• Masood (10/5): - A wonderful stay from start to finish! The host was incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome right away. The place itself was lovely, nice, cosy, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils you could ask for, fresh towels were provided, and the bed was comfortable and well-made. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. Hope to come back soon!

• Stephen (7/5): Been a few times because of location. - Location of property is brilliant. Good for walkers and cyclists also motorcyclists too. Property looking a bit tired now. Could do with being refreshed.

Being able to take the dogs was a bonus.lots of great, dog friendly walks locally Having two small dogs, the fence with its large gaps, wouldn't be dog proof. We got round this by walking the dogs on the lead in the garden

• VIOLET (6/5): A quiet peaceful holiday. - The situation of the apartment in relation to the surrounding amenities. The peace. Cleanliness issues eg dust on bedside cabinets, cobwebs, unclean handles on bath. The tiny freezer in the fridge had no door and it dripped onto the floor. Outdoor area at the back needs a tidy up.uiet
• Louise (10/5): Great spot. - We had a lovely family holiday in the wee cottage. It was in a stunning location. Perfectly clean and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Our children enjoyed playing in the little enclosed garden. It was great to be able to walk into the town (lovely walk alongside fields, railway and river). It only took us 15 mins walking and that's with young children. We would love to stay again.

• Colin (6/5): Fairly basic accommodation which needs a refurb in some areas - ok for the money - Heating in bungalow was antiquated/ difficult to control / whilst advertised as capable of sleeping 5 - the bedrooms were small and it was a good job we brought our own camp bed for our 5 year old grandson with bedding as it would have been uncomfortable on the bed settee and not much bed linen provided other than thin duvets .no real instructions in terms of boosting the immersion or where the controls were .

It was clean, cosy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. 10 min walk into aviemore and 12 min drive to landmark adventure forest. The host communicted well, confirmed our booking with a personal text messge and contacted us on the day of arrival to ensure everything went smoothly. Excellent accommodation.

The house is in a quiet spot but a handy 10 minute walk from town. Linda was friendly and very helpful too! Double bed upstairs was a little uncomfortable and would benefit from a newer mattress.

• Gillian (9/5): Comfortable one storey house with garden and parking just outside Aviemore - Property was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a garden with chairs and table, parking and a bath. There was a pretty path which you could take to walk to Aviemore (15 to 20 mins). The owner, Linda popped round just after we arrived to see if everything was ok which was appreciated and responded straight away to texts. Apart from the cutlery drawer which kept getting stuck, everything was really good!

Sofa in the lounge was filthy The advertisement on booking.com advertised another property and only after I paid was I informed that this wasn’t the property we were booked into. For the price we paid for the length of stay I would have expected a higher, more updated decor - it was extremely tired and in need of updating.

• Sebastian (10/5): Exelent !!! - The Aviemore is a beautiful place with outstanding mountains and endless walks. We visited that place during the winter season and the kids had a lot to do playing in the snow! They are definitely must-see places if you love Scotland. The property we rented was cosy and fully equipped, we couldn't ask for more. I wish we had more time to explore this place deeper, but we will be back for more!

• Claire (8/5): Great place to explore The Cairngorms National Park and Speyside. - The bungalow was very spacious and well equipped. We loved having a porch to be able to take off muddy boots and hang coats. Location wise it was very easy to get into Aviemore by foot and everything that offered and also out to surrounding areas. Perfectly placed for exploring. In drier or warmer weather the garden would be pleasant to sit in I’m sure. We knew the property was pretty old fashioned and it was but that aside it had everything we needed. My only real negative was how hard and uncomfortable the bed was unfortunately. I would definitely have had a better week, a more restful week, if I could have slept properly.

Really good value in what can be a quite expensive resort. Linda is a great friendly host so all communication was exemplary. n/a. The decor and fixtures are no doubt not all the 'latest style' (whatever that is this year!) but everything worked and I found the ambience of the house very restful, so all was fine for me.

Everything was perfect for our big family (2 adults, 4 kids). Perfect for dad to work, prepare meals, kids to play around and family to have quality time The house Beds were comfortable, living room was amazingly comfortable, fully equipped kitchen to cook, and the area around the house was breathtaking. The owners Lynda was amazing, she was so friendly and welcoming. She made us feel so comfortable. Will definitely be coming back again next year! • Shirlee (9/5): Fantastic Self Catering Pet Friendly Accommodation - the property was immaculately clean and was in keeping with a highland style of accommodation. It was animal friendly and great that we could take pets without extra charge or an inquisition as to what kind of dogs we had. Everything was in perfect working order and the hostess was incredibly friendly. Thank you. The mattress was a little hard and the pillows a wee bit flat, but that is purely personal preference.
