Jardin magnifique, beaucoup d'oiseaux... Rien
- Markus (9/5): - Sehr nettes Besitzerpaar. Unterkunft liegt in einem sehr schön angelegten Garten. Gute Lage auf dem Weg zum Vulkan Poas.
- Maria (10/5): -

Endroit calme, jardin paradisiaque. On s'y sent bien.

- Yannick (10/5): - We staid one night to visit the Poas vulcano and ended up regretting not staying longer. The cozy bungalows are surrounded by a little paradise of a garden, attracting numerous tropical birds. Despite us staying only one night, Nadine put super much effort into making us feel comfortable, from helping us with accessibility issues, to the dinner and breakfast service, or providing us with recommendations for activities. She and her friend were so kind and accommodating and we had a great time!
- Jessica (10/5): Lush, tropical eco-lodge surprisingly close to the city and airport - A lush, lovely tropical setting that felt like a world away from San Jose, even though the airport is only a quick 20-minute drive down the hill. Nadine is a wonderful host, very organized with gate codes, etc, and provides guests with a very thorough guest book with instructions and recommendations of things to do. The bed was very comfortable too.
- Martin (8/5): -
- David (10/5): We had a short stay, but it was great. We would go back again. -
- Maureen (9/5): Lovely stay - but an out of the way location - Comfortable, clean. private casita Amazing garden and lovely terrace
- Elma (10/5): - Just beautiful!
- Avi (8/5): A very good accommodation close to the airport, though access within the property a bit challenging - The owner was super nice, friendly and helpful
Breakfast was excellent, more generous than the average Costa Rican hotel breakfast
The setting of the property is very nice, with lots of greenery. The path from the parking space to the bungalow was pitched sideways and a little slippery, which was somewhat uncomfortable. Also pulling heavy suitcases up the ascent was not a walk in the park - to say the least.
- TheDreamcatchers (10/5): A beautiful experience in an oasis of peace. - This isn't just a place to stay, it's a beautiful and peaceful experience that provides an oasis for your soul. It's close proximity to the airport is very convenient and we used it a launch pad to our adventure. Nadine, the owner, is a beautiful soul that takes excellent care of her guests! I highly recommend getting a massage or facial while there to complete your experience!
- Ashley (10/5): Nice place to stay to relax before a flight after a busy go-go trip through Costa Rica. - We enjoyed watching and hearing the morning birds. The breakfast was simple and filling. We appreciated the fact that Nadine promotes “green” with recycling and refillable soaps. The bath towels could be thicker.
- Adeline (10/5): - Traumhafter Garten, schöner Bungalow, sehr freundlicher Empfang - ein toller Start unserer Reise
- Stefano (10/5): - Grazie Nadine per averci fatto sentire come a casa. È sempre bello tornare da voi.
- Artur (8/5): - Leichtes Check in Spinnen im Zimmer
- Birgit (10/5): -
- Birgit (10/5): Traumhafter Ort - Sehr schöne gepflegte und liebevolle kleine Anlage, schöner Bungalow - es gibt nur 4 - , sehr nette Besitzerin, sehr gutes Frühstück! -
- Birgit (10/5): -
- Götz (10/5): Perfekter Start in den Urlaub - Unser perfekter Start in den Costa Rica-Urlaub. Wundervoller Garten. Nahe am Flughafen. Tolles Frühstück. -
- Eimhear (10/5): Great layover from the airport ! Wonderful introduction to Costa Rica! - Beautiful lodges in the most gorgeous jungle gardens !
Such friendly hosts .
We stayed with our children for 2 nights after a very long flight . We had two lodges , very comfortable beds and spotless !
Lovely hammock to sit out in the garden !
We were picked up from the airport very late at night and still had a lovely meal made for us !
Breakfast the next morning was wonderful! The views and the plants were amazing the best introduction to Costa Rica !
Myriam was super helpful giving recommendations of places to eat and see !
We stayed 2 nights to get over our journey before beginning our Costa Rica road trip and it was the perfect place ! Nothing
- Stefano (10/5): - Posizione centrale. Colazione abbondante e gustosa.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - The gardens are amazing. Like really amazing. Saw a toucan within 10 mins of arriving. Breakfast was lovely. Was tricky getting in and out of the drive but did get used to it.
- Sandra (9/5): Great place to stay and explore the local area. Friendly staff and comfortable accommodation. - Lovely welcome and lovely property. Ticked all the boxes.
- Manu (4/5): Disappointing - Dirty
- Luc (8/5): Very good -
- Davis (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - Nadine is a fantastic host. Great breakfast. Peaceful location. Very comfortable accomodation Nothing
- Tamar (9/5): A real treat! - Gorgeous gardens! So comfortable and relaxing!
Nadine was great- very helpful and accommodating.
We chose this place due to it being close to airport the night before leaving. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer! A bit hard to park but this was not a major problem.
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joy (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great. Staff was wonderful. Lovely grounds with lots of nature: flowers, birds and butterflies. Nadine was able to arrange several day tours for me that were also fantastic. I didn't like that I had to leave! I wish I could have stayed longer!
- Pawel (10/5): Exceptional - We couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Costa Rica than our stay at Nadine’s Paradise! Despite our flight delay, Nadine kindly picked us up at midnight, and we woke up to breathtaking scenery with exotic birds all around. Even the heavy rain couldn’t dampen the beauty of this place. Nadine is a warm and thoughtful host who goes out of her way to make her guests feel welcome. We’re already hoping to book our last night here on our way back to the airport. Such a special place—merci beaucoup, Nadine! 💚 That we had to go!
- Frederic (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly owner, very helpful and accommodating..
The property is a lovely oasis of flowers, birds and trees so close to San Jose.
Super handy for the airport : easy access, no need to go into SJ, and Nadine can arrange car rental from the property.
Food shops an easy taxi ride away for eating in although Nadine also has a set dinner available if needed.
Would return without hesitation
- Agnes (3/5): Poor -
- Agnes (3/5): Poor -
- Pieter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cara (10/5): Favorite place to stay near San José - Very friendly and hospitable host who speaks Spanish, English and French. Lovely breakfast, beautifully themed cottages, surrounded by nature, all the luxury you need yet eco-friendly. Love the hammoc! Close to the airport yet very quiet at night, I only heard nature sounds which was lovely.
- Julian (10/5): Relaxing garden of paradise - What a fantastic place. Unfortunately we only stayed one night on the last day of our trip as it is only 20 mins drive from the airport. However it is such a paradise, in the middle of a fairly developed area, that we wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is wonderful and the gardens exceptional. An obvious work of care and love. All the little extra touches make it really enjoyable. Luckily we did have time on our final day to spend the afternon relaxing in the garden, swinging in the hammock on our balcony and generally chilling to reflect on a great holiday and prepare for the arduous journey home.
Bed was really comfortable. Shower very good and the sink had a plug - the only time in 18 nights (and 5 locations) this was true. Room had fridge and safe plus tea/coffee making. Balcony area was great too with chirs, table, lounger. Perfect for what we wanted on our last day. But if you are looking to explore it's an excellent base for the main attractions of the area such as La Paz and Volca Poas (which we did visit a couple of weeks earlier from a different location).
There was a large shower when we arrived and umbrellas are provided in that instance and there is even an umbrella stand outside the cabin - not much overlloked here.
Only thing I can't comment on is facilities nearby such as shops, restaurants as we ate in with supplies we tok with us from previous location.
The owner is a lovely lady who has a real passion for the place.
Also excellent breakfast provided in lovely conservatory area. Only improvement I can suggest is bigger, firmer pillows
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wiget (10/5): Exceptional -
- Timo (8/5): Nice overnight close to airport - Nice place to overnight. Nice garden with lots of flowers. The room had a nice front porch with a hammock which was nice. Plus its only 15 minutes to the airport.. The parking area is a bit steep and narrow (bit of a challenge with a big rental SUV. There were many bugs, a spider and a lost cockroach in the room. The bathroom window faces the walkingpath and there are no curtains or anything that would ubstruct peoples view of you showering.
- Kerryn (9/5): A wonderful introduction to Costa Rica’s PuraVida. Thank you Nadine! - Pretty, secluded, beautiful gardens, serene Sleep slope to and from the roadside - our fault for bringing too much!
- Ronja (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful garden, nice and clean room and bathroom, Great Place to relax Everything was great
- Jaywalker (9/5): Nice stay. Close to San Jose without being in town. - The well planned property has only 4 or 5 cabins. The cabins are nicely spaced for privacy among the flowers and trees. Quiet and clean with a private deck. Small, nice, healthy breakfast. Friendly atmosphere. Very pleasant ownership. We arrived late in the evening, having traveled all day... The owner made a a very nice dinner for us (for a fee) that was greatly appreciated. Beds rate a 6 or 7 for comfort.
- Algy (9/5): Excellent! - Wake up in paradise! After a long flight this place was the remedy, beautiful gardens, fenced in so the kids can run around and explore. Fantastic breakfast. Close to the airport but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere!
- Laurie (8/5): Very good - The garden and grounds are gorgeous. It is a beautiful oasis. The breakfast was fabulous! There are insects in room. The beds could have been better.
- Larry (3/5): Poor -
- Laurie (8/5): Very good - The view. The grounds The sounds The breakfast The hammock folded up when you say it it
- Carolen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful garden, security, tasty breakfast, location would be great to have breakfast earlier then at 7-30, for example from 6-30.
- Jack (10/5): Perfect for our final two nights at the end of our three-week visit to Costa Rica - Near the airport but far better than the big hotels. The surroundings are densely populated yet inside the grounds we found an oasis. No sidewalks for walking to restaurants though taxis easy to obtain
- Sunsky (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic place and wonderful host Nadine. She goes out of the way to try and help as best as she can! Nothing
- Pierre (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. From the incredibly committed amd passionate host to the amazing room in an amazing garden.
- Wijnand01 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurence (10/5): Exceptional - The whole place is fantastic. Beautiful jungle garden - We had a hummingbird a few feet away from the hammock outside our room. The host Nadine is so helpful & friendly. She really went out of her way to make sure we had a fabulous stay Nothing
- Lilian (10/5): Exceptional!! The facility was out of the beaten path, brought us close to nature. We loved it and - Tranquility, eco friendly
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carrol (10/5): Exceptional - Location. Nadine was a very good host. Nothing
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb - We loved everything about our stay at Tacacori EcoLodge: the small house we stayed in, the breakfast on a small terrace with a beautiful view and breathtaking garden with birds all around. Very helpful owner with a lot of recommendations for the area. That's an oasis which is a great place to relax before or after your flight. Nothing
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful grounds full of lush plants and flowers. Tons of birds and a few harmless spiders too. Hostess Nadine was accommodating and went out her way to make our short stay enjoyable. Breakfast was fruit, eggs and toast plus great coffee and juice. Would definitely recommend to others.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- April (6/5): We liked the garden environment but were not expecting all the bugs indoors. - Beautiful garden environment and good breakfast. A lot of bugs seemed to reside in our bungalow (many kinds), which was disappointing and made us feel uncomfortable to sleep at night.
- Robby (10/5): Will go there again! - Nice breakfast, good location near Alajuela and most of all a beautiful garden with lots of birds ....
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - The grounds are amazing. One of the most beautiful places I have stayed in CR. Utterly quiet and relaxing.
The staff is so kind and helpful.
It is a quick drive to alajuela, but remote enough to be peaceful. I should have done a bit of shopping at a grocery so I could have better prepared and made use of the Casita kitchen. It was supplied with pans and dishes. But some missing items would have made things comfortable. (There was soap but no sponge or dishrag. Coffee but not a way to easily brew it. Etc)
Other than my own prep, there is nothing lacking at this lovely lodge.
- Jasmin (8/5): Beautiful lodges and garden, approx. 30min. ride from the airport San José. - Beautiful garden, own little lodge with kitchen and hammock, possible to order food to the room (from outside or the hotel itself). The owner cooks delicious menus. Location is not near the center or any activities. However, it’s possible to order taxis, shuttles oder uber for the approx. 40 min. ride to the city center of San José.
- Dena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Renata (10/5): A great place to rest and enjoy nature - Wonderful place, peaceful and full of nature. Nadine and her team were kind and helpful.
The room is spacious and equipped with a hammock and a kitchen. The garden is beautiful, the food is also very good.
- Rachel (1/5): Rooms have seen better days, in need of renovation and cleaning. Poor value for money. - Lovely gardens Rooms have seen better days. There was damp and mould in our bedroom and bathroom, it needed a good clean and there were ants running up the wall behind our bed. We had to move the bed away from the wall to prevent them running onto the bed. We mentioned this to the owner in the morning, she said she knew about the ants, but they don’t bite.
- Peck (9/5): Our stay at Tacacori was absolutely beautiful, I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and tropic - The property is beautiful, very lush and full of beautiful flowers and plants. It’s very tranquil. While the cabins are relatively close to each other, they are still very private. The host, Nadine, was very sweet and helped us book and provided transportation to a coffee tour, La Paz waterfall, and Poas volcano. The breakfast provided and the optional dinner available are simple yet delicious, some of the best food we had in Costa Rica. While it is not far from Alajuela, it is high in the hills and not walkable to anything, you either need to drive or take a taxi everywhere. This can make it hard and more expensive to go out to eat.
- Marianne (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (7/5): Beautiful spot, mind the insects - We wanted a place with access to the Poas Volcano. The property is in a suburban area, but once you enter it it feels rural, with the exception of being on the flight path for SJO airport. The garden and grounds were absolutely beautiful, and the cabins with outdoor kitchens were super cute. Our first impression was very positive. Our hostess was very nice and helpful. The only issue, which I generally never bring up in Costa Rican accommodations, was insects. I know they are everywhere in this country having visited three times, and having stayed in over a dozen accommodations. But at night there were just far too many insects in our cabin. We killed two cockroaches and a bunch of large ants and flying ants that were running on our bed. A few insects is normal and to be expected, but maybe not cockroaches on the bed. I am against toxic poisons so not sure what to suggest. Eliminate the roaches and it would have been perfect
- Marianne (9/5): perfect introduction to our stay in Costa Rica - beautiful gardens, sense of tropical luxury: very welcoming and helpful hostess; n/a
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely gardens, great location for the airport. And very helpful staff. Nothing
- Kyra (10/5): It was absolutely brilliant. - Everything! It was very stylish, set in beautiful grounds and Nadine (the owner) went out of her way for us. The breakfast was also exceptional, served beautifully and in a fabulous setting! I wish we could have stayed longer. Nothing
- Stefania (8/5): Very good -
