• Adrian (9/5): Good place and nice view - The host helped me with information and to book the Cotopaxi trip which is a must to do if you are in Quito. The room was very okband the view from rooftop amazing. Also I recommend Mitad del Mundo(with bus Anis Pan station), intinan museum and volcan pululahua. Unfortunately there were few guests and the rooftop wasn't open during night so I had to order something because of the fact that it's not safe to walk alone during the night in Quito. It was just a minor minus.

• Aixa (10/5): The staff, Esteban, Kellie, Maria, and Xavier, were wonderful. Everyone was helpful. Kellie helped me with carrying thin - It had an old charm to it. There was a weird smell at certain times of the day coming from outside of my window but other than that I enjoyed the property. If you have issues with stairs, probably not the best place as everything is up a couple of flights. The view from the top was AMAZING!!! It was beautiful during the day and night. If you have time, take one of their tours Just the weird smell that would come through my window at night. Nothing they could do about it. And the internet was a little unstable. Also, being charged for water. As a person that drink a fair amount of it, keeping change handy for water was eh.

La mujer era muy humilde y amable, me atendieron en todo momento con una sonrisa, y sobre todo el trato de Chuky y el excelente desayuno que nos ponía cada día. La verdad que le ponían muchas ganas a hacer las cosas bien. Creo que coincidí con el dueño en varios desayunos y fue super amable. Tuve conversaciones muy interesantes con todos ellos. La comodidad era bastante escasa. Me tocó una habitación sin luz natural, sin ventanas. Eso no era del todo un problema, el problema era que de 4 días, dos me tuve que duchar con agua fría. Tengo serias dudas de si repetiría, espero que mejoren la comodidad.
• Magdalena (9/5): Great! - Beside the amazing view and breakfast what makes this place special are the people working there. So helpful and extremely friendly! Whatever you need they will help out. If it’s late check in, a drive to the airport or a tour. They organized a pick up from the airport even a week later to drive us to Cotopaxi. We felt so good there. Our room had a window facing a wall. The bed is a bit small for tall Europeans.

• Isabella (8/5): Long hike, but worth it!! - I really love the privacy and comfort of these rooms. The bathroom always has nice hot water with strong water pressure. The breakfast is a really nice spread considering the price, and it's served with a fantastic panoramic view of Quito. The location is great as well. It's near the metro station with lots of fantastic restaurants nearby. Additionally, there are stores both big and small to grab anything you may need. The wifi didn't work as well as my previous stays. I was in a different location than normal, so your internet connection may depend on your room. My main complaint is in regards to the location. While it is a great location, it is very difficult to get to. The hotel is looked at the top of a hill with lots of stairs to climb. This may not be feasible for some people. If need be, you could hire a taxi to drive you up. The stairs are just a lot after a long day of traveling while carrying all of your luggage. Please take your physical state into account when booking.

• Karolina (9/5): Good value and comfy - Location was great, the terrace view was amazing, the free breakfast very delicious and the staff were lovely - the man who checked us in spoke no English but tried to chat anyways! The rooms were what you pay for, quite old the no frills, but you get plenty of blankets and the shower was hot and good pressure. The windows were not the best at filtering out the street noise, but we came so tired that we slept well anyways. Also the property is definitely rather old and budget but the price reflects that

• Hannah (8/5): Great value for money and great breakfast - The breakfast is fantastic and the terrace is beautiful. Bed was very comfortable. The family who run it are very friendly and helpful. The terrace wasn't open in the evenings but this is probably because the hotel was very quiet at that time.
• Douglas (10/5): Great place. - The staff are attentive to the guest´s needs for luggage storage, for taxi service, for a second cup of coffee, for help with directions in the area, for a listening ear to almost anything. It´s my favourite hotel in Quito. Well, the only way up to the higher floors is by stairway and this is tough with a heavy suitcase, especially at 2, 900 meters above sea level! But, c´est la vie, what do you expect?

The view from the terrace is spectacular, we would watch the sunset/thunderstorms from there every night. We went to the secret garden for a drink to see the difference, the view from here is 10x better! You do have to walk a fair few steps to get there, but the view makes it worth it. Nothing

It was very quiet until my final night when an extremely noisy group upstairs on the terrace kept me awake until 3 am.Only following my complaint did the management act and the noise stop.I think the hotel staff should have intervened much earlier.

• Annamarie (8/5): Quiet, clean spot with an amazing rooftop view! - The rooftop view is absolutely amazing! I loved having breakfast there. Also, I really enjoyed that there is a couch on the roof as well for some relaxed reading with a view. The rooms themselves are very simple. No fuss, but clean and have everything you need. The neighborhood is extremely quiet which made for some excellent sleep.

There are stains all over the wall, and I don’t think the bathroom had more than a rinse the last year.
• Mark (8/5): Probably one of the best views in Quito the evening or when having breakfast . - The most perfect view of Quito cathedral and the whole city and mountains from the roof top dining room. Only 15 minutes walk to the historic centre. The location is up a number of street steps which was fine for us and for anyone with reasonable fitness. The area is not the best but walk down the steps and you are onto the Main Street. It still seemed safe though even though it didn’t look too nice. Best to get an Uber into and back from the city after 6pm, which seems to apply to most of Quito at night.

Being here made it feel like I was living amongst locals. Plus it’s only a short walk away from the basilica and the old town. Finally, the rooftop dining room has a spectacular view!! I loved hanging out there on the couch after breakfast enjoying the views.
• Flormaria (10/5): Xavier was very attentive with any help he could give us, made us feel very comfortable. - Great views from the terrace, relaxed atmosphere with amazing staff.
• Gio (9/5): Esteban is a great host. He helped us with everything we needed. He is a great source of information and speaks good Eng - The view from the terrace. Security. Breakfast was good but could vary more from day to day.
• Lucie (7/5): Good - The terrace is very cool and the view is amazing! Very good and typical breakfast. Walking to the historical centre in 15min downhill, getting back up with stairs. Hot shower working good! Not the fault of the hostel, but it was very loud at night due to the pet dogs of the neighbors barking all night. Ecuador has thin windows in general, so bring earplugs and warm clothes!
