SmithFamily-lovelife (10/5): Pleasant surprise and a large apartment for a grown up family… - We wanted lots of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers as the Grand Hyatt hotel itself seemed to cramped in a room and we were not disappointed. The apartment had wonderful views of the khalifa and separate bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and washing room. It was so spacious and we had full use of the hotel pools and gyms and facilities except the water park which we thought was so overpriced for what it was. We stayed here as it was close to the airport for a late arrival and an early departure. The staff at front desk were lovely and the location was perfect with lots of hotel restaurants and nearby others including a bowling alley. Well worth the stay for a family who wants space but have the hotel feel
Resort85357 (10/5): Amazing views - This was perfect for our family of 5, 2 bed apartment, kitchen lounge 3 toilets/2 bathrooms, washing machine/dryer dishwasher. Bring some washing/dishwasher tabs from tabs from home. Full use of all the hotel, which has super easier access. I prefered this to the hotel, for the size of the apartment. Views amazing we had 1603 apartment. Lifts super quick no waiting. Average priced supermarket on sight but very small. Swimming pool is great, waterpark didn’t look up to much and we didn’t go as it was nearly the same price as Atlantis, which we did go to.

tinacC4802MT (4/5): Not good - Having stayed here many times before lockdown and loved the the place but how disappointed were we to find no mattresses on sun loungers unlike all the other 5 star hotels in Dubai. Soo much. Of the resort has been cut away to make room for a water park.I have never seen so many beds crammed together in any hotel in Dubai like they were here. We were eating lunch by the the bar where two boys were running around spitting in each others faces whilst the bar staff stood and watch !! Ask for a room without connecting doors as sound travels on our last night the arguments from the next room were horrendous . If your looking for a hotel in Dubai and won’t be using the water park I would avoid this one .

John (8/5): - This is our favourite place to stay in Dubai. The hotel Is lovely. The Residence (adjacent to the main hotel) is ideal for families. We had a two bedroom apartment which had loads of space for us. Kitchen was ideal and the washing/ drying facilities were really handy. Only negative was the Indian restaurant. The staff are friendly and the setting is great but the food was disappointing especially for the price. Apart from that it was, as usual, a great few days.

Paradise23328975607 (8/5): Great value - Generally good, especially for the price - particularly great to be able to use the facilities in the hotel: including an incredible choice of restaurants (see my reviews) as well as the pool & bar. Lobby beautifully decorated for Christmas. Book the buffet breakfast the previous night if you want it and it’s not in your rate as you’ll pay about half what you would on the day. As others have said, housekeeping is a bit hit and miss - had to ask for bowls, toilet paper, towels….little supermarket in reception is handy.
Scott (6/5): - We stayed in an apartment in the Residences complex. The apartments are very dated and under-equipped for a family. This is especially relevant to the kitchen, there were not even cereal bowls to have breakfast. The staff were amazing and the room was very clean. The main hotel looks superb so please be mindful of there being a difference.
Zain (10/5): - Nice spacious rooms. Front desk was very helpful. Services are really good. Close to the airport and other areas. The only complain I have is that they charge extra tourism tax on arrival outside of all the taxes and fees paid through Expedia.
GJN7 (8/5): Comfortable stay - Generally a comfortable stay. Spacious living area and bedrooms. Bathrooms are a bit old with showers over baths which fit elderly people is dangerous in terms of slipping and falling. Service of apartments is inconsistent and we had to constantly ask for towels and cleaning materials after servicing was finished. No cereal bowls provided, only small cups. No Mugs provided.
h (10/5): lovely hotel. - Great hotel. halfway between the airport and downtown. The residence part of the hotel is great value for money. Huge apartments which are cheaper than the rooms in the hotel. There are shops in the lobby for essentials. The only downside is that you cannot walk anywhere from the hotel. you need to drive out of it.

rubadubf (2/5): Worst stay I have experienced in my 15 years of living in the UAE - Arrived at this hotel late at night 4am to be precise, took the check in person around 45 mins to check us in. She was not at all welcoming nor was she helpful at all. After checking in to the room I was shocked at what was give to us as a family of 5. The room was obviously heavily smoked in and run down was beyond the word I can use. I had no choice but to try get some sleep and speak to a Manager in the morning. When I called down at 8am took the Manager around 1 hour to even call me back. He sent the House Keeping manager to the room. I showed him all my concerns you can see some of the pictures and state of the Fridge Freezer to give you an idea of the state of the Apartment. He advised they will change our room. Took them a further two hours to organise a room on the 5th floor and to our further disappointment a lovely FULL View of the Water Park Construction along with the banging and works. We had no choice but to move to this room for the interim as the initial rooms smell was so bad its caused me breathing issues as Im asthmatic. Again I called the Manager who did not call me back for a further 2 hours. I also contacted Expedia whom I booked this room with again another story and not at all helpful. I told the Manager the new apartment is as bad as the initial. We booked a room with 2 singles a queen and a King also not something that looked like it was decorated in 1981 and smelt bad. His response was if you wish to cancel we will charge 1 additional day. There was no consideration for the guests and no consideration for what service we had and have been provided with. I mean the apartment didnt have bowls for cereal no utensils to cook and after telling the house keeping manager he said oh you need to ask for it we dont just give bowls. Took me most part of the day to actually get to meet the Manager. He was just a weekend Duty Manager and again was just reading of a script and kept going on about the one day cancellation and he was trying to speak to his Manager who will only be in on Monday. He even told me the Apartments are very dated and that they should have been refurbished months ago but they kept it open. He offered to go get me 3 rooms in the hotel at the extortionate last minute rates with no discount or offers, which I refused. Decided we wanted to actually just go find another hotel and we would be happy to pay for the days we stayed not the cancelation policy he kept repeating to me. He told me to leave it with him and he will come back to us. I the interim I could not find a 3 bed apartment for the week and earliest date was 3 days later. We had no choice but to stay where we were. I left a few messages for the Manager, guess what he never came back to me. I left messages for the General Manager to contact me guess what No one ever came back to me. This place is not fit for a stay. The House keeping guys are decent but some days I would get 10 towels per room some days they would not even replace the toilet tissue was calling down daily for basic things. The toilet in the main bedroom was hanging off the wall plugs were not fit for use in fact dangerous, cracks on kitchen work tops, stained floors tiles, dirty fridges. We opened the dishwasher one day and smelt like something was dead in there. List just goes on and on too much to mention. The construction should have been clearly noted when we booked with Expedia, this was no and I will take this up with them direct. But I would NEVER stay at this place again. Plenty of amazing hotels that treat their customers with respect and try to help with things when they are not right. Im sure they will respond to this with we will take on board your concerns !!! AVOID !! OLD NEEDS UPDATING AND REALLY POOR STAFFING AT FRONT COUNTER ALONG WITH MANAGEMENT
Pardeep (2/5): - This has to be the worst holiday experience of my life. Took my family away for 9 nights booked the Grand Hyatt Residence Dubai. I know Dubai very well lived and worked in all the top hotels for 15 years. I must say this is the worst hotel Ive come across ever. Rooms stink of cigarettes, Rooms are so dated its unbeleivable. Mould in fridges, cracked kitchen work tops, broken toilets, over filling sinks, dishwasher we could not even open was like a smell of some old food of some sort in there. Also rooms we booked were 2 singles 1 queen and kind - 3 bed apartment was not this at all they had to make up the queen with two single beds was not at all comfortable for my mother in law who is 76. After speaking to Expedia and the hotel Manager nothing was done - Expedia given me some credit but to be honest thats just not acceptable after the 9 days we had no choice but to stay here as they would not help with alternative accomodation. Also ended up with a full contruction site view for my holiday. No mention of this when booking even though hotel advised they have informed Expedia of this and to inform guests Avoid this Hotel its disgusting and not as described

You walk into the room and the house reeks cigarette, there are burn marks on the furniture, the lights barely work and they flicker, looks super cheap and the furniture has got oil stains. If it was 3/5 star motel I wouldn’t complain. But for a five star this is unacceptable!! Terrible experience would 100% recommend you to save your money and go book the hotel instead!
Antara20 (2/5): Unbelievably bad - After having been booked in Grand Hyatt Hotel since June we were told 4 days before departure we were being now being accommodated in the residence due to an overbooking issue.We were assured that the same level of 5 star accommodation would apply and we would be upgraded to full board for our troubles.We arrived at Residence reception at 1.30 am.It is the most uninspiring soulless reception I have ever encountered in 24 years of visiting Dubai and this is when the alarm bells began to ring.We were eventually allocated room 202.It was a massive 2 bedroom run down apartment.A lot of the furniture was chipped the carpets were marked and need a good clean and the whole place smelled of somewhere that had not been used for a long time. I returned to the reception and then across to the hotel reception where I was told there was no rooms available,come back at 9am and they would what they could do.Then went back to apartment by then it was 2am and struggled to get to sleep due to the smell and the noisy A/C.How any top class hotel chain like the Hyatt group think it acceptable to put any of their guests in a slum like room 202 is beyond me.The next morning after a lot of discussion a Mr Mounir allocated us a room in the hotel for which we were very grateful for but it was only what we had booked in the first place.This review only covers the soulless reception and room 202,I could not comment on any other apartments.If anyone has booked the Hyatt Residence please take note of this review.I was told it was closing at end of the year for a full refurbishment,it was no consolation to me.I will post another review of Grand Hyatt hotel shortly

Saba (10/5): - What i didnt like was there was any walkinh dostmace grocery shopping, we had to order via careem or go by taxi to the shops, the only nearby shop was on ground level where you can buy your essentials but not juch variety. Staff were lovely, helpful, close by restaurants were slightly expensive. House keeping came every morning. Swimming outdoor and indoor excellent facilities.

Helen (8/5): - We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our accommodation was very spacious and ideal for 4 adults and 2 toddlers. Our only dissatisfaction with the property was the lack of ramps which made it very difficult moving to various areas with a double pram.
Cijo (10/5): Wonderful stay - did not disappoint. - When we arrived, we checked in with little hassle and our room (603) had a nice view and it was very clean. There were a quantity of activities you could do, for example swimming or taking a walk around the premises. We had no problems during our stay and the convenience store was very good. If you did have a problem, it would have been quickly resolved with helpful staff and room service. It was a very nice experience that I would recommend to others. I would most definitely stay here again if I could.

636ravib (8/5): Great value hotel for longer stays in dubai. - Great value in a great location near the airport....rooms are a bit out dated but functional and all serviced daily. The management, the cleaning team, etc, are all very helpful and accommodating to any request. Wasn't keen on the restaurants next door in the main hotel but there's lots of restaurants nearby and delivery outlets. Well worth a stay and great value for what you pay.

judithtM1933EP (10/5): Ideal location & excellent as always. - Another fantastic stay. Staff are attentive and nothing is too much bother. Hotel is excellent value for money compared to some hotels. The breakfasts offer excellent choice and we enjoyed pizza and a few snack lunches which were also very tasty and fairly good value for money. Hopefully next time we return the waterpark will finally be open!

679ssaml (10/5): Excellent Aparthotel - Excellent spacious accommodation in heart of Dubai . The rooms are big with all amenities . Located centrally with easy access to all sites . It has a swimming pool , gym on site . Restaurant in Grand Hyatt can be availed . The apartment has some big clean rooms and a big kitchen . The staff are courteous and helpful . Taxi is available at the front . All in all a perfect place to stay if you are a big group .

Glenville (10/5): - The property was great, spread over20 floors and adjoining the Grand Hyatt hotel. Both properties share the gardens and the pools. If you want a restaurant there are 13 eateries in the hotel complex. If you have booked breakfast that in the main restaurant which is set in an indoor rain forest, has to be seen. The staff are very friendly and helpful, from reception to house keeping and gardening staff to the life guards. We had a 2 bedroom appartment and it was massive. Large fully equiped kitchen, large entrance hall. The lounge and dining room were huge. The table would seat around 8. The two bedrooms were big and had their own ensuites, plenty of wardrobes and drawers. We also had a thirdwash room and toilt and a seperate utility room with a washing machine and a dryer, iron and ironing board. We could see Wafi mall from the room about 10 mins slow walk away., and the Burj Kalifa on the distance. Taxis always on hand at the hotel and a metroabout 150 meyres from Wafi mall. Pharmacy on site and clinics and hospital by the metro. We would recommend staying here.
MY DUNG (10/5): - Its huge. Its old fashion decor but the apartment was very clean. The beds were comfy. Metro station is abt 7 mins walking and that takes you to almost all tourist attractions in Dubai.
Bennett (10/5): - Fantastic room and amenities. One strange detail: booked a bedroom apartment for myself and a friend. We arrived separately (him first) then me later and they said it would be an extra charge for an additional person. I booked for two people and called to make sure we were both on the booking, so this definitely came as a surprise. It was a king bed and the apartment was massive.

igm76 (8/5): Excellent family accommodation near airport - Travelling internationally, have stayed here twice for short stays with young children and booked a third visit. Stayed in two bedroom apartment. Although a bit dated, they’re clean and functional, with lots of space and free wifi. Staff are very friendly and responsive. Accessing restaurants etc in hotel is easy and very convenient. Outdoor pools are fantastic for children. Dedicated children’s water park is undergoing renovation but children’s pool still available. Highly recommend.
KKJ1972 (10/5): Consistently good. - We have stayed at the Grand Hyatt a few times now and there is a reason for it. The hotel is very well run and all the staff you encounter are polite, greet you with a smile and are very helpful. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and the beds comfortable. The management clearly have a well developed strategy that delivers a consistently high customer experience. We have never been disappointed whenever we have stayed here. It’s always difficult singling out team members, however Rajeev and Vinod in The Market Cafe have always looked after us and are extremely professional, along with Asmi,Abhi,Sughand and Alissa who were also attentive.

110harunr (2/5): Unexpected behaviour from residence site receptionist Mr. Shajun - Mr. Shajun in residence site receptionist is living in his own world when he is on duty. I asked him many time that can i go to my family room with the food? He never talk or look at me becouse he is busy laughing on call with native language. I was tired to let him focus on me. I have many relatives from different country and i always i recommended them to come in Grand Hyatt Dubai Hyatt Regency Dubai. I never tough that this kind of scene i've to face. Horace (8/5): - Very friendly and courteous staff. My 3 bedroom 4.5 bath residence was a bit dated but overall very nice accommodations Really good location with easy access to beaches and downtown. I would definitely recommend.
bizhanr2019 (2/5): No reciept! Robbery? - no reciept!! I was robbed. They took 1200 Derham cash for deposit then they denied that they took it. RACHEL was the one who took the money. She didn't give us a receipt and said why do you need a receipt, you do not not trust me?! She did not take reciept to at least two more guests! After a LONG discussion and checking the cameras and not showing the videos to us, they only gave us 200 Derham back. We stayed from 19/ March/ 2023 to 25/ March/2023 in the residential apartments. Sherpa24234135775 (8/5): Grand Hyatt stay in Dubai for april 2023 - The residence in Grand Hyatt are very big/spacious and clean. We can't hear each other whenever we are talking from one room to another but it was good. I love the bath tub it was clean and I enjoy it, one thing I just comment about is the air-conditioning unit in my room, it was hot and even I already turn it on the highest temp. But on the living room it is good. We also love the buffet breakfast! Thanks to Rabii, Hasnain, Adhi and Sheryl (kabayan) for giving us the most service for my family.
Tariq (2/5): - Land scape and swimming pool is pretty nice but the room was haunted had a bad smell in bathrooms water running in toilets 24/7 regardless of you letting them know. Very small bedrooms with thousands of closets everywhere with waste of space out side of the bedrooms.

Rahela (10/5): - Spacious rooms all with en-suites. Friendly staff on reception and courteous staff in housekeeping. Rooms cleaned daily. Laundry room a great advantage, washed, dried and ironed all my clothes and packed into suitcases ready to hang, saves on the laborious after holiday washing. Will recommend to family on friends.
Kausar (8/5): - Dull and outdated apartment. I expected a lot better from a Hyatt property. I have stayed in Marriott apartments twice in the past, those were way better. Disappointed.

bahrainia991 (10/5): Great stay - Spacious and very child friendly. Classic furniture but clean and good. The best breakfast ever. The kids love the lobby and breakfast jungle area. This hotel is one of the best hotels in Dubai. Both, the hotel and apartments are amazing. Can’t wait to be back.

kanari212 (10/5): Amazing Stay at Grand Hyatt residences - The hotel Staff made our stay as comfortable as it could be ,there assistance has been extended to maximum possible. The room , even thought it's outdated, but it's spacious and maintained clean. Pool area was amazing. Down points: No TV in bed rooms. Floor corridors need to have air refresher
Isabelacsr (10/5): Amazing and perfect stay - Stayed at the grand Hyatt Dubai - absolutely amazing, we arrived at 1am and the staff were friendly and I was exhausted. But never the less all The staff working there went above and beyond to accommodate me and my friends requests for vegan food. Honestly I can’t thank all the staff at the breakfast rooms and restaurants, staff at front desk and outside staff. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay and for all your help, much appreciated.
