- Maria (8/5): Perfect location - Location was perfect. Staff was friendly. Property was clean. I wish the rooms had a fridge.
- John (10/5): -
- Josh (8/5): -
- Ted (10/5): - I love PIB!! Great staff !!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mixed Results - Property is older. Location is excellent no car or golf cart needed. Sink did not drain they tried to fix it and offered another room but we choose to say. Night club is loud and their customers can easily access the hotel hallways so not very safe
- Nagle (8/5): -
- Stacey Lynne (8/5): - Def gave us a spot to sleep for the night. Motel style room, but super convenient to downtown and the pool bar!
- Ronald (10/5): - Gre8
- Darlene (3/5): -
- Misti (10/5): - I've stayed at other nearby hotels and this was a pleasant change. Quieter hallways, convenient location, easy parking for guests only. Rooms do not have microwaves or fridges though. Would definitely stay here again.
- Dawna (9/5): Great price. Great location - Close to everything. Pool closes to early.
- Demetrius (10/5): - The whole experience was great…..

- Jennifer (10/5): - Stayed here for a girls trip thought it was very clean and a great location. Good vibes I would recommend.
- Vanessa (4/5): - When we arrived the elevator was broken. We asked the manager about it and she told us we had to carry all of our left age up the stairs and did not offer any sort of assistance. Then we get to our floor and there’s a big sign that the ice machine was broken. Finally we arrived at our rooms (we had a total of 3 rooms booked). It was about 85 degrees out and the air conditioning units were turned completely off in all 3 rooms.
- Eberhard (6/5): Weekend getaway - Centrally located in downtown and the pool. Elevator to our second level room was out of order, so was inconvenience to use the stairs, especially to carry our things up & down. Also the ice machine on second level was out of order, so had to go down the stairs to get ice.
- William (2/5): - The beds are terribly soft, unsleepable, they charge a $200.00 deposit upon arrival, with 10 to 14 day before return.
They did not tidy up the room and supply clean towels the nest day. We left before staying the second night, they would not refund our second night but the condition of the room and crappy TV we felt like we were in a third world country. DO NOT STAY HERE, !!!!!!!
- Makala (6/5): - Pool
Didn’t even get opened while we were there but the sign said open till dusk
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brianne (8/5): - Property is dated but clean. Beds are super comfy so that is a huge win for me!
- Tomas (5/5): Never stay complete let down - Front porch No security door no staff no microwave no fridge very cold
- Korey (7/5): Good -
- K (7/5): Won't stay there again - Location No microwave, no fridge, no breakfast overpriced vending
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (5/5): Passable - Location was descent.
Swim up bar was a plus. The hotel was very musty smelling. There was no microwave or refrigerator. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. This was my first stay in PIB. I guess I had bigger expectations. For the price I was expecting 5 Star and got 2 Star at best.
- Andrew (1/5): disappointed - Our air conditioner dis not work like it should of and the put us in the closest room to the club and was loud at night. no fridge in the room either new air conditioner not by the club and a fridge
- Dustin (6/5): - The room was clean but the entire hotel has a musty mildew smell. Also, drunk men in the hallways harassing you anytime you step out of your room. But that can happen anywhere. When you go to the pool there’s no towels, so you have to bring them from your own room which is annoying. But, it is a cool pool area and the location is great for walking to pretty much anywhere. I love that Level 2 is attached, it made going out in the evening really easy.
- Chris (8/5): Great customer service tried to accommodate our requests. - Location is very convenient to the island main strip. The room did not have a refrigerator.
- Ronniesha (10/5): Exceptional -
- chad (4/5): - Was very warm and humid, with several lights nonfunctional and flickering
- Vacations (4/5): Disappointing -
- Robert (10/5): Exactly What We Were Looking For - This was my first time I experienced Put-In-Bay and the only place to experience it is The Grand Islander. We will be going back there again next year for our annual guy's trip. The women working the front desk were amazing, the manager was amazing, and the bartenders at Splash were amazing. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No in-room refrigerator, no ice machine in the hall, they do not permit coolers in rooms. Other places have more for less.
- Kyle (4/5): Disappointing -
- Shay (2/5): Will never stay again - Location Super dirty the sheets were dirty. Shower backed up with water, blocked off parking during the weekend now convenient way to get in the room. No microwave. Ac didn’t work well.
- Seifert (10/5): Amazing. - Everything. Nothing.
- Angelica (9/5): Superb - The location and staff
- Sarah (10/5): - Wonderful
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Trevor (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zack (1/5): Bugs in our bed - Checked in around 3:00 P.M. and headed out to see the island. After a day of being out on the island we got to our room to find bugs crawling in our bed. The front desk moved us to another room. The manager checked the room the next day and said she seen nothing. We took pictures of the bugs to show her. (These were not mayflys small brown and black critters) The manager said we don't have bedbugs here and got angry at me for saying there were bugs. 0 / 10 would not recommend
- Ellen (4/5): My stay was ok for the 2days - The location was great, the staff was nice, the bed was comfortable the pool area was great, the club area was nice The hallways smelled like a moldy smell, the hallways of the building there was no air conditioning at all,the tv channels were hard to change to, there was no small frigerator so you could hold food or keep cold drinks, the price for the room was overpriced for what was wrong with the hotel
- Deborah (10/5): Great location, friendly staff - Location was great, short walk to everything in town. Room was very clean and beds comfortable.
- Ravikiran (7/5): Good -
- Acevedo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robert (8/5): Grand islander - Really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds and a clean room. I just really wish our room would have had a mini fridge, it would have made our stay much more enjoyable.
- Kim (8/5): Very good - The location and staff were great! No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. If you have leftovers from meals, there is nowhere to store them. No coolers are allowed in rooms. There is no place to keep drinks cold in your room.
- Benjamin (9/5): A pleasant place to stay, good value. Would definitely stay there again. - The room was VERY neat and clean, and the furnishings were attractive and more like 'home' than "hotel". The location is close to town, making walking to attractions easy. Staff was pleasant and friendly. The beds are too soft!
- Nathan (5/5): Passable -
- Martha (10/5): - Location
- John (6/5): - Told I could check in early but once arrived had to wait 4 hrs
- Kerfoot (5/5): Passable - location and the comfort of the beds. Pablo the pube, pool was not open as i was told it would be, staff leaves early and comes in late.
- Chris (9/5): We had fun in Put in Bay and had a restful night! - The room was clean and fresh. Didn't spend much time in the room. Staff was friendly and very helpful Not Having a refrigerator.
- Shell (1/5): Bad - Comfort For 2 nights at $662 no continental breakfast, no fridge no microwave no iron, not even a damn phone. Will not book this hotel ever again!
- Erica (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay only negative was there was no bar fridge or microwave in the room and we could have used both. Otherwise it was fine.
- John (10/5): - Pool was awesome, location was great to all bars
- Melissa (6/5): - The hotel was a bit old n nothing like ni fridge no microwave no phone.....but it's right down town n on the weekends has a night club
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Joshua (10/5): - Would definitely recommend this place
- Carolyn (2/5): - My husband & I booked a Queen room and received a double. Elevator didn’t work and stairwell smelled of urine. All three front desk staff over our stay were rude. We travel a lot and this may be our worst experience ever .
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Hotel was fine. No issues. Would star there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): The Riot House - The Hotel is pretty much a dorm, with it being attached directly to Level 2, the only true “nightclub” in Town. The rooms are much closer to a roadside motel than a city Hotel. But look, come to Put In Bay for the party and not the hotel stay. The hotel is right dab in the middle of the party so we expected lots of noise and shenanigans. There were a few arrests right outside of our first floor window and a few fights after hours when people just couldn’t handle their alcohol. But you’re a short walk to everything on the island. Check in was quick. Rooms were clean enough.
- Joanne (6/5): Pleasant - Access from parking lot to entrance was difficult for those of us with difficulty walking/climbing steps.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Andre (3/5): We enjoyed our visit to put-in-bay but we probably won't stay at the grand Islander. - The good thing(s) about the hotel were the location, pool with swim up bar, club upstairs(closed during the week) and the pizza shop connected to the hotel. Staff was not help AT ALL. No room service, you have to get your own towels and rags, no microwave, no mini fridge, beds were not comfortable AT ALL, no working wifi, there is a $100usd hold PER BED that isn't disclosed until you arrive at the hotel. No breakfast served.
- Richard (2/5): Love the island, hated the over-priced hotel. - the front desk staff were very polite and helpful. No refrigerator, no microwave, never saw a maid, the ice-machine was broken all 3 days of our stay. Had to step over vomit in the hallway.
- Sarann (5/5): Room was old but ok - but the smell in the hall & elevator was awful - They only had coffee for breakfast but it was good. The hallway & elevator smelled terrible
- Tim (6/5): - Naked people in the hallways and drunks everywhere. Loud music at the pool til late
- Caullette (6/5): - Dirty , dusty, dark. Way overpriced
- Anonymous (6/5): Great location to stay if you plan to be out on the island all day, and are just looking for a place go sleep and have e - Super convenient location, staff was very patient, had tons of bars all connected to the property for easy access. Building was a little worn, but that’s from all the drunken guests not being respectful of the property. Parking was a pain to find because of all the tourists also trying to park anywhere they could find.
- Lisa (7/5): Good -
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- Shawn (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Great location fun place to stay - Pool updated rooms The nightclub wasn’t open on a Tuesday
- Ryan (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (4/5): I’ll never stay at great islander again!!! - Close to everything How old it looked and smelled. Ac barely ran and 1st floor smelled moldy. The manager was really rude after I asked for a fridge I was told there are 3 fridges in the entire building and that I BBC couldn’t get one even know I requested one a month in advance. The workers act strange and are not friendly! BEWARE to spend lots of money and not be treated well
- Milagros (4/5): - No mini fridge, no microwave T.v signal problems. Front desk not helpful. Just replied with I don't know. Pool closes at 7
- Danielle (5/5): would’ve been perfect if not for the bed bugs. - - close to everything you could want to do, pool bar was awesome.
- sound proof rooms for the most part - have pictures of bed bugs in our bed after we shook our bedding out looking for our phone.
- no microwave or fridge.
- Kristin (10/5): Great stay, clean rooms, and great town! - Access to all activities in town N/A
- Emily (8/5): - Overall our stay was pretty good. Although the nightclub was on our floor, we couldn’t hear it from our room which was a plus. Everything was neat and clean. Good hotel to stay at if you want to party, but we basically just slept and left.
- Cody (4/5): Disappointing - The location was great, and friendly staff All you smelled the whole time was people smoking weed, and rooms could use a little TLC
- Gary (4/5): Hidden $200 pay-at-check-in fee. Gross rental. Broke out on my body from detergent on sheets. Sheets dirty too. - Not much but yhe general store is right next to it. Just about everything. Very gross. Dusty. Skin rashes all over my legs, arms and face. Broke out bad. Plus booking.com hide the $200 damage deposit from me. I have never had to pay so much. More money than the rental for the night. Didn't get my $200 back for serveral days.
- Sherry (10/5): - I liked the location and convenience of how close it was to everything
- Weldon (6/5): - The Resort Doesn’t Have A Refrigerator. As Far As U Know, They Don’t Provide Towels For The Pool!
The Code For The WiFi Didn’t Work.
The Employee And The Desk Said It Hadn’t Worked In A While!
A Very Convenient Location That Downtown.
But, If You Can Book Anything Else Do.
No Breakfast. Smell & Stains On Hallway Carpet.
Just Saying, Not What You Pay For! Go Elsewhere!
- Megan (7/5): Good - No mini fridge, ice machine didn't work and no drinks available in the vending machine.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was okay for a last minute trip. It smelled musty and the hallways smelled bad as well. Could be from the water tracked in from the pool though.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (10/5): - Very accommodating
- Deborah (10/5): Great location - Great location, we stayed during the week and got a great price. Room was very large with 2 queen beds.
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Rodman (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great, clean and friendly and management was excellent and so helpful and went out of their way
- Rodman (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great, clean and friendly and management was excellent and so helpful and went out of their way.
- Elizabeth (5/5): ok - had a bad smell kinda of like old wet carpet
- Michael (8/5): Fun weekend - Stay was fun. Room was good. A/C unit was a little loud and cut in and out and could use more towels, but overall was a good place.
- Anonymous (4/5): Do some deep cleaning and add refrigerators. - It was a really good location. for the amount of money you pay for these rooms I expected more. They don’t have refrigerators which should be standard by this day in age. the bed were ok they were old spring mattress’s but they were still decent, my problem with them is you could tell the sheets and pillow cases you could tell weren’t washed. I wanted to use the pool bar but when I walked out there and looked in the water that pool hasn’t been cleaned either it looked nasty.
