• Jane (10/5): Superb stay in Snop House Senglea - This beautiful traditional town house full of interesting art work in one of the history three cities was a fantastic place to stay to explore Malta. Petrie and Sean are experts in the art of hospitality. They were so welcoming and provided us with fantastic breakfasts which included a different Maltese baked item each day. They also gave us good local travel advice and organised a taxi to pick us up from the airport. We also loved the roof top seating area with an honesty bar and the close proximity of Snop House to the Valletta ferry and excellent waterside restaurants.

O terasa deasupra cladirii pentru cafea sau priveliște. Micul dejun, nu foarte variat dar suficient si toate produsele de calitate ( acest gen de servire ajuta la diminuarea risipei alimentare) Statia de autobuz pentru Valletta este la 50 de metri ( nr 1 ) sau si mai ușor de ajuns in capitală este ferry ( aprox 700 m ).

• Gillian (10/5): Fantastic. Boutique b&b that deserves 11 out of 10! - Staff are fantastic- nothing was too much bother. The breakfast was delicious. Rooms are spotless and lovely. Little touches like the slippers and bathrobes are appreciated. The only tricky part is getting on the main front door. There is little room between the main door and glass vestibule which some find difficult to manoeuvre.

The room, staff and breakfast were excellent! - The location is perfect, right in the heart of the three cities and just a short walk from the Valletta ferry. Our room was lovely, including our own private terrace, not to mention the shared rooftop terrace with great views over the harbour. We would definitely recommend.

The art work throughout is lovely including some commissioned pieces. Bed was so comfortable and room was so quiet that I slept like a log. Good location for ferry to Valetta and bus stop just across the road. Restaurants within easy walking distance. Loved the honesty bar and the outside terrace. As much as I like herbal tea I missed not having normal breakfast tea in the room with maybe some milk in the fridge. I8

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, especially Shawn who prepared breakfast for us every morning and gave us very useful advice on local attractions and restaurants. The breakfasts were excellent with good quality locally sourced ingredients and a different local speciality to try every day. The roof top terrace, with honesty bar had stunning views accross the harbour and over to Valletta. We will definately be returning to The Snop House. Nothing.
• Paweł (9/5): Pobyt pamiętamy jako miejsce, gdzie czuliśmy się bardzo dobrze i chętnie do niego wrócimy. - Ogromną zaletą tego miejsca jest lokalizacja. Położony w regionie Trzech Miast stanowi doskonały punkt startowy do zwiedzania najbliższej okolicy jak i Valletty, do której można dostać się promem odpływającym co 30 min. Sam odcinek to 10-15 min z przepiękną panoramą stolicy i Trzech Miast. Jednego dnia zdarzyło się, że prom nie działał ze względu na wysokie fale, wówczas można się dostać do stolicy autobusem (ok 30 min). Co można poprawić? Będąc tam przez 6 dni śniadania mogłyby być bardziej urozmaicone. Owszem, codziennie była jedna, regionalna, zmieniająca się drobna potrawa (fajne), ale nie rozumiem, dlaczego jajka były tylko gotowane bez opcji smażonych, sadzonych itp. Dodanie jakiś past czy innych drobnych produktów (pomidorów?), pewnie nie byłoby dużym problemem, a urozmaiciłoby menu śniadaniowe dla osób, które spędzają tam więcej dni. Z rzeczy do poprawienia to wszystko w tym skądinąd wspaniałym miejscu, urządzonym przez ludzi lubiących sztukę, co widoczne było na każdym kroku i z czym dobrze się czuliśmy.

• Andrew (10/5): Tasteful, comfortable and very welcoming in an excellent location. - We chose the Snop House for our stay in Malta over Christmas, partly based on reviews and party on location. It did not disappoint on any level. The room was large and comfortable and at the front of the house overlooking the main street. The location was perfect for exploring the three cities and for access to the ferry to Valletta (about 7-10 minutes walk). The staff, especially Sean(?), were wonderful and we had many excellent conversations with them over breakfast, which was always delicious and varied, with special items every day. Nothing was too much trouble. The terrace on the roof was a wonderful facility with a well stocked honesty bar and wonderful views over the cityscape, especially glorious at Christmas. Location for transport was excellent with the bus stop about 20m from the door, so easy access to the airport. A wonderfully renovated and decorated house with many splendid and quirky works of art. The facility was immaculate and the room we had was comfortable and peaceful. We loved the elevator, having come from a vacation rental with 55 stairs that needed to be climbed. Excellent restaurants were within walking distance. The staff, in particular Aaliyah, were kind and accommodating, as my wife and I were a bit “under the weather” during our stay. We have nothing negative to say about The Snop House.

Wir durften auch die Besitzer kennenlernen, sie sich ebenfalls freundlich um uns bemüht haben. Das servierte Frühstück war sehr gut, die Honesty Bar bei der Dachterrasse ebenfalls ein Highlight. Einen Parkplatz haben wir immer problemlos gefunden, es war allerdings Nachsaison. Senglea ist ein guter Startpunkt für die Besichtigung der ganzen Insel.

La stanza che abbiamo scelto era rivolta verso la piccola corte ed era molto silenziosa. Piccola anche la stanza ma dotata di tutti i comfort. La colazione, ottima e abbondante, viene servita nel cortile pieno di bellissime opere, come del resto in tutto l'hotel. Lo consigliamo assolutamente anche perché si trova nella cittadina di Senglea, molto tranquilla ma ben servita dai mezzi pubblici per raggiungere La Valletta. Non c'è nessuna cosa che non ci sia piaciuta

Firstly the General Manager and the staff were welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. The property itself, and the rooms, are beautiful and immaculately clean and maintained - with beautiful art everywhere. In a busy city, the area was a quiet oasis yet near restaurants, lovely walks and easy transportation (bus stops outside the door). With non-stop flights soon to start from New York City - we plan to visit more often and will Happyily stay at The Snop House.

• Sandi Mc (10/5): Perfect four star hideaway. 🌟 - The room was big and simple but beautifully decorated with original artwork throughout the whole hotel. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was gorgeous and super clean. The air conditioning was easy to control and cooled the bedroom perfectly. With a separate balcony room and corridor to the hallway, the room was very quiet from any outside noise. The blinds were not, unfortunately, completely blackout, so I was glad I'd brought an eye mask with me. The lift was super helpful if you had mobility issues. Breakfast was continental and served to the table in a lovely, quiet little dining room. Every day, there was an extra 'special' local delicacy on offer. The hotel is in a quiet area with a few good returants five mins walk away down a lot of steps. Across the road, the number one bus takes you straight to Valletta if you dont want to walk ten mins to the ferry. I'd happily stay again! Nothing at all!

They personally served breakfast each morning, which was absolutely perfect and very delicious. The property itself is in a fantastic location in Senglea – just a short hop to Valletta, but even better because it’s outside the crowds, so you can enjoy the authentic local vibe. The house was full of thoughtful touches, even providing beach towels, which made things so much easier. Everything was simply perfect and exceeded our expectations. The inside, including the rooms are beautiful, modern and quirky. The rooms are spacious and we had a balcony which was perfect. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of Malta and only a ten minute walk away from the Valletta Ferry. I would recommend this to anyone!

• Christina (10/5): - Das Frühstück war lecker u.a. mit lokalen und selbstgemachten Produkten und es wurde am Tisch serviert. Es gab jeden Tag ein "Special of the Day". Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Kommunikation hat einwandfrei geklappt. Von der Dachterrasse hat man einen tollen Blick und das Stadtviertel hat uns besonders gut gefallen, weil es nicht so touristisch war. Es gibt einen Aufzug im Haus und wenn man Abends Essen gehen möchte sind vor allem am nahgelegenen Hafen viele tolle Restaurants zu finden und man sitzt dort ganz wunderbar (es sind einige Treppenstufen bis zum Hafen zu meistern). Während wir dort waren, war es herrlich ruhig in der Unterkunft. Die Bus-Linie 1 nach Valetta fährt direkt vor der Haustüre und auch das Boot nach Valetta ist fußläufig erreichbar. Zu uns hat die Unterkunft prima gepasst.

Friendly and accomodating staff such as Shawn (Very friendly). On our last day we met the owners of The Snop House very friendly couple also who were very eager to give some tips or tell stories about Malta. We would certainly go back and recommend this place to friends and family. Breakfast was served at your table. Breakfast was much but it was everyday the same thing. But it didnt spoil our stay coz the place was clean and quiet.

Shawn, who looked after our booking and greeted us when we arrived, was so friendly and attentive—he made sure everything went smoothly from the start. Breakfast each morning was such a treat, with fresh croissants, jams, yogurt, and a few Maltese specialties like Pastizzi, gbejna and helwa tat-Tork. It was a really nice way to start the day. Our room was super comfortable, and we loved having a mini fridge, coffee and tea setup, plus our own robe and slippers—it felt like a little extra bit of luxury. We also really enjoyed ending our days up on the rooftop bar area. There were drinks available, and it was such a relaxing spot to hang out in the evenings. The location is great too—easy to get to Valletta and explore the Three Cities. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we’d definitely recommend it

• CaroMuiruri (10/5): Wonderful first time in Malta - The hotel is very clean and quiet, beds very comfortable. Sleep at night came easy. It is near a busstop. And a few minutes walk to the harbour if you want to take the boat taxis. You’re greeted by your name and a wonderful smell of fresh bread when you come down the stairs for breakfast. There was a new Maltese specialty for us to try each day. You’re given tips about where to go or what to do and how to get there. The water in the rooms is refilled daily. There was a familiarity and friendliness between everyone, the hosts and the guests. I have never experienced this kind of hospitality elsewhere, definitely coming back!

Tasty locally sourced food for breakfast, attentive staff and spotless rooms. A great base for walking, dining, sightseeing and relaxing. Thank you and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return.
• shunt402 (10/5): Wonderful boutique hotel - This boutique hotel is wonderful. The position, the staff and the hotel itself are perfect. We stayed for 6 nights. The room was lovely clean and comfortable everything had been thought of. A bus stop across the road and a few minutes from lovely restaurants and bars with lovely views. We can recommend this hotel if you want comfort luxury and out of the busyness of Valletta but with access to it by a quick ferry ride.
• annepeck16 (10/5): Paradise in Malta - Excellent location with a 5min walk to harbour side and to catch ferry to Valletta…..we bought a bus pass which was well worth it and just hopped on and travelled from there. The hotel was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were incredible and filled you up for the day. The staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble for them……and gave us ideas on where to go. Keep doing what you are doing as you can’t go wrong.
• Wander05659489673 (10/5): Exceptional B&B - We have just spent a week at the Snop House and have nothing but praise for the accommodation and staff who made the stay a real pleasure. The owners of the House have clearly not stinted in the refurbishment they have made to the property which has transformed the interior of a traditional Maltese house into a luxurious place to stay without losing the original feel. A feature of the House is the extensive range of interesting paintings and sculptures. The absence of a television in the room was initially surprising but actually if anything it enhanced the holiday and meant instead unwinding with a book and a glass of wine on the rooftop terrace or taking advantage of the nearby bars and restaurants surrounding the harbour. Others have mentioned the ease of access to Valetta via the ferry, whilst the bus service on the island is cheap. It's worth flagging that the most direct route to the harbour and ferry is via a flight of 98 steps but if mobility is an issue then the bus stop is almost adjacent to Snop House. Shawn and Elia could not have been more welcoming and helpful. That sense of welcome was reflected in everyone we met from the island and - together with its fascinating history - made for a great holiday.

• Cassidy (10/5): - What a stay! We ended our Malta journey with our last two nights at The Snoop House and how lucky were we. From the artwork on the walls (fantastic sculpture pieces as well) to the rooftop views of the cities, including Valletta), to the homemade breakfast (with jame made by the owner), we were spoiled. Loves the comfort of the bed, the spa feel of the shower, and the private patio (and we were in one of the small rooms). The staff is incredibly sweet, hardworking, and welcoming. The Snoop is a short walk to the water ferry, the best food (Enchante’), and a small convenience store right next door. Loved our stay. Thank you to The Snop House staff for such a wonderful memory.
• Falconie47 (8/5): Top of the Snops! - The Snop House is located in the heart of Senglea and is an old traditional Maltese House however inside has been transformed into a modern tasteful boutique hotel, our room was named the Mayonne and was situated on the 3rd floor accessible via stairs or a lift, the room had a double bed with a bathroom and shower room, we were slightly disappointed as we didn’t have any space outside of our room to sit and relax, we did notice the other two rooms below us had outside access with tables and chairs that being said we did have access to the roof top which was a floor above us and had commanding views across to Valletta and Birgu, we took advantage of this in the mornings when taking a morning coffee or pre drinks from the honesty bar which was well stocked with the finest local beers and wines. The continental breakfast was delightful with little specials every morning served up by the wonderful hotel staff who tirelessly work to make your stay as comfortable and hassle free as possible, I was fortunate enough to meet the owner Mr Snop who I found extremely charming which was reflected in the hotels decor and ambience. Senglea itself has a handful of good restaurants along the waterfront and there are numerous water taxis that will take you to Valletta where the restaurants and bars are numerous. We had the best stay at The Snop and on our return we would not hesitate to book again but with an outside space next time.

• Lynette (10/5): I highly recommend the Snop House to anyone travelling to Malta. - What a gem this place is! The property is welcoming and comfortable with a lot of elegant charm. The setting in the quieter part of town is perfect and close to restaurants and activities. The staff were helpful especially the young lady organising our breakfast each morning. She could double as a tour guide!

Lots of easy transport options and lovely historic places to visit. The rooftop area was excellent to view the cities and watch the fireworks. Highly recommend - we hope to be back soon.

It was a good decision to stay in Senglea since it is quieter, and there are great walkable dining options. They called a local restaurant for us to be sure they had a specific dish available! Lovely roof terrace too.

I really enjoyed my stay. It is a bit tricky to adjust the temperature of the shower. (But it is not only this place, all most all place in Malta, compared to Japan…)

• Charles (10/5): Wedding trip in Malta - Staff was very helpful, booked an extra night for me when I was hungover from the wedding. They had suggestions for local restaurants and attractions as well as advice on what to do in Valetta if you are interested. They will give you towels for beach days if you request such. There is a rooftop kitchen/bar with beer, wine, and soft drinks as well as an espresso machine that takes provided cups. You simply mark what you take and they will settle it when you check out. Many of the rooms have a terrace with a screen door to allow fresh air to circulate in the room. The hotel itself is located a few minutes by foot from a shopping square and restaurants, maybe 10-15 minutes from the Valetta ferry.
• 257carolej (10/5): Gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of Senglea - We knew this gorgeous boutique hotel when living in Senglea. It was fabulous to stay for the Middlesea race last weekend. We had a smaller room at the back with a little balcony and it was perfect. Tasty breakfast in the morning. If you want to experience non-touristy local Malta this is the perfect location. Lots of restaurants nearby and it is an easy ferry crossing to Valletta every 30 minutes.

Elevator and rooftop with a gorgeous view on La Valette and most churches Lovely breakfast with fresh croissants! 15mns ride with the ferry to La Valette close by. Can’t wait to come back!
• Dominique (10/5): - Had a lovely 10 night stay at Snop house. Welcoming staff and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Sean and the team made for a very enjoyable stay. Breakfast was nice with many local treats throughout our stay. The pea pastry was flavourful and delightfully light. The prickly pear jam and local Gozo honey were our favourites with the warm croissants. Our 2nd time staying in Malta and Snop House, giving us a reason to visit for a 3rd time.
