Guest Reviews
- Eva (10/5): Exceptionnel !

Nulla
- Marcelo H. (10/5): Staying at Palazzo Torriani is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that combines 500 years of history, noble hospitality, ex - Palazzo Torriani is not just a stay, but a unique historical experience. The architecture is stunning, with period details that reflect the grandeur of its 500-year history. The artwork throughout the palace is exquisite, adding elegance and a true sense of nobility. The gardens and decorated walls create a serene and enchanting atmosphere, and even in the summer, the environment remains cool and welcoming. The palace is located in the historic center of the city, in a beautiful, calm, and very safe area, and offers high-speed Wi-Fi throughout. The views are incredible, overlooking the hills with typical local vegetation, and there is a delightful drinking water fountain right in front of the palace. The hostess, Anna Maria Torriani, is a direct descendant of the nobles who built the palace and is noble not only by blood but also in her hospitality, education, and refinement. The accommodations are impeccable: the room featured air conditioning, the bathroom included both a bathtub and a shower, a hairdryer, and the typical bidet, and every space has heating for the winter. Everything from the bed linens and towels to even the slippers is perfectly maintained. I had the privilege of witnessing her daughter and her grandson, a lively and intelligent little boy, having breakfast, which brought warmth, joy, and a touch of home to the palace. The breakfast is spectacular, a true gastronomic experience: jams made from fruits from the palace gardens, cheeses, cured meats, juices, coffees, cappuccinos—everything of the highest quality and the best that Italian cuisine has to offer. One of the best experiences of my life. I highly recommend it to everyone.
- Jonathan (10/5): Beautiful, unique and characterful B&B with wonderful host and great food - Where to begin with this gem of a B&B. The host, Maria, treated us like family and could not have been more friendly and helpful. From the fairly anonymous exterior it is impossible to tell just how stunning this hotel is, it's like opening up a magic box, with beautiful architecture and an incredibly peaceful courtyard area for breakfast. The apartment we stayed in was spacious and full of characterful charm as well as stunning period furniture. The breakfast was wonderful, with local produce - even made from fruit growing on site - and a lovely setting. The location itself is beautiful, tucked into the Tuscan hills about a 50 minute drive from Mugello. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this quirky but truly special hotel, with its wonderful host.
- Daniel (10/5): A pleasure!! - Excepcional.!! The City location. at the top of the Mountain. The Breakfast is hand made italian style. The building is superb.Parking on site. strong WiFi. But the most important detail...is this fantastic woman and her dauhgter and her nepotino!! wich are the owners of this fantastic place. It was a pleasure to share the building sonríes....
Recomendado!! 10 points!! Not having more time to spend at Palazzo Torriani.!!
- Diane (10/5): My stay at Palazzo Torriani was a truly memorable experience in a magnificent historic home. - I was looking for quiet oasis after a 12 day cycling tour and Palazzo Torriani in the unspoiled town of Marradi proved ideal. I was warmly welcomed and made to feel at home by the owner Anna Maria and her daughter. My suite was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was magnificent but perhaps the high point was dinner in the garden featuring local cuisine. What didn't I like? Nothing, it was wonderful. However, I would have liked to have known before my arrival that requests for dinner need to be made in advance.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - the first look of the place ... amazing and beautiful ... its a family place for years and you feel at home. The breakfast was amazing, the owner is serving you coffee so very personal and family like. The rooms are big and the light from the windows just perfect. I will come back without a doubt
- El (10/5): Best stay ever! (Seriously: EVER) - We left Milan, where we had one of our all time top 5 stays ever, just to have that one topped by Palazzo Torriani. This palazzo is now probably one of our top 2. The location and grounds are magnificent. It is a true palazzo and Ana Maria & Maria Emilia truly treated us like family. They are second to none as is their attention to detail. I am not able to describe our experience justly as I am no poet. The personal tour of the grounds given to us could have spanned hours as there is so much history and items to see and discuss. One of our highlights, which we hold in highest regard, is the night we booked dinner. The ladies cooked a superbly exquisite dinner for just us two by the fireplace... unforgettable! At desert we sat and chatted for a lengthy time which capped a beautiful and romantic evening with a golden bow. Not to down play breakfast which was so fresh and tasty. I can not say enough good things about our stay here. I do not believe this experience can be topped easily. If you are lucky to stay there you should consider yourself blessed. Grazie per averci fatto sentire come in famiglia. <3 Nothing except maybe the 2 year old trying to steal my girl. ;-P
- Carol (10/5): Most fabulous stay anywhere.. ever! - We loved it here. We both agree it has been the highlight of our trip, as well as the most loving place we have ever stayed. We were treated more like family than guests. The palazzo is gorgeous and filled with history. Annamaria and Mariaelena were kind and gracious. The food was home cooked, fresh and delicious. The Chestnut festival was a highlight. We hope to return! We loved everything.
- Victor (10/5): We felt like house guests, but it was totally professional - we’d love to go back! - It is real, a palazzo in a family since the 1600’s, and AnnaMaria Torriani and her daughter (with young family) are wonderful. The breakfast was excellent and regional, fresh and beautifully presented. Linen and towels were fresh and lovely. Nothing
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful room, delicious breakfast and absolutely wonderful hosts. Perfect!! Nothing. We loved everything about it.
- Larry (10/5): Most beautiful hotel in which I’ve stayed in Italy. - Gorgeous palazzo with interesting history. Welcome drink and snack. Very large well-appointed room and bath. Elevator. Delicious breakfast with home made jams. Very cordial family owned. Pleasant little town. Nothing.
- Matthew (8/5): Classic Italian style, updated but not spoiled - A really interesting old building. Tastefully updated but still keeping the classic Italian feel.
Really friendly family and excellent service. Great breakfast
- Peter (10/5): Great. Highly recommended! - Beautiful palazzo with a lot of history. The family Torriani are nice and gentle people who do everything to make your stay a pleasant one. The breakfast was superb with a lot of homemade and regional products. The room was spacious and comfortable. And there was a nice garden. But unforgettable was the guided tour by the family members of the 16th century palazzo!
- Geoffrey (10/5): When in Tuscany visit the Palazzo Torriani - no excuses accepted. - The Palazzo was beautiful, the facilities were just right and all three generations of the Torriani family were unbelievably welcoming. Breakfast was amazing homemade pastries and cakes were just part of a fabulous spread. Nothing
- Jonathan (10/5): Beautiful historical palazzo with welcoming family - If you love staying in places with history, with real people connected to that history, this is a gem. The Palazzo is full of stories - be sure to get the tour! The family are so kind and welcoming. The vibe is an exquisite B&B with loving owners, not an impersonal 4* hotel. My family (wife + 3 teen boys) loved it.
We had both dinner and breakfast and both were outstanding. Our family loves Italian cakes for breakfast, and they had a delicious selection. We had a little trouble finding the parking (immediately to the left of the palazzo when looking at it from the front - where Google maps directs you)
- Jonathan (10/5): Tuscany minus the tourists - Picked this hotel somewhat at random to avoid the crowds in Florence. We arrived easily by train and stayed over Easter without seeing a single other tourist. We were practically the only guests. The town is quiet with a few decent restaurants nearby. The Palazzo is an impressive old family building with great history. The owner, Anna Maria, and her daughter Mariaemila are amazing and literally treated us like family. The previous glowing reviews about the service are spot on. Our room was enormous with nice decor. The homemade breakfast was extensive and delicious. If on offer, make sure to take a tour of the house with the owners. It's well worth it.
For a genuine experience of the real Tuscany, don't look further than this great little hotel. The bathroom was somewhat dated but perfectly functional. Nothing we didn't like about this off-the-beaten-path gem.
- Tomer (10/5): amazing house, facilities and incredible home made jam - OMG!! let me tell you that if you are visiting the area of Marradi and need to spend the night or more, then this place with out a doubt will be worth your while! it is full of history belonging to the family who runs this old palace for more than 500 years,. moreover, Anna-Mary and her doughter Maria-Emily’s were super nice friendly and full of love it was with out a joke sad for us to leave the place because of them… and with all that being said, if Marradi wasn’t on your itinerary than maybe it should be just to stay a night or two in this gem of a place
thank you for your hospitality
- Henry (9/5): Welcoming and charming. - The breakfast was fabulous, delicious bread and home made marmalade, washed down with excellent coffee. Marradi is a lovely place. The Palazzo sits at its heart and very welcoming, charming, attentive and special insight into Italy. Very little. The bed was a tiny bit hard there was a village celebration that kept me awake in the evening.
