• Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable memorable hotel - I vividly remember this hotel of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip to Japan. The room provided the much needed comfort and rest after a long day. The smoking area was a communal balcony which had a nice view of the street below. It was clean and we have no complaints. Very walkable to Nagoya station.

• Thomas (8/5): - Booked last-minute not expecting too much. Was very pleasantly surprised! Very close to Nagoya station. Thought the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, shower was great too. Shared toilet, shower, and laundry (only one of each per floor), but this did not cause any issues for me. Good value for money for my short stay.

• NOBUKO (6/5): - 名古屋駅のこちら側は、ちょっと寂れて地元の人もあまり行かない地域。アジア系の方に多く出会った。この金額で清潔に泊まれるので、気にしない人でビジネス目的なら駅近で便利。近くに銭湯があるが、私が行ったときは客が一人。古くて手入れはあまり行き届いていなかった。それも気にならない人には問題ないでしょう。悪くないけれど、誰にでも勧められるという感じではなかったので、辛めの☆になりました。

• baptiste (10/5): - Les chambres sont très propres avec de la moquette. Il y a dans la chambre des pyjamas, serviettes, rasoirs, coton, peigne et sèche cheveux. Il y a une salle de bain par étage et un toilette par étage pour 5 chambres par étage (il y a 3 étages). Les lits sont confortables et il y a une couette sans drap. Il y a une télévision avec une dizaine de chaîne mais pas de possibilité de connecter son téléphone ou iPad air la télé. L'accueil vous demandera votre passeport. Le seul point faible, les salles de bains n'ont pas de chauffage il fait donc froid.

• Verified traveler (8/5): お値段以上〜 - コロナで変更されたのかチェックインの時間が限られていて、ほかの時間はフロントに人がいません。荷物だけ預けたくて朝に行きましたが誰もおらず、預けられませんでした。夜も20時くらいでフロントが無人になっちゃうので、1度もスタッフに出会わないままチェックアウトになりました。クレカで事前払いだったから勝手にチェックアウトしましたが、現地払いだったらどうしたんだろう お部屋は格安と思えない広さで綺麗で満足でした！共用シャワーは湯船ないから冬は寒いかな〜

• わかば (8/5): - 名駅の太閤口から徒歩10分ほど。 4階に宿泊エレベーターがないため、最上階までキャリーケースを運ぶのはちょっと大変です。 シャワールームは広め、トイレはかなり広いため、同価格帯のカプセルやゲストハウスの比べて、個室を広く使え、広々ベットを使用できるのはかなりお得と思います。 バスタオル、フェイスタオルも2枚組で部屋にあり、無料で使用可能でした。

Shared toilet and bathroom was clean. Within walking distance to Nagoya Station, Noritake, Toyota Museum. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

• Jennifer (8/5): Basic, but comfortable, good value for short stay. - Stayed at Chou Kou for 3 nights for the weekend of the Formula 1 at Suzuka (an hour away by train) and it was ideal for that. Seriously recommend if you’re going to the F1. We are a couple in our late 30s. The place is halfway between a hostel and a hotel. It has plenty of in room amenities, and there is ample soap, shampoo etc in all the shared bathrooms. We knew we would be sharing bathrooms, so I can’t complain about that itself, but it’s a shame that the toilets are hole in the ground style, especially when you’re sharing with the rest of the floor. There is a female only shower and toilet on the 4th floor that I was happier to use. We were there during typhoon Hagibis, so spent an entire day shut in our room but the bed is super comfortable, the pillows are good and you can get more if you need them, so we didn’t suffer at all. The staff were friendly and available, despite limited English, they do have a perfectly good pocket translator machine if needed. You have to lug your cases up and down a few flights of narrow, steep stairs so be aware of that if it might be an issue. We slept well, the air con is great, and we heard very little surrounding noise despite the place being full. The location is a very short walk to Nagoya station, and there are some great eating and drinking spots on the walk between the hotel and the station. Would not hesitate to stay again, if we return for the racing. Very good value and did the job.
