- John (1/5): Wanted a nice change for Christmas from where we were staying, paid more, got less, terrible - I reserved the suite and the room was large the bathroom was nice, except the shower door didn't completely close and the water didn't drain fast enough and ran into the bathroom and the bathroom door wouldn't latch unless you pushed on it really hard. the bed was huge but was as hard as concrete, turns out the mattress(?) was compressed foam rubber covered in a fabric like what would be used in patio furniture, then covered with a sheet. The description of the room included a fireplace, but no fireplace. I couldn't sleep at all on that bed and had to change to a much smaller room to get a bed with a real mattress. So, we were 2 adults sleeping in a twin bed for the second night of our stay in a small room with no mini fridge either. The bathroom door to this room wouldn't latch because the door was warped. now for the free breakfast, two choices; fried eggs or noodles in a thin watery broth and toast. the restaurant wasn't open and there was no buffet breakfast or trays of fruit like what's portrayed on the website, worse hotel experience I've ever had.

- Barrettfloyd (4/5): Overall pretty bad - Room was not very clean. The hotel seems quite outdated and not well maintained. There literally was a dead gecko on top of my door, and from the looks of it it's been there for quite some time. Staff seemed very apathetic. "Breakfast" consisted of two fried eggs and three dry pieces of toast. Nothing to drink. When I asked for coffee the woman working there simply shook her head. Overall, a pretty bad experience. Do not stay here.

- Mehdi (9/5): Superb - Great value for money. Clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, bed sheets that smell good, clean bathroom, and well located (in the city center). I was doing a roadtrip by motorbike and this place was great to get some rest before hitting the road again. If you are staying short term in Son La, I highly recommend this place. Nothing.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - the hotel appears quite upmarket and the room is pleasant though the bed a little hard but no harder than average for Vietnam.The staff are very pleasant. The one complaint is about the included breakfast. It was merely two small slices of toast two pieces of butter a small helping of condensed milk,presumably to put on the toast, and a glass of water. Having sat and looked at it for ten minutes someone came and asked if I would like eggs with the bread so at least breakfast ended up being a bit more substantial and on the second morning the eggs came without having to ask and they were instead of the condensed milk. I think what surprised me most was the glass of water. Not even a tea or coffee. Not what I would have expected from an upmarket hotel.
