• Amy (10/5): Beautiful setting, in a relaxed style - Absolutely beautiful and stunning place, right on the beach front. The little beach snack bar is a lovely location to enjoy breakfast or a light lunch and the restaurant serves delicious food and amazing cocktails all in a colonial style. The employees are very friendly and helpful and a shoutout to the fabulous man who works on reception, who personally takes you to your room, helps carry bags and takes a genuine interest and knowledgeable about the place, beach, area etc. Nothing

There was not a lot of space for clothes, and there was nowhere really to put your toiletries in the bathrooms.

• antony (10/5): - Superbly located apartments on Tolcarne beach. Good beach cafe and restaurant on site. High standard cooking facilities, pans, knives etc. I brought my own and didn't need them. If you have a large/long car don't take it to the bottom of the hill. It's a lot easier going down than coming back up. There is a shuttle service for luggage.

• Stein (8/5): Exceptional staff. Stunning views. Fabulous main bedroom but other two very disappointing - First of all, the staff are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble. They are a credit to this business. Views took my breath away. Beach shallow, spotlessly clean, extensive and on a par with any I have visited abroad. Very safe to swim. Sea was beautiful shades of blue, like shimmering jewels! Upstairs bedroom is huge with stunning views and plenty of storage space. Apartment has contemporary decor and is spotlessly clean. Laminate floors - easy to brush the sand away! Beautiful patio with wicker furniture. Very comfortable beds. Great show heads. Huge bath towels and beach towels provided. Full sized dining tale and 6 chairs, perfect for 6 of us all eating together. Although I could hear music from the beach, it was very subdued, not that thump, thump, thump, but like a babbling brook! We were 30 steps away from a lovely restaurant, which is open early to late. Also, a beach style cafe, which closed around 6-7pm .The approach to the apartments is steep but they provide a shuttle via a jeep type car "on request". My 5 year old grandson thought he was on a crocadile expedition. Finally, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer with pods and softener free for guests. You have no idea how that finished off my stay! Kitchen utensils lacking. Could have done with some kitchen scissors, a small knife for chopping veg and a fish slice., slotted spoons etc. Needed Larger sauce pans and frying pans suitable for a family of 6. Largest pan took 4 corn on the cob halves. For the price paid for the apartment, I expected that bin liners, cooking foil, kitchen roll and cling film would be provided. Ditto toiletries (I had stayed at a MUCH cheaper place beforehand and these had all been freely available) I mentioned earlier that the upstairs bedroom was superb.. The other two bedrooms were the total opposite. Small, cramped, hot, stuffy and dark, with very little storage space. Two single beds, maybe 2 foot apart and a small dressing table and that is all the rooms can take. One lamp in the room, which was on the dressing table at the bottom of one of the beds. These bedrooms were very basic and lacked the space and character compared to the upstairs bedroom.. Did not work for me, at all. I was very, VERY disappointed in them.

• Turner (10/5): A beautiful location, and a very comfortable stay. - The location of the apartments here is stunning. We stayed for 2 nights and had an amazing time, the staff here are so friendly and helped to make our stay very relaxing. We hired surf boards and wet suits from the reception at a very reasonable price for the full day, you can also body board if you prefer and it feels very safe with Lifeguards on the beach. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the master bed room had beautiful views across the beach. We are planning to return to stay for longer next time.

Fortunately, the friendly staff were able to escort us via a buggy to the car park up the hill when needed. We therefore tried to reduce leaving the premises for food shopping purposes. Unfortunately, the restaurant adjoining the apartment was expensive, albeit food was good and staff were friendly.

Great stay if you want a relaxing weekend away at the beach. Would highly recommend. There is alot of walking if you want to visit different beach locations. There are alot of steps to get to and from the beach. The parking isn't great, the road down to the beach is very narrow. The entrance to drive down to the beach car park is not obvious and can be easily missed.

Thank you for helping me with the balones and everything ! ❤️ ( I just want to mention that we love dogs as we had few in the past nothing to to with my rewiw) But I want to write our staying here as we found Dog hair on the stairs, sticky kitchen all surfaces sticky as well ( plates and cutlery sticky ) and very old kitchen, the floor sticky as well not for us! Very odd smell as well ! The bed upstairs was very comfortable and bed sheets clean , pillows can do better, shower very small and I'm very small person for someone with few more stones it will be difficult to shower 🚿! The terrace nice but no privacy as the hotel terrace was just straight in the front of our balcony so we couldn't use it as it was peaple out there with they drinks watching us on the balcony! The road it was extremely narrow very hard if you have a big car !!! So no the money that we paid we could easily have a villa to tenerife with private sweemig pool and privacy as well!

Beautifully located on the beach with great facilities. The apartment was exceptionally clean, very well presented and had everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommend Tolcarne Beach Apartments. The property itself could not be faulted however finding and accessing the property was difficult. The access road looks like a pathway and there is no signage to indicate that the path is a road that leads to the carpark and apartments. Google/Apple Maps do not pick the path up as a road, it took asking locals and then walking to the property to find out how to get in. As a suggestion, detailed access instructions could be sent as part of the checkin confirmation email along with a warning on the narrowness of the road, this would make finding how to get into the property so much easier.

Every single staff member were so kind and really cared about your experience. The people in reception were all brilliant and really helpful with any questions we had. Even the little things like keeping my baby's car seat in there while we went onto the beach so we didn't have to worry about taking it. The apartments we're absolutely spotless and had everything you need, even down to a basket of towels in case you needed them. I cannot fault the property or staff in any way. The road leading down to the car park is extremely tight and as a new driver it was very daunting. But that is to be expected because of the location and obviously something that can't be helped! Just definitely something to keep in mind if you're an anxious driver!

• Christian (5/5): No privacy on the balcony - The apartment was absolutely SPOTLESSLY clean. Upon arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment ( which seemed weird because there was only my partner and myself) and given the keys to the Lamorna apartment. The apartment itself was spotless BUT there was no privacy as when you go out onto the balcony area anyone sat below at the cafe/bar area automatically look up as well as the reception block being slightly to your right as well as the glass windows of the restaurant basically over looking the balcony. This completely spoilt the privacy we were expecting for the cost of the booking and I actually booked this place for the view And being bang next to the restaurant you obviously had the noise when guests were leaving later at night. I am by no means a miserable person but this completely spoilt our stay so much so that we checked out a day early. It was a surprise break for my partners birthday and basically it was spoilt by these issues.

• Helen (10/5): Amazing! - Absolutely stunning location, literally on the beach. The apartment was spotlessly clean & had everything that we needed. Falling asleep to the sound of the sea was amazing. The staff were lovely, welcoming & friendly & one day when we arrived back later than we expected from a day trip, we were 5 minutes after the last orders in the restaurant but they still got us a table. The food in the restaurant was fab but fairly expensive & the service was perfect There's not much to not like. We had an amazing time in a gorgeous apartment. The only thing worth mentioning is the drive down the cliff to get to the accommodation. It's seriously steep, with centimetres on both sides between the cliff wall & the car. My advice would be to park in the car park half way down the hill because it gets even narrower after that. Apart from that & the walk back up to the car ( you'd struggle if you're not very mobile), there's not a bad thing to say

• Michelle (10/5): Another amazing short break at the Tolcarne Apartments - We have stayed at these apartments several times. The location is amazing right on the beach with beautiful sea views. The apartments are tastefully decorated, well equipped and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is a good one. We enjoyed a good breakfast in the restaurant and also a delicious cream tea, the first time we have eaten on site and we will definitely be back for more. Nothing.

• Fiona (10/5): A brilliant location to recharge your batteries. - What a stunning location! We stayed in a two-bed beach apartment which offered amazing views from the lounge and double bedroom. Very clean, plentiful hot water, comfortable beds, lovely bed linen and towels. The kitchen area is part of the living room, with an under counter built in fridge (with nice-making compartment). Two sets of double sliding doors in the lounge allows the outside in, with the balcony providing an ideal place to sit out and watch the waves when the weather allows. Rain or shine the views are amazing and ever-changing. The twin bedroom is at the back of the apartment, so does not have a view, but is a great room for children. Both bathrooms were well-fitted (shower upstairs, bath with shower over downstairs). We were able to use both showers simultaneously without any drop in pressure or water temperature. A drying rack would be helpful for towels and costumes and a doormat by the patio doors to avoid coming in from the balcony with wet feet. Really minor things! The location is everything with this one!

• Jessica (10/5): Wonderfully tranquil little stayed - Beautifully situated stay, we went to bed listening to the waves and woke up listening to the waves so tranquil. My children very much enjoyed watching the body-boarders from the warmth of the apartment as we stayed in January. Very clean and very comfortable bed. We had lovely complementary goodies including cornish tea, coffee, hot chocolate. We enjoyed looking through the guest book which had messages from people who had stayed from all over the world and returned again and again. Nothing everything was lovely
