In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, th - A beautiful hotel located on a hill with breathtaking views of the sea and the city. A modern, very clean, and atmospheric hotel featuring both outdoor and indoor pools, a children’s area, pool bar, wellness zone, gym, and a restaurant with stunning views. Our apartment with a private pool was the perfect private escape for complete relaxation. The sunsets from the terrace were truly exceptional and romantic, with the opportunity to sunbathe and swim in complete privacy. The apartment was thoughtfully designed, with the sleeping area separated from the living area, which provided great comfort during our stay. The reception staff, kitchen team, bartenders, waiters, housekeeping, and everyone else gave more than 100% to ensure the most luxurious experience possible. The breakfasts were varied and abundant, offering delicious Greek and European specialties, amazing bread, and wonderful cakes and pastries. The entire property and rooms were impeccably clean. The lovely lady who took care of our room even left us towel butterflies, which was such a charming touch. Overall, the service was outstanding. The manager is truly exceptional at her job — professional and genuinely caring about every guest. The reception team was first class: all the ladies were incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. The waiters were attentive and efficient, always keeping things tidy, creating a pleasant atmosphere, and often making us smile. The lady responsible for the food service paid attention to every detail in the kitchen, restaurant, and on the plates — you could immediately feel her passion for food :) This trip was exceptional in every possible way. My partner and I felt truly cared for and looked after throughout our stay. We definitely want to come back — Theo Hotel is truly special!!! Definitely nothing!

Andrzej (8/5): - The breakfast was perfect for this type of hotel. It had everything you could need in the morning. The stuff was very friendly. They kept our room clean every day The hotel doesn’t have its own beach but there are a lot of other beaches nearby. We had a big room with a kitchen on the ground floor, which was very convenient, but the room itself needs renovation.

This was our second year in a row as a family visiting Theo hotel and we have never been back to the same place more than once until now. The staff are excellent and polite always happy to see you and help with anything. The rooms were very clean and tidy with excellent views all round. Location is a big part of why we went back as it’s close enough to the beach and bars and restaurants but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. The food is top notch and a great breakfast everyday full of choice for everyone. The beer and cocktails are tremendous and brought to you by the pool 😃. We hired a car for the week with plenty of space to park right outside the apartment. Definitely booking again for 2026 and we can’t wait! X

L6073RSrenatas (10/5): Unforgettable memories! - Me and two kids spent a 7 nights in the last week of October. What can I say - just absolutely incredible! 4 stars but should be 5. The hotel is in a great area. Only 2 minutes away from the sandy beach and bus stop taking you to Chania and another tourist excursion called The little fun train which I really recommend. Again 2 minutes to get to the main road where there are shops,bars and restaurants. The staff are incredible, especially Elli and Manousos. Both are incredibly kind and welcoming and just stood out. Everyone is happy to see you and has a smile on their face. The food is spectacular ( I was pleasantly surprised by the varied salad options and combinations you'd never think were good but were delicious!) selection may not be huge but it is fantastic , not something you would expect at a hotel buffet but more a high end restaurant . We were at Room 106 which was very spacious , clean and tidy and had everything you need ! ( a fridge, freezer, hob, kettle, coffee machine, cutlery). Swimming pool is a good size , beautiful garden and lovely view around. Honestly I highly recommend! Best wishes from Renata

Which was a full size fridge Breakfast had a nice choice Staff friendlyand efficient Everywhere was kept very clean. The bedroom was basic. Bare walls. Sink in the bedroom and not in the bathroom. Tiny towls. Hardly big enough to go round you. Kettle and coffee machine provided. But no tea or coffee to go with them. Dreadful poolside music.

Az apartmant 5 személyre béreltük, de az ötödik személy egy kényelmetlen kanapén aludt a földszinten - nem külön szobában, szinte az előtérben. Először még ágyneműt sem kapott. Az egész apartman kissé lelakott volt, felújítással nem foglalkoznak. Kiégett villanykörte, elektromos szekrény ajtaja letörve, fürdő renoválása is ajánlott lenne. Medencéhez tartozó törölköző fizetős.
emmacarter971ej (10/5): Superb stay at Theo Hotel - We had an amazing 2 weeks holiday staying at Theo Hotel. We had breakfast included, the choice, quality, quantity and service were superb. We had a Seaview room which was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had the most amazing views. The grounds and gardens were beautiful, pretty palm trees and flowers all well groomed. The pool area was really attractive and the loungers are so comfortable with music playing made it a very relaxing space. The staff work really hard to keep the hotel spotless. It is in he best location for a superb relaxing stress free holiday. It was just a 2 minute walk to the beautiful sandy family friendly beach. The sea is shallow and calm which isgood for children and adults to have fun. There are hundreds of bars and tavernas to choose from along the road to Platanias and the public buses run regularly to Chania (€2 each way) which has a fantastic venetian harbour, shops and restaurants. We would like to say Thank you to all the staff. We will definitely return, superb holiday.

Minutes away from the beach and surrounded by cool little bars and beach side restaurants. The staff were friendly and always happy to help assist you for your daily needs and advise us for day trips. The hotel has a beautiful pool with a great bar and spa etc and the daily breakfast was vast in variety. I will definitely come here again..

A wide variety of hot and cold breakfast foods each day with beautiful views of the sea. A 5 minute walk to the beach and town where again, the locals were friendly and very hospitable. Would 100% recommend a visit here for people of all ages. The only negative i could give is that the hotel is on a steep hill, but they do have a lift to help with that.

69edytab (10/5): Excellent stay – highly recommended - Excellent stay – highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We spent our holidays in Agia Marina, a lovely small tourist town with a beautiful long sandy beach and plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The hotel itself was just perfect for a relaxing stay – clean and well-kept rooms, daily cleaning and fresh towels, and our room even had a small kitchenette. The food was absolutely amazing – breakfast and dinner were served as a buffet with a huge variety of hot and cold dishes, both local and international. Lunch was à la carte, every portion delicious and generous. Even the pickiest eaters will find something they love here. The open bar serves excellent drinks – both classic and original cocktails – all made with real, high-quality spirits and mixers, not cheap substitutes. That’s something you don’t see very often! The beach is only a 5-minute walk away, but there’s also a nice pool area with a children’s pool on-site. The staff were wonderful – always smiling, helpful and friendly, but never intrusive. There’s also a large parking area, which is very convenient. Overall, it’s a great place for a relaxing holiday, also perfect for families with small children. A fantastic base for exploring the surrounding area. Definitely 5 stars from us! 🌞
Kilian (9/5): Sehr schöne Anlage & hervorragendes Frühstück - Wir hatten sehr schöne Zimmer mit Meerblick. Die Auswahl beim Frühstücksbueffet ist überwältigend, es gibt von Rührei Spiegelei, Speck und Würstchen über Brötchen, Wurst Käse und Aufstrich bis hin zu Obst und süßen Teilchen einfach alles. Parkmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend vorhanden. In weniger als 5 Minuten ist man den Hügel zum Meer heruntergelaufen, dort gibt es auch viele Restaurants. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Man muss für viele Kleinigkeiten extra bezahlen, z.B. um den Safe im Zimmer nutzen zu können oder für Handtücher am Pool. Die Zimmer sind meiner Meinung nach etwas unglücklich zugeschnitten, Toilette und Dusche befinden sich in einem abgetrennten Badezimmer, das Waschbecken aber mitten im Schlafzimmer direkt neben dem Bett.
paigemT8160KS (6/5): Slightly disappointing - The big issue we had when we arrived was the lack of signs/instructions to access the hotel. It is set back so you need to walk up a steep hill and then get the lift up. Another hill and then reception. It isn't clear at all and it seems everyone had the same problem. Surprised by the city tax which was €10 per night, as other hotels charge less. The outdoor pool was lovely and we couldn't fault the food. The entire hotel was very clean and the staff were really friendly. We stayed a week and there was entertainment scheduled for Tuesday. Wednesday and Friday nights. Unfortunately the weather was poor so they were cancelled. I would have hoped alternative entertainment or some activity was arranged. The smell of drains in the room was an issue but some days we better than others. The indoor pool was not heated and it was extremely cold and only 2 sunbeds around it. I would probably not stay again

hayleylynne (8/5): Delightful Hotel Theo - Spent a lovely week at the Theo Hotel. Our sea view room and balcony were spacious. Our only complaint is that the shower was open on one side so hard not to flood the bathroom! Pool area is delightful with plenty of comfy sunbeds. Not a fan of loud music when relaxing by the pool but each to their own. Elie is lovely and ensures that guests make the most of their time here and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. We liked the location away from the main road but although there's a lift just be aware there's still a bit of a climb. Away from the hotel make sure you visit Chania by bus or taxi. We love the Venetian harbour, waterside restaurants and little alleys to explore. Crete is a beautiful island!

591paraskeviv (4/5): Not Truly 4-Star – Needs Renovation, But Staff Were Very Kind - We stayed at this hotel at the end of May and were honestly disappointed with the overall quality, especially considering it is advertised as a 4-star property. The bathroom was very outdated, and the shelf meant to hold toiletries like shampoo was broken. Additionally, the mosquito net on the balcony door was torn, which is a serious issue in a place like Crete where mosquitoes are everywhere. To their credit, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was quite satisfying — definitely one of the better parts of our stay. The hotel manager did try to address the broken mosquito net by offering us another room. Unfortunately, the first alternative room was much darker and smelled strongly of mold, which was not acceptable as I’m pregnant and we were traveling with our 4-year-old son. The next day, they offered us a smaller room without an extra bed, which also didn’t work for our family. We were told we could be upgraded only if we paid the difference. Honestly, when a room has such clear maintenance issues, an upgrade should be offered as a courtesy — not as an upsell. In short, while the staff were kind and the breakfast was good, the condition of the facilities and the way the room issues were handled left us disappointed. This hotel has potential but is in serious need of renovation and a better approach to guest service if it wants to live up to its 4-star claim.

Breakfast was excellent While checking in at around 8 p.m , a staff rushed to sell us buffet dinner on on their Cretan night which started at 7:30p.m . She stood outside our room until we decided. We felt very rushed especially the dinner which ended being served at 9 p.m . So we had to eat very quickly as we only had 30 minutes. I regretted buying it. The bathroom was very small ( toilet and bath combo ) . We literally had water in the whole area everytime one had a shower so was hard to use toilet without getting feet wet. There is only one airconditioning unit ( in the bedroom) none in the living room where the twin beds are. Lucky for us it was not hot when we were here but it could be an issue in the summer. Everyone was so helpful and kind and always smiling. We were bed and breakfast and it was very good with enough choices. We had lunch three times too which was lovely. It has a very steep hill to get to the hotel so not great for elderly or people with difficulties walking, but there is a small elevator that takes you to the hotel. It's very close to the lovely beach , shops and tavernas. I would definitely return to this hotel. Room 506 was fabulous.

The hotel is on top of a hill and has fantastic views.When welcomed to the hotel we were offered wine and a massage. We had an all inclusive studio room with a sea view which was always clean and the fridge was filled with drinks daily. The hotel is quiet and perfect for relaxing and once a week there is a fantastic greek night. The food is great but there was so much of it! 😀 As an addition you were offered one free meal at the restaurant Isola which is located on the beach and was a perfect place for a romantic dinner. The best part of the hotel was the staff, they were lovely and it felt like everyone was one big family. We would like to especially thank Natalia who advised us on everything we could do there and went above and beyond for us. valbG5825LA (8/5): Great hotel - Theo is built on a hill so of course brilliant views across the sea. The room was very comfortable - with good ensuite facilities. There was kettle - coffee machine - fridge and air conditioning also a balcony with garden view. Meals were plentiful and varied - plenty seating area inside and out. The music evening with BBQ was fantastic and loved the way the staff joined in and made a fun evening. Plenty of sun beds around the pool - lovely setting - easy access to the beach as well. The bar in evening was quiet but suited us. Can’t praise the staff enough - professional - hospitable and very helpful - big thank you to all the team for making the holiday so good. Elli, Jessica, Sophia and Natalia especially made us so welcome - pointing us in direction of train ride - little fun train to see Crete.

First of all the location, we were instantly a little worried when our transfer dropped us off on a main road and told us to walk up a steep hill to our hotel. But as soon as we arrived in the hotel we were greeted by the friendly reception staff and the lovely Ellie (the guest relations lady) who was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We quickly discovered the hotel “lift” that cut out the steep hill so luckily didn’t have to walk that again for the whole holiday! Next up, the hotel itself. The hotel was very nice and modern. A beautiful pool area with plenty of sun loungers. The bar area was okay… not many people used it so it was a little quiet for my liking. Our room was a good size for the two of us. We had a garden view, but could actually see the sea also from our balcony. We stayed bed and breakfast, and really enjoyed breakfast! A vast variety of options so something for everyone. We did do the hotels Cretian night - it wasn’t really our thing as we prefer to eat out - but the musicians and dancers were very good. I feel like €30 per person to attend this night was a little steep in price. We were advised to try the hotels beach side restaurant Isola… it wasn’t nothing special. But the food was nice - there are much nicer restaurant more inland. Top tips for staying here - we recommend the Little Fun Train day trips.. we did the seven villages, pleasures of Crete and Grand Canyon . All absolutely brilliant. Also, walk 25 minutes down the road towards agia marina and find the restaurant “Cosys”. It’s a hidden gem our most favourite local Restaurant.

Christopher (10/5): Beautiful stay in Crete - We had a nice stay at Theo Hotel. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, which comfortably slept 6 people and had its own pool. Customer service was top notch and the staff was very accommodating and caring. Giannis was really nice to me and my family and made sure we were taken care of at breakfast. The only drawback of the hotel is being situated on top of a hill and there are a lot of stairs. But the views are amazing and there is a convenient elevator to get down to the beach. The hotel was going to charge for towels to use at the pool, but kindly waived the fee. I recommend the hotel simply include the towel fee in the overall price for future guests. Overall a nice stay with very friendly staff.

Also, be careful when make reservation, because when we made reservation the for the hotel the price was 614 eur for 7 nights, and when we payed they took 1044 eur from us. Very disapointed, we made complain to Booking but they wanted a print screen from the 614 euro price (i can go back in time and make a print screen, i never make one when i make reservation)
Tony (10/5): our stay was unforgettable. my wife and I stayed 10 days at Theo. the breakfast at Theo is of exceptional value high qua - the location of the property just a few steps away from the beach situated on a small hill providing excellent view of the sea. AC works well. champagne provided. local amenities and restaurants in walking distance and good bus line to main bus station for chania town. hill climb to the room, breakfast area, pool and main reception area are not mentioned in the description. not suitable for people with mobility issues as it is very steep, tiring for even healthy people. if I knew I wouldn’t have booked Theo hotel. old facilities, basic and dull compared to main reception area. the only nice thing was the view. room itself is not impressive. bathroom light is not bright enough. small TV no coffees or teas not sound proof, can hear neighbours. reception staff initially were not helpful regarding excursions, told us to find out for ourselves elsewhere. but later on our last day a different member of staff was helpful/too late. Showers had cool/cold water no hot water and on our last day was just cold

Nadine (8/5): - Super waren der Ausblick aufs Meer, ruhige Lage, kostenlose Parkplätze, liebes Personal, Zimmerservice, Sauberkeit und der Pool. Die Lobby sieht auch modern und freundlich aus, das Zimmer allerdings könnte eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Alle Möbel sind alt, dunkel, deprimierend. Im Bad eine viel zu kleine nicht passende Toilettenschüssel auf der Toilette, keine Halterung in der Dusche für den Duschkopf, in die Jahre gekommene Ausstattung. Aber es ist alles sauber, nichts wirkt schmuddelig. Das Bett war sehr bequem, ich habe gut geschlafen, es gab extra Kissen. Aircon war so laut wie ne Aircon halt laut ist, daran lässt sich nichts ändern. Ich hatte einen schönen Aufenthalt, mit neuen hellen Möbeln oder mit den alten aber in hell gestrichenen Möbeln würde man zur Zufriedenheit der Gäste sicher beitragen. Das Frühstücksbüffet war allerdings echt übel. Wir haben zwei Tage versucht etwas leckeres zu essen aber es war nichts dabei das ich essen wollte. Eine Riesenauswahl aber viel Quantität statt Qualität. Da aber viele dort gefrühstückt haben gibt es auch genug denen es schmeckt und Geschmäcker sind unterschiedlich. Gewünscht hätte ich mir auch einen echten Cappuccino anstatt Milchpulver mit löslichen Kaffee aus einem Automaten. Alles in allem aber dennoch schön.
