Prima onderkomen, wel bijzonder dat het douche/bad in dezelfde ruimte was als de slaapkamer. De ramen isoleren goed maar moeten des nachts wel dichtblijven ivm verkeersgeluiden. Het ontbijt was uitstekend verzorgd en uitgebreid. Heerlijke koffie, ontelbare soorten beleg. Bij aankomst was er kennelijk weinig tijd om ons wegwijs te maken. Dat ging door omstandigheden wat gehaast. Schoonheidsfoutje.

De badkamer is pover, geen licht boven de lavabo, geen afsluitdop, beetje stoffig. Ook de overbodige tapijtjes in de kamer kwamen groezelig over. Het bed miste goede kussens. Voor 1 nacht is het OK.

• CEMAL (10/5): QUIET AND VERY PLEASANT - Хочу оставить отзыв о моём шестидневном проживании в этом отеле. Больше всего я буду тосковать о замечательных домашних завтраках. Прекрасная хозяйка Линда, которая каждый день тщательно готовила обильный завтрак, навсегда останется в моей памяти. Благодаря этому завтраку можно было не есть большую часть дня. свежевыжатый апельсиновый сок, три разновидности вкуснейшего мяса, сыр и йогурт, отварные яйца, фрукты, варенье. Это было так, как будто вы приехали отдыхать к своим лучшим друзьям. Номер удобный, комфортный. В нем присутствует все, что необходимо для комфортного проживания. Расположение отеля тоже выгодно отличает его от других. Буквально 15 минут пешком, и вы уже в историческом центре. Ночью очень тихо и хорошо. Обязательно вернёмся еще не раз! Хозяйка Линда всегда поможет,подскажет, удовлетворит все пожелания. ничего

• peter (7/5): Goede plaats als je Gent wil verkennen. - De locatie, op een klein halfuurtje wandelen van het centrum. Parking vinden is niet altijd simpel en duur. Je moet redelijk wat trappen doen naar je kamer.

• A (8/5): Lovely apartment, cozy room, friendly host, great breakfast, convenient location. - The apartment was lovely. The room was warm and cozy. Linda was very kind and friendly. Breakfast was perfect: fresh and delicious. The location was good, with a bus stop right in front of the door, and the city center was not too far away. The room could have been a bit cleaner. It’s on the 3rd floor, which was fine for me, but if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, it might not be ideal.

La propietaria y gestora del lugar fue muy disponible sobre nuestras horas de llegada y salida. Super cerca del centro, en un barrio al lado de la universidad. Todo estuvo muy bien

• Robin (10/5): Charming and comfortable B&B at the south centre of Ghent - Sparrow's Nest is located on the south end of Ghent's inner ring road. I was on my bike, so this made it ideal to reach, and then it was 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes cycle to the centre. The room was pleasant, and the host friendly (allowed me to park bike in hall (ok for one or two clean bikes, not for lots). The breakfast was good, with continental breads cheeses and ham, an egg offered, and pastries, jams, etc. available. The room, bed, shower, were clean, comfortable, all very good. The room is quite near a university night spot, which was a bit noisy at 9 or 10pm, but it became quiet soon after this, so not bad at all. I had no problem sleeping.
• Victor (9/5): Good hotel at a great price. - Good location, everything is nearby (transport, old town), within a radius of 1.5-2 km, you can walk. The hotel looks beautiful, in an old house, but everything is beautiful, clean, tasteful. Rooms on three floors with steep stairs, but acceptable for not very old people and without big problems with movement. The hostess is very hospitable and interesting in communication and providing breakfast. Check-in strictly at the specified time. Probably not.

My room was up steep flights of stairs - not a problem for me, but something to consider. There are other rooms available, so worth asking if this is a concern.

Bathroom has a nice bath. The WiFi didn’t work well from my room.
• Paul (8/5): All you need. A quiet and clean room. - A quiet and clean room. A good breakfast. The owner was available to let me in at the agreed time and supplied local information. As a bed and breakfast accommodation reception facilities are only available at certain times. I could not find a place to hang my clothes, except on the back of a chair. There was no separate bathroom. The bath is in the sleeping room. The property is located near the rail station, but a good walk from the town centre.

• Justin (10/5): A home from home! - This was a perfect location for my stay in the lovely city of Ghent! It was a short walk to the historical centre, only a short bus trip from the main train station and it was near a bus stop to go to Wachtebeke for the Strong Viking run! The room was really spacious with a lovely bathtub / shower. Coffee making facilities were in the room and also a fridge so I could keep some supplies on hand. The breakfast was great too. The owner of the B&B was also lovely! Personally - nothing.

We had a family room with three children and she had made up the sofa beds already for sleep when we arrived knowing we would need them. The room had a lovely balcony. The breakfast made by Linda was delicious. The location is about a 30 minute walk to the tourist spots at Gravensteen and St. Michael's Bridge, it is straightforward to navigate. Also close to the train station. Everything went smoothly with check in and check out and we enjoyed stay.

• Phil (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was all that we wanted and served at 08:00. Location is good, just about a 20 minute walk to the city centre. Car parking in Sint-Pietersplein is easy to find and 10 mins walk away. The room was quiet and at a steady temperature despite the warmth outside. I prefer a firmer mattress but I slept fine anyway...

You get what you pay for. We were on the 3rd floor of some very steep stairs. The host can’t do a lot about that as it is just how the property is. You wouldn’t want to have to carry a suitcase up the stairs though.
