. Comme dit plus haut, de passage arrivée tard et départ tôt c’était parfait.

• alfredo (6/5): Va bene per una notte - The property is in a good location. It’s centrally located and very convenient for getting around. The room is basic but well-equipped. The cost is corrected. A steep staircase to reach the room—not easy with luggage. The train is extremely noisy and starts running around 4:30 a.m. Breakfast is not recommended: very long wait times, but above all, the prices are definitely over the top.

• Derek (8/5): Cozy and clean family run business in the heart of San Jose and very secure. - Second stay here and has always been my favorite. The owner Aida and family are always on location to help or just greet with a smile, Aida is a very loving person and takes care of her guests. Love them all. Hotel was super clean everywhere, typical Costa Rican showers with heated showerhead that took the chill off the water and bed linens changed regularly, secure monitored entrance by staff. Wonderful setting with skylights and plants, balcony in front to enjoy view of National Museum. Close to many restaurants and sodas to to have a normal or light meal. I enjoyed walking the downtown core for shops, street talent and culture. Will always recommend this place, Thanks Aida! Well, not really in their control, but the trains regularly blowing their horns early morning were something to get used to. Don't plan to sleep in that's for sure. Otherwise, no complaints about the property, I enjoyed my stay once again.

Nous n'avons pas réussi à payer l'intégralité de la réservation en carte bancaire qui pourtant fonctionnait parfaitement partout ailleurs...règlement donc d'une partie en espèces pas le choix

Thankyou for making our stay such a good one - We were grateful that Aida kept in such good touch with us before our arrival and arranged for excellent taxi service from the airport. She warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home as if we were friends. The property as well as our room were very clean, cheerfully decorated and quiet despite the central location. Breakfast at the Imbiss adjacent to the hotel was excellent! We liked everything!!

• michael (8/5): Lovely travellers’ boutique hotel in central San José. - Excellent location near the museums, pedestrian street and Teatro National. The Señora in charge is a very kind lady. Hot water in the showers. Excellent value for the money. I stayed at Trianon last year and will again next year. Unfortunately my single bed was very uncomfortable.

• Caroline (10/5): Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis - Wir waren 2x für jeweils eine Nacht in San José, dabei immer im Hotel Trianon & es war dafür perfekt. Es ist super gelegen und die Besitzerin richtig herzlich. Alles war sauber und für uns hat alles gepasst. Das eine Mal hatten wir nur lauwarmes Wasser, war aber nicht schlimm. Das einzige, was man bemängeln könnte wäre der Verkehrslärm am Morgen. Allerdings sind wir das in Mittelamerika schon gewöhnt, also Oropax einstecken. ;-)

• Norbert (9/5): Gut geschlafen - Lage war gut, Centrum ist zu Fuß leicht erreichbar, Fussgängerzone um die Ecke,, Ende der Strasse kurz vor dem Museum mit einigen preiswerten Restaurants Buffet 3000 , Kaffee um die 600-800 in der Bäckerei. In der selben Ecke auf der anderen Seite ein Supermarkt. Hotel in der Nacht war sehr ruhig, (die Strasse hört man ein wenig aber nicht störend, am frühen Morgen hört am die Eisenbahn Pfeiffen). Die Besitzerin sehr freundlich. Auf meiner 5 wöchigen Tour war dies die teuerste Übernachtung. (Das habe ich aber beim Buchen gewusst daher eigentlich keine Kritik. Mir war wichtig dass ich die letzten 2 Nächte in einem ruhigen Hotel verbringe.) Restaurant neben an sehr teuer. z.B Kaffee 1200

• Ondrej (8/5): - The highlight is the approach from lady at reception = easy check and check out (at 5 a.m.). Close to city center and there are multiple shops and restaurants around. noisy due to the traffic = cars, buses, trains. Room key must be stored at reception when leaving the hotel.
