- Natallia (8/5): - The hotel itself was good, average room size, big bathroom, very clean. Breakfast was good too. The use of laundry machine was 500 yen, however all the button commands are in Japanese, I had to call for help to start it. Also you enter a 4 digit secret code so only you can retrieve your laundry when finished. Also the area is difficult to navigate because most human traffic is underground, Umeda station is huge, dozens of exits. For 1st time visitor it is confusing.

Great location, right on the entertainment street of Umeda, surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops, karaoke, casinos, you won’t get bored! There’s a 7-11 attached to the hotel as well which is super convenient (no pun intended) for a late night snack or breakfast. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and nice, check in and out was smooth. Rooms were clean and comfy, perfect size for two. Amenities were also great. A few minutes walk to Umeda station so you can get anywhere in the city. Would highly recommend this hotel to visitors of Osaka!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Location is good, others are so-so - The front desk seemed not pleasant while we are checking in and also reacted cold when we reflected the very poor wifi signal in the room (located end of hall way). She changed the room for ua eventually but i had never seen her smile nor apologised for the situation at all. I dunno what was wrong with her and we didn't offended her at all. The hotel's location is good but the first room window view is facing next building 's side wall, literally only 10-20cm distance, no view at all, awkward and barely having sunlight coming in. I know it's common in Japan business hitel somehow but should have mentioned in the description while purchasing and pricing should be lower than the other usual "normal" one.
- Umang (10/5): - The JR Via Inn Umeda boasts an absolutely fantastic location in Osaka. Staying here for three nights, I was thoroughly impressed by the sheer number of shopping and dining options right at the doorstep. The hotel's connectivity is also a major plus, with direct access to both JR Osaka and Umeda stations via an extensive network of underground tunnels. This made traveling to other parts of the city incredibly convenient. However, a significant area for improvement is the hotel's provision of directions for foreign tourists. The underground tunnel network, while a huge advantage, can be incredibly confusing without clear guidance. With luggage, navigating these tunnels is essential, but the lack of detailed directions made it a bit of a challenge. Compared to other Via Inn hotels I've stayed in, this one felt slightly dated. Nevertheless, the rooms were functional, clean, and the service was consistently excellent. The staff were helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. In summary, the JR Via Inn Umeda offers an unbeatable location and great service, but could greatly enhance the experience for international guests by providing clearer, more detailed directions for navigating the underground tunnel network. If you don't mind a slightly older hotel, the location and connectivity make it a strong choice.

For first timer following google map, it will tell u to exit from number 2 of Umeda station. However if u get use to the underground mall, u can walk all the way underground to M9 exit which is directly infornt of hotel. There is a direct access from hotel lobby to 7 eleven.

- Jerrell (10/5): - The hotel was in a really convenient area. I liked that staying here gave us a plethora of food options, and shopping, plus a konbini attached to the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Check in was easy as well as check out. There were also very nice lockers at the front of the hotel for keeping luggage before or after check in. I would def stay here again!

However, I couldn’t recommend the rooms for a longer stay especially if you’ve got multiple suitcases and plan to shop til you drop. It would be too hard to manage on such tight space. - Corey (10/5): - Can’t beat the location. Walk out the front doors to numerous subway entrances. The area is less touristy as other spots in Osaka so got better prices on food and beer in comparison to the overloaded tourist locations. Surrounded by bars and restaurants

- Verified traveler (10/5): 매우 만족한 호텔 - 한큐백화점과 한신백화점 등 백화점가 가깝고, 히가시도오리상점가 안에 있어서 다양한 음식점들도 가까운 매우 입지가 좋은 호텔입니다. 서일본JR 계열이라 나름 신용도 있는데 연말연시에도 크게 비싸지 않아서 여기로 결정했습니다. 방은 여느 일본 비니지스 호텔과 비슷한 크기인데 방이 낡은 느낌이 없고 청결하게 유지되고 있는 것 같아서 좋았습니다. 호텔에서 바로 편의점으로 연결되는 통로가 있는 것도 좋네요. 다만 외부 손님들도 많은 위치라 호텔에서 편한 옷차림으로 가볍게 잠깐 들리기에는 조금 부담스럽긴 하네요 ^^;; 이번에 와이프가 밤중에 열이 너무 나서 걱정했는데 로비에 연락을 하니 친절하게 구급차도 불러주고 해서 너무 좋았습니다. 다만 아쉬웠던 점은 냉장고가 좀 오래된 것인지 냉장기능이 너무 약해서 조금 아쉬웠고, 방 위치에 따라서는 창문을 열어도 맞은편 빌딩 벽이 보이면서 실외기 소리가 너무 시끄러웠던 점이 있네요. 물론 창을 닫으면 조용했습니다.

Pros: Subway connection just right next to the hotel but still need to walk around 5mins to the nearest subway. Loads of restaurants and shops around you. Great smiles and greetings from the staffs Cons: No selection of pillows available…. No water bottle offer for free… No hair brush…. Very noisy when other people talking in the corridor… Traffic noise is loud even I was in the highest floor….
- ROBERTA (4/5): Mah - Pro: posizione, vicinissimo alla stazione di Osaka e a tutti i grandi centri commerciali della zona. Camera spaziosa per gli standard giapponesi. Comodo il minimarket direttamente collegato con l'hotel. Contro: il personale parla pochissimo inglese, una gran fatica per farsi capire e chiedere qualsiasi informazione. Temperatura della stanza altissima, si soffocava dal caldo, e l'unica coperta era un piumone pesantissimo, o quello o niente. Cuscino scomodissimo, anche quello di un solo tipo, quindi o quello o niente. Nemmeno una bottiglietta d'acqua in camera. Non esiste un locale/piano a disposizione degli ospiti per rilassarsi e mangiare, cosa che ho trovato in altri hotel in Giappone. C'è un microonde nella hall all'ingresso ma senza nemmeno un piano di appoggio e senza possibilità di mangiare altrove se non in camera. Colazione misera, con poca scelta e poca varietà. Nemmeno un canale della tv inglese, solo giapponesi. Sinceramente non ci tornerei.
