• Nel Finberg (9/5): Immaculate clean and bright hotel near main intersection - The Wisdom residence is sandwiched discreetly behind the buildings that line the main road, and hence not subject to much noise from the highway. The hotel consists of what appears to be three six or so story buildings centered around a characterless courtyard. The room I was assigned was impeccable, with a king-sized bed, wall-mounted T.V., large window facing the open passage on one side and small balcony on the other, small bathroom, writing table with chairs, fridge (almost full sized!), and blond wood cabinets to pack away clothing and belongs. The A.C., hot water, wifi and lighting all worked well. The whitewashed interior was impeccably clean. The hard mattress was equipped with a top, making the bed more tolerable to sleep in. The staff here is also very helpful.

Учитывая, что отключили электричество на несколько часов (с раннего утра, до отъезда так и не включили), с открытыми окнами спать уже не получалось. Стоимость как у стандартного хоп инна, но просят непонятно за что депозит. Ехали по отзывам, в итоге - очень потертый отель без удобств.

The balcony looked out onto the parking lot. There were no chairs for sitting on the balcony. We had to carry our bags up to the second floor, and no one offered to help. The air conditioner didn’t work very well well. The pillows were uncomfortable.

Very nice clean room with all necessary facilities, balcony, good aircon etc. There is a small shop at reception selling drinks, noodles etc, and they will order takeaway food for you and bring it to your room. Will also order tuk tuks for you, as these do not patrol the streets in Bueng Kan. Also helpful in arranging trips to Naga Caves, 3 Whale Rock etc. 2nd time at this hotel, and we will return. Nothing

The staff were very helpful and able to arrange full day trips for us to (1) Naga Caves in National Park, (2) 3 Whale Rocks and Wat Phu Tok. Reception sells beer, soft drinks, chips, instant noodles etc, so no need to go looking for a convenience store. Very good price and comfortable bed. Nothing
• Olga (9/5): A great value for money - First of all, the hotel is a fantastic value for money. The room was equipped with everything one might need: a private bathroom with a shower, an air conditioner, a TV, a balcony, free bottles of water every day, a fridge. The cleaning was regular and efficient. The room was spacious and looked quite fresh. The staff was very helpful, they helped me to arrange a car to visit all local places of interest (which are not that close by): Three Whale Rocks, Wat Phu Tok, the Naka cave, etc. The reception was open till evening and you could buy from them snacks and soda, they also have a kettle to boil some hot water free of charge. As a solo female traveler I always pay extra attention to safety, but both neighbourhood and the hotel itself seemed totally safe and tranquil. As far as I understand, it is a family-run business and they put a lot of effort into being as hospitable as possible. As almost everywhere in Thailand, there were ants in the room. I let the receptionist know about them, and after that they were using some chemicals against them, so they have not shown up ever since. So I reckon this was sorted quick and effectively.

• Luc (8/5): 3 goog days in this hotel - Very warm welcome at the reception, the staff is very helpful. the hotel is well placed 950 m from the Mekong and most of the restaurants. My room was very clean and very well equipped. I am satisfied with this hotel. The bathrooms should be improved, and the water supply to the washbasin should be restored to working order. Then everything worked perfectly.
