The atmosphere was beautiful, modern, and welcoming, and everything was kept spotless. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and had all the amenities you could ask for. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. The valet team was quick, professional, and made everything super easy every time we arrived or left. One person in particular, Ty, stood out the most. Ty went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. That level of care doesn’t go unnoticed. Overall, I’d highly recommend Hotel Alida to anyone looking for a top-tier stay. I’ll definitely be coming back!

- 41mikaf (10/5): A Seamless Event at The Alida - Our experience at The Alida for our recent stay and 12-person event was excellent from start to finish. While we explored several options in Savannah, Leslie was the main reason the hotel stood out to us initially. Both she and Brittany were a total joy to work with, consistently proving to be thoughtful and caring partners throughout the planning process. The hospitality extended well beyond the planning phase. Creed was fantastic during our stay, and the kitchen staff were incredibly accommodating to our group’s needs. It is rare to find a team that feels so genuinely invested in their guests' experience. The facilities themselves are beautiful and kept very clean, providing the perfect backdrop for our gathering. We had a great time making use of every area, from the rooftop and restaurant to the pool and bar. The combination of a stunning property and a dedicated staff made for a seamless, enjoyable trip, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Lucas Winters was responsive, professional, courteous, helpful and just all around perfect! I am now planning my second event at the Alida because I know it will be done right with no worries.
- BeantownTraveler15 (2/5): A truly terrible experience - From check in to check out, this is the worst hotel experience we've ever had. We were supposed to have a VIP check in and free bottle of wine. Never got that. We paid for a pool view room, and the person who checked us in said, "you have a pool view room". We were first given a room that was not pool view, across from housekeeping. We asked to be moved, because we didn't want to be awakened by housekeeping. We were moved to another room without a pool view. It was late, so we just stayed in that room. Next day, we asked to be moved to a pool view room, and we were. At 2:30am on day two, a boiler blew. Flooded rooms on four floors. No one notified us of this. We left for dinner at 6:45pm that day, and all on our floor seemed normal. We returned at 9:30pm to find 6 or 7 industrial blowers, and at least twice as many smaller blowers, up and down the hallway outside our room. It sounded like a plane was taking off outside our room. The hotel stall seemed to think we should just deal with it. We asked to be moved. Nope. After many phone calls, someone finally came up and unplugged all of the machines. Next day, we asked what the plan was, and they said the machines would be running 24/7 for several days. We said that was not acceptable, and they would either need to move us to a room away from the machines, or to another hotel. Initially they said they had no such rooms and were not willing to move us to another hotel. We'd prepaid, so we didn't have many alternatives. They finally offered us another room late that evening. It overlooked the stairway to the riverway, and we lay awake listening to people laughing and having fun until after 3am. Also, the air conditioning wasn't working, so we were up until after midnight waiting for that to be addressed. The next day, we again asked to be moved to another room, and we were. First thing in the morning. Wondering why we weren't moved to that room the night before, as it was in a quieter place. If it was available first thing in the morning, it had to have been available the night before. Finally, when we checked out, I asked them to waive the daily resort fee, as this stay was anything but resort like. They agreed. I also asked them to comp the charges for our drinks at the hotel bar the night before. Total charges: $27.90. Oh no, they couldn't do that. The worst hotel stay in recent memory. Almost to a one (with a couple of exceptions) staff were unsympathetic, unhelpful, condescending, and unpleasant. They made us feel like expecting the hall outside our room not to sound like a jetliner was taking off was completely unreasonable. This may have been an extraordinary event, but there were ways to deal with it that would not have expected customers to grin and bear it, all while paying for the privilege. I have no confidence that the staff of this hotel would deal with any issue -- large or small -- in a way that reflects good customer service. Best to avoid it.

- Road810443 (10/5): Excellent Hotel for Group Meetings or Retreats - Our organization held our annual retreat at the Alida and we had a fantastic experience there. Our staff all raved about how nice the hotel was and loved the vibe there. The hotel rooms were lovely - they really have thought of everything! For our group there were several options for meeting room space and the hotel staff was extremely accommodating and flexible in helping us meet all our needs. The location of the hotel is excellent too - within walking distance of many restaurants and sites. I can't recommend this hotel more highly!

The sunset was gorgeous from the venue and we are so happy that we chose the Lost Square to host such a memorable event. The staff was hospitable and accommodating and the food was awesome. They assisted my team and me with check-in and handled the changes to our reservation smoothly and professionally. The food at the restaurant downstairs was excellent. I’ve never been to a restaurant where I didn’t feel the need to add extra condiments to enhance the flavor everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The service was absolutely excellent.
- Happiness802934 (8/5): Can’t beat the location - Nicely located close to the water and restaurants. Valet staff was friendly but a little slow on retrieving the car. Front desk was friendly and efficient. Cleanliness of the rooms and hotel was above average. We found the rooms to be well decorated and spacious and bed was comfortable. the bathroom was a bit cramped and lacked counter space. The sliding mirrored door to the bathroom didn’t close properly. Quite honestly, I don’t know why hotels have adopted the bathroom sliding door, they never close properly are terrible for privacy and more often than not make a ton of noise when someone gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Nice feature is the refreshment station in the hallways with still or sparkling water on tap.
- Dynamitetravel (10/5): Charming Hotel In The Heart Of The Historic District - I had not been to Savannah in over 15 years and my stay at The Alida was a perfect way to get re-introduced to the city. The hotel is in a great location making many points of interest walkable. In some of the rooms from the hotel you have great views of the city (like my river studio suite) and you can easily walk to the river from the hotel. My room was very spacious and well accommodated. Having the record player in the room was a nice touch and made getting ready more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions. The hotel also has a rooftop area where you can see great views of the river and the sunset. The cookies and sparkling wine during happy hour was a nice surprise and the food that I had at Rhett was phenomenal (please try the shrimp and grits). I enjoyed my stay at The Alida and would return here again for my next trip to Savannah.

This hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and the location is perfect. I love that the hotel is pet friendly. We had our two dogs with us and it worked out great. I would highly recommend The Alida to anyone.

We traveled to Savannah with my spouse, our children and my parents. My Mom has MS and mobility is an issue. The staff was so accommodating, providing us the perfectly appointed room that was convenient and accessible. The boys enjoyed the heated pool and we loved the bars, restaurant and complimentary happy hour. You can’t go wrong with the Alida! No notes here, everything was perfect.

Being Titanium with Marriott, I used points for free nights, otherwise, it is too pricey. This is pretty cool and interesting place, enjoyed tasteful decorations and attractive common areas. The service is generally friendly and cheerful, but slightly uneven. Location is quite convenient, riverfront, next to JW Marriott. Quite exciting Rooftop bar with the great views, cozy and positive vibes. Rooms were spacious, with two king beds, and nice bathrooms, minimalistic and spotlessly clean. We didn't like the design, it was sort of silly location for the closet, and it caused inconvenience (there were 3 of us). Breakfast and coffee were vastly overpriced, we had complimentary breakfast for 2 people included, but it was $50 brunch per person otherwise. I opted to skip it, it didn't look like the kind of food I would enjoy anyway. Espresso drinks were not great and very expensive. Still, a quite nice place. Solid 4 stars, but definitely not 5 star experience.

Jessica was excellent to work with and very responsive. On the morning of our dinner, I stopped by unannounced just to get the lay of the land, and Lucas was available to give us a great tour, showing us the best way to access the rooftop venue. During the event, the bartender and the servers all did wonderful jobs. Food on the buffet was constantly refreshed. I received many compliments on the food. I saw someone go back to the buffet for a second (maybe third) plate full of only mash potatoes. My boss and I thought the chicken and steak were especially cooked to perfection. It was especially nice to mingle on the terrace after eating. The overall consensus was we would certainly return. Members of our group (all CEOs and CFOs) stated they would like to return on leisure. Obviously, the location is prime. I like the business casual feel of the staff and the lobby aesthetic. Plus, having a convenience shop in the building was a saving grace for me - since the JW Marriott we stayed at doesn't offer that amenity. I bought their signature scent because I didn't have a travel perfume/cologne. Love it. Thank you Alida staff

Check-in was quick and we enjoyed our upgraded suite. Large room with a cute welcome area/mini bar. The closet is good sized with a steamer in the room. The bathroom was good sized and nice spacious shower. Thank you for having full sized toiletries and they smell great. The bed was very comfortable with large windows in the room. Lots of storage space in the room (though oddly no luggage rack). Plugs on both sides of the bed are convenient. Breakfast (in Rhett) was quite delicious. Great cappuccinos and the menu had many good options. The avocado toast and chicken and waffles were standouts. Service was friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar is so cute. Not sure what it looks like the rest of the year, but for the holidays has a gondola, yurts, and “snow” every six minutes. Fun cocktails and some tasty sounding food. Definitely worth a visit. Hotel is very near the water (and a Christmas market in Dec). Lots of bars and restaurants very close. The hotel has cute bikes that we didn’t use but would with better weather. The only thing that could be improved is the luggage storage. Having the valet do it means there isn’t someone there when they are getting cars. Minor issue though. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff could not have been nicer. The beds were extremely comfortable And everything was pretty top-notch. I did make a request in the breakfast area to turn the music down from blaring to background noise which was much better and they all agreed it was like being at a rock concert lol. I definitely want to return on a nicer weekend for sure, weatherwise!

We want to give a shout out to Anatasha & Jordan from the Front Desk who helped us out throughout our stay. Also, Teddy from valet was very helpful when we needed to store our bags on our last day. we cannot wait to return to Savannah and we do plan to stay at the Alida again.

Spent a weekend here, and while the lobby is lovely and the location excellent, the place is otherwise a dump. The televisions in the rooms don't work, nor do the phones. We had a hotel tech come to the room and promptly damage the TV and the wall behind it in a feeble attempt to fix the issue. Basic services are also incredibly limited here. The cleaning staff apparently leave every day around 4 PM? With no potential to have a room cleaned after that time? No access to clean towels or linens after a certain hour? They also lack a proper bell service, so you're essentially stuck carrying all you own luggage from your vehicle to your room. In a hotel where the rooms are $300+ per night? Get serious. The valet parking is $50 per day - which is ridiculous in-and-of itself. I've paid less in much larger cities. But to add insult to injury, the valet damaged my car, which is six weeks old. I'm currently working with them to have the repairs handled - one of their employees clearly hit something with my car and did not report it. The car has less than 2k miles on it and was perfect when I handed it off. Just shameful. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free.

Also valet is $55 a night and there is no other parking in the area unless you get lucky and find street parking . Coffee pot in the room, but only two pods. They want you to go the restaurant and order a pot of coffee. Free empty water bottle,but you have to fill it in the gym!

From the lukewarm valet and front desk experience to the filthy hall carpet to the tired rooms masquerading as hip, it was not a good value for the money. The hotel is walkable to the riverfront, city market, restaurants, etc., but that doesn’t make up for the dingy decor. We got the double King room and the mattress was very worn on one side, leading to a fitful night’s sleep. The bathroom had peeling caulking and had seen better days. We got in late so went to Rhett’s for dinner. The food was OK, but very overpriced. The host was slow as was the service. On the bright side, my companion said his $38 dollar fried chicken was good. At that price, I certainly hope so. This place is well-rated, but definitely skip it for other options.

Changed rooms twice because loud noise, 1st 2 nights screaming crying kids, 3rd night sreet noise people hollering, boom boxes, cars revving engines etc. 4th night dead tired but finally a quiet room. I put in a wake up call for 4:30 AM to catch my flight back home and in fact called back 2 more times to make sure but, it never happened. When I woke up I had 10 minutes to get to the ground floor and catch my cab. The desk clerk said there was no wake call noted and that someone would call me later regarding the matter and my stay. Day 3 still no call.

What we loved the best was the rooftop bar and the fact that there were 2 King beds in the room, so it was great for a sisters' getaway. But, there were a few things this latest trip that were not great. The bedframes have sharp corners that stick out past the mattress and I banged up my foot pretty badly when we first walked in the room. Obviously others had run ins with these bedframe corners as other nics were visible.We put folded washcloths on the corners to avoid getting hurt again. The TV entertainment was awful. No streaming, except thru your phone, the cc didn't work. and they even tried to charge $24.99 for 10 year old movies, so there were no free movies to watch and only limited live TV with all the ads. Most hotels we've stayed in had HBO or NETFLIX that we could sign into. Also there were no luggage racks, and when we asked for 3, only 1 appeared.

He truly set the tone for our three-day visit with his outstanding service. Dylan is a rock star, a clear reflection of what Marriott stands for, and he went above and beyond in every interaction. He was always pleasant, incredibly accommodating, and even remembered our name throughout the stay, which made the experience feel personal and elevated. The hotel itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. While I am usually loyal to another hotel brand, The Alida has officially won me over for all future Savannah visits. One of my favorite touches was the branded water bottle we received at check-in, which we could refill on every floor at dispensers offering cold, ambient, or sparkling water. The rooms were quaint yet luxurious, and the property offers nearly every amenity you could want—except for a spa. We especially enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. On the first night, the hotel’s house DJ, Miss Paradise, kept the rooftop lively, and it quickly became one of our favorite spots. Each bar offered a different experience: the rooftop bar with its views, the pool bar with fun vibes, and the stylish lobby bar. Brandon at the lobby bar mixed one of the best cocktails we had, the Southeastern, while the lead bartender at the pool bar created several unique drinks that impressed us. The pool itself is shallow at three feet, but perfect for lounging, and cabanas are available to rent for extra comfort. The location on the riverfront is ideal, with easy access to everything Savannah has to offer. The hotel also provides bikes for guests who want to explore the city in style. From start to finish, this was an excellent stay, and I can’t wait to return.

- janet (10/5): - Great place to stay, good location. The accommodations were great more hotels ought to put water stations on each floor like this. They also already had packaged ice ready to go. The place was very quiet and cute. Rooftop bar was great.
- Tara (10/5): - Wonderful hotel! The staff was friendly, and expedient. Really great location, and the hotel is so stylish and cool. Melding new with old in the best of ways. The pool area was extremely well appointed with comfortable furniture. Great dining and bar options within the hotel, and within walking distance of the riverfront, shops, bars and restaurants. We are already planning our return.

- karlos (8/5): Decent. Would stay there again - Stylish, great location Couple issues in the room when we got there. Batteries dead in the remote, toilet wouldn’t flush. Maintenance fixed it within an hour but was still unnecessary

- Mia (10/5): - What a memorable Savannah Luxury Hotel stay at The Alida. The Room was spacious, clean and beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Right in the heart of the Savannah Historic District. Walkable to all the shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!! We will be back!

- Leutert (8/5): - Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral .Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Personal freundlich besonders bei Frühstück. Am zweiten Tag habe ich geburstag gehabt und fand sehr miserabel das man nicht mal karte bekommen mit happy birthday null Aufmerksamkeit also in alle andere hotels bis jetzt ist das anderes gelaufen .
- Adriana (4/5): - Upon check-in other patrons were offered champagne...we were not. Additionally we were given a credit for drinks but were advised for the pool bar. When we went to the pool bar (around 6:09pm) I was advised they had closed. Upon check-out I was advised the credit was for in fact the other bar on the 1st floor. If i would've known i would've used it. The lady who checked us out showed zero interest in helping with the inconvenience.
- Mark (10/5): Great property - Amazing experience. Loved the hotel decor was outstanding staff was great. From check in to check out not one complaint.
- Christine (8/5): Very good - Beautiful decorated lobby. Great with two king beds in the double room. Plus for the reading lights and the window seat. Great location just by the river walk. The complimentary breakfast was incredible too. The bathroom needs a little attention.
