Staff very vhelpful Our apartment was advertised in booking.com as having sea views from the terrace. The facilities also said sea view. Apartments did not have a sea view and this description needs to be changed.

Friendly staff. 2 mins walk to the beach and an easy stroll to bars and restaurants. 2-bed apartment had a kitchen dining area with hob, fridge freezer and cupboard/counter top space. Kettle and toaster provided. Air con very welcomed and a lovely verandah to sit on! Our 2nd time staying here and we've booked again for next year already.

• Pia (1/5): Bad - The location is good. Avoid this place at all costs – nothing like the pictures and a truly awful experience This was by far one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The hosts were rude and unwelcoming from the start – but that was honestly the least of our problems. The apartment was filthy. It looked nothing like the photos on Booking.com. The bathroom was a disaster – the shower looked like it had been forced into the space and every time we used it, the entire bathroom flooded due to clogged drains. The toilet was also dirty. In the kitchen, there were just two pots, a dirty stovetop, and dishes that still had food residue on them. There was also not enough cutlery – we were four people and had only three forks and three spoons. When we mentioned this, they reluctantly brought us more, but not without accusing us of stealing the missing pieces – completely unacceptable. Each morning, cleaning staff would bang loudly on the door with some metal object for several minutes to wake us up so they could “clean” – laughing loudly in the process. They also entered the apartment while we were away, without our permission. Nothing appeared stolen, but we absolutely felt our privacy was violated. We even found a fake fingernail (press-on nail) on our clothes that clearly wasn’t ours – meaning someone was going through our things. The pool is not part of the property as advertised. It’s across the street, not included in the price, and you must purchase a drink to even be allowed to stay there. It’s a public pool, always overcrowded with loud kids and strangers – not at all the relaxing experience you’d expect. There is also no private parking, even though that’s what was implied. We were just told to look for a public spot somewhere in the area. Overall, this stay was a complete letdown. The apartment, amenities, and service were far below what was advertised. Photos were clearly misleading, and the experience was frustrating and invasive. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

• Luana (10/5): Exceptional - We met very nice people at the reception. We found a clean and a big room for all of us. The location is very close to the beach, just 1-2 minutes walking. And the pool was perfect for kids and adults the same. Across the street we found very nice people at the bar and the buffet, nice food and drinks.

• John (10/5): Tom and John's - great place and people - The location is brilliant, 1 minute from the beach and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Tom and John 's is a perfect location to explore Tsilivi and has a great pool and bar. I loved everything and will go back (again)

Nice balcony. Air conditioning was superb. Only issue was the shower tray/curtain arrangement - it was too small and the curtain clogged the drain. Sheets/towels should have been changed after 3 days but weren't - a week is too long in the heat.

• Chris (7/5): Brilliant location, lovely views if you get a sea view-facing apartment, pool bar lets it down - The location is undoubtedly the best thing about this property. Just a two minute stroll to the beach in one direction and plentiful bars/restaurants on your doorstep. The only thing we had to walk a long way for was the water park, but that's way out of town with places to stop off en route. Communication prior to our stay was good (via whatsapp - thanks Evangelos!), and check-in was smooth (the 'reception' is in the Tom & John Center shop). We were given a ground floor room on the first night but were then moved upstairs to a spacious room with a fantastic sea view the next morning, as per our request. We appreciated them making this happen as we'd had a bit of a nightmare with our previous booking at another hotel being cancelled. Our room was brilliant and the air con worked throughout our stay. It was a bit noisy at times (daily 6am deliveries to the shop underneath) but that's the price you pay for such a central location and it can't really be helped. Otherwise it was very good. As some TripAdvisor reviewers have already touched on, the pool and bar opposite isn't the most welcoming or efficient place. I understand it's run by different people to those who own the apartments/shop but they clearly have some sort of mutual agreement as the pool bar uses the same name and it's included in all the Booking.com photos and descriptions. As others have mentioned, if you don't spend money in the pool bar you are not welcome, even if you're staying in the apartments. Booking.com really needs to specify this in the description. Thankfully we knew this by reading TripAdvisor beforehand so bought a few drinks while we used the pool (which was fine), but I witnessed the man behind the bar aggressively throwing a group of British kids out before they'd even sat down as they had the cheek to walk in drinking their own water. Fair enough if you don't want people using your pool for free, but a simple, friendly explanation would be fine. Unfortunately this bloke undoes all the good work of his wife who is actually very friendly and welcoming. Despite it being right opposite our apartment we only went twice as we didn't feel particularly comfortable and the overall service was slow despite it being very quiet. Thankfully there are plenty of great beach bars less than a five minute walk away so we spent most of our lunchtimes in them instead! The only other negative was being woken at 9.30am by a cleaner on our final day (not stupidly early, but my wife and 3-year-old were still asleep as they'd had a bad night) to be told we only had one hour to vacate our room, despite everything online saying we had until 12pm to check out. I explained this to the lady but she insisted they needed to clean the room for the next people. Eventually I got her to agree to an 11am checkout which meant we had to rush to pack up all our things, shower and get ready for our final day before our evening flight. Not the nicest way to leave!

First apartment had a large terrasse. The 2nd a little smaller. The owners were rude. One day, when we came home, from being out, a note was on the door. “We mooved your things to another apartment, go to get a new key.” They made a mistake and double booked the room, and just mooved our things (money, passport, jeweley, everything) without consulting us. No compensation, nor did they seem sorry. The internet didnt work, they were very rude when trying to get it fixed. Apartment looked like a bad diy project.

In fact, you are allowed to use the swimming pool only if you are a client of the pool bar..
• Tina (7/5): Fantastic accommodation in a fantastic location at a fantastic price! - Yanis and his lovely wife at the pool bar/restaurant are fantastic. Very welcoming, great drinks and food. Evangelos On Reception/supermarket was friendly and efficient, even remembered Marcus’s birthday and gave him a bottle of wine as a gift. The maids were lovely and hardworking too. One minute walk and you are on the beach! Thank you everyone at Tom & Johns 😊 Hard mattresses, personal preference and others may like this. Need wine glasses in the apartments. Items to expensive in the hotel supermarket eg €19 for suntan lotion €14 for an inflatable.
