• PALOMA (5/5): Trop cher pour la qualité de la prestation - Plusieurs camping car on pu venir utiliser les cuisines et la salle à manger. Ils ont pris toute la place, ils ont pris toute la vaisselle, ils sont restés très longtemps à tables en étant très bruyant et nous ont empêché l’accès aux cuisines assez longtemps.

• Rhiannon (8/5): Great share kitchen, functional otherwise and pretty expensive for what you get - The location was lovely (close to everything) and the kitchen has super well stocked (commercial kitchen) with a big shared eating area that was filled with people hanging out, playing cards, etc. the staff was friendly and helpful. Expensive for what you get for sure.

• Henklt01 (9/5): A cozy, quiet stay. - This place made for a nice stay in Myvatn right next to everything. Clean facilities and a well-equipped kitchen. I saw the northern lights, though the KP was low. I should have read the booking more closely. I had to pay extra for linens. Still a great deal!

• MªCarmen (5/5): Camas cómodas pero servicios mejorables - Las camas son muy cómodas. La cocina y cuartos de baño estaban limpios. Las habitaciones para 4 se quedan totalmente minúsculas para llevar equipaje. Las duchas de los hombres estaban con las puertas rotas. En el baño de mujeres el agua olía y sabía a azufre (imposible lavarse los dientes). En nuestro caso por alquilar una habitación familiar estaba incluido, pero avisamos de que para dormir con almohada y un nórdico tendréis que pagar un extra. Al igual que en toda Islandia, aunque yo lo sigo dejando como algo negativo, el check in es demasiado tarde.

• Luigi (10/5): Ottimo soggiorno - Posto molto bello e in posizione strategica, ottimo per avvistare l’autore boreale, spazi comuni puliti e bagni puliti. Struttura molto calda e accogliente, prezzi in linea con la costosa Islanda. Ho avuto la fortuna di aver prenotato l’ostello e di essere capitato da solo in stanza.

• Michele (9/5): - Hlid Hostel è collocato in una posizione strategicamente perfetta ed è davvero ben organizzato Usare acqua geotermale per la doccia può anche andar bene ma doverla usare anche per lavare piatti e stoviglie (a meno che non si voglia utilizzare acqua fredda) non mi sembra un punto a favore.

• Stefanie (8/5): - Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und auch gut ausgestattet. Es ist alles wie beschrieben, man kann mit einem Schlafsack dort gut schlafen. Die Küche ist ebenfalls gut ausgestattet und es gibt einen schönen Aufenthaltsraum, der nicht direkt neben dem Zimmer liegt. Die Lage ist natürlich top :) Leider war am Tag meiner Übernachtung der gesamte linke Flur mit Italienern gebucht, die nachts spät ins Bett gingen und morgen früh aufstanden. Sie unterhielten sich dabei aber so, als hätten sie die Unterkunft für sich gemietet und sangen, scherzte und lachten in den Fluren und Zimmern. 5 1/2 Stunden Schlaf sind mir einfach zu wenig 😴 es wäre schön, wenn jemand da wäre, der die Ruhezeiten ab 22 Uhr kurz abprüft.

• Rainer (7/5): Eine saubere Unterkunft mit guter Koch und Aufenthaltsgelegenheit - Die Unterkunft war gut, es gibt eine gut ausgestattete Küche, saubere Bäder/WC. Mein vierer Zimmer war zum Glück nur 50% belegt. Ein klareren Hinweis dass die Rezeption nicht am Haus sondern am campground ist (vielleicht habe ich es übersehen)

• Barak (3/5): - For a camping site the facilities are nice. It's not a bad place, and if you are looking for camping style accommodation it is even quite nice. But the value for money is the worst we have encountered not only in Iceland but anywhere in the world! You get a bare-bones room that is not much bigger than a closet, with 2 bunk beds, and for that, you pay over 300 USD a night!!

The directions should be to the reception not the actual building you stay in. We weren’t the only ones confused as to where to get the key. Rooms were hot. • Martina (7/5): - Gut ausgerüstete Gemeinschaftsküche mit schönem Essbereich, saubere Duschen, sehr freundliche Rezeptions-Mitarbeiterinnen, bequeme Matratzen. Günstig, schön gelegen so nah am Mývatn-See. Einfach ausgestattete Zimmer mit Regalen, Kleiderhaken und Hockern. Es war sehr hellhörig und zugig im Haus. Der Wind hat immer an den Zimmertüren gerüttelt, was so klang als wolle jemand ins Zimmer einbrechen. Bis ich das dem Wind zugeordnet habe, war ich etwas in Sorge. Das hat mich dann leider auch öfters geweckt. Die Toiletten könnten mal ein Update vertragen. Waren sauber und in Ordnung aber etwas "ältlich" 😊

• Claudio (1/5): Notte disastrosa a Hild Hostel - L’unica nota positiva è il luogo, il lago Mývatn è un bel posto La struttura si presenta da un punto di vista estetico piuttosto decadente, ma dal mio punto di vista le problematiche più gravi sono state: 1) la camera era letteralmente un forno, nonostante la finestra aperta a vasistas per tutta la notte, è stato quasi impossibile dormire 2) la struttura dispone di 2 WC uomini + 2 WC donne. La struttura ospitava circa circa 40 persone, per cui 1 WC ogni 10 persone se uomini e donne in uguale numero. Al mattino nell’ora di punta è stato necessario fare la fila per utilizzare il bagno per i necessari bisogni fisiologici, col serio rischio di dover andare all’aria aperta. avevo prenotato 2 notti, ma dopo la prima notte così negativa, ho deciso di disdire la seconda, chiedendo rimborso su Booking e prenotando contestualmente un’altra struttura in altra località. Mi reco alla reception per consegnare le chiavi, spiegando la situazione alla giovane impiegata che mi dice che sono cose di cui si occupa il suo capo. Scrivo una mail, riepilogando i fatti, e la risposta del responsabile è stata letteralmente: “I’m really sorry to hear this, of course this kind of accommodation don't fit for everybody” Chiaramente nessun rimborso, ma il problema non ovviamente nella cifra economica di poco conto, ma più che altro nella completa mancanza di rispetto verso le esigenze di un cliente insoddisfatto, liquidato con una frase molto discutibile come quella riportata qua sopra. È ovvio che prenotando tale struttura non mi ricercassi una soluzione stellata, ma almeno di poter dormire ed avere accesso ai servizi di prima necessità.

Les groupes qui font la fête jusqu'à 1h du matin dans la salle de restauration et empêchent les autres de dormir même avec des boulles quies. Très mal insonorisé. On n’entend les pas dans le couloir. Cher pour la prestation

• Andrés (5/5): un horror por lo que pagamos - Lo único que me gusto fue la ubicación, esta muy bien situado para hacer la route one, ademas tiene bastantes atracciones a su alrededor Teníamos una habitación familiar para cuatro personas, el espacio era justo no entraban las maletas y no te podias mover. Nuestra habitación se encontraba al lado de la cocina y habia gente hasta altas horas de la noche cocinando, de sobremesa o jugando a juegos de mesa... al dia siguiente te despertaban los que madrugaban mucho. un horror....
