• STEAMY (8/5): Great place to stay, probably best to book on special otherwise you get can get just as good cheaper - Good breakfast but expensive. I ate out. Once again staff couldn't be faulted. Great location if you can stand the noisy motorbike traffic. The noisy motorbike traffic, Let me know when mufflers are introduced to the Philippines!

Las habitaciones eran espaciosas y las instalaciones del hotel siempre estaban limpias. Sin embargo, lo que más nos impresionó fue la atención de todo el personal, desde los que nos recibían en la puerta hasta el personal de la recepción y, de modo muy especial, el personal del restaurante. Nuestra estancia no podía haber sido más agradable. Nada. Todo fue muy bueno.

• Alzayer (9/5): Overall Good Stay - ° The very active location ° The corner room city view - Drainage smell in the bathroom most of the time, I belive it's coming stronger after taking a shower. I didn't why and I didn't reported it - HK used a personal plastic bag kept next to the wash basin for disposals! Luckily I noticed and requested for a replacement immediately - On the last day, the check-out call was at 11 AM not at least at 11:30 same as the before (before the stay got extended)!!! The receptionist wasn't able to explain why I was called that earlier than usual, she replied "this is a pre-departure call" only which I'm aware of!

I didn't like the juices at breakfast, it was actually lemonade not a juice. There are no options for the cold drinks only that lemonade. . Hope they will do much better next time. However other foods was delicious 😋 and the stuff are so nice, thank you!

Wir hatten 4 Nächte gebucht und mussten wegen Flug Umbuchung aufgrund des Krieges einen Tag früher abreisen. Wir hätten uns gewünscht einen Teil wieder zurückzubekommen, was uns aber verweigert wurde. Dies war zwar rechtmäßig aber nicht kulant.

• Neil (8/5): Despite the location I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great amenities and staff more than made up for any shortcomings. - The staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast selections. The furnishing and amenities were better than anticipated. They payed a lot of attention to the safely and security of guest. It located close to the red light district so sex workers hang around the restaurant in the lobby area trying to pickup clients. Hotel staff tries to control it, but there is only so much they can do.

• Julian (6/5): Uncomfortable, outdating facilities, noisy. - It has elevators and swimming pool Facilities are worn out, noise from the street un the rooms. Room is dark because of lack of lightning. When talking a shower floor in the bathroom would be wet all around, because of short shower glass. I had old refrigerator in my room, and every time when compressor started to work it was making such noise, that I couldn’t sleep. I asked staff to change refrigerator, instead of that they kept the same refrigerator and tried to repair it, so next night again I couldn’t sleep. Finally, I insisted to change the refrigerator, and they brought another one same old and also making noise, but not that loud. At last day they offered to upgrade the room, but I was already checking out next morning, so it was useless and late to do anything, I just unplugged the refrigerator .

• philip (8/5): An enjoyable stay in a decent location, would happily recommend, thank you to the staff. - The gym was good enough and it could do with a few more sun lounging options by the pool as I never got to use it in 5 days. The breakfast was decent, but they could do with topping things up a bit better, as if you go latish, things had run out. I liked the room and had room service which was good and efficient. Cleaners and staff in general were lovely, reception were very helpful, but there were a couple of miserable waiters at breakfast, otherwise the staff were great and a particular mention for the guy who does the omelettes, oh and the restaurant /bar staff were nice and guys who open the doors. Breakfast, not keeping things topped up and the two miserable waiters at breakfast. Also lack of loungers around pool

• K9532CVjohnh (8/5): Great experience. - Golfing trip with friends to Manila and Angeles to celebrate a 'significant' birthday. First stop was the 1898 Hotel where I stayed for 4 days. Fantastic service, excellent food, very good value for money. Room was large and well equipped. The staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast buffet was an experience in itself. Largest selection of food I have seen in years. can highly recommend this hotel if you are travelling out there.

• Peter (7/5): Decent hotel in a great location. - Location is excellent. Room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. Good facilities. Having a restaurant in site was a plus. A bit overpriced for what it delivers. Restaurant and drink prices 20%+ higher for similar food outside. Be aware that it is on a main street with heavy, noisy traffic. You can hear it at 4am from the higher floors.

I paid on booking.com , arriving at the check in they asked me to pay for a night as a deposit, and they would refund me when checking out. I did the check out and they did « the refund » - 20 days later, no sign of the refund on my bank account :)

Pool was a nice area to relax when we had spare time. Staff were all very helpful and professional. Not many elevators for the number of floors so you often have to wait - but wasn't a big deal.

• Nikky (9/5): I had a wonderful stay in a spacious room with a comfortable bed, amazing city views, great breakfast, friendly staff, a - I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I stayed in a room with a queen-size bed and the most amazing city view. The bed was super comfortable, the room spacious, and there was plenty of storage for my belongings. The breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of choices. I also used the gym, which had enough equipment to get a good workout, and the pool area was perfect for relaxing with a drink or a meal. The staff were extremely friendly, and the location of the hotel is ideal. The only downsides were that the shower water became colder after a while, which made it difficult for long showers. Also, there was only one power outlet in the room, so if I wanted to charge more than one device, I had to unplug the lamp.
