Guest Reviews
- Zuzana (8/5): Quiet place in nature, near the Park gate - Our stay was good. We were the only guests in the house (likely due to low season). The couple taking care of the place were very nice and welcoming, cooked meals for us and were very accomodating for our needs like timings for breakfast or picnic lunch. The place is outside the national park, but within 10 minutes drive from the gate. It's in rural area, pretty much in the middle of nowhere - we found it very relaxing.
Overall, considering other options near Masai Mara park, this is a good value for money.
The rooms are OK; showers had hot water even though not a lot of water pressure.
- Maia (8/5): Good hotel - Good hotel
- Glen (10/5): Great place to stay for a Masai Mara visit - This place was excellent. So nice to meet Dolerance and her sister, and helpers. Set on the side of a wide valley with a great view out to Masai bomas, a comfy lounge to sit out the front and relax, and a very welcoming Masai touch. The food was surprisingly good, excellent in fact, with the chef doing his thing in the open kitchen. our family room was separate to the main building. It was spacious and clean. Dolerance tried her best to make you feel at home, including arranging safaris etc into the Mara, if needed. It will be the place we stay next time we visit. Thoroughly recommend.
- Diane (10/5): - We had a wonderful experience at the guest house. It is small - 3 rooms in the main house and another larger single room in a separate building. We booked all the rooms and had the place to ourselves. They were very clean and comfortable. The owner went out of her way to make us comfortable and arranged a safari tour for us which was terrific. The on-site food was excellent and ready according to our schedule. It is a little off the beaten path which suited us well. I would recommend it to anyone who wants excellent value and a quiet serene place to stay. Added bonus - a family of giraffes browsed by our window the first morning of our stay.
