• Maéva (7/5): Un logique typique plus que luxueux - Le personnel est très gentil. Ce n’est pas dans le centre ce qui est agréable et reste très proche du centre ville à pied. Il est vrai que c’est un peu ancien, un petit rafraîchissement ne ferait pas de mal mais cela reste tout de même très correct.

• Jonathan (9/5): Great ryokan that is clean and comfortable. - It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The meals in the room were great and staff were very accommodating. The onsens were clean, and they let me use them even though I have tattoos. It was a little far from the station. But there was a shuttle that you could reserve when you were checking out. You could also hear people walking by the room, but it didn’t happen very often so it wasn’t a big deal.

The bathrooms are modern and renovated, providing all the comfort, but with the price the timed surroundings can be a bit off

It was my first time using an onsen, so I read the very easy to read step-by-step instructions carefully before going. However, once there, I was confused about how to wash myself as the soap was in a different area to the shower and there was no shampoo, meaning I had to shower again back at my room. But it was lovely soaking in the hot spring water. They have 2 onsens. I used the open air one, which lovely 8

If you are not familiar with traditional Japanese KAISEKI meals then familiarize yourself before you order. I love fish for breakfast, but not everyone does!

È vero, la camera non era nuova, la definirei "vissuta", in compenso era grande, pulitissima ed in stile ryokan, ovviamente. Il personale è gentilissimo e premuroso, ci hanno tenuto i bagagli fino al pomeriggio del giorno del check out. Indimenticabile la cena servita in camera, così come la colazione. Varia e abbondante. Almeno una ventina di assaggini, tra pesce, verdure e carne. La signorina Bari che ci ha servito, è di una professionalità e di una gentilezza infinita. Grazie di cuore!

Comfortable twin beds. The traditional dinner and breakfast presented in our room was huge with a vast variety to sample. Approx 20 min walk from train station/ bus stop which is end of the shops in town. Hakone is a lovely little town.

The rooms are massive, staff is super kind, they have even led us to our room, explained what is where. Yukatas provided for use in the hotel were cute, there was even tea set for a small room tea ceremony. A public onsen is available. Everything was perfect. Traditional japanese beds were an interesting experience

Excellent location, walking distance to train station. No breakfast option and dinner was sold out. So be mindful that there are not that many options and places around for dinner.

There are 2 onsens in the property (1 outdoor and 1 indoor) although I visited only one of them and enjoyed it. Nous avons pu découvrir l'expérience du onsen après une belle journée. Nous remercions l'hôtel d'avoir pu garder nos valises le lendemain pour que nous puissions profiter de la journée sans etre encombré. Le couchage manquait de confort. 2 ou 3 matelas par personne aurait été appréciable car le lendemain j'avais mal au dos et impression d'avoir dormi à même le sol. La douche était moyen pour un hotel de ce standing. Nous avons plus payé le lieu ( côté thermal) que le prestige. C'est dommage car décevant par rapport aux photos vues sur booking avec notre séjour lors de notre réservation

The room was big and comfortable, and the futon beds were comfortable at night. The private onsen was lovely, and the public onsen was also very atmospheric and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful. They very kindly put together a vegetarian breakfast for us as my mum is veggie. The only thing that could make it better is if they had an option for vegetarian dinner in the ryoken rooms - but we understand that is quite an undertaking! There are some lovely restaurants nearby with good vegetarian options too. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Hakone. Nothing! Really enjoyed our stay.

• Cory (9/5): Awesome place to stay and in an out of the way area in Hakone. - The dinners at Senkei were awesome. There was a mixture of a lot of different types of food available. The staff were friendly and helpful. They offered to setup the shuttle to the station in the moring for us every morning. Breakfast was waiting for us every morning. The private onsen was not hot and we weren't sure how to heat it up. It is an older hotel so the heating units didn't heat the bathroom. Everything was still excellent and would want to stay here again.
