- Dag (5/5): Poor standard. Much better value at the hotel next door. - Good central location. Smelly toilet! Not very accommodating in their communications about arrival times, etc. Completely over priced! I would recommend spending a little more at the amazing hotel very close by.

She helped me get a taxi to the apartment and helped me find food nearby. She really cares and makes the whole stay welcoming. Private bathroom doesn’t mean attached. It means a room upstairs with a private key. Although Nilsa gave me access to one on the main floor it was a bit misleading. But not a big deal as it was just one night.

Also able to leave our bags pre check in as we were very early. Access to a fridge is v helpful. A kettle in the room would be great.

- Flavia (8/5): Excellent stay in a lovely guesthouse, a fantastic start to our Cape Verde adventure! - Vila Mira Mar is located in a quiet street but very close to the centre of Mindelo (just a short 5 minute walk), so it is an ideal starting point to explore the city. The staff was super helpful and provided a lot of information on restaurant, cafes, and practicalities. The room was lovely - the bathroom was just outside but this didn't cause any sort of issue: we had our own key and could lock it/use it as needed. The breakfast on the terrace was lovely too, and the staff even provided us with some food to take with us on our early ferry ride to Santo Antao!

- Floor (10/5): Beautiful house with amazing view - Nilsa and her team are very friendly and will give you a warm welcome. The house is absolutely beautiful and it has a really nice view of the harbor. The beds are really good and we enjoyed the breakfast.

- Florence (8/5): Very good - Nilsa is a star! She was going out of her way to make sure I enjoy my stay in Mindelo, providing details and contacts even before my arrival. The rooms are nicely decorated. A/C or mosquito nets would have been nice. The room was very small and so was the bathroom - unfortunately I had over-read the fact that the bathroom was located outside of the room which was a bit inconvenient and was not that clean.
- Eric (8/5): - Een goed hotel op ongeveer 15 minuten lopen van het stadsstrand. Er zijn genoeg winkel en bakkers in de buurt. De bedden zijn echt top en de kamers zijn goed schoon. De wifi werkt ook perfect. Het ontbijt was ook prima. Een prima verblijfplek voor een aantal dagen in Mindelo.
