Guest Reviews
- Rebecca (9/5): - The location and views are brilliant. Great short walks and easy access to longer walks. The house is spacious and clean and the hosts accommodating. Nothing
- Mark (4/5): Not as good as expected for the money - Views and close to loch đ´ó §ó ˘ó łó Łó ´ó ż Blocked drainage in shower and problem with hot water and the heating. Hosts should spend more time fixing problems and clean the cottage. Great location an the views best part of it
- Liz (9/5): Wished we could have stayed longer than 2 nights but hope to return :) - The views and the way the cottage was decorated and done out. Few practical details like not quite enough mugs, no bun for dog poo bags and no instructions on hearing but very small fry compared to everything else.
- Sean (8/5): - The property was clean warm and comfortable and an ideal base for a short break with our grandchildren to take in the Woodland experience and visit the sea life centre at Balloch All good
- Ăžorgils (8/5): - It was good, It was smole misanderstending about the heating system.
- Johnstone (9/5): -
- Rhona (9/5): Lovely cottage - Had a lovely weekend here with some friends. Cottage was spotless and ideal for a weekend getaway. Had everything you would need, highly recommend.
- Meghan (9/5): - Very spacious, hosts were very helpful and friendly.
The fire in the kitchen is very cute.
- Cameron (10/5): - Really great views. More spacious than we had imagined. Fantastic upstairs and downstairs seating to view Ben Lomond. Great location to get to both East and West loch lomond. The cushions on the upstairs single chairs by window weren't that comfy, the others were all great.
- Georgia (9/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Great spot. Easy to access plenty of places to visit and it's in a lovely quiet area. Even the dĂŠcor is perfect for the surroundings Even after 3 days there we still couldn't get any hot water. That's literally my only gripe about the whole place. Everything else was great. Even the kids loved it and didn't want to leave
- Eleanor (7/5): Good -
- Meghan (10/5): Amazing! - Everything! We were unable to get hot water on Sunday morning but it wasnât too much of an issue!
- Louise (1/5): Dusty - The location was beautiful. The bathrooms both clean. Aside from the bathrooms the other rooms were grubby. As soon as we got inside I noticed the greasy marks on the inside of most windows. The dining room table was dirty. Although it offers a log burner and a bag of logs there was no kindling or fire lighters to help light the fire. The coffee table and skirting boards in the tv room were dirty as was the window in that room. The wall paper behind the log burner was torn and coming away from the wall.
The general lighting was quite dim in each room. There are lots of cupboards containing implements that look not their best. In the kitchen top shelves were very dusty.
Upon going to bed I noticed the bottom sheet had black and pinky purple marks all over one side. This looked like mould. The following morning we looked closer at the bedroom and found it to be extremely dusty. The bedframe was dusty, the table side lamps coated in dust and so was the wardrobe. This wasn't what we expected after reading the ratings which were so good. I expect things to be clean upon arrival and not have to inform the owner. We left Sunday morning after one night's stay as we felt the cottage didn't meet our expectations.
- Claire (10/5): Very relaxed, cosy, beautiful cottage and scenery - Beautifully decorated, very clean and loved the log fire
- Heather (10/5): We had a lovely time and will definitely return. The owner was a great host and so helpful whenever we needed anything - Lots of space, warm cosy decor, home from home Nothing - was everything we expected and more
- Innes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dawn (10/5): Lovely peaceful cosy cottage - Beautiful cottage.. lovely decorated and much bigger than depicted in the pictures. The log burner in the kitchen was so cosy.. we just spent the full weekend in that room.. nice and quiet location and across the road from great walk to the loch shore in the rspb centre . Tv wasnât working but we didnât miss it as we thoroughly enjoyed cosying around the log burner or enjoying wine round the huge kitchen table
- Chris (10/5): Cody, well equipped with stunning views. - Cody, well equipped with stunning views. Nothing.
- Duncan (7/5): Good - The location is great and the cottage is well equipped with great views of the surrounding areas. The cottage entrance is concealed and it will be useful to have a sign that visibly says the cottage name. Also, the bathrooms need some work. Other than that everything else is perfect.
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (10/5): A wonderfully cosy and comfortable home - A cosy Scottish home which was the perfect location for our girls catch up weekend. Great privacy but hosts are nearby if needed. Nothing !
- Lomas (7/5): Met expectations for a short stopover. - Location was in the right place for a planned stopover. Peaceful area and lots of things to do. Local supermarket well stocked and easy to find. Expected on a farm, but lots of flies in the cottage all the time, also no lightbulb in the main bedroom. Not big problems and as only a short stopover didn't want to bother the hosts.
- Anonymous (9/5): Great location with access to places to go hiking, not far from ben lomond, and part of the west highland way - Very scenic location with picturesque views of ben lomond
- Debbie (9/5): Superb -
- Koulla (9/5): Superb - Lovely cottage. Very well equiped. A beautiful view over the Loch
- Gowtham (10/5): Memorable stay - Excellent views and beautifully presented cottage. Helpful owners. Easy Parking Nothing
- Erwin (9/5): Superb -
- Melanie (10/5): Excellent cottage beautiful location. - beautifully decorated inside. Had everything we needed.
Brilliant location to explore Loch Lomond and beyond
- Olly (9/5): Superb - The views Some of the cups were dirty upon arrival
- Lauren (10/5): Girls weekend - We loved how the cottage had been lovingly decorated and how spacious it was. Having the log burner was a really nice thing. It was a very quiet location and the cottage felt like it could hold lots of people easily. Having to navigate showers for five females was a bit of a challenge and took us a while to get ready in the morning to allow the water to heat back up again.
- Guy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (8/5): Excellent! - The property was beautifully decorated to a very high standard and the views/garden were stunning. The host was very accommodating and happy to help with any queries and questions. I would definitely recommend staying here. The radiator in the kitchen (which is a large part of the property) was not working throughout my stay and it made the room extremely cold.
- Sheaghna (7/5): beautiful cottage, friendly owner. plumbing needs fixed - looked beautiful and was larger than we anticipated. views are spectacular shower flooded so water everywhere. let owner know and drain unblocker put down but this was much worse the next morning. bath also plug does not stay secure so this drained slowly while in the bath.
- Barry (9/5): Spacious & quiet cottage with great views across the fields. - Great spacious cottage in quiet rural location with nice view across the fields. Both the lake Loch Lomond and Glasgow within reach. Wifi was unreliable but a result of the remote location.
- Dominique (7/5): Spacious and atmospheric house on beautiful property, shower should be improved. - THe house is very spacious! Large kitchen and living room with beautiful view. Good location next to large garden of ownersm but with lots of privacy. Nicely decorated. One bedroom downstairs and an open floor upstairs in direct connection with the kitchen downstairs, spacious with 2 beds and we had an extra foldable stretcher for our 3rd kid. Tumble dryer available.
You get one bag of wood for free for the fireplace in the kitchen, which is very nice. Be careful, since the bedroom upstairs is in open connection with the kitchen (no doors/walls) the smell of smoke stays in that bedroom.
Very easy and friendly communication with the owners. The house has lots of potential, since its is so spacious. But a few basics aren't comfortable: To be able to get a hot shower, there is an instruction to switch the central heating on and another extra button at least 30 min. in advance. We did so, but in 2 days we tried several times and waited for at least 1-2 hours, none of the 5 of us managed to get a warm shower. The water was maximum lukewarm mosty. Not comfortable. Waterpressure in the whole house is also very low, kitchen and bathrooms, so e.g. long hair can't be rinsed from shampoo in the shower.
A busy raod about 300m from the housem which you hear as well,
