- Robert (9/5): Lovely spot - Superb location for nightstop while hiking the Cami de Cavalls. Great apartment with view over the bay. Good supermarket for self-catering across the road from the resort entrance. The lack of a coffee maker for use at breakfast.
- Craig (10/5): Highly recommended for a stay at Arenal d'en Castell - This hotel has a great location, close to the beach, restaurants and with a supermarket right outside. As a solo traveller I was delighted to get a 2-bed apartment with sea and pool view - I certainly wasn't expecting that! Staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities at the hotel are good. There is not much to change - parts of the grounds needed a tidy, but then the wind was very strong, blowing debris around everywhere. I did not book a breakfast so cannot comment on this.

Menos mal que se ponia el sol a las 20:30, porque llegamos justitos a cenar. Son todo familias inglesas y el horario de cena esta pensado para ellos.

Fortunately apart from not being there most of the day and the fact that the bar closed at 6 and the pool opened at 9:00am and closed at 7:00pm it was otherwise very quiet. Well located for local restaurants especially Mirador and Beach Club plus a local shop opposite for daily requisites was a big plus

The boiler is installed in the wardrobe of one the rooms and it's quite noisy when it heats the water, so take earplugs with you ;) Some furniture needs refurbishing or replacement already.

- Peter (8/5): Relaxing stay but not entirely satisfactory. - Apartment was very clean and spacious with decent cooking facilities and fridge/freezer . Apartment was downstairs so quite peaceful.Restaurant staff very helpful and friendly . When I complained that the fried eggs at breakfast were too cold to be edible , I was offered freshly cooked ones by Manolo , which I accepted . We were offered freshly cooked eggs each morning after . Unfortunately the 2nd time they were offered , I accepted , but they were very undercooked . I gave up after that . Sofa in the apartment was quite uncomfortable . Despite somebody coming to fix the tv Ariel we could only get bbc channels some of the time . Food in restaurant was nearly all unacceptably cold. Whilst I very much appreciated that there were some activities , the young woman who supervised the activities was superficially cheerful but was lacking in knowledge about many of the activities and seemed disorganised and in a rush to get them finished . Losing all interest in the guests as soon as her time was up . Not a natural I feel .

- Natasha (4/5): - I've recently returned from a 10night stay with my family. Pools and location to the beach were great. Aside from that, I don't have much good to report. - Accommodation was poor. Basic 2 bed apartment was insanely small. Balcony was too small to be practical. Self catering element was impossibly small. As you get out the shower you're backing into the toilet. Walls are paper thin. Second bedroom more like a cupboard. Beds incredibly uncomfortable. The apartment was extremely dated & really needs work, to the point where it was impractical. Bathroom tap was impossibly stiff. Shower curtain pole fell on my son whilst he was in it. Front door card failed on 3 different occassions & we were left on the doorstep in the burning sun whilst waiting for a handyman. - The buffet was great for breakfast, good variety of hot and continental options. However it was pretty poor at dinner. The meat & fish were fatty, chewy & poor quality. Very limited options for children. One of the biggest issues for me was that there were flies all over the food at all times. And my biggest complaint being that you don't even get a glass of water with your dinner despite paying for half board. Water costs extra which I've never come across in any hotel buffet. Everyone we spoke to quite rightly had issue with this. - Don't expect to get a sunbed or umbrella after 8am - there are simply not enough to go around. - Entertainment is low quality for peak prices. This is a 2-3 star hotel with good pools.

Especially General manager / Director Esperanza & another polite man what check us in. Very helpful & always smiling! Dining experience : Limited menu for dinners. All staff super nice. Especially Manuolo (sorry forgot spelling) Jesus and other staff what don't remember names. Pool bar gentleman sorry forgot name but he was there everyday. Super polite & professional! Kids club: Isabela working very hard. Kids club room needs fresh air as is smelly. It's very hot & small. Paints are not washable!!! Kids clothes ruined. Not suitable for using by little children so management should keep it in mind. Mini disco for children is too early as 7pm and lasts like 15 min. Would be nice if will be longer as children really enjoyed it. Instead of after standing in the long queue for getting a face paint done & then was refused to do it as it was too long. Adults entertainment the singers & Ethiopia 🇪🇹 circus Amazing! There was once a magic show advertised but never happened. Playground area: very dangerous & should not be used by children until floor grounds are fixed. The gaps between tiles make children fall & scratch skin very easily like our child has a fall on the uneven ground . Pool area : nice size of the 2 pools. Beds should be power washed daily or at least every few days. Scum visible above the water. I believe it can be washed as I didn't see much of it in different hotels. Room: rooms spacious, outside chairs & table not very clean. Overall, we had a nice stay. Nothing was a big trouble. Staff is working very hard all day. There's not much to see around. Lovely beach. Few nice restaurants. If you like quiet, not overcrowded place. This is a good choice.

- NURIA (4/5): Mala calidad y servicios - La estancia ha sido regular, pagamos mucho dinero por 6 días en los cuales cogimos media pensión. A pesar de que hemos estado prácticamente todos los días de playas, la habitación estaba regular, nos dieron una en la trastienda del hotel, bajando muchas escaleras, la terraza estaba sucia, el baño, horrible, olía a humedad y nos quejamos de que había resto de basura en la terraza como botellas de agua vacía, y se ha tirado allí toda la semana que estuvimos. Nos ha desaparecido ropa de niño y fuimos a recepción y nos dijeron q no sabían nada... Los camareros del comedor muy simpáticos y amables y, la comida, poca variedad y no había plancha, nada hecho al momento. Animación, nefasto. Las chicas que había, parecía que la habían sacado del público 6 decirle que animarán, no sabían inglés y todo el rato haciendo el ridículo y con el móvil delante de los clientes. Mi valoración es de un 5 bajo... No repetiremos.

- Moataz (9/5): Wonderful stay. For a family the apartment is the way to go with a kitchenette, separate bedrooms and activities includ - Great location. On the underrated north side of Menorca. Pool area with nice views and easy access to the beach and hiking trails. Activities daily for the kids and entertainment at night. Resturants nearby and acces to hiking trails. From check in to every interaction with staff all very good. Small issues that hotel seemed to be a bit dated. But rooms clean with newer furniture. Also if you don’t have a car hotel is far away from other activities on Menorca. Otherwise you have everything close by including a well stocked grocery store

- Paul (8/5): Great location, great staff, need to sort better accessibility around site. - Excellent location. Pool area is great. Close to beaches and restaurants and bars. Stairs everywhere, not easy access for prams at all. Also, children's play area rubber matting needs urgent replacement as numerous trip hazards and material has gone hard and causes injury when young children trip up on lifting tiles. Also, something needs to be done in bar area particularly to sort mosquito problem. Sitting down for a drink and being bitten to death means no-one uses the bar which is a shame.

Very good supermarket near. Hiking route near. Peaceful to sleep. Children & noise in the adult’s pool. Too small terrace. Blankets; not modern. Not coffee maker. Just a little bit old fashion kitchen & equipments.

- Nicholas John (8/5): - The apartment was basic but okay for us. The pools were lovely and it was in a great location with a fairly easy walk to the beach, which was stunning.
