Si vous avez décider de ne pas passer vos journées à l’hôtel, vous pouvez y séjourner pour dormir avec un rapport qualité/prix excellent. Je recommande cette petite adresse.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice staff and hostel, use whatsapp - The hostel was clean and felt fresh. The staff was super friendly and really sweet. One problem was the communication before the trip, it took long for them to answer on the hotels app and email. However, they did answer pretty quick on whatsapp, so would definitely recommend whatsapp.

• Sonia (8/5): - Wonderful stay at the Hostal😊! Staff are warm and friendly and location is a minute away from the Tube station, so well connected. The Hostal is facing a busy street, so very safe even at night, however it gets noisy with people walking and talking on the roads throughout the night. The rooms are clean and air conditioning works well, bathrooms are spacious and room service is available. The only problem we had was two 300ml bottles provided for our 3 night stay. There is a water dispenser in the common area, but only for immediate consumption, we cannot refill our bottles when we head out to explore Barcelona. Overall a great stay at a decent price!!

Walking distance to most sightseeing spots in the city, affordable restaurants around. Metro station was close too. The room was very basic, the front desk too. Room gave impression of being 30 years behind today. No elevator might be good to know. :)

• Ana Uribe (8/5): - We stayed for three nights at the hostal and overall we had a great time. It is located in a busy avenue, so yes it can be a little noisy. But I am a light sleeper and can assure you that I slept comfortably without any issues. If you are a light sleeper some ear plugs could help. The place was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful and provided good recommendations. Would stay again when visiting Barcelona again.

• D4890GJjohnc (6/5): Never again - The fact it is close to Poble Sec metro is a plus point. Having to lift a heavy bag up to first floor was not. There is no lift. I paid sales/City tax when I checked in. I was later told I had only paid for one person ( I had my son with me) I argued the point but with my limited Spanish and his limited English , it was a struggle. He got someone on the phone who demanded I pay 20 Euros now. I offered to sort it out following morning, but he kept demanding. This was 1030 at night after a day of travelling. So I threw the money down and went to bed. Room overlooked main street so was quite noisy and the curtain didn't do a good job with the light. I didn't mention the 20 euros as same man on reception when I went out. When I got back there was a lady. She called me over and gave me 20 euros and an apology The WiFi was good. There is a supermarket next door with poor reviews, so I gave that a miss. Round the corner is Jespac supermarket which looks small but is quite big inside. Would I stay at this place again? No chance !
• Jacqueline (8/5): - Overall, good stay for 3 people. Very close to metro, and walking distance to many sights. Can store luggage at the reception, however reception staff do not speak English. Hot water was very inconsistent which meant we could not have a warm shower. Also the drain was partially blocked so the shower would flood unless the water pressure was very low. Room was noisy throughout stay, with noise coming from upstairs.

Le personnel est très gentil, toujours un beau sourire et sont serviable. La chambre est petite et désuète. La douche coule dans la salle de bain et le lit est comme une roche mais c’était très propre et pour le prix c’était correct considérant que c’était pour 2 nuits seulement.

Booked via hotel.com since January, the property cancelled the accommodation the day before I fly. Clearly overbooked as no rational reason for the cancellation. I'd advice to avoid to not get stressed.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap and clean room - The room was small but very clean! Shower was hot and strong enough. Good place to visit sightseeing spots. Very reasonable price. Maybe minimum price for one room hostel in Barcelona. Negative points: the wall between next room was very thin. You can hear voices from next room. There was a strong smell of chlorine from the disinfection to prevent covid at the first day of my stay.
• KUNAL (10/5): AMAZING STAY IN BUDGET - Great location, pocket friendly stay with supermarket just below the stay. The receptionist was really helpful even though she could not speak english fluent, she always found an amazing way to communicate with us. We had a train at 10 PM and checkout was 12 noon, they also allowed us to keep our luggage for free.

Its a very central location, right by tube and bus stop, which really is the only justification for the relatively high price. Staff were friendly and welcoming to us.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - A hidden hotel, almost hard to find, but extremely well located a few steps away from a subway station that connects easily to anywhere in Barcelona. But as a consequence it is located on a busy street on the first (second for north americans) floor and as a consequence is quite noisy all night, forget sleeping with an open window, even when the air conditionning refuse to work and nobody at the reception can figure out how to make it work. A small common area is provided with some snacking options, but you have a choice of multiple delicious bakeries and cofee shops just outside, so why bother. The room (the exact same one as the picture) was clean, with a nice size bathroom, but not much space in the room itself. The bedding is extremely firm, and tranfer movement easily from one side of the bed to the other. Air conditionning, when working, is helpful to sleep during Barcelona nights. Be sure that you have the remote control when moving in. All that said the staff was always very helpful and we always managed to communicate in spite of their limited english, and my own limited spanish and absent catalan.

Also, it's much more quiet than say the goth village and the noisy narrow passes, restaurants and pubs of the custom nightlife

• 701mats_ (2/5): Dreadful!! - The nice girl in the ”reception” is not to blame for anything in this review. Actually, me and my daughter felt sorry for her, has she had the unpleasant position to give this awful dump a face. We went for a weekend trip visiting my oldest daughter who lives in Barcelona. I choosed the hostel because it’s centrally located and we just needed a place for two nights sleep. That was a terrible mistake.... The rooms are just horrible, with outdated furniture and beds that should rise complaints from a soldier in field. The AC is probably from the early 80:s and the smell... I suppose, as it’s a wellknown problem i the damp and warm city of Barcelona, that the rooms are heavily under attack by black mold; hence the awful smell of cheap perfume in the room. Actually, I found out, was the smell coming from the AC so they had probably installed some chemical agent in the AC to cover up from the smell of black mold. I guess it’s damaging for your health to stay there. After 20 minutes I found a free room at a very good hotel in the neigbourhood. Whatever U do when going to Barcelona: never book a room at this dreadful so called Hostel!! But don’t blame the nice girl in the reception. She’s only doing her job...
