Guest Reviews
- Glenn (7/5): Clean comfort , perfect location. Very friendly staff - It was the venue of my get together so location couldn’t be better. Comfortable little room , clean and everything you need. Shower was cool , never really got hot. The shower wasn’t hot, lukewarm at best .
- Lindsay (10/5): - Friendly staff, great beer and breakfast
- Dragomir (10/5): -
- Gary (6/5): Value for money no frills hotel - Clean room and facilities Staff attitude
- Ashley (7/5): -
- ERIC (8/5): Good value - Ok value for money bed clean & comfy Room very hot no windows in bedroom a bit noisy
- Darren (6/5): Lovely helpful staff, the venue could do with a bit of restoration. - The breakfast was lovely but had no choice just served a full English with no options offered The first room were given did not have a working shower, but we were then given a much nicer room for our second night.

- Mark (9/5): my son & I really enjoyed our stay here the staff were friendly, helpful & really very welcoming - The location was really good for what we wanted, The breakfast was excellent & staff was helpful & friendly
- Carolyn (9/5): Nice place to stay with young children. Staff were really helpful and polite to our child. We would definitely come back - Staff very welcoming and nice to our child. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast too.
We enjoyed our stay! Nothing - it was all good.
- michael (10/5): If you want a relaxing stay around Whitton or Twickenham maybe even farther away it’s a perfect location and the staff w - Very convenient to everything Nothing
- John (10/5): Close to stadium train station - Great location Staff were excellent
- Barbara (10/5): Great location to Twickenham. Lovely staff - The staff and cleanliness That it is shared bathroom facilities although I was fully aware of this at time of booking. It was never hidden
- Helen (7/5): - Lovely staff, cosy atmosphere Small rooms with very small bed so not comfortable for 2 people. Would be great if staying on your own
- Roger (7/5): This is my hotel of choice when visiting the London area. - I have now stayed in The White Hart four times. I choose it because of the location, the great staff, the nice pub with friendly locals. It is close to Heathrow, and it is easy to get to London from here.
The Inn is located in the villiage of Whitton and is much more peacefull than the main centre of Twickenham; however it is easy to get to Twickenham from Whitton. Threre are many museums to visit in the ware. The wifi doesn't work well in the rooms.
- Charles (7/5): - Breakfast was very good and great value
- Michael (4/5): Simple accommodation although the guests below were less than pleased by me simply walking about. - It was basic accommodation albeit not exactly at budget prices. However it did serve the purpose of a bed for a couple of nights before I moved onto the main purpose of my visit. Disappointed that the establishment no longer offered food at lunch or dinner. Whilst I can appreciate the economics and the reasoning behind it, the fact that I had to go off premises for any food was a little frustrating.
- Zoe (9/5): Lovely and enjoyable stay - A really lovely place to stay.
Room was quirky and staff were exceptional.
- Roddy (10/5): Everything I needed in a time where I needed some time alone and to get some well needed rest - It had a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming and inviting. My privacy was respected and they went above to accommodate my particular needs at the time. Highly recommend if you want some peace and friendly faces. No complaints.
- James (8/5): It was well priced and did the job above a pub very friendly staff would recommend - It was good , well priced Nothing really
- Rick (9/5): Great community, great hosts, and a really grand time. - The location worked well. The accommodations were fine for us. It is a building that was built in the 1600s so expect some low overhangs and some steep stairs, etc. but overall the people were great hosts, helpful, and the locals who stop by the pub are just good folks. It was a great experience. Also close enough to the train to run into London with little hassle. Nothing. It was what I expected and the friendliness of the folks exceeded my high expectations.
- Nick (10/5): Will book again due to location, parking and friendly staff - but would love it if they replaced the mattresses - Friendly
Perfect location
Great breakfast Mattresses need replacing
- Ellis (9/5): -
- John (6/5): - Friendly staff fresh beer music on year eve Sleeping at an inn 1st time I did not like the narrow stairs and low ceilings
- Marnie (10/5): Perfect for us and great value for money - Room was perfect for our family of 4, great value for money and the staff were amazing, couldn’t do more for us.. will def be back when we visit family again. Thank you x
- Jason (10/5): Great location, freindly, helpful staff, good comfort room and bed - Booked the room to go to Twickenham to watch the rugby and it was around a 5 minute walk.
Good size clean room, very clean, warm and comfortable white bedding and good size very comfortable beds.
The room was over the bar which was busy as we through but very little noise heard in the room and I was able to get to sleep quickly.
Greeted by the same lady we checked in with the night before who cooked us a reasonable price cooked breakfast.
Parking was on the street, with a permit provided by the pub, I think they save the parking on the pub car park for people who turn up later so they have somewhere to park. Only thing I can complain about was being woke at 1.30 by what sounded like someone in the pub below moving something but the beds where comfortable and I got back to sleep quickly only to be woken at 6.15am by a man who slammed his bedroom door, stomped down the hall and had a very loud conversation, which I can only assume was on the phone.
I do feel mean putting these comments because I would recommend the White Hart, the location and the staff 100% but these were the ONLY TWO things that woke me.
- P1npay (8/5): - Friendly member of staff and free parking was good Bed frame was making some noise, but it's nothing major
- smith (8/5): The inn rooms are clean and comfy but it is also a pub for locals so can get noisy - Loose and showers spotless and comfy beds with lovely white bedding our lovely lady who did our huge delicious full English breakfast was so polite and helpful worked sohard to give us everything hot and fresh , a real Gem to the pub , There's was alot of noise and things got very boisterous well into the early hours so not much sleep im afraid
- zaid (9/5): -
- Natasha (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean room lovely breakfast would Tay again Location
- kelly (10/5): A nice place to stay - Have stayed here before. Staff really friendly, good facilities and a nice little pub. A little noisy, but the building is very old.

- Matthew (7/5): - I scored it a 7, as it's difficult to know what I am scoring it on. If compared to an upmarket hotel, then it obviously going to be lower. For what I needed it for (short notice accommodation, close to where my friend lives) then it was excellent. Very good value for money. Accommodated a very short notice booking. Staff incredibly friendly and accommodating, given the very short notice and very late checking in (as the pub was closing).
The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom very clean.
If somebody was looking to stay there and use it as a base for tourist stuff across the city, or expect an instagram-worthy pic, then it might not be ideal. If you are looking for a room in the Whitton/Twickenham area, then it absolutely does deliver in that context.
It's a charming, classic pub, and one that I go to (when not staying over) with my friend when I am down in London. The staff are lovely, and they serve an excellent guiness.
It was perfect for what I needed in that moment. I have nothing to add here. I would have given it a score of 10/10 in terms of what I needed when in the moment I stayed (other accommodation fell through and I had to find alternative accommodation at very short notice). It isn't luxury, but as far as 'a room at the inn' goes, it suited me perfectly, and had a certain charm or character about it that I enjoyed.
- Chris (8/5): Great value, top location, superb breakfast, staff spot on, will visit again. - Great pub. Basic but v clean and comfortable accommodation. Fab location. Floor boards upstairs are quite noisy.
- Jeff (8/5): Good value for money, plenty of off road parking - Very near to our destination event, ease of booking in,nice warm comfortable room
- Jeremy (8/5): -
- mark (7/5): -
- Asif (10/5): -
- Russell (8/5): Very good thank you to the staff - Staff where very friendly great breakfast nice pub good location to the ruby ground Creaky floor boards
- Jana (10/5): Krásné prostředí a úžasní lidé. - Lidé a atmosféra Nic
- Sandra (8/5): This was the first stay we had in England. Loved it all Would go back Breakfast yummy staff delightful - Historical building
Gardens in back lovely
Outside space big and beautiful Need to hang a tennis ball? At top of doorways so people don’t bang there head
- Dean (10/5): Good location - Parking
Great breakfast
- Natasha (8/5): Very pleasant - Very friendly staff. We arrived late on a Saturday night, the pub was busy but no problem with check in and barely heard any noise from upstairs.
The breakfast was as definitely worth the money and the lady who made it was very kind and attentive.
The rooms were basic but clean and had an everything you need. It was lovely and warm in the room. The shared bathroom was clean and did the job.
A very pleasant and nice stay and woke up ready to go to Thorpe park which only took us 15 minutes.
The parking was free too which is always an added bonus! The only problem I had with the property was that the floor boards were extremely creaky and the ceiling was low for my partner but understandable as it’s an old pub. Wasn’t too much of an issue but late at night did sound a little creepy!
Also the WiFi upstairs was not great but again not to much of a problem.
- Terry (10/5): I will be back!! - Very clean room, bed fresh and comfortable. I could not fault it. Superb value Great location and friendly staff. Great welcome from a beautiful host!
- Ward (6/5): -
- Florin (10/5): Great atmosphere and quiet night - Great staff Nothing
- Noah (8/5): - Staff were really kind and had a cosy / nice vibe ;o
- Sarah Moxon (7/5): - Location was great for Twickenham and with parking (pre booked).

- Amina (7/5): - The location is good. However I slept in one of the Arctic rooms, and there was no heating it was freezing cold. I was very disappointed I didn't sleep well. The room was clean and tidy. The heating was turned off in the night.when temperature drop. And room was freezing. I requested to be moved to another room but was told will pay extra money to move to en suite rooms with bathroom .I had to speak to owner who allowed me to pay extra! Thanks for that.
This was my second stay.I was a bit disappointed.
- Robert (8/5): -
- Gareth (10/5): Highly recommended - Nice and clean, great staff, a nice relaxed pub with a good atmosphere. Nothing
- Danny (6/5): - quirky building, very creaky floor boards, i was in room 2 over the bar area and it was very noisy, but it is a pub. i had some very noisy people above me in the attic that keep me awake till the early hours. good breakfast and the staff were helpful.
- Sombonaah (8/5): -
- gerard (7/5): Good value nice pub would go again. - Staff Nothing
- Artur (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): - Very nice service & little traffic noise. Heathrow planes fly to and fro above but I never heard them during the night.
Perhaps the wall-cupboard could be made into a shower-room/toilet in future. At the moment the shared toilets and shower are outside in the corridor.
- Camelia (8/5): - Noisy fan which we could hear from the room at night.
Beautiful garden where we relaxed and had a nice drink.
Thank you, all in all it was a pleasant stay.
- Deborah (9/5): Will bear it in mind if we are working in the same area again - Good location, spacious rooms. No food served
- David (5/5): -
- Paul (7/5): -
- Natalie (10/5): - This inn is absolutely fantastic from the spotless rooms to the great bar with the most lovely staff and friendly people. Its a short walk to the town centre and stadium. Id highly recommend fantastic price to boot. Ps breakfast was 10/10
- Sam (6/5): - Great pub/hotel room was decent sized no frills but everything we needed for our stay. We had a very good deal and stayed 1 night. The only issues we had were parking, as the pub did not have a car park and most of the nearby streets were residents only so we had to park about 10/15 minutes away. We stayed Friday night so music was fairly loud until 10pm, then stopped at 11pm, so managed to sleep quite well once it stopped. Lastly the room was very warm in the middle of summer without any sort of air conditioning or fan.
Overall the room was very clean, in a good location very close to London, near public transport and served its purpose for our stay. Staff were very friendly and check in was very quick.
- Ed (8/5): -
- Colin (10/5): It’s very old building but for me it was about the cleanliness of the room, comfortable sleep, friendly staff and locatio - Room and en-suite toilet was clean. Staff was friendly and polite. Had a good breakfast. Parking was available.
- Simon (8/5): - Stopped here a couple of times now and would definitely stop again.. within walking distance to a couple of stations… clean rooms, friendly staff and really good price…
- Cassie (7/5): Good value stay - Good little hotel for the price. Great to be able to park the car. Room and toilets clean. We found it quiet at night. Towels a bit threadbare
- Martin (7/5): Good -
- Gerry (4/5): Disappointing -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Dean (2/5): - The room was more of a cupboard with camp beds in it should only be used as a store room or single .lack of ventilation
- Keith (6/5): Basic - Basic, noisy
- Gavin (7/5): Just for 1 night stay ok - No food and the t v did not work
- David (9/5): A good break to watch the Rugby. Location is perfect for Twickenham stadium - Location was good, nice friendly atmosphere. good garden, and breakfast was excellent
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (4/5): Disappointing - Location is Good, Staff were very friendly.. The Room was very disappointing..
The Bed wasn't good...
I've stayed in much better rooms for less money, to think it was reduced from £85 to the £60 that I paid..
- Eileen (7/5): Good - Would have liked clarification about breakfast when making booking. Unaware of need to book it night before.
- Eddie (6/5): - A bit tired
- Juraj (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff
- Katherine (7/5): Good - Maria behind the bar was absolutely lovely showed us our room and was incredibly welcoming. Great service The room was incredibly dated with old furniture but sheets were clean.and bed quite comfortable
- Stwven (10/5): A great place to stay for Rugby and terminal 4 Heathrow. - We were welcomed as soon as we entered. The pub was very spacious inside and out. Very well designed for upcoming events. Especially Rugby. Being so close to Twickenham. Couldn't fault the breakfast. Infact the amount of different foods from cearal to drinks. For the area was brilliant maybe under priced. Really worth have. The staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again. The price for the room was brilliant. The only thing the toilet and shared bathroom was was separate from the room. Which isn't a real problem. As said above, comments. The price was brilliant
- Davies (7/5): Excellent value for money. - Lovely hosts. Excellent breakfast.
- Darren (8/5): - Enjoyed it, a little dated and no en-suite (knew that, fine). However, the breakfast was AMAZING. 10/10, and lovely lady who prepared/served. Staff were very friendly and professional, I'd stay again. Thanks
- Nicholas (8/5): Really pleasant staff, good location, easy for bus and train , very comfortable stay . - Excellent breakfast and very good price. Nothing needs changing
- Dean (6/5): - Uncomfortable bed. Noise from downstairs all night. Sounded like boiler kicking in or fridge unit.
- Tommy3344 (6/5): Pleasant - Clean tidy but dated... Ok fir stop over staff friendly.. Location good you pay for what you get.. 😜 Old creaking floors.. Very small single bed but for 50 quid what would you expect... Clean... Would stay again..
- Stuart (8/5): - Great place to stay if attending any event at Twickenham Stadium or the Stoop. Not many frills but well priced with excellent staff and one of the best value breakfast I've had.
