- Richard (10/5): Would definitely rent again - Easy to find close to our location for the event we attended unit super super clean one of the cleanest lodging rentals I have ever stayed in. Pillows and bed were kind of hard and need motion sensor lights over the doors so you can easily use the electronic lock to door. Pave the parking lot to limit dirt being tracked in and Kleenex in the room.

- Todd (6/5): Overall, the location was good for our purposes, and our stay was pleasant and mostly comfortable, despite the limited “ - Good location and “home base” for color tour driving through the mountains. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was basic, but comfortable for the most part. Nice little onsite store with various snacks, toiletries and other necessities. The building and room were serviceable, but pretty basic and in so-so condition. Nothing to be concerned about, but certainly not in like-new shape. Our room had a small table and two wooden chairs, but no more comfortable lounge chair in which to sit and read. Also, I tried to use a treadmill in the small and sparse workout room, but no-go. One would not turn on at all; the other did work, but the running belt would “catch” when my foot landed and make me almost fall. So much for that 30-second workout.

- Ami (10/5): - This is such a cute motel! Our room was big and clean and clearly recently remodeled. It felt more like a bedroom in someone’s home than a motel room. Mandy was very helpful when we needed it. It’s an easy walk to downtown. We would go back in a heartbeat!

- Eric (5/5): Newly rehabbed motel, but dusty. - The facility is a classic motel that has been nicely fixed up. The bed is comfortable and decoration attractive. Unfortunately there was significant dust or other allergen in the room making it difficult for us to breathe due to asthma. We abandoned the room after one day instead the two days scheduled. This problem would probably not affect the general population who do not suffer from allergies or asthma.

- David (8/5): - Besides Hotels screwing up my re reservation and booking me a 1 bed room when I had booked a 2 bed accommodation. Luckily where we were staying had an extra room that my friend could stay in. They are very cool and took care of us, which was greatly appreciated.

St - The only thing about the property that was good was the locating. NOTHING else was good. Dirty and stained sheets and pillow cases. Dirty and sticky walls. Coffee pot not cleaned after last people who stayed. Bed sheets too big for the size bed. Host not friendly at all.
- Dawn (8/5): Great for sleeping - The property had been renovated. It was clean. The room had a coffee maker and frig. Bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water. Bed was comfy. The room had a table with stools. The curtains over the AC were sheer and there were no curtains over the entrance door windows. Anyone could look in. My room was next to a shed and there was a ton of junk stacked up so when you drive in thats the first thing you see.

- Emilie (8/5): Summer stop - The room was cute, served its purpose. But with laminate floors, we tracked a lot of dirt in and around the room. A rug at the door would have been helpful. Also, there were some areas that could have used a little more cleaning attention (cobwebs near the base of the bed frame). Never saw any staff. There was a sign with a number to call, but it would have been nice to have a real human in the office during the day for quick questions.

There needed to be more outlets, especially near a mirror, there were no outlets in the bathroom, which was difficult. We were there for a wedding And there needed to be more hooks/places to hang clothes up. The property was a little unkept. The staff was friendly and helpful though would consider going back.

- Jessica (6/5): Cried into my craft beer after checking in - Pylled in, and immediately realized I'd made a mistake. The property is not like the cheerful photos at all. Musty, very small room, too many disappointments to list, but it was clean enough to keep me from leaving. Would not return.

- Mary (8/5): Very good - We were able to stay for just one night between camping at Indiana Dunes and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Location was great for a run at the beach and at the marina and on the path along the water. It was clean, despite being older, and there was a small fridge. The check-in wasn't great, but was no problem once I called the number on the door. I didn't need or want to hear the ex-girlfriend drama of the gentleman who works there.

Very close to downtown, beach & park. Shower was either scalding hot with decent pressure or you had to shower under a trickle of water.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Some Pros and Cons - Pros: Room was very clean and the mattress was comfortable. Looked freshly remodeled. Cons: bathroom layout and room furnishings were not well thought out for resident’s comfort. You cannot stand at the sink without your calves touching the toilet bowl. No vanity. Large people would not fit this room. No place to hang coats or clothing. Hard surface floor with no door mat and gravel drive made for gritty feet. Very poor overhead lighting. And, I’m not comfortable with a window in a motel door with no curtain .

Also killed several small spiders in bathroom.

They were able to confirm our reservation and checked us in over the phone, which allowed us to continue our sightseeing and not have to worry about it. The bathroom was small but the water was hot. One downside is that since it's on a main road there was lots of traffic noise in the morning.
- Christine (10/5): - Very simple, no flair, exactly what was need for the couple of nights away. Very clean. Don't expect a large bathroom, bedroom area because it's a definite 60's/70's motel that's been kept up very nicely! Downtown area is quite a few blocks but a very nice walk!
- Mariann (8/5): If you want a slice of American stay at this motel. - I was looking forward to staying staying at an independent little motel. And the place was charming as could be. They were trying a new way of automatic check-in and it worked out. OK, I just had to call the phone number on the door. They were very proud of the remodeling the room that I was staying in. And they did ask me my advice on the TV which I thought was very thoughtful. I was a little surprised that they did the remodeling and left an old refrigerator in the room. I thought that would’ve been a nicer as well. The size was fine but old. The towels were very nice and clean. The sheets were very clean and crisp. They were very few amenities in the bathroom, which was fine. I had to go by a hairdryer. There was soap and shampoo and it was on a very cute little wicker stand, but it’s always nice to be surprised with a little bit of hand lotion. I don’t think they did a good job of branding their hotel, which is unfortunate because it really is a slice of Americana and they could’ve taken full advantage of that. The town of Frankfurt is Dan. I would highly recommend going and I would recommend staying here. I liked the motel where my car was parked right in front of my room. They had nice seating private seating on each balcony, which was super fun Within walking distance to see the sunsets. I am a little bit particular, having worked in the hotel industry so please take this as a positive review.

- Garry (10/5): Fall color trip - Small, quaint place to stay, perfect for our color tour trip. Friendly staff, room was checked each day. Bathroom was a little on the small side (I’m 6’3” tall) but it worked. Could use a little cleaning under bed (dusty). Would stay here again.
- G-j (6/5): Clean and comfortable, a tad overpriced. - I wanted to like this place more than I did--it does have charm and I prefer older motels. Clever idea matching the room doors to the old fashioned metal chairs outside. There was a fridge and micro (didn't use). The owner was nice. The beds were comfortable, the room clean, and the coffee in the room was good. Well, there's nothing that would stop me from staying here again except the price was a bit high. While we didn't need either, the AC was not working and the heater in the bathroom was out of order. We never could figure out the TV--and my guy is a computer geek!

- Ang2234 (4/5): Disappointing - It was within six blocks to be in the shopping and water. They made it sound like it was right outside the motel. The place was not like described on the website. It's old, windows and doors have gaps, and they smell very strong of musty mold. Black hair in the shower, carpet you trip over due to it being wet in past. The water is quite aways at least 6 blocks from hotel. The hotel is on the busy road into town.

- Don (8/5): Very good - Hotel was dated. However, staff very friendly. Room was exceptionally clean! Beds were old but very comfortable. Within walking distance of the water and shopping . Would definitely stay there again. No hair dryer. Windows air conditioner was noisy.
- Rebecca (8/5): - The room was exceptionally clean except for spider webs & spiders in some corners. The beds & pillows were very comfortable. An older quaint hotel close to Main Street where there were stores & restaurants in walking distance.

- John (10/5): Wonderful break from reality. Beautiful scenery - The staff was very helpful. The location was close to our ironman race, restaurants, and other amenities. Also, the wiki worked well for us. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. The only thing that I would improve is that parking. It was a little tight, but manageable. Outside of that, I wouldn't change anything.
- Carol (9/5): cute lodge, centrally located - cute little motor lodge redone. nice beds, central location, walkable to downtown and shore. there was not a chain lock for door. Made me a bit worried, buts thats a city girl in the country.
- Margarita (3/5): Skip it and stay elsewhere. - Location is what we needed for visiting family. Absolutely filthy. Requested a freshen up halfway through our stay, staff left cleaning supplies in our room, did not clean bathroom and towels were left on our bed.

- Jane (9/5): Superb - Cute and clean. Good use of the space. Liked the bigger than usual frig and the table and chairs, and the chairs and table in near the unit door. Also the vintage vibe. Convenient location. No out let in the bathroom was a bit inconvenient. The door was a little difficult to get into place to lock, but figured it out. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

- Allison (6/5): - This property has potential but there needs to be some renovation of the property. The screen on the door had holes in it and was loose around the edges; the screen door also had a huge gap at the bottom sufficient to allow critters in so we were reluctant to keep it open. The towels were excellent and hot water plentiful. A shelf or someplace to put things in the bath would be welcome.
- Carl (9/5): Superb - It was nice to have chairs and a picnic table right outside our room. The rocking chairs in the room were not comfortable.
