Nidelven hotell frokost er fantastisk Litt middels innsjekk, mann sa ikke noe om streik.og jeg måtte for første gang vise leg.med bilde ved innsjekk,dette føltes litt kontrollerende men er vel nye regler😉

Frokost var passert overalt i et stort rom,vanskelig å finne ting,kunne ha vært mere samlet. Men skjønner at dette kan være en bedre løsning med mye folk,mindre kødannelse

• 396ottaro (4/5): Bad fish soup - First day we had lunch in bar area. The bread was so hard it was not possible to cut it with even a sharp knife. Second day the buffet had a fish soup that tasted funny. Asked a waiter to take it away and told him to check it. He confirmed the soup was bad and they took it off the buffet.

• DJinNashville (10/5): Best breakfast buffet in Norway for over 15 years. - Scandic Nidelven is in a great new development in Trondheim, and it offers stunning views of the city and the river. The guest rooms are modern and well-appointed, even if the bathroom is on the smaller size. The atmosphere throughout the property is a blend of contemporary and warmth, making it an inviting retreat for both business travelers (there were plenty when we were there) and those exploring the historic sights of Trondheim. It’s a place where the service feels personal. The staff fits that description as well: very professional, ready to help, for example calling our aiport transport company on our behalf when we realized we lost our luggage. As great as the hotel and staff are, though, the crown jewel there is undoubtedly the breakfast, which has famously been voted the best in Norway for over 15 years. The spread is nothing short of a culinary event, featuring an incredible array of local specialties and live cooking stations that cater to every possible preference. The staff talk about it with pride, and they should. This might be reason enough to stay there! Don’t miss it!
• Marit (7/5): Veldig bra opphold med forbedringspotensiale - Frokosten, rent og pent, deilig seng, hyggelig personal. Det var veldig lytt utenfor rommet. Hørte alle som gikk utenfor. Hørte tidlig på morgenen når vaskeren vasket rommet ved siden av, og det bråket utrolig mye. Dusjen var også veldig uforutsigbar på varmen som gikk av og på, og strålen var for dårlig dessverre.

• Paolo (7/5): go for the breakfast. - Let's be straight. Breakfast is the reason you should choose this hotel. It's -by far- the best breakfast I had in hotels so far. It's good in every sense, from sweet to salty, from meet to cheese and fruit. The espresso is a real espresso, orange juice is real orange juice. The room is ok, bed is ok, position is good too. They do not clean the room. They say it's for environmental reasons, which would be honorable if not for the fact that the hotel is saving on staff and you do not have a discount in the room price. Clear example of using environment for making more money out of you. I've asked explicitly 3 times to have the room cleaned, the front desk agreed, but the room was never cleaned. This was not nice at all.
• nadiasK9428SI (2/5): Serious Cleaniness Issues - Our stay was unfortunately very embarrassing from start to finish. The first room we were given was clearly not cleaned there were stains, and the toilet had been used and not flushed. We were moved, but the next two rooms also had visible cleanliness issues, including dried coffee spills, dirty surfaces, toothpaste residue, dirty glasses, questionable stains on the bed, and damaged bedding. After asking for the cleaning manager, the room was eventually cleaned properly, which we appreciated. The next morning disappointment continued with no hot water left, only lukewarm, so I couldn’t shower. Breakfast was good, but the final impression was poor. There was vomit outside ON the main entrance that hadn’t been cleaned, and guests were stepping in it when entering and leaving. It obviously been there all morning and no one thought to remove it? Overall, the lack of basic cleanliness throughout the stay was disappointing and honestly quite embarrassing. Your pillow and I have something in common after this stay: we’ve both seen too much.

• JaneC673 (4/5): Don't bother with the family room - The "family room" was a real rip-off here. It's a regular, quite small hotel room in which they have shoehorned two narrow twin beds and a pull out sofa. There isn't room to move around when the sofa is pulled out, and nowhere to sit. They charge a big mark-up for the room, but it's the same as any other room. The room we were given was dated and did not match the pictures on the website. When we arrived, the two beds were pushed together as a double and we moved them apart ourselves. The sofa bed was not made up and we had to request housekeeping do it. They were deeply resentful about it, and made us stand in the hall while they made it up. We asked for extra pillows and towels so everyone could have a pillow and a towel, and you might have thought we'd asked for four-course meal to be brought to the room. They also charge for early check-in, which might be a thing in Norway, but may strike N.Americans as a bit chiseling.

Vi ble derfor meget forundret - og skuffet- da vi oppdaget at vi måtte betale tillegg for å få frokost. - Dette medfører dessverre at Nidelven ikke lenger er høyt oppe på listen over de hoteller vi ønsker å benytte oss av.
