Emilio Vaca (3/5): Falta de profesionalidad y pésimo servicio - Lo peor de nuestra estancia fue, sin duda, la atención del hotel. En nuestro baño había una fuga de agua desde la ducha que inundaba el suelo cada vez que alguien se duchaba. Cuando lo reportamos, la respuesta del personal fue que “eso no era posible”, sin ni siquiera molestarse en ir a revisar la habitación. El problema continuó y, al pedir toallas extra para poder secar el agua, nos las negaron. Increíble en un hotel de este precio. Para rematar, mi padre solicitó en recepción una simple bolsa para guardar ropa mojada tras las excursiones, y la respuesta fue grosera e inaceptable: “Aquí no damos eso, vaya a una tienda a ver si allí se la venden”. Un hotel que cobra tarifas elevadas no puede permitirse dar un servicio tan pésimo ni tratar así a sus huéspedes. La experiencia fue frustrante y decepcionante. En la isla hay opciones mucho mejores: aquí no volveremos jamás.

Toxpekon (7/5): Estada correcte - La ubicació perfecte, a prop de la zona del moll però sense estar en el bullici dels restaurants i tour operadors. L'habitació era molt gran, potser per mi sol era massa gran. El llit era molt còmode i estava tot molt net. L'esmorzar cada dia variaven alguna cosa però estava bo, per mi potser una mica escàs, però molt correcte. La lluminositat de l'habitació quan era de dia feia que al matí entrés molta llum per el vidre de la porta, fet que no es podia baixar la cortina per a tapar-ho i donava la sensació de poca privacitat ja que tot i ser un vidre difuminós/granulat el moviment de dins/fora es veia. Per mi hagués hagut alguna manera de poder-ho tapar mentre fossis dins l'habitació i també per a què no entrés la llum de fora. La distribución de l'habitació al ser de 3 llits l'hagués cuidat una mica més, Hauria tret un llit i hagués aprofitat l'habitació amb algun sofa o zona de descans. El lavabo es veia molt antic, però almenys net. La carxofa de la dutxa demanava a crits una neteja/renovació ja que estava molt malmesa per la cal, i si és un hotel 4* no pots tenir la tubería com estava. S'han de cuidar els petits detalls.

Wendy (6/5): - Mi estadía estuvo bien. Mi habitación era la más cara y tenía mucho espacio. La gente en recepción se portó amable lo cual fue agradable pero el personal de la cocina no lo fue tanto. La comida del desayuno es por ración y cuando pedí algo extra para mi hijo de 10 años, me lo negaron. No proporcionan toalla para llevar a la playa y cuesta $3 dólares alquilar una por día. El hotel tiene un buen potencial pero mientras no cambien sus políticas para hacer sentir a sus huéspedes que el cliente tiene que ser tratado con excelencia en todo momento.. no atraerá la cantidad de turistas que podría conseguir.

Verified traveler (8/5): - I was worried when I was reading other reviews but it was last minute trip and there weren't many choices, we stayed in 3 different hotels in Gallapagos and this was the best one. There is still some construction going on but it didn't bother us, breakfasts was sufficient, no issues with hot water. Only reason why I didn't rate 5 stars was that toilet wasn't flushed when we checked in which made me question cleaning procedures.
Yixin (1/5): Charge you hidden penalty and not considerate at all. Avoid it. - Location is okay The hotel charged me $35 USD for being check-out half hour late. The checkout time is 9:30am (which is very different from that in US, typically 11am). The penalty is not stated anywhere beforehand. Also there was a heavy rain in that morning when nobody can really leave the hotel. The front desk refused to waive the fine firmly, even given the weather situation. (Given that, we decided to stay a bit longer for another two hours as the hotel would charge us any way). The condition of the facility doesn't worth the prices (~$330 for two nights).
Peter (1/5): Never again - The door was closed at night and I couldn't get into the hotel. They didn't care about that and I didn't get a refund or anything.
Alicia (9/5): Property is in a great location, clean rooms and pool. Could be more modern/upgraded, but overall very good stay. - The property is a great location, easy walk to town. The pool was clean and never crowded. The staff was helpful, they arranged a taxi for us from the airport. Having basic Spanish is helpful when speaking with the staff. Air conditioning works well in rooms, rooms were cleaned every day. The rooms could be more updated, but they are currently doing renovations in some rooms to address this. A hair dryer in the room would be helpful. This is good for basic accommodations, if you are looking for something fancy this is not the place but it was good for what we were expecting while staying in Ecuador.

Paulb (3/5): Poor in reality - Avoid until it is improved - Looked good on Booking,com. Room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay. The lady when on reception was pleasant. There was no drinking water available on site between midnight and 5 pm one day ie 17 hours although the receptionist who came on at 8am said I could buy 500ml for $1. On another day there was none for another period of 12 hours. No fridge in the room. Advertised as garden view view of adjacent buildings. If they mean from the fixed curtained windows adjacent to the door it was not a view. To get from room 26 to breakfast or drinking water you have to walk the length of the hotel three times. Only one staircase to floor three. No fire instructions. If you have trouble with steps avoid. If you are disturbed by cockerels avoid room 22. It is not the hotel's fault but they start at 4am. If there was a category to rate for Safety it would have been sad face. I recommend everyone avoid until they put in another exit route from the third floor (spiral staircase?) and ensure that drinking water is always available (two dispensers one on third floor?). Building work was being carried out on several rooms while I stayed so day time noise from power tools was a special extra.

Breakfast changed each day with hot main course, fresh fruit and juice mix. Helpful reception staff. Access is via stairs n glass walkway which not conducive to heavy luggage n very slippery when wet. Lacked clothes rack or line fir drying wet bathers, towels etc

We were a family of 4 and stayed in their 1 bedroom apartment. I did not notice any construction taking place, maybe its all done. And their was no shortage of hot water for a family of 4. The location was great too, its a 5 min walk to the pier.

Free WIFI. 1) Water took about 15 minutes before it warms up to take a shower. 2) Unflexible check out time. 3) Office locked and unmanned at random hours so unable to obtain keys to get into room during the day. 4) When asked to swap a dirty towel for a clean one, person at counter was argumentative insisting there are 2 clean towels in the room whereas there's only one.

I had to pay whatever they asked or they won't give me a room. Hot tub is not hot. I ask for an extra towel an extra blanket and of course they didn't have it. And the front desk lady said "in 10 years no one have ever ask them for an extra blanket" All the rooms are facing a social area which is very loud. One night we couldn't sleep any longer that 6.20am because you can here people chatting in the breakfast area. Don't get fool by the nice pictures.

The pictures may seem decent but the customer service we received was terrible. The lady at front desk (owner) was unprofessional, she had an attitude and charged us $25 for a towel we never took. On the other hand, the cleaning staff took a towel that belonged to us and we had to wait two days for them return it. We felt uncomfortable in the facilities not only for the terrible customer care but mostly due to the poor cleanliness of the rooms and common areas such as the pools, the dinning area and the social area. The room we stayed in was filthy, with stained carpets/mats and dirty linens. The bed sheets and pillows smelled really bad. The bathrooms towels and floor mats were old and stinky too. The bathtub had humidity stains all around it. You can actually see the fungus/mold all over it. The dining experience was terrible as well. Breakfast is included but it is not worth it at all, unless you want to have hotdogs in ketchup sauce for breakfast. The fruits, coffee and butter with jelly did not taste fresh. The pool was freezing cold and they never turned on the whirlpool. We were told that we had to let them know two hours ahead for they to turn it on and when we did ask for it, they said they only keep it on until 5pm very day. So we never got to use it. Totally ridiculous!

The office was closed a little too early to be as helpful as I would prefer, but that was ok. The location was very walkable to the ferries, restaurants, tours, etc. Longer office hours.

zhao (6/5): - I normally don’t write reviews but now I feel propelled to say something. This hotel appears nice and clean. It is right at the city center. However the staff is not friendly. The girl who worked on the weekend could care less about what you need. When I wanted to leave the key there when I was going for a swim, she refused to take my room key in the reception. When I have WiFi problem in my room, she says it works on her phone and nobody had complained except me therefore she refused to help. The kitchen staff would not serve me when I told them I’m in a hurry to go to a morning program. They would serve everyone else first even though I was the first to arrive the kitchen.

Aleks (6/5): - We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The room we had was very large with a separate bedroom which was nice. There was a tv in the bedroom but not in the main room which was strange. Our bedroom faced the street and the streetlight cast a lot of light into our room. The curtains are not adequate to darken the room. Breakfasts were minimal and the same day after day. Small bowl of fruit, an egg, piece of meat and cheese. Bun was sometimes fresh. The pool is nice- the hot tub is not hot and the jets didn’t work. Hotel has a good location-very walkable to restaurants etc. There is an amphitheatre across the street where events were held almost nightly-very loud and went on until 2 am at times so sleep was difficult. Single pane windows made it seem like there were no windows at all for sound. Staff was hit and miss. Housekeepers were friendly. Breakfast staff were mostly ok but got the feeling from some that we were a nuisance. The front desk attendant that was there mostly in the afternoons was not pleasant and helpful. When asked for towels, I was told right away and it took over an hour. When I asked for toilet paper I was told maybe tomorrow, as I hadn’t actually run out. I did run out and took the empty roll down-she told me maybe tomorrow. I let her know that was not good enough. She said someone was out buying it and there was none left in the hotel because other guests had asked for it. Anyhow she did end up procuring a roll and delivering it to the room.

Hiszpan2007 (8/5): Very good - Very clean and modern hotel in city centre. Walking distance from the airport however taxi cost only 2usd. Room very spacious with comfortable bed. All amenities present. Simple breakfast included. Nice pool and jacuzzi available. Very early checkout time - 9.30am and staff didnt agree to extend as we had flight at noon.

Vicki (8/5): Relaxing stay for great value - Garden & outdoor seating area, pool, cold drinks on site, small intimate setting and a good value in a great location. Room size, and shower size. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No frig in room, no heated water in room, no heated hot tub or pool. Dirty hand rails.
Richard (3/5): Good location but I wouldn't advise staying there - The staff at breakfast tried to help us when we had an early tour booked but the breakfast itself was no choice and very similar each day The receptionist was rude. There was no water in the rooms and the central place to fill bottles ran out of water at 11:30pm one night and wasn't replaced until 7:30am. the following morning. This meant that the guests had no access to drinkable water all night. I booked a Junior Suite which according to the description had a separate living room and bedroom. We were given a king room (based on the description) but when raised they claimed the listing on booking.com was wrong.

David (7/5): Good - Very spacious rooms, big comfy beds but not as luxurious as some of the other places we stayed that were similarly priced. Delicious breakfast. Not as luxurious as some of the other places we stayed on Galapagos which were similarly priced. There was no safe in the room or available elsewhere, we thought there would be as a safety deposit box was mentioned as a facility. Probably would have stayed elsewhere if we had realised as at the start of our trip we did have quite a bit of cash.

Harry (6/5): Average - Not a bad hotel. Very nice spacious rooms. The breakfast was so stingy. Very small omlete, very very small side of fruit and yoghurt. And when I asked for more, they gave me a tiny bit of bread. Really terrible when you pay that much to stay somewhere. Also I was woken up one morning by very loud noises. I thought it was kids playing in the pool. I went down and found it was the hotel staff talking and laughing raelly loudy. Really not good.

Laura (2/5): STAY AWAY!!, worst hotel and staff in the Galapagos - the size of the room the staff was extremely rude. the first day a curtain felt, so we called the hotel maintenance. they answered after 10 calls and basically yelled at me saying it was my fault, that I had destroyed their property (2 more curtains were barely hanging on due to poor installation so we did not touch any of them in the whole stay) Also the pool was under maintenance all the time on top of that there were termites in the night stands and the AC was so old it was not able to provide cold air. Also the window in the bad room has gigantic wholes around, so there is no way of keeping mosquitos out. For a perfect end, they tried to charge us more that said in the booking.

The bed was comfortable. Nice area to sit with a table. Very clean with a friendly staff. Close to restaurants and bars. WiFi was very slow, it’s slow all over the island.

Nice breakfast There was only one access point to the upstairs rooms which was across a glass bottomed bridge! Would have loved ceiling fans so we didn’t have to use the air conditioner.
Melissa (8/5): Very good - The room was huge and it had a good size bathroom. We had a room on the first floor and it was very easy to get to. The pool area was nice and had some loungers. A simple yet good breakfast was included in our rate. The only thing that struck me odd was that the closet was in the bathroom. Normal that would be ok but if it is hot and humid none of your clothes dry and even the dry ones can become a little damp. We ended up just leaving our luggage on the desk in the main room.

Daniel (2/5): Avoid - It is centrally located. Bed and bedding are nice. The rooms have new blinds. One star for the rude, grumpy owner. Need something - the answer is always ‘no’. A knife and plate to cut fruit - ‘we are not a restaurant’. Towels for the beach or pool - ‘forget about it’. Change room - ‘we are full and no other room will ever be available’. Late check-out - ‘leave latest 9.30 am’. If the absolute lack of customer service doesn’t put you off here are a few more things: The rooms are noisy - if you unlucky like us, at 7 am you think you are sleeping in the middle of a busy airport cafeteria as the breakfast for all is served right outside some rooms and the walls are thin like paper. Bathrooms are tired, moldy and old. Rooms have no windows just a door and florescent lighting. Also I have never eaten a more cheap breakfast. And finding somebody after 7.30 pm at night or some other random times of the day- sorry reception is closed there is a local number that worka if you are lucky to have a local phone.
Tim (3/5): Better value for money else where - Good location Noise levels were crazy from the NYE stage thst was opposite the room - we didn’t understand why they hadn’t put us in a room at the other side of the hotel as the music was super loud until 6am & we had to be up at 6:30am. We obviously wanted to celebrate NY too & weren’t expecting silence, but it was another level. Hairs in the bed, it had been given a bit of a clean but not to a high standard, probably the least friendly/helpful place we’ve stayed during our time in South America (one guy working reception on NYD was actually really friendly and helpful though) Overall, if it had just been one thing then we wouldn’t have been that bothered, but paying over $100 per night for somewhere that isn’t friendly, clean or able to sleep isn’t the one for us.
Anonymous (8/5): great room, pool looked nice, staff need to be better - great location, on the main road but far enough you didn’t hear the noise. beautiful huge room and bathroom, comfortable bed, very clean staff were rarely in the office or available, wouldn’t provide extra pillows, didn’t have towels for use outside the hotel, didn’t give us a hand towel our last two days, wouldn’t let us check out an hour later because our flight left later, even though check out was 930 and check in wasn’t until 12, allowing. plenty of time to clean our room if we checked out at 1030

Alejandro (5/5): not sure I would chose this property again - it was not too offensive with décor staff did not turn on the jacuzzi for us when we requested, so we decided to go out for a quick bite while waiting for the jacuzzi to heat up- when we returned a couple was making an intimate video in the jacuzzi- I guess this is the type of hotel it is.
