• Robert (9/5): Tru By Hilton Lafayette River Ranch provides a nice place to stay at a reasonable price. - The breakfast was good. I liked the bacon, sausage, and the scrambled eggs. There was some variation in what was served each day. I'm glad that this hotel always had a pot of coffee available for its guests. I think that the Wi-Fi wasn't always strong.
• Kayla (5/5): Im not please with my stay there. Would not go back - The food was not good. Pancake machine was broken. It was not good. Clean the room while we was there for 2 days. The house keeper did not ask if we needed anything. I had go get toliet paper and bags from house keeper

• Jayla (4/5): It’s not a work or business place, more for social people. - The staff that check me in and out was amazing The first room I was in toilet wasn’t working, the floors in that room and the room I was changed to where so dirty around the base of the bed. The bed frame needs to be changed it’s so much food and god knows what caked up in the cracks of the bed. Also there is just a mattress on a wood frame so not too much support on your back. The doors are so loud when you open and close them the person in the room next to kept me up all night opening and closing there door I kept thinking somebody was opening my door. I just was a little disappointed. I can say the staff that checked me in and out was amazing they where friendly and showed great hospitality.

• debras756 (8/5): Could use better cleaning - This is a bare-bones hotel, which, for the price, was to be expected. The positives are that the staff---including front desk and cleaning crew---are all very nice. There's always hot coffee in the lobby, and the free breakfast is pretty decent. Also I appeciate that the flooring in the rooms is vinyl as opposed to carpet, so no dinginess or stains or holes. It just makes the room feeling cleaner. That being said, things could be cleaner. The upholstered chair in my room was full of stains and the corners of the shower had some kind of black substance. The hallways had some litter that was there in the morning when I left the hotel and was still there in the evening when I returned.

• Ronald (5/5): Won’t stay there again. - Location was great Feels like a dorm room. Very close quarters. No closet just a bar to hang clothes. The door was off the hinge at top and very heavy to handle. Changed rooms. They actually rented it out to someone else and had not repaired it!!!

• Tabatha (5/5): - The common areas were fantastic. Loved the complementary beverages 24/7 We could not get into our room due to key issues. With 2 young kids having to go back and forth downstairs to try to get keys fixed was very inconvenient. They were busy and short staffed so it took a while for them to come up and let us in. We never had keys due to them having to use their master key. Very inconvenient due to someone always having to stay in the room so we could get back in. Maintenance was called but never showed during our stay.

• Jeanne (7/5): We really enjoyed our stay for my daughter's birthday. - This was a stay-cation to celebrate my daughter's birthday with several of her friends. They enjoyed the pool table, game area, and outdoor space. The hotel is more family-friendly than any other I've stayed at, and I am so happy I chose it for my daughter's birthday. The pool was a little cloudy, but the seating area and outdoor space are lovely. The staff were absolutely fabulous! We had one hiccup, but the front desk staff, I wish I could remember their names, were fantastic! I requested 2 rooms, connecting, and although the hotel was able to accommodate the second room, it was not ready. I had to ask the front desk to clean the room, and by then the housekeeping staff had left for the day. The front desk asked me if I wanted to change rooms, but I had already decorated one room for my daughter's birthday, so they found someone to clean the room.

Not my style, but lots of others will love, I tend to lean toward the more cozy.and calm properties.

We actually didn't even stay in the room the second night due to being so uncomfortable. Booked at Fairfield Marriot down the road. Staff was friendly but would not recommend this hotel if you're expecting a good rest.

• Anita (7/5): Cool lobby but not much else. - Staff was super nice. The lobby was fun and clean. The gym was very nicely equipped, clean and easy to use. The room lacked some cleaning. The hair dryer was covered in old hair and some kind of slimy residue and the floor needed mopping. There were only 3 pillows per bed and the AC was set to 76 when we got there so it was very warm. The lamp was broken. The mattress was so uncomfortable and my back hurt from it and I couldn't sleep well. The pool patio had a ton of loose bricks that were a hazard and the pool was filled with sand. The staff smoking area was right next to the pool so the outside smelled like cigarettes and natural gas for some reason. The breakfast kept running out of food and coffee so we did a lot of waiting and what was advertised wasn't what was served.
• Ashley (4/5): - The location was great and so many amazing food choices, but thats as far as i would go on compliments. The place wasnt very clean as far as the rooms and pool. The pool had sand in it from, what the pool guy said, a few weeks ago, and somehow it wasn't removed. The "room service", was literally making beds and replacing towels. No new sheets and the bathrooms werent cleaned even though we were there for 6 days. We were staying with multiple friends on the same hall and they all felt the same as us. One friend even went as far as getting her own cleaning supplies from walmart to clean their room after finding a booger on the wall. Most likely our first and last stay at Tru.
