- 234aob (10/5): Lovely family run hotel off the beaten track - I spent 7 nights with my sister at Daniel Hotel 7th - 14th September. It was my first visit & my sister’s 2nd however some of the other guests have been visiting for many years which says a lot about this family run hotel. Vicky, Gus, Fotini & the staff give you such a warm welcome. They obviously pride themselves on great service & go above & beyond to make your stay extra special & work tirelessly day in day out. The rooms were very clean & all in all great value for money. Vicky very kindly said that we could keep our room until we left at 7.30pm which was so very kind & an added bonus.
Vicky & Gus’s hotel is in a beautiful quiet setting just over 0.5 mile walk to Kalamaki Road where there is an abundance of restaurants & bars. It’s a lovely walk past many Greek homes, farms & a lovely little church. There are many restaurants to choose from but a couple of my favourites were Ellie’s place, Bullhorn Steakhouse & Michaelos (not on Kalamki Rd but turn right out of the hotel and then right again rather than left). Michaelos is at the top of the road on the left.
Breakfast at Daniel hotel was delicious & there was quite an extensive menu to choose from. We had pizza (to share as it was very large) on our last evening & it was very tasty.
I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Daniel Hotel & hope to in the very near future. A big thank you to Vicky, Gus & the team for helping make our holiday so special.
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect Stay - The owners were fantastic and we were looked after very well during our stay. The room and facilities were comfortable, clean and well accommodated. Would definitely recommend for a nice quiet stay in Kalamaki.

- riojaskd (10/5): Again, a Home from Home!! - Been coming here for many years and are always welcomed with open arms!
Vicky, Gus, Costas, Alti and Fotini, are amazing hosts and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome!!
- Vasile (10/5): A fost una dintre cele mai frumoase cazări pe care le-am avut în vacante! - Totul a fost la superlativ! A fost foarte bine!
- Carol (10/5): Great stay, convenient location, - Beautiful pool. Location. Beds a bit hard.

- RileyandBaker (10/5): Diolch to the Daniel! - We don't write many reviews, but this place really deserves one! This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and we will absolutely be back again as soon as we can. The hotel facilities are basic, but we're everything we needed. The rooms are immaculate, cleaned every other day with fresh towels and bedding. The pool area is brilliant, with plenty of beds without the need to rush around at the break of dawn to our your towels down. The pool bar serves a great range of food most of the day, and plays some absolute bangers! What really made our stay here 5 star was the owners and their staff. Gus and Vicky are the most incredible hosts, and them and their staff are some of the most hard working people we've come across. Nothing is too much trouble and they will bend over backwards to help make you feel as welcome as you would in your own home.
We've had a brilliant week here at the Daniel, and look forward to our next stay!
- Yvonne (10/5): - Close to airport, friendly staff, lovely quiet location but close to restaurants etc Nothing
- bennett (10/5): i was welcomed with open arms, just for a 1 day stay, shown the room which was spotless, - as only 1 day i stayed at hotel, it is spotlessly clean, they do laundry service, hotel rules on a notice card in room, very good bar and food service, and every staff member is very friendly, who all speak english. nothing there i didn't like, the pool is in a sun trap, not any loud music blasting and no small children running a screaming
- Elisa (7/5): - The hotel is owned and run by a very warm and friendly family!
You are still at Kalamaki (which is very busy with tourists), but rather at the end of the village and you already see the hills in the east, grassland and trees around, which is relaxing.
Big, roomy showers:) I am more into simple colours and furniture like white and warm, natural wood, but that is a question of style;)

- 296jaynep (10/5): Lovely hotel - Just got back after spending 11 days at the Daniel Hotel. Our second visit and was has good has the first, a lovely welcoming place, great owners and lovely staff, will definitely visit again.

- moniquebrinsley73 (10/5): Paradise - Well what can I say this place is a little paradise. Gus, Vicky and fotini and staff could not be more welcoming and will do anything for you treated everyone like family, the hotel is so peaceful, clean and so pretty highly recommend and thank you all for looking after myself and my daughter we will definitely be back 🙂
- jackygriffiths70 (10/5): A wonderful week away - We stayed here for a week. Excellent location, pool is nice and quiet, very chilled and clean, staff are very helpful and polite nothings too much trouble, room is basic but clean and is cleaned daily. Definitely worth a stay. We are definitely returning.
- U8967ETstevem (10/5): Chilled vibe - We stayed at Daniel hotel July/August for 7 nights. Couldn't fault in any way, always a sunbed available (no matter what time of day). Lovely pool area, very relaxed. Great breakfast/snacks from the pool bar. Rooms basic but clean with great air con if needed. An easy walk to the 'strip' 10/15 minutes. All the staff & owners are very welcoming. The hotel is a hidden gem, definitely recommend by me and the wife.. Happy Days☺️
- Y9640JSerinm (2/5): Very disappointing experience - Very disappointed with the experience provided. On arrival at the hotel no one was at reception after a 15 min wait and ringing the buzzer a few times my partner needed to walk all the way to the pool bar to get someone. When we got into the room it was fairly clean apart from the hairs on the floor next to the bed, disgusting. Bathroom does not have a suitable shower would describe it more as an extremely small wet room, showering right next to the toilet which as you can imagine after a shower the toilet paper was all extremely soggy and bathroom was like a swimming pool. Kettle was provided but no mugs, tea bags or coffee etc. wardrobe in room was about to fall over so lived out the suitcase all week. Hotel is located a 15-20 min walk from kalamaki strip and in the heat was horrible. We never used the pool or pool bar at the hotel because anytime we walked by both staff and customer were giving us extremely dirty looks as if we were not welcome, Luckily for us we had family staying in another hotel so used the pool and facilities at that hotel which was a completely different standard to our hotel. The maids were quite abrupt and would enter the room when you were still in getting ready, when we were getting ready to check out an hour before listed check out time the maid was banging on the door when I shouted we are leaving in 5 mins she continued to stay around the door with all her cleaning supplies giving us no privacy. Towels and bedding only get changed once a week so if you are staying for a week you’ll be using the same towels and bedding. Air conditioning is not included and rooms are extremely warm. Would no recommend.
- maureenrI962TE (10/5): A little haven I'm reluctant to share... - 1st time in Zante. We booked last minute and wow did we do well. Please don't let the 2 star thing put you off. This place is so calm and peaceful, no fighting for sunbeds, no screaming kids or loud music. It's in a beautiful setting and just laying listening to the sounds of the birds and crickets is bliss. The rooms are basic but that's Greece I've found. Beds are clean, as is bathroom. The food here is all homemade and incredible. The owners Gus and Vicky and their team are so accommodating and will do anything for you. Costas attention to details made me smile, nothing is ever out of place.
Location wise it is off the main strip and a good walk to the beach. I have 2 chronic health conditions so if I couldn't manage to walk far then we easily got a taxi and they collect us too.
We are booking for next year when we get home. Can't wait to come back!
- Michelle1503 (10/5): Perfect hotel - Recently returned from a week at Hotel Daniel. It was a fantastic stay from start to finish. Gus Vicky Faye Costas and Altin went out their way to make us feel so welcome. We stayed in an apartment room which was lovely very clean and fantastic air conditioning. The resort was beautiful and pool was lovely. Always sunbeds free. The food was amazing . We had breakfast lunch and a meze tea. Altins club sandwich was amazing, so were the homemade chips. Costas made the best frozen strawberry daiquiri's. Gus taught us how to drink the Greek coffee properly. The week was just perfect will definitely be back .

- Flyer24567172602 (10/5): Relaxing Oasis - We visited with our friends as a package holiday and felt that we’d booked an exclusive trip. All of us would love to go back!
The rooms are immaculate, with very good air conditioning (much needed!) and were turned over everyday.
The pool (perfect size!) and area around it had ample sun beds with plenty of shade if needed and the bar area was lovely, with olive tree shaded tables if you wanted them.
But the real joy of this place is the sheer pride that Gus,Vicky, Costas, Altin and Faye take in the hospitality they provide.
The food was all lovingly made with fresh ingredients, and very reasonably priced. Try the yogurts for breakfast with a Greek coffee (Don’t worry, Gus will show you how to drink it), you’ll be set up for the day. We had a Meze one night (with probably too much wine, but it was worth it!) - one of that the best meals we had!
Peaceful, relaxed and friendly. Perfect holiday for us!
- Alexandros (5/5): Hidden fees, not a value for money choice. - Very easy to find, close to Kalamaki and city centre, but not in a noisy area. I requested a double bed and only after I made the reservation they informed me they had no double bed availability. After a few messages they managed to find an appropriate room, but the towels and linen had hair when I arrived. The A/C is charged separately, a hearty €10 per day, although it is not stated beforehand and had to read about it in my rooms information leaflet. When turned on, it smelled mouldy and stale, meaning it has not been cleaned properly.
- 386suet (10/5): Holiday with my sister - My sister and myself have just returned from a great week staying at the Daniels Hotel.
The accommodation was well kept and cleaned daily, we we're a little confused on arrival as we thought we had booked self-catering but only had a room. Vicky and Gus went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to allow us to have plates, cups, bowls, glasses and cutlery to be able make things to eat. The pool and bar area was a brilliant relaxing area and the food was lovely.
The only negative was the location to the bars and restaurants it was a good 15 minutes walk and in some areas of the walk there were no street lights.
Overall we had a really good time and that was down to Vicky, Gus and Costa who made our holiday relaxing. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
- T4617WCtraceyb (10/5): Hidden Gem - Just spent 9 nights at this lovely peaceful hidden gem.Vicky,Gus and the rest of the team are so friendly, nothing too much trouble for them.Rooms basic but that's Greece.Food at the bar was amazing especially the home cooked chips.Overall a fantastic holiday and we are planning on returning next year 🙂
- Helena (10/5): - Another amazing stay at the Daniel Hotel.
Vicky, Gus and all the staff can’t do enough for you. It’s such a beautiful hotel with the best pool and a friendly atmosphere
- G5756CHhelenam (10/5): Its that good we keep going back! - Its that good we keep going back!
Vicky, Gus and all the team cannot do enough for you. It really is a home from home in the most beautiful setting. The menu is extensive large portions and excellent. I really enjoyed the Greek Salad and club sandwiches not to mention the best pint of mythos!
We love the location its not on thee main strip its about 10-15 mins walk depending on your capability so i agree with other reviews that if you want to be in the thick of it this may not be for you. You cannot get a more peaceful beautiful location with the most friendly of hosts and staff. You may arrive as a stranger but you will leave as a friend.
- Isabel (10/5): Heaven - Everything. It was perfect. Lovely hosts. There was nothing to dislike
- Jemma (10/5): - Stayed here for the second time recently and was great again. Owners and staff are lovely. Very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a great size with all the facilities we needed. Pool area is always clean and lots of sunbeds. Bar has great options for food and drink. Rooms cleaned regularly as well. Really good location to the shops, Yannis for transport hire and the beach. They were extra helpful this time and let me and my friends keep our room until we were ready to head to the airport, meant we could all relax, have showers and be comfortable for the journey home. Highly recommend and will come again
- A4844BAisabelm (10/5): Lovely thoughtful owners - I would like to thank vicky and gus for the bubbly and chocolates left in our room for my husband's birthday . It was a lovely thought and very much appreciated.
It is a beautiful hotel and the surroundings are lovely.
Hope to return .
Thank you.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Alexlena27 (10/5): Fantastic experience - Stayed for two weeks end of may beginning of June, had a great time.so peaceful adults only hotel.room was spacious and clean. staff were excellent ,food was good only 10-15 mins from the strip with all the restaurants and cocktail bars. Will be back again for sure
- stephen (10/5): - very nice holiday we both enjoyed it,thatswhat its all about
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- O5655BTamandac (10/5): Fantastic! - We had a fabulous holiday at Daniel Hotel. The pool was wonderful, never crowded. The rural location was great, lovely and peaceful, which is what we wanted. Only a 10 minute walk to restaurants and bars. Prices of food and drink were very reasonable. Our room was basic, but very clean and met our needs. The owners were wonderful, very kind, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food at the hotel was great, tasty and lots of it! We would definitely recommend this fantastic family hotel. Looking forward to returning in the future!
- Stay26798033573 (10/5): Brilliant - Lee and Laura.. room 26..
Booked this hotel based on reviews...
We definitely was given the best room..
Food and service is excellent.. cant find anything bad to say..
Will be coming again next year..
Thank you for a relaxing time..
No need for transfers as only 5 minutes taxi from airport for €20
- Nomad74509 (10/5): Little Oasis - perfect for a relaxing stay a little oasis in the middle of of nowhere we had 5 meals there and it was better than anywhere else else we had eaten. The staff were brilliant so helpful.the breakfast was minimal but good enough. We hired a scooter as it is a 15/20 minute walk to the beach and about 10 minutes walk to the town centre all in all we loved it
- gretan98 (10/5): Peaceful - A very nice quiet hotel set back from the main "strip". Our room was spacious and clean with plenty of storage. The owners and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast has lots of choices and the poolside bar is reasonably priced and the food they serve is excellent. They serve food until 9pm which is a bonus if you have been out all day and don't fancy going out for dinner. We walked from the hotel to the main strip at a leisurely pace and it took us 11 minutes 34 seconds to be precise. There is plenty of parking at the hotel. The only very slight negative is there are not enough sunbeds around the pool on a busy day. I would highly recommend staying here if you like a bit of peace and quiet.
- Nicholas (9/5): Excellent value for money! Air con and safe included in the price 👍🏻 didn’t take advantage of the €5 breakfast but next - Location Pillows
- 432joannef (8/5): Lovely Greek hospitality - Just home from a lovely week at the Daniel Hotel. There are so many things I could say about this lovely, family run hotel. However, I will try being as objective as possible.
Firstly, the good points:
*The pool and bar area have to be the stars of the show! Spotlessly clean, just the right size for the number of guests and the pool was a lovely temperature. No inflatables or lilo's allowed, but I can see why as it wouldn't take many for the pool to feel overcrowded.
*Food at the bar was lovely. It's not a huge menu, but it's a small hotel. Greek salad, club sandwiches, pizza, and the real chips were great. Didnt have a burger, but they looked. Food is a really good price too. Great value for money.
*The staff worked so hard. The owners, Gus and Vicky, really have found themselves some wonderful employees. Its a small staff team but they do everything to make your holiday memorable. Greek hospitality at its best.
*It's located out of the main resort area, about a 10 minute walk to the main street in Kalamaki, where there are bars/restaurants etc. It suited us as we appreciated the peace but some may find it a little out of the way. Its location was a positive for us.
Now the few negative points:
*The main negative for us was the bed. It was so uncomfortable. Can't complain too much as we didn't raise this with the owners.
*The shower cubicle was 'awkward'. It was a shower tray with a curtain but it was very small. The shower curtain stuck to your body, so we just tucked it out of the way and used the bathroom like a wet room, cleaning/drying the floor after we had showered.
*Breakfast is quite repetitive and choice is limited. It was all perfectly fresh but maybe an additional breakfast cereal or changing the fruit on offer each day might liven it up a bit.
*There is a 'no reserving sunbeds' rule, there is a notice in every room. However, this was not enforced. It didn't matter later in the week as a few guests appear to have left, leaving sunbeds available. But earlier in the week it was clear this rule isn't enforced. Again, can't complain too much as we didn't address this with either Gus or Vicky.
Overall, we had a great stay at the Daniel. We hired a small car and drove around the island, the mountains are quite picturesque. Zante itself didn't have much to offer for us and the main resort towns looked a little run down. However, if you like the Island, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Daniel as a place to stay.
Top tip: hire a car and see some.of the Island. There are some fabulous, quaint villages in the north and the countryside is beautiful.
- jennybW1837SL (8/5): Overall very good - My friend and I spent 9 nights at the Daniel Hotel at the start of July. On the whole our stay was lovely. The hotel and pool area were spotless. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was basic so we didn't bother every day. Food we did have at the hotel was very good and reasonably priced. There is a lovely greek restaurant to be found if you turn right at the end of the road, then left at the top. The strip can be reached by going to the end of the road and turning left and there are numerous bars and restaurants. We walked to and fro every night without any problems.
Our holiday was only spoilt by the usual selfish sunbed blockers. Beds were reserved from early morning so as we refused to join in this we went down the road to the Cronulla Hotel where there were ample beds available and they served lovely food. You could usually find a vacant sunbed back at the Daniel Hotel later in the afternoon.
- Ciaolone (10/5): Relax in Zante - The hotel is very easy going and relaxing with a nice pool and bar. If you want to stay in the hotel to chill, the bar has a good choice of food. Highly recommend to rent a scooter or a car to get there and move around.
- helenjQ3489SA (8/5): A little gem. - A little gem.
The perfect place to relax, unwind and chill out for a week or so.
Perfectly situated in quiet surroundings. Close to the strip (10 mins walk) but far enough away not to be disturbed by it. And 25 minute to the beach, which was lovely.
We stayed here in early August and loved it.
Gus and Vicky, the owners are lovely hosts along with the rest of the friendly staff. All of which could not do enough for us.
The drinks are perfectly cold and very reasonably priced as was the food which was absolutely delicious and all home cooked.
The pool area is clean and tidy and in our 7 night stay there was only one day on which there weren’t any free beds. We didn’t find people reserving beds and never using them or having to get up at the crack of dawn to get one.
The breakfast is basic however there are eggs, bread for toast, cereal, cake, yogurt, jam, honey, chocolate spread. Tea and coffee. A good set up for the day.
WiFi is free and very good.
You do need to pay for air con but it is definitely well worth it.
There are no cups or mugs in the rooms but you just help yourself to them from the breakfast room.
We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return in the future.
- Omer (8/5): One of the best budget friendly hotels - Very friendly owner/staff
Nice price/quality
Nice pool
Nice location in the nature and trees
Clean Room and the furniture are a little outdated
Lightning inside of the room could be a little bit better
- V374LKamandag (10/5): Warm Geek Hospitality and Lovely Apartments - Greek hospitality at its best at these lovely apartments. The owners and Staff could not do enough for us and treated us like family. The hotel was typically Greek, very basic but perfectly adequate and clean. They breakfast was continental type, served in a lovely dining area or the option to sit outside. The pool area was clean and the pool the warmest i have ever been in. There was only 1 day we could not get sunbed and we visited in the height of the season. There were plenty for everyone we found. It was a short walk to the strip, but this meant it was lovely and quiet which we really liked. Many repeat and lovely guests, which says it all. Gus the lovely owner asked us our names and brought us a drink on the house as soon as we arrived. We will definitely return without hesitation
- KerryC-B (10/5): Perfect peaceful getaway - Perfect hotel for a quiet and restful holiday with rural views yet only 10 minutes from the main bars and restaurants. The room had everything we needed and Vicki, Gus and team could not have been any kinder or more helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate to start the day, but the pool bar food was delicious, home cooked and plenty of choice served with smiles and humour. The music which I believe is a Gus playlist was brilliant every day, a very eclectic mix across the decades. If we come back to Kalamaki we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would certainly recommend it for adult friends. It is a 5 minute taxi ride to the centre (bar staff always happy to call you a taxi) where you will find some fantastic bars and restaurants, we have eaten incredible Greek food all week I could hardly favour one place over another.
- gholland344 (10/5): A Hidden Gem - Just got back from a week away with the wife staying at this marvellous Hotel, from start to finish this break was spot on, booked it up having read the reviews and was attracted by the very reasonable price, all I can say is this family run hotel was possibly one of the best hotels we have stayed at, don't get me wrong it isn't the Ritz but what it is, is welcoming it is clean it is comfortable the owners and the staff are great people who work very hard to run a well organised establishedment the pool is fantastic the food was great (reasonably priced) and it was nice and quiet but not far from where it's all happening, I would like to thank the owners for their hospitality, kindness and above all giving us a great week in the place we both love which is Kalamaki we will certainly be back
- Conrad (10/5): Great place to stay in kalamaki - Quiet location...easy to relax All ok
- Leicesterfox41 (2/5): Faulty Towers Zante Style - We did not enjoy our stay at the Daniel Hotel for the following reasons
1, it is beyond basic, our room had a kettle but no cups, A fridge which made more than enough noise to keep us awake every night and enough ants to cover large area of the floor.
2, Sunbeds are at times reserved overnight and most mornings they are taken by 7am with no one using them for most of the day.
3, When I approached the lady owner regarding this matter she performed a Greek rant reminiscent of Basil Fawlty in his heyday, she called me a liar and said I wanted to ruin her business, this was a totally hysterical overreaction and verged on threatening behaviour.
4, The local animal population although lovely to look at during the day enjoyed making themselves known throughout the night.
5, The roads to and from the resort are an absolute race track and are not very well lit which means there is an element of risk when walking at night.
6, If you are a first time visitor you seem to be treated with contempt, the hotel seems to have a members club attitude with regular visitors treated favourably (allowed to leave towels on sunbeds overnight)
We have visited Kalamaki many times and we believe that this hotel is the worst we have ever visited.
- Y55UAlorrained (8/5): Nice hotel - We returned from 14 nights at the Daniel hotel last week. The hotel is very clean and the staff were lovely, especially Gus! Such a cheery and good natured man! We ate at the bar a couple of times and the food was really good. Freshly made and, in agreement with everyone who commented on the chips, they were fabulous! Obviously hand cut and not frozen! The rooms are basic but have everything you need and are cleaned regularly with clean sheets and towels provided every two or three days. The hotel itself is in very quiet and in a lovely rural setting. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. We saw a lot of geckos around! It was a bit of a walk to get to the main part of the resort but you get used to it very quickly! Look out for Missy, the hotel cat! She’s very sweet!
We did have a couple of minor gripes. There is definitely a sunbed war! We saw people reserving beds the night before and very early in the morning then not occupying them until later in the day. We only managed to get beds once. This is something management need to regulate. I have to say that there seemed to be a bit of favouritism in this area towards people who were regular visitors!
Also we felt breakfast was very basic. Some cold meat and fresh fruit and salad would have enhanced it immensely. We have noted that the price for breakfast next year has jumped considerably so this might mean that they intend to improve it. I certainly hope so!
Having said these things, I think we would consider going to this hotel again as its plus points far outweighed the negatives.
- goddersc (10/5): A gem of a hotel. Will definitely be back - We’ve just returned from a 10 day stay at Daniel hotel as a family of 4 and have to say after reading all of the brilliant reviews, we were not disappointed. The staff made us feel so welcome. Gus & Vicky were so lovely and Costas & Antis worked very hard & always smiling. The poolside bar is lovely serving delicious food at reasonable prices. Rooms are basic but clean. Aircon is great and would definitely recommend in July’s temperature 🥵. It’s a lovely peaceful hotel only around 10/15 min walk to the main strip. We’re already planning on coming back next year.
- Weeks (10/5): Ohh Daniel - Friendly staff, really warm welcome, just brilliant. A real gem tucked away only stayed one night, but it was enough to get the feel for the place. All good 👍
- Léa (10/5): - Très bon hôtel, je recommande !
- Paul (10/5): Great place to stay - Great place to stay. Staff friendly. Pool area really nice. Everywhere was very clean. Nice restaurant called Michaelos close by would recommend.
- MichelleH875 (10/5): Perfect family run Greek hideaway - I write this review straight after booking to go back to this absolute gem of a hotel. It’s very rare we visit the same hotel twice but me and my partner fell in love with this place.
From the moment you arrive everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. It’s obvious many people return here time and time again but it creates a really nice atmosphere around the pool and bar.
The hotel is ideally situated for a relaxing holiday. Close enough to walk to the centre but far enough away that you can sleep peacefully. The rooms are kept really clean and are typical Greek hotel rooms. Air con which is a must in the heat is 10 euros a day. There is also a much needed fridge in the room.
The pool area is lovely, the pool is kept really clean. It is a nice size pool that goes quite deep. I could only touch the bottom in about a third of it. It never got busy and most of the time you had the pool to yourself. Most importantly no sunbed wars!!!!! No matter what time you got to the pool there were always sunbeds available.
The food in the restaurant was delicious, we had many gyros and the burgers are homemade and some of the best we’ve ever had!
I’d recommend anyone to give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to be back there next year 😊
- Karolina (8/5): Very good -
- V4594LHroyl (10/5): Little Gem... Wonderful relaxing holiday - Stopped for 10 days. Beautiful hotel. Incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. Very well priced. 30+ degrees every day so we payed for the AC which was lovely and a decent price at 10€ a day. Food at the bar was very good and again well priced. (Best chips on the island) Just the right amount of people at the hotel. The majority of the guests have been multiple times. Location is prefect, very quiet 10mins walk from the main strip. We've stopped at Kalamaki many times and IMO this is the best hotel for the price. Little Gem. Already planning coming back next year.
- 369katie (10/5): Fantastic hotel - Most beautiful, relaxing holiday. This hotel was a last minute find and it must have been fate. From the moment we got there the owners and staff couldn’t do enough for us! The hotel is beautiful, clean and picturesque. The staff are friendly and attentive nothing is too much. The food and drink selection is great. I honestly have nothing negative to say. Location is great set back but 20 min walk to strip. So peaceful. Pool is amazing! Highly recommend! Screams volumes at the amount of people we met who have been coming for decades, because they look after you and make you want to come back. Already planning my next trip💜
- darcher100 (10/5): Beautiful peaceful Daniel Hotel - We had a lovely relaxing stay at Daniel hotel!
The owners Gus and his wife were very welcoming and the workers serving us were lovely Greek gents…
The hotel is 10 minute walk from Kalamaki shops and restaurants
It’s a really peaceful quiet resort to chill and a great base to explore the island
I would definitely recommend a stay here!!
- Rommel (8/5): Excellent , cozy , quiet stay - Great stay . The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Nice location secluded from
The hustle and bustle , but still close to All commodities. The only downside is that the Breakfast was very minimal. Would still recommend anytime
- Sean (5/5): Passable - The pool was a good size and the setting is relaxing and tranquil I like to have a television in my room
- Emelie (8/5): Relaxing day with wonderful hosts. Beautiful surroundings. - Reasonable breakfast. Friendly staff and atmosphere. The bed could be more comfortable but everything else was fine.
- Samuel (10/5): If a family run hotel and atmosphere is what you seek, this is it. - What I remember and appreciated most was the hospitality of the staf and family. The atmosphere is relaxed and without being pushy they will come and check in with you if everything is as wished for. I had a long chat with the dad of te family. Nice guy, quite a good listener, talker and genuinely interested. They made it a pleasant stay. I think the bathroom needs an upgrade. I think to prevent all the water on the floor at least shower cabins should be installed.
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - Loved it. Lovely owners. Rooms are basic but spotless.
I have mobility issues so I had to get a taxi to the main part of Kalamaki.
The food was great and well priced.
Quiet and peaceful
Thoroughly recommended.
- Iuliia (6/5): Pleasant - Clean and friendly Outdated, too far from everything (sea, Kalamaki centre, restaurants, etc.)
- Milos (8/5): Very good - It's a nice place to stay if you want peaceful vacation. Staff is friendly, they are all nice. Pool is also ok, there is a nice garden. They make nice food at the bar/restaurant. The beach that we went to was fantastic, not very crowded, water was perfect and you can walk on sand for many km. It's a little too far from the beach, but I guess I knew that. What I didn't know is that there is no sidewalk for most of the way. In general, if you plan to stay around the pool and go to the beach once a day, then it's ok.
- Brahim (10/5): Good place to relax -
- Debbie (10/5): Oasis get away - Sensational staff and hotel with a great pool about 10 min walk from the Centre strip of Kalamaki.
Spotless rooms and grounds with a great atmosphere.
Thank you so much for your hospitality. A little far from the beach (20 min walk ) so pays to have a quad bike as a little too hot to walk in summer.
- Simona2004 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helena (10/5): - We love the Daniel hotel. The owners and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming nothing is to much trouble.
The grounds are beautiful and the pool is amazing. You have all the restaurants and shops within a short walk away
The rooms have everything you need and the only reason it lost 1 star was because the shower is a little small for me and I kept soaking the floor
The pool bar has lots of choice and it’s really reasonable we have already booked to go back
Thank you for such a wonderful relaxing stay !
- Benjamin (8/5): Great stay with very nice staff - We stayed here as a couple for one night before going to the airport. Our room was on the ground floor with terrace and view to the swimming pool and the hotel bar. Before leaving we could use the pool in the morning. It was able to stay a little bit longer in the room as our flight was in the early afternoon. Taxi was arranged by the hotel. Staff is very helpful and nice! Before leaving we also spend some time in the hotel bar at the pool.
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ ευγενικό σε καλή τοποθεσία και φυσικά η τιμή της διανομής πάρα πολύ καλή
- Pilarinos (9/5): Superb -
- Tünde (8/5): Very good - The pool and the hotel is beautiful, it has a nice atmosphere. The staff was nice, friendly and reachable.
We had a good time! The beds were a little uncomfortable and the breakfast could include some hams or something more maybe.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly hotel - Very friendly hotel where people seem to return year after year. Rooms are a fair size, although some fixtures and fittings need fixing. It was a nice touch to have a kettle and hairdryer in the room.
- Ramon (10/5): Exceptional -

- Lorraine (10/5): A hidden gem - Absolutely stunning place.. Great food and fantastic staff .. Excellent excellent all round
- Susan (10/5): Definitely worth a visit - you won't regret - First time away as a solo traveler, everyone made my 4 night break a pleasure. Vicky, Gus, Costas really made it feel like a home from home. Other guests made me so welcome, I am not surprised that people come back year after year. The room was spotless, cleaning regime top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to solo/couple stay.
I look forward to seeing you next year (possibly later this year)
Thank you everyone for looking out for me xx

- Victor Manuel (10/5): Nice hotel with excellent customer service - Great customer service. Our experience was excellent. I will definitely go back.
Daniel went beyond his duties with us and made us feel like at home.
Thanks for everything.
- The.alchmist (10/5): End of the season at The Daniel - Fantastic 👍 - Everything, I have been here before ;) the staff are fantastic, they do a great job of making you feel at home and are very nice guys.
I recommend this hotel as it has become my favourite from all the hotels I have visited in Kalamaki. There wasn't anything I didn't like except the rain maybe lol and being English that doesn't really bother me and of course going home :(
- Oskar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - everything, the feeling of community this hotel has to offer, the owners are also lovely
- Luke (10/5): Luke - Staff always friendly and helpful went above and beyond
Even a bottle of wine for my partner on her birthday brilliant place
- Lorraine (9/5): Quiet heaven - It was away from the kalamaki strip so nice and quiet and rural like farmland Bit of a walk to the beach but great pool and view
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Lucretia (8/5): Nice - Nice pool view
- Marlon (10/5): Exceptional - very friendly staff, great food, service and facilities. I was made to feel very welcome by everyone. I liked everything. I liked that the location was away from the main road but some might see this as a negative.
- Maadh (10/5): - It was amazing time 😍 the workers are amazing and kind and try to help always
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Juste une nuit sur place mais séjour très agréable
Wifi pas assez stable par contre pour travailler malheureusement
Personnel adorable propreté impeccable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The people were really kind and the place was really beautiful. A walking distance from town and the beach but more ideal to have a car or some method of transportation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - we stayed for one night . the hotel was in a quiet location, comfortable and the people were friendly . breakfast was continental and self service with yogurt, bread, eggs cakes . this was served in the pleasant breakfast room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Struttura tutto sommato buona e ben collegata ai servizi. Colazione scadente e personale veramente poco disponibile.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The pool and huge welcome we got as usual. I love watching wildlife in the field next door. The chips are amazing and so is everything else good on the bar menu
