- Dawn (10/5): - A great B&B.. comfy bed & fantastic breakfast
- Andrew (10/5): - I had a lovely comfortable stay and the hosts were friendly, helpful and the Breakfast each morning was exceptional.
The layout of my room was slightly unusual and took a little getting used to.
- Craig (10/5): - From the warm welcome, great bed and fantastic location, no sure you could ask for any more. Def one to bring my wife to fir a cheeky overnight
- steve (4/5): - Arrived at this accommodation at 1pm, being unaware that check in was 4pm (my oversight)
Was pouring with rain and we had just hiked from Carlisle
The landlady was clearly annoyed that we had arrived early as the room was not ready.
I fully understood that the room was not ready, not a problem, but I would assume that if you choose to do business in the hospitality business that your response to the early arrival of a customer would be better than…go back out into the pouring rain for the next three hours..bear in mind that this accommodation is in the middle of nowhere, so our only option was to walk around in the rain for 3 hours, or sit in a very damp looking outdoor covered area, which the landlady generously said we could wait in.
We decided that the best use of the 3 hours we had available to us was by walking to our following days destination of Bowness, were we found nice accommodation and a very hospitable host.
I’m unable to give any review of the accommodation, as I never set foot in side.
- Stephen (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Lovely peaceful room with view across fields, well located for looking around Solway Firth which is magic as the sun goes down. Bike storage and an enormous breakfast. Recommended, thanks!
- Joan (10/5): - Very comfortable accommodation with friendly and welcoming hosts. It felt like home. Excellent and relaxed breakfast
- David (10/5): Enjoyable stay - One night stay , Janice and Caleb were lovely hosts.
Comfy room and cooked to order breakfast with home made bread and preserves
- Antony (10/5): A Gem of a place - Early sign posting to the B&B helped. Arrived early and my room was made ready straight away. Room itself was spotless and the decor could not be faulted, even the roll top bath in the room. Early breakfast available, with choice of hot or cold breakfast. The only downside is that I could only stay the one night as moving on to Carlisle the next morning. This place is one that you bank for future use or recommending to other folk
- Graeme (10/5): Great B&B - Super B&B; incredibly warm welcome, fantastic breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent B&B near the end/start of the Hadrian’s wall path walk. The hosts arrange free transfers to town which is very convenient
- Susan (10/5): - Lovely guest house. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
I had the single room. It was beautiful, very clean and comfortable.
Would highly recommend staying here.
I stayed over night on my way to Scotland.
- Birgitte (10/5): Hyggeligt på landet - Super søde værter tog imod os i gården. De var meget afslappede og rare, og alt gik helt uden problemer. Værelset var pænt og rent, og der var snacks og drikkevarer.
- David (8/5): - Really nice, clean place about 7km from Bowness and the start/finish of the Hadrian's Wall and about 20 mins in the car from the centre of Carlisle.
Excellent breakfast and really friendly proprietor.
- Paul (10/5): - Very friendly people and welcoming, all the facilities were excellent
- Geoffrey (10/5): Outstanding - Everything was wonderful, including the superb breakfast.

Would go again if travling in the area again

- Mark (10/5): A wonderful experience - This is a beautiful farmhouse in a small village, very quiet and remote location. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and had everything we needed as a small family. Felt very covid safe. It’s now a definite place for use to stay when we are in the area again. Highly recommended.
