Clyncke (9/5): Overall, we had a really nice time. The facilities on the property are fantastic, there is lots to do in a weekend, a li - Overall, a great place. The food in the restaurants had a lot to be desired. The food in the restaurants, at least the three we visited, was subpar.
Jessica (9/5): Beautiful Rockies vibe, eat elsewhere. - This is just a gorgeous hotel, at least the lobby and entry hall. It's majestic. The rooms are huge too, big bathrooms and king beds, super spacious. The staff is also excellent, helps with everything you might need. There was too much venting on the room, but maintenance came immediately and fixed it. The thing that should be more carefully looked at is the food. It was just not good. The "nachos" at the central bar in the entrance hall were oily flaps of fried four, just about inedible. The Caesar salad at Copper Table was just lettuce drenched in ranch dressing. For the prices, you expect good food.

Check in was a delight with Ivana, and everyone was more than happy to help us at any time. The staffing was wonderful. We especially had a great time with Israel at Music Trivia and Jerzey in Bingo:) nothing!

armyfamily1 (8/5): Great special holiday trip for the family. - Wonderful resort with fun holiday activities for the family. The pool and water park are excellent. 4 stars because the parking situation is a mess. Parking is $33 a night and less hourly otherwise, if coming just for events. You must have your room key to get in and out of self parking and not have to pay additional fee. There is valet which is additional charge of course. Other than the parking situation this is a great resort. You must remember it is a luxury resort with prices and situations like a resorts (think Disney). Food and restaurants are more expensive than outside the resort and it can be crowded. Recommend reservations for dinner at most restaurants. The sports bar has the most extensive menu but they don’t take reservations that we could see. The Copper Table was more fine dining but was delicious and generous portions. If you have mobility issues in your party events in the convention center are a LONG walk (think airport terminal length). Bring your own wheelchair or they have a limited number to lend to guests.

I paid for our family to go through the ICE, and in the email it stated we could take a stroller through the experience. When we got there we were told we had to leave the stroller behind and that the hotel was not responsible if it got stolen. I think they should have send out an email clearly stating the changes.
j0leaw (2/5): Slept on the floor!! - Booked a room for five a couple months ago for a Christmas trip. We were given a room that slept 2! When we asked hotel staff to fix it, they offered us air mattresses for the floor or we could PAY for another room. Excuse me, I already paid for a room to sleep five, why should I pay for another room??? The staff was totally unwilling to help us and even asked me at one point “what do you want me to do about it??” Ummm, you work here, fix it. Then when we ordered room service which is “prepared fresh” (according to their own advertising) they couldn’t modify the food for an allergy. We were told everything is prepackaged and pre prepared and could not be modified. If we needed modifications we would have to go down to the restaurants, which were fully booked and even had signs up that they were full! The “customer service” was appalling. Rude, rude, rude. All I wanted was what I paid for and my kid to not have to sleep on the floor on a deflated air mattress. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, ever. Spend your money elsewhere where they care about customers.

DestinationDocReview (8/5): Christmas in the Rockies 4 of 5 - The Gaylord Rockies is a gorgeous hotel. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was very nice, and the staff treated us fine. The pool area is nice for children. The fitness center is very large and well equipped. You might ask: if all of the above is so good, why only a 4 out of 5? 1. They are obviously understaffed. Wait times for all of the restaurants were long even though there were numerous empty tables. The checkin line was long as well. 2. Marriott Titanium elites get one $10 food credit per stay. No upgrade, no breakfast, no discounts on anything. Overall we were pleased with the stay, but there is room for improvement.

A large convenience store place named Marketplace was a huge plus, you can get coffee and many kinds of food. There are 6 restaurants that ring the central bar, 2 were pretty bad experiences. The organic one gave us our money back on a skirt steak meal, if they knew it was crummy why serve it? A pizza wasn’t bad. Oh, they sent my salmon burger to the wrong table, it took forever and the server never checked on our drinks, needs. Then the Colorado restaurant served me a grilled sandwich that had been grilled in oil that was almost rancid, it was old. Then six of us ate in the 2 story, huge sports bar. The food was good, all 6 options. Not great mac and cheese, but okay chicken on there as an option. Large plates, consider splitting one.

RobertL6544 (4/5): Hotel is great but beware of other guests - The employees were great and the hotel is nice. The reason I am only giving it two stars is because of the other visitors. I’ve been to a lot of different places both nationally and internationally, but have never been somewhere that the guests were so rude, snobby, and uptight. They leave trash everywhere and basically treat the hotel employees like they are slaves that deserve nothing more than to pick up after other grown people. For this reason, I won’t be returning. I’m ashamed to be associated with the other uptight, rude as hell guests who are no better than the garbage and other items they leave everywhere.
Guide581129 (4/5): Disappointed - I’m really disappointed with our experience at the Gaylord Rockies Grinch ICE! exhibit this year. What was supposed to be a fun holiday outing for my toddler turned into a stressful, chaotic mess. We waited in line after line for over an hour, which completely ruined the excitement for my little one before we even got inside. Once we finally entered the exhibit, it was so overcrowded that we could barely move, let alone enjoy the displays. It honestly felt oversold. People were crammed together, and we missed most of the experience because we were constantly pushed along or blocked by the crowd. To make things worse, we were told to leave our stroller behind, even though the website clearly says they are allowed. We followed the rules, planned accordingly, and still ended up carrying everything (and a tired toddler) through the crowd. And just to top it off, parking was $15 with no alternative options. After paying premium ticket prices, being hit with an unavoidable parking fee felt like another unnecessary frustration. For the price and the hype, this event fell far short. I expected a magical experience for my child, but instead it was overwhelming, poorly managed, and disappointing. I hope they take crowd control, accurate information, and guest experience more seriously in the future.

robinjD8429LX (6/5): stuck in the middle of nowhere - There are many nice things about this hotel, but the location is not one of them. You are stuck in the middle of nowhere - there are absolutely zero restaurants, bars, drugstores...anything within easy walking distance. It felt like being trapped on a cruise ship, except you could order Uber Eats from downtown Denver restaurants for like a $10 delivery fee. I stayed at the hotel as part of a professional conference. There are often lots of loud parties and gatherings at such conferences, and because there were no off-site bars for them to happen at, several of them happened, quite loudly, in hotel rooms on my floor. Because food delivery was so expensive, I was stuck eating at the in-house restaurants, whose vegetarian and vegan options were slim and to be frank unimaginative. The staff were across the board lovely, the true highlight of an otherwise annoying stay. I can imagine this might be a nice place for a family vacation, but as a venue for doing business it was lacking.

It was 3500 steps from our room to the convention center and back. And we had to do this three times a day!! Rooms are large and include a safe in the room. I missed having any makeup remover packets and a magnifying glass. We had dinner the first night in one of their restaurants. Food was good but it was very loud and a challenge to converse. It was nice the airport was close (6 miles) so it didn’t cost a fortune to get back and forth.

ColoradoRichard (2/5): No restaurants available - We have stayed at this location for the last 3 years and we are booked for to stay there again in 2 weeks time. On our previous visits we have been told that all of the restaurants are fully booked and we had to go off site (except breakfast). I have just called the hotel and explained that we will be staying there in 2 weeks time and that I want to book a table. I have been told that the Thanksgiving buffet is fully booked and that the other restaurants are first come first serve even for overnight guests!!! Why stay at this hotel if you can’t get a restaurant to eat in if they are catering to all of the day visitors?

Do you want me to do more - The fact that there's not really a choice in prices amongst the restaurants for food or drinks, they are all actually the same, there is no low cost option, is very disheartening if you were to come with a family.how do you expect families with diverse incomes to come to your hotel? I actually came for a conference that was paid for by my company and to be honest, it has me doubting my own company as to why they would go through spending so much money to put us up here when the pool closes at 8:00, the food and drink prices are not comparable they are literally all the same in all eight restaurants, this is not a family-friendly establishment in my opinion. To clarify, there is no way in heck that I could bring my family here, thank God my company brought me here! On a good note, it's beautiful property, stunning, massive, inspiring and unimaginable, but Way Beyond my personal attainment. Again, I say, if it weren't for my company paying for me to be here I could never afford to be here. Oh on a separate note couldn't get the bathtub to work the TV goes off at I don't know what time but you're not allowed to use it before 8:00 a.m., and if you come during the week, the pool amenities of at 10:00 and close at 8:00 p.m.. unfortunately those hours didn't work for us so I didn't get to partake in the amenities.

reviewer2400 (6/5): Nice hotel but they may cancel your restaurant reservation the night before - My hotel room was very nice. The beds were comfortable and I got 2 free bottles of water every day. That is a rarity these days. I walked around the waterpark and it seemed very nice. Someone said they paid $57 for an Uber ride to the airport. I paid a taxi $50 one way so an airport shuttle would be beneficial. My main complaint is our group had a restaurant reservation at Copper Table that we made at least a month in advance. At 11 pm the night before our reservation, they called and said another group had booked out the entire restaurant. They said we can eat at the steak restaurant instead. Entrees at the steak restaurant are about double the cost as Copper Table. I understand the business decision of someone booking an entire restaurant. But they could have offered us a 50% discount at the steak restaurant since we expected our reservation to be honored. Being awoken at 11 pm after a long convention day isn't the best time to think of asking for a discount.

The area I around I thought was pretty nice and had some good food. We would probably come back here at some point it’s definitely a safe option!

jerrdog1 (10/5): Great resort with view of the Rockies! - This is a magnificent resort and and convention center. We were there for a conference, and found the property to be very welcoming. The room was clean and the housekeeping service was spot-on. The restaurants and sports bar were very good, I was able to watch all of the NFL action on a Sunday afternoon on multiple screens in the sports bar. The dinner at the steakhouse was also exceptional (but expensive).
AMY (2/5): - The Restaurant staff were very unprofessional. Refuse to serve us over a political conversation that they over heard at our table. Also got a 100$ fee for a dog noise complaint that issued rectified within 10 minutes. Otherwise the property is worth seeing, very state of art!

msvlbriggs (10/5): CrimeCon Event - I loved this resort! Came for CrimeCon. It’s so beautiful. The staff is amazing! We did the lazy river and hot tub on our arrival day! The fire places were in just the right places! The food was so good! I went to at least 4 restaurants! Our room was comfortable!

ANALILY (8/5): - Very clean. Diversity of things to do. What I did not like is that I booked 2 rooms with a king bed with mountains view , and when I got there they wanted to give different rooms. Plus we had an incident with the valet parking. They hit the side of our pick up.

Taya (6/5): - I really liked the area around the building. There’s lots of beautiful walking spaces. The staff is wonderful, patient, and accommodating. The food was delicious, and having direct access to the convention was a lifesaver. There were a few things I didn’t like; for example, only half of our hotel room was cleaned. There was also staining on the box spring, one of the sinks didn’t drain, and our refrigerator didn’t cool well. Parking is also exceedingly difficult. We ended up buying a valet pass, and the staff were very kind and helpful.

Promised a refund for double charge, it’s been 30 days and still nothing. Talked to multiple managers about getting this refund, promised full refund of our stay due to the terrible experience we had with the hotel and ultimately told no! Don’t go!!! It’s expensive and not that impressive!
Jill (10/5): Great family vacation! Would stay there again! - The staff was incredibly professional, helpful and kind. Very well trained and accommodating! Business conventions/conference employees took up a lot of the pool area and overshadowed the kids playing in the pool.
vpCIC (10/5): What a wonderful experience❤️ - We checked in August 20 and as a Lifetime Titanium Elite member we requested an upgrade and they put us in their Deluxe Suite. It was very nice and the hotel is huge, over 500,000 square ft! What a wonderful time we had. The waiter at the Old Hickory, Brandon and his assistant were exceptional. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary, the food was so good and they even changed some of the items that go with a dish. I had salmon and my husband had the pork chop. They gave us an anniversary dessert of chocolate cake and homemade gelato, yum! We did have a problem with our plane being cancelled and tried to stay one more night, but the hotel was full of delegates to the huge convention. But we’re coming back tomorrow to use the pool & the spa, what a hotel, you will not be disappointed❤️
Inspire746951 (10/5): Great Service, Beautiful Resort - I'm not sure how this resort only has a 3.9 rating. The hotel is beautiful, clean, staff is extremely friendly. Overall this resort deserves 5 stars. I don't take the time to leave reviews often but felt compelled to do so for Gaylord Rockies. I left my phone and didn't realize it until I was already at the airport. Thank goodness I had a back up but the phone I left had photos I would not be able to recover. I called Lost and Found as soon as I realized. Less than 20 minutes later and a couple of text messages, I had the tracking number for my lost phone to be returned to me. Thank you Daniel. Job well done.

I understand that a resort fee is charged for using the pool but we not use it at all and pool access needed wristbands so they know we did not. Hotel doesn't not have an airport shuttle. It came as a surprise since hotel is near the airport. Uber ride was $57 dollars since it was late.
999yvettef (4/5): Not Impressed! - Sadly if you are not there for your kids and the waterpark you don't belong. The food has promise but is inconsistent at best. We had the same meal twice from the same restaurant and it was markedly different (not in a good way). The steak house was a complete bust! The salmon was white inside and so very, very fishy. The bill was over $250 for two cocktails, two wines, one side of mashed potatoes, one side of mushrooms (I'm obsessed with mushrooms in all varieties - they were button and boring), one salmon main and one cauliflower main. The potatoes were the best. A big shout out to the staff who performed like a Michelin-starred restaurant (think Nashville level). The room service (cleaning) was suboptimal. We were there for four days and had only one attempt to clean our room. Sadly it was at 5pm and we had just gotten back and did not want to be displaced. We opted for more coffee and clean glasses instead of a full service. The pool. If you do happen to have some time (we were here for business but wanted to escape when able) and want to enjoy the weather, be prepared to wander around with your towel and nowhere to sit. Now for the unspoken... We went to the pool bar twice. The first day I ordered a Mai Tai, and watched the bartender make it with impressive skill. I even complimented him. Later, I noticed that my Mai Tai did not feel like the strong drink it should be, but just moved on. The next day my husband ordered me a double shot ($20) Bacardi and Diet. When we finally found some upright chairs to sit in, once again I felt it was lacking alcohol. I handed my husband the drink to taste and his assessment was NO alcohol. Not only was the absence of alcohol a problem but the Diet Coke was off. It tasted like seltzer. I know this is a big accusation and I'm not happy making it but two days in a row and the same result leaves me with concern. On the flip side, the main bar served a wicked gin martini (with beautiful big olives) which induced a glorious nap! No question on alcohol content.

L - The pool area was beautiful it was spacious I did not like that you pay so much money to stay there and you have to pay for parking for two nights on a family trip with three cars. It was $500 just in parking absolutely ridiculous.. on top of everything there from a beer to pop at least five to $20 more than you would buy anywhere else and Sam goes for the food plan on a two day trip costing over seven grand with room parking
