Guest Reviews
- Schenkster (10/5): People make the difference in this world - Hotel is fine and great location.
The parking valet, Perun, was exceptional.
This is a semi annual stopover from Fl to Mi My back went out before the trip. We bring a dolly full of stuff to the room. He saw me limping, ran to get the dolly and loaded it for me. So polite and w/o me asking. At 7 am next day the car was waiting and he loaded it up for me. He is a college bound HS senior.
- Jonathan (8/5): Great location. Quiet and modern - Convienent location Creepy food service guy.
- jameszI8920OB (10/5): Get away - Perun was great! Room and Valet service was very nice
- Matthew (1/5): -
- austinsD3229UL (10/5): Valet is wonderful - Peron with the valet service was great
- Explore15039515142 (10/5): Super hotel, do not eat breakfast - Super hotel, valet parking and downtown Greenville. Do not spend time on the breakfast though... The only negative thing. Superhelpful staff!
- annettedZ8724QO (10/5): My Downtown Experience - Great stay. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and courteous. Room was a nice view of the city and just minutes away from the event I was attending. It was quiet and comfortable.
- daisyh544 (10/5): Great experience - Great location, friendly staff and quite large room. We’ll definitely be back. Christina and Krystal at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Thanks
- Amad (10/5): -
- Kierra (10/5): - Very convenient and comfortable Did they have a pool? We didn't see it
- Anita (10/5): -
- LFalta (9/5): Relaxing - Great location, we liked having a couch and it was convenient having breakfast available downstairs Bed was really soft
- 90nickib (8/5): Quiet Stay, Safe Location - Nice location, parking is $28 per day. I wouldn't pay the listed cash price Of $460 to stay. I used travel points with Hyatt. Nice hotel but more the Holiday Inn Express level of hotel. It seemed a lot nicer/fancier in the pictures. Hotel is slightly dated but clean. Lobby is nice, had a random hook and loop lock at the top of bathroom door as the "broken lock repair." Was a quiet stay with great location with many restaurants and beautiful areas to walk. Felt safe walking as a small group of women
- Deborah (10/5): - Location was perfect Need microwave in rooms
- C. Michael Pilato (9/5): -
- Tina (10/5): I've been staying there for my annual girls trip for three years and I have never had a problem. - The few little adjustments I needed in regard to adjoining rooms were made with a smile and a helpful attitude! After breakfast hours, I asked to use the toaster and it was more trouble to get than I realized it would be. The front desk girl was kind and assured me it was no problem. The lighting could be better but I really have no complaints.
- Marianne (10/5): - Beautiful property located close to the Peace performing arts center and many restaurants.
- Katherine (10/5): Clean rooms, breakfast had a variety of choices, staff friendly. - Location good to walk downtown.
- Jill (6/5): Ok but not over the top - Clean, decent breakfast, nice staff WHAT ON EARTH IS UP WITH THE EXCEPTIONALLY LOW CHAIRS IN THE LOBBY. SO RIDICULOUSLY UNCOMFORTABLE to eat breakfast! Not one person both days we were there didn't complain about it. Also breaking breakfast down early wasn't nice either. It didn't impact us but the folks that came down @ 8:55 weren't thrilled- when u charge that much for the room why not leave it up for a min. Parking is expensive too!

Very nice room
Staff friendliness Room 601. Bed next to the bathroom sags into the middle.
- Ann (10/5): All staff encountered were wonderful and hotel quiet and very comfortable, could walk everywhere - Location was great. Did not eat at the hotel except for the $4 cookie, which seemed a little outrageous Bar price for a glass of wine also outrageous

- 828ralphn (10/5): Great hotel - This hotel is an excellent choice for our visits to Greenville, South Carolina. It’s conveniently located just a short walk from the Peace Center, where we can enjoy great restaurants and beautiful parks, including a stunning waterfall. The friendly customer service adds to the overall experience, making it our preferred hotel whenever we’re in the area.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- 19clarencem (8/5): Great location and service - Lovely place. Great location. Average breakfast.
We received excellent service from the front desk people. Especially Nyariya and Audrey. Thank you!
- michellecL2346BF (10/5): Jewel in the Heart of Downtown - This property is conveniently located downtown within walking distance to great restaurants and Falls Park. The check in process, including valet, was seamless and our room was ready early. We had no issue with valet, car was there when we needed it and staff was friendly. Room was clean, quiet and everything worked as required. Will definitely be our "go to" as we will be back!!
- Evagelia Julie (10/5): Free breakfast loved it all - Perfect location next to Group Therapy adult mini golf and bar All good
- George (1/5): - We had to plunge the toilet ourselves, look for our own towels and services for all four days, and didn't get the breakfast we paid for because staff told us all the wrong times.
- Devanshi (8/5): -
- shivam704 (10/5): Impressive Cleanliness and Daily Housekeeping Service - I recently stayed at this hotel for business purposes and had a great overall experience. The property was well-maintained, and the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent.
I would especially like to highlight the housekeeping team, who did an outstanding job. The room was consistently clean, well-organized, and very comfortable. Housekeeping service and room cleaning were provided daily, which is not very common nowadays and was greatly appreciated.
Overall, it was a pleasant and reliable stay, and I would gladly return for future business trips.
- Melany (10/5): Hotel was nice and clean. The room was spacious, clean and smelled fresh. Location was perfect! - Very clean! Breakfast was not complementary and you had to do valet parking at the hotel for $25 plus tip the guys. Just seemed like a lot
- jilllX302HP (2/5): Expensive and Uncomfortable - The breakfast area is the most uncomfortable places I've ever sat. Almost all the chairs are super low. If u have bad knees, hips or back or if you're over 3'6" skip breakfast. The decorator must've gotten a deal but should be made to sit there for breakfast as punishment for terrible choices.
- torrences669 (2/5): Unsafe and Unsanitary Conditions - My family and I experienced the following issues: - Soiled bedding that occurred before we arrived that we had to change ourselves due to staff unavailable to do so; limited materials to change bedding for we were only offered a top sheet and a blanket to work with, and our child getting locked in the restroom due to a malfunctioning lock, which we learned happens often. No maintenance was available that evening to fix the lock. Hopefully, if you are visiting this establishment, you will have better sanitary and safety conditions. I hate to think what would have happened if a fire occurred and the child was stuck in the restroom.
- CamilleM109 (10/5): Great stay - Location is everything and they have clean rooms and great atmosphere.
I have stayed here many times and never disappointed. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
- Tonya (8/5): -
- Corinna (9/5): Best breakfast ever - Great Breakfast Could have been cleaner . Floors… elevator
- Siobhan (9/5): -
- Cory (9/5): Would definitely stay here again - Very clean Nothing
- Joe (10/5): - all of it none of it
- markfX7525KD (10/5): Gem at the heart - It was clean, cozy, easy and centrally placed. A beautiful city and a beautiful hotel right in the middle of all the best experiences.
- Ainsley (10/5): Love it! No complaints we will absolutely be staying again! - Love this property! We have stayed here twice for a week each time. Perfect location to be able to walk downtown! Parking situation is amazing right across the street. Clean! We are very happy about this property (on occasion we have had to wait very long time for elevators they are not always working (one is down and other is trying to do everything) sometimes the buttons never go off so take forever for elevator to stop at every floor
- KUJayhawks99 (10/5): NCAA Tourney Stay - Stayed for one night during the NCAA tournament. Excellent hotel within walking distance to all of downtown’s shops and restaurants. Comfortable beds, quiet, and the hotel itself is very clean. Breakfast is typical hotel fare. Would stay here again.
As mentioned in previous reviews, park across the street in the garage. Valet at hotel is $25 per night. Garage is $10 per 24 hours.
- williamsH4084VN (10/5): Greenville Stay - I had a really positive stay at the Hyatt in Greenville. From the moment I arrived, it just felt easy — and that matters more to me than anything overly fancy.
The location is hard to beat. Being right in downtown Greenville made it simple to step out, walk a bit, and take in the city without needing to plan much. I appreciated that a lot — especially after a long drive.
The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Nothing over the top, but everything I needed was there and worked the way it should. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well, which honestly is the best compliment I can give any hotel.
What stood out most was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuine — not forced or scripted. That goes a long way with me.
If I had to offer one small note, it would be that some of the spaces are starting to show a little wear — nothing major, just noticeable in spots. But it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
All in all, it was a solid stay. Comfortable, convenient, and welcoming — exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you

- 451trentd (10/5): Hyatt Place Greenville Downtown - Consistently Great - This is now the third time I've stayed at the Hyatt Place Greenville downtown. The stay and staff have been consistently great with no issues. The hotel is very pet friendly, but still very clean. The in app chromecast feature works on the room TV which I appreciate. The breakfast I would say is consistently above average compared to other Hyatt stays as well.
- Schneider (8/5): -
- pc1172 (10/5): Great for a walkable downtown Greenville stay. - Nice hotel just off the Main Street area. Water and breakfast are available. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Be prepared to pay for parking either valet or at one of the lots/garages.
- John (6/5): Ok - Location and cleanliness. Only one elevator working when we were there. In the morning, the housekeeping staff were having to use the same elevator and created a traffic jam. One morning, I came down to the breakfast to get two coffees and a piece of fruit while we got dressed. Came down with my wife, to get breakfast, and found out later that were charged full price for breakfast. Not happy.
- Anna (10/5): - Clean and convenient location Nothing
- M8781AFlindsayr (10/5): Nice! - Nice staff, easy check in, and clean place! Free water was a great bonus! If the app worked it would be seamless from start to finish! Will stay again!
- David (10/5): -
- Mike Cullen (10/5): - Comfortable People eating breakfast in their pajamas
- Joseph (8/5): Room was great but the extra charge was not!! - Breakfast was ok but the next day they charged me $35 for breakfast. I've stayed there many times and never was charged! Should have been told that at check in or that morning at breakfast! May be.my last time staying there. Breakfast was not worth what they charged. Would have ate somewhere else if I had known!
- Ronnie (10/5): -
- Gerhard (9/5): Sehr gut für Business Übernachtung - Es war sehr gut (Business Übernachtung) Personal könnte etwas schneller sein

- Brown (10/5): -
- whitney (10/5): Great location, friendly staff and excellent service! - Location was perfect! Walking distance to all the areas we wanted to see and awesome restaurants! The staff were so kind and attentive, will be staying here again! Thank you!
- Sharon (10/5): We enjoyed a two-night stay with a comfortable room, friendly staff, and great breakfast. - Great location and friendly staff. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was good! It was all good.
- Joseph (9/5): -
- Laurie (9/5): - The staff was amazing and very friendly. They were very attentive to our needs. The room was comfortable and was adequate enough for our needs. The breakfast was delicious however I feel it should have been included with the accommodations.
- Lois (3/5): A reliable quiet option would ensure we—and many others—can confidently book again. - Cleanly nose, modern appeal, friendly staff, We normally enjoy staying with you, but last weekend’s visit was ruined by excessive noise from children attending the youth soccer tournament. We were kept awake by screaming that carried four rooms away, and from 6:30 AM morning with children were running and shouting in the hallway.
We raised the issue at the front desk and appreciated the apology and loyalty points.
To prevent this issue for future guests, please consider:
Creating an adults-only or quiet-zone floor (especially during youth sports events).
More firmly enforcing quiet hours for large group bookings, with clear pre-arrival communication and, if needed, institutionalizing disturbance fees after warnings.
A reliable quiet option would ensure we—and many others—can confidently book with you again.

- Christen (9/5): Overall wonderful place to stay with an excellent location and friendly staff. - The rooms were very spacious and clean. The property had a great location for walking to all areas in downtown Greenville. There is no free parking at the hotel. You either pay $25 valet or use a parking deck across the street that cost max $7 a day.
- Harris (10/5): - the staff was great the price
- April (10/5): - Very clean, comfortable and great location. Parking is my only complaint. Free parking on the street is very limited. And $25 a nights for valet was a little pricy. But we parked across the street for $7 a night.
