• Ian (9/5): A great place to stay & experience abit of calm - The room very clean, quiet, best mattress & pillow. I slept so well at this place. Its so nice to be away from a city or town. We had a beer at a really nice cafe/ bar across the road where alot of buses pull in. Dinner the other way across the road & had a great chicken/ rice dish from the family restaurant. A short cycle to see the amptitheatre A good breakfast served to the guests by the very nice host. This place is a highlight nothing around buts its magic So many cats trying to get into the room

• Kalimerasas (9/5): Very peaceful and next to the Epidaurus theatre - I loved the location and the peaceful vibe, it's surrounded by nature but so easy to find and it's perfect to visit the Epidaurus theatre/Asklepios archaeological site (only a 20 min walk). The bus from/to Athens stops right next to the hotel (1 minute away) Ligourio village is walking distance too (25 min maybe) There's a couple of cafes/ restaurants across the road. Rooms are great value, basic but charming and spotlessly clean, breakfast is good, and the local family that owns the hotel are genuinely kind and helpful. I wish I had booked more time to enjoy the serenity of the place
• Nikolaos (10/5): Charming and Peaceful Stay Near Epidaurus - A very nice and quiet hotel near Epidaurus. It may feel a bit old-fashioned, but it’s very clean and well-maintained. The hotel retains its unique character, offering more of a countryside vacation experience, perfect for those looking to connect with nature and people on a deeper level. It might not be ideal for guests who don’t appreciate a more traditional atmosphere or are looking for modern luxury.
• Jennifer (7/5): Basic for a night to be able to get to Epidaurus early - Close to Epidaurus Theatre site, the reason we picked it. Fine for a night. Comfortable bed. The staff was nice. It was cold two days ago when we stayed but on a warm day or evening it would have been nice to sit in the grassy courtyard. A note about breakfast: As one reviewer noted the breakfast is high carb. Besides a hard boiled egg, there was fresh orange juice and cake, white bread with jam and honey, white bread grilled cheese and ham sandwich. I would have liked a piece of fruit and some yogurt so I was a bit disappointed but others review the breakfast as yummy. A matter of taste.
• Edana (8/5): Very good - This is a simple hotel, a throw back to a motor court in the 1960's. but they have put value into the rooms. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was immaculately clean. The owner was very helpful, kind and gave me some great ideas for my day. The breakfast area and breakfast was really nice.
• Roger (8/5): Located away from the town with very easy access from main highways and ancient theater - Very close to ancient theater site. Easy to access on main roads intersection, but a bit of noise from traffic until the evening. Breakfast was high carb, but also egg and a ham/cheese toast. Fresh juice, butter, etc. Room nothing fancy, but clean. Very good bed with good linens and pillows. Terrace and garden were nicely kept and relaxing area to enjoy mornings or evenings. We would stay again. Road noise during business hours.

• Donna (4/5): Perfect Location - Location. Host wast nice. Breakfast was ok. Cats everywhere, trying to get into our room through both the door and the window/shutters that didn't shut well. Bathroom floor had a lot of hair on it from possibly cleaning with a dirty mop. Traffic noise from road.

• Lazar (5/5): Passable - Majority of the staff were kind. The owner were kind and helpful. Location is good for whole of Argolida touring, in the middle of the peninsula. The breakfast is fine but completely same every time. One member of staff had unpleasant and inappropriate behavior. We didn't figure out where was the rush that third morning of our visit, but while we were at the breakfast at 9AM she stormed at our room to clean it, although every other day cleaning was while we were out of the hotel. By the way, the room was pretty clean as we came back at night and only slept before came to breakfast. As we didn't expect that, we left some of our personal belongings on beds and suitcases opened and she had to touch and move that to fold the sheets and clean the floor without any reasonable reason and without respecting our privacy. She did the same a little bit later with another guest. Really unacceptable.
• Aimilios (9/5): Amazing summer stay! - The rooms were comfy and had everything we needed. The location was great (beaches were 30 minutes in any direction). There was a well-kept garden and trees provided shade for the cars in the parking area. The breakfast experience was great, and the hotel staff were very helpful. Also, lots of playful kittens! Bathroom could be a tiny bit better, but not a dealbreaker at all. The lid of the toilet seat was coming down, and the shower was a bit small. Also, some people might be annoyed by the sound of passing cars at night, as the hotel is situated near a main road.

• Eirini (10/5): Nice stay! - The hotel is very tidy and clean. We stayed there for 1 night because we wanted to attend an event in the Epidaurus theatre nearby. It was very close to the theater - just a 2 minute drive. The room was comfortable and very clean and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel. -

• Pamela (9/5): A place to heal the body and spirit. - The property was very peaceful. The bed was comfortable. The property is a 1.8 kilometer hike from the archeological site with the Epidaurus Theater and the Asclepian Temple and ancient healing center. I appreciated that the name came from the ancient place where pilgrims came and waited for healing dreams. The staff will drive you to the site but I enjoyed the walk. I stayed for almost a week. The toilet could be updated but did what it needed to do. Although it is peaceful … it is on a road that can get busy.

• Jiří (9/5): Superb - Helpful and friendly staff. An owner also offered me a lift to an archaeological site of Epidaurus! But it’s not far, you can walk there (approx. 20 minutes by foot). Really nice area in front of rooms. A hotel is near a bus station. I was there at the end of November and there was a little bit cold in a bathroom. But this cannot happen in a summer.

• William (8/5): The Avaton Hotel is a convenient place to stay when visiting Epidaurus - There was a good breakfast and the hotel was close to the Epidauros archaeological site. The host was friendly and helpful in guiding us to restaurants in the nearby town of Lygourio. The room was a bit small, The hotel is located adjacent to a highway intersection and, although not really difficult to get to, was easy to miss, which we did a couple of times.

The little details such as 70ies features , terrazzo balconies , and style elements. Building well maintained. Playful reception and breakfast area. Nice garden in front. View towards green mountains. Very good value . Some people may be hesitant about the roadside location but we slept excellently and Epidaurus highlights are a stonesthrow away . Trafic dies out later in the day.

• Tyson (9/5): Great location, great staff, overall a great stay. - Great location, absolutely wonderful staff. Personally I walked everywhere (into town as well as to the archaeological site) but I was even given a bike I could use if I didn’t want to have to walk. The local KTEL station is also right next to the property which made my life super easy. The man running it also made sure I liked everything and had no issues multiple times, and was extremely extremely helpful and nice my whole stay. It was a little bit of a walk to get into town or the site, but if you like walking, have a car, or use the bike he gives you then it should be no issue at all.
