Guest Reviews
- Andy (3/5): - The old country style home was amazing, and the surrounding gardens were great. Staff were attentive. The shower in the room I stayed in didn't work almost at all, they advised me when I asked about it that they had been trying to fix it for a while but couldn't work it out, the pressure wasn't there at all. They said I could move room(was leaving the next day) or I could pop in to one of the other rooms to have a shower. The room could have done with an overall clean, there was quite a bit of dust around.

- Peter (8/5): Well presented property with very helpful and friendly service. - The property was extremely homey.
The staff were very friendly. The water pressure wasn’t too high.

- Christopher (9/5): Great stay. - Nice quiet location and a great room, with a nice seating area. Great breakfast and the lady that served us was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you. The only minor issue was the water pressure from the shower.
- Philip (10/5): Lovely stay visiting friends ,perfect room with doors onto the garden for our dog - Wonderful breakfast All spot on

- Allie (9/5): Friendly, comfortable hotel for a relaxing stay. - It was a lovely house with extremely friendly and helpful staff in a beautiful location. Quiet and very relaxing. Great breakfast inciuded in the price and good home cooked food in the evening. V comfy bed. Some people may find it a little dated.
- Mark (8/5): -
- Paul (8/5): Convenient for Lowestoft - Well situated for travelling in to Lowestoft. Good evening meal and bar and comfortable room. Great breakfast Nothing
- Simon (8/5): Convenient for our needs - very good value. - Convenient location. Great value. Very good breakfast. Staff friendly. Very poor water pressure in the shower. Hotel looks a little ‘tired’.
- Nichola (9/5): Nice grounds , good breakfast - Lovely position, 2nd time we’ve stayed . Would stay again , good breakfast Nothing
- Katryna (9/5): Quaint hotel in peaceful surroundings - Good location lovely setting good breakfast
- rawlingss (8/5): - Peace and quiet lovely location.
- Rebecca (9/5): -
- Vincent (8/5): Great place to stay, friendly staff and lovely breakfast - Lovely location
- Marie (7/5): - Beautiful location. Friendly staff, the food in the restaurant was lovely. The room was clean and tidy. My room had an off set room for the TV with a couple of arm chairs. Very quaint. Nothing I didnt like, just thought the furniture was a bit dated. The plug sockets were so close to the floor I could not plug my charger in, although they did provide an extension lead which plugged in to the one good socket
- Hayley (10/5): Felt like home from home, will be returning - Was clean and very welcoming Nothing
- Flora (9/5): Great value friendly country hotel - Friendly. Spacious airy room. Great value. Free dog stay and good green area around. Beds not the newest
- Chris (8/5): Nice place - Stayed for one night on work trip, very clean and comfortable, quiet setting, lovely welcoming hosts, fantastic breakfast 😊 The shower wasn’t great but that’s just a minor point

- Donn (7/5): A pleasant stay. - The hotel was very nice, warm and cosy, the staff were nice and friendly too. The location and grounds were very good, very handy as we had our dog with us. The food was very good until one of our party found a long black hair in the middle of her breakfast! It put her off eating there so we decided to have our last breakfast elsewhere. Sad but it did spoil an otherwise enjoyable stay despite a cursory apology and no offer of refund for the offending breakfast or the following days breakfast. Apart from the hair, nothing, it’s a nice hotel.
- STEVEN (9/5): It’s was a lovely weekend break with fantastic food and friendly staff - Quite and relaxing Nothing
- Michelle (8/5): Very dog friendly, great staff and good value for money - Exceptionally dog friendly which was very important to us. There was a wedding going on in the barn which was very noisy with some of the party staying at the hotel but overall we were not too disturbed by it. The breakfast was well presented. All the staff seemed very friendly. It is good value for money. It’s very tired. The little paper bag with just two tea bags, 2 coffee, just 2 milk and only one hot chocolate - I know we could have asked for more but shouldn’t really have to.
- Kenneth (10/5): Homely Hotel - It is a hotel that feels like home. We have been coming for a few years now and the friendly staff have not changed. It is dog friendly with ample grounds to walk Fido (don't forget to pick up after your dog) Breakfast will set you up for the day and is excellently cooked by the proprietress. The evening menu is limited but the food is delicious and try to be there Monday evening which is Pie Night when you can sample a delicious homemade chicken or beef pie. The hotel is situated within easy reach of Lowestoft, Oulton Broad, the dog friendly beach at Gorleston and Yarmouth. Unlike many hotels today there is no charge for dogs and it has ample free parking.
What's not to like I can recommend this hotel without reservation for relaxing and reasonably priced holiday or overnight stay. The potholes.
- Murray-dickson (8/5): - Friendly atmosphere. Nothing
- Beverley (7/5): -
- Howard (8/5): Well located. Pleasant staff - Location Room was large but two level access by stairs only. Bath slippery.
- Joanna (10/5): -
- Howard (8/5): A quiet country location with excellent access to Oulton Broad. Staff very friendly an food good va - The Breakfast was excellentent. Freshly cooked, quality ingredients and good portions. Tea making packs use uhh milk pods which we found poor substitute for fresh milk.
- Murray-dickson (9/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent breakfast Not much of an evening menu, but sufficient.
- Murray-dickson (9/5): - Friendly staff and very accommodating when adding another day to my stay for work
Excellent breakfast Not much of a choice for evening meal, but sufficient.
- Anth51ea (9/5): Spacious hotel set back in large grounds - It provided everything we needed for an overnight stay and is ideally situated for anyone wanting to do the Lowestoft parkrun.
We had a large room with a comfortable bed, two easy chairs in front of the tv and an ensuite with a bath.
We were pleased to find that they offered bar meals in the evening which were very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good as well and unusually served from 7.30 on a Saturday ( ideal for parkrunners!!) Being such a large room it was hard for it to become cosily warm
- Linsey (6/5): -
- evelyn (8/5): - Location excellent
Staff very friendly/helpful We stayed in room that catered for dogs
There was a function on during the evening, with very load music ,so was unable to go to sleep until after midnight because of the noise!!
Would liked to have been warned about this, and moved to a room further away from the load disco!
- Holly (10/5): Wholesome - The staff where really friendly and welcoming, The value for money was exceptional given the grounds of the property the size of the room as well as the breakfast that was included.
- Dean (6/5): Good - Breakfast good I liked it and it was great value for money, but old and tired.... exceptionally clean.
- Paul (10/5): -
- catherine (8/5): Tranquillité et bon emplacement - L'emplacement tranquille et le personnel très accueillant Le lit qui aurait pu être plus confortable
- Christine (7/5): Overall, our stay was good and would stay here again if we were passing through the area. - The location was good and the property was in lovely grounds.
A comfortable room with adequate facilities for a short visit. The shower in our bathroom could have been better.
Maybe a breakfast menu so that you can see what’s available rather than having to ask.
- Steven (10/5): - Very good
- Colin (7/5): It is a comfortable hotel, that I would use again. - Excellent, home cooked breakfast. They used all fresh ingredients. The cooked breakfast was brought to the table before I had finished eating the fruit.
The shower was little more than a trickle.
- Carol (9/5): -
- Elaine (9/5): - Breakfast was superb.

- Jones (8/5): - Food good and very hot. Bed comfortable and rooms really warm. Nothing
- Kenneth (10/5): - The friendly staff, the good food especially breakfast. Nice atmosphere and dog friendly with no extra charge for Basil our spoo🐕. The location in lovely grounds with plenty of dog walks and proximity to the amenities of Oulton Broad, Lowestoft, Gorleston and Yarmouth. Having to leave!
- Susan (9/5): Good as usual - Friendly and homely atmosphere. We’ve stayed a few times. We visit my brother and his wife who are both poorly who live not far from the hotel. Ideal location for us N/A
- june (10/5): Only one word - fabulous! - All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, everywhere’s immaculately clean and the beds are so comfortable you won’t want to get out in the morning 😂 The breakfast is 100% can’t really fault it at all this was our second stay and it will be one of many from now on! We picked a very cold few days to visit and found the heating must be on a timer and goes of about 22/23 o clock but nothing a pair so was a bit chilly in middle of night but nothing a cozy pair of pj’s can’t fix and it’s back on by about 5am definitely not something that would put us off visiting again.
- STEPHEN (9/5): -
- Alex (8/5): - The location of our room, friendly staff and first class breakfast. The shower wasn't very good.
- Pauline (6/5): -
- Wojciech (10/5): - The food was very good the rooms were big and clean and your service was very good and the people were nice
- Shirley (10/5): -
- Bondi (8/5): - Very beautiful, scenic. Well kept and looked after. The room was very spacious. Breakfast and dinner was good. The heating was a bit lacking and the shower head pressure was not the best.
- Denise (8/5): Lovely breakfast & deer roaming the grounds - Perfect location as we were in the area for a family gathering. Staff very friendly & helpful. Room a good size & bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, hot & filling & cooked to order. We did have a problem in our room but once bought to the attention of a member of staff it was dealt with immediately. A couple of other points, we did find the bathroom mirror to be positioned very high & only being 5ft 3in tall my husband was unable to use it to shave in. Also the water pressure in the shower was not very strong. .
- Fanny (10/5): Lovely stay in quiet location - The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very nicely located. Rooms are very clean and breakfast was lovely. Not much insulation between the rooms
- Simon (4/5): -
- june (10/5): Very comfortable room, pet friendly, very helpful and friendly staff and fantastic breakfast going back next week for s - Very clean and comfortable great amenities tea/coffee facilities in the room.
- Ruth (6/5): Whilst I had a comfortable stay apart from the lack of water provision I won’t be staying again sadly - Good location and easy to find I found out as going to bed I couldn’t drink the water- but no bottled water was provided.
As I was checking out I witnessed a lady leaving the kitchen with a plate of food followed by two dogs!
- marc (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): Nice Weekend Break at Park Hill Hotel - It was a clean comfortable hotel with a nice cooked breakfast and very friendly/helpful staff.
Would book and stay again if in the area. The decor in the room was clean and comfortable but slightly dated.
- Paula (8/5): A very welcoming and comfortable hotel, and very good value - We had the pleasure of eating breakfast in the lovely dinning room, which overlooks beautifully kept gardens with wildlife scampering about. Our breakfast was delicious, served nice and hot, with high quality ingredients.
- Robert G R (8/5): -
- Mariusz010774 (7/5): - Location Summer very hot room .Broken windows no fan or air-condition ..
- marc (10/5): Another wonderful stay - Everything from the staff to the location to the building itself , my family and I love our stays here . Nothing at all
- Murray-dickson (8/5): - Friendly staff. Excellent value for the money. Where dinner is served a little bare. Not a restaurant style
- John (9/5): 2nd time here and would come again - a great good quality breakfast the shower was too hot. had to have a bath. reported to reception
- Brian (8/5): Beautiful & picturesque ... - The breakfast was excellent and helped start my day! The shower lacked pressure!
- Lorraine (2/5): Wouldn’t stay here again - Not a lot - the room was good in terms of having doors that went out onto the lawn so was easy to let my dog out, rather than trooping through the hotel every time It was very tired and although we were told it had wifi - it did not work. We arrived after a horrendous journey and the reception was unmanned, we rang the bell, shouted, searched and screamed until finally someone appeared. No one around on check out either
- Lindsey (6/5): Fair but needs updating - Quiet location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Outdated rooms. Remote control in a bag. Two milks. No dressing table. Bright light shine through window til 3am.
