• Rose (8/5): A helpful hostess - Just off the harbour, the little street was quiet and peaceful. The old house was charming. The host was ever willing to help and aboslutely determined to feed us breakfast. Parking was about 10 mins away (you cant park at the nearest space as thats only for residents. It was not a true two bedroom as there was no door between the living area and the one bedroom and the other beds were in the main living space. It was clearly stated in the description but I just did not register. Old house has its charms but also has flying ants, creaking doors and a small bathroom. All part of the charm.

Our rooms were delightful, the beds very comfortable and the location was superb. We were made to feel very welcome by Thomasia. Her hospitality is exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. • Murray (9/5): Amazing hostess, amazingly positioned accommodation, great stay - The apartment is very well positioned, a 2 minute walk from the old harbor waterfront. The apartment was clean and there was Greek Olive Oil apple cake waiting for us, made personally by Thomias. She is incredible and has been the hostess for 25+ years. She was very friendly and became our kids Greek grandmother during our stay. There is airco which was needed due to the temperature while we were there - a small but functional kitchenette with a small fridge. It was the perfect base for us to spend 3 days in Chania. We should have booked for 5 days as the old city is incredible. The apartment had a balcony as well as a private courtyard. Plenty of outside space for the 4 of us. Wifi was good and the bathroom fine for 4 people sharing. I highly recommend this apartment. My fault for not reading the description properly - booking.com lists the property as a 2 bedroom - but the description states it is not 2 bedrooms but 2 or 3 additional beds in the living area/kitchenette. While it was fine for 3 days, it was a little cramped for 4 of us. However, as mentioned above, it is an amazing apartment, very well positioned and we would definitely return to stay there.

• Shelby (8/5): Adorable rustic apartment in the center of Old Town Chania with lovely hostess! - Adorably rustic apartment in the center of Old Town Chania. Able to accommodate two beds without a problem. Small kitchenette has coffee maker, sink, mini fridge and small stovetop. Hostess Tomáis was incredibly sweet and welcomed us with fresh squeezed orange juice and a homemade apple cake, then made us cheese pies the next day! Parking is NOT close or easy as advertised. You can park for free anywhere along the beach road or two small parking lots there, which were absolutely packed with people Saturday-Monday. We had to drive around 15-20 minutes each time to find a spot, and then it’s a 5-10 minute walk to reach the apartment. It wasn’t awful by any means, just an inconvenience that I did not anticipate due to the description.

• Matthew (10/5): Perfect location, perfect stay for Chania - Perfectly situated at the entrance of Chania Old Town, requiring little walking distance. Charming street and guesthouse, hosted by fantastic landlady Thomais, who keeps rooms clean and takes exceptional care of her guests.

Thomas, the host was lovely and she made the best coffee cake, cookies and breakfasts for us. She was very sweet and helpful with all of our needs. The location was excellent. Very close to the harbor, but just far enough so you didn’t hear all the night life. The property was wonderful. The only drawback is that there was no parking available near by. Had to park and walk a few blocks away. It wasn’t a problem for us, but could be for others.
• January (10/5): The most lovely and walkable option in Chania! Our highest recommendation. - This is a studio apartment situation run by the most lovely woman on the planet. It is efficiency, so you might stay longer, we only had a short time and I wish we had more. She made us cookies, apple olive oil cake, cheese pies for the morning and fresh squeezed orange juice! She was amazingly friendly and available, and set up reservations for restaurants as well. She knows everyone. The property is super cute and is right in the heart of old town Chania, but is super quiet and down the most lovely alley. The walkability is insane! You are right in the middle of it all...fantastic shops, restaurants, two minutes from the port, it is incredible. The only challenge was parking. We had a car and had to park it far away, but honestly just plan for that...she was even willing to go with us to find parking! She is amazing. Such a great experience.

Right in the old town and absolutely stunning. I can’t recommend this highly enough.

Her kindness will not be forgotten, she surpasses all others we have met over many holidays, She and her daughter treated me with great concern when I became immobile with back pain for many of the days. An agonising flight home and still I'm laid up and reflecting on having met such a wonderful sincere family.

• Coca (10/5): Excelent experience in the old venetian town of Chania - Big room in an authentic historic venetian building in the old town of Chania, next to the old port, with a terrace overlooking both the inner courtyard and the cobbled street, it's the perfect place to enjoy the lovely buzz of Chania. Our host, Thomais, was always available, and brought us a nice homemade breakfast with Dakos, Kalitsounia and Greek Yogurt with honey every morning. Most buildings in the old town do not have parking, and the nearby public one gets quite full during August.

Our host was very, very sweet and kind, but she kept going in behind us and turning off our A/C unit. Multiple times throughout the day. The A/C unit itself would take HOURSS to cool down the room. So we were paying a lot of good money for the room, yet we were being restricted on the amenities.

• Göksin (10/5): I can higly recommend Madonna Studios for a wonderful stay in Chania. - It was a wonderful time at Madonna Studios, where we stayed during our vacation in Chania. The location of Madonna Studios is absolutely terrific, which is located on a very beautiful and at the same time on a very calm street of the old town. It‘s just 100 meters away to the Venatian harbour. There was an also lovely Jazz-Bar on the corner of the street. And the beautiful architecture of Madonna Studios gives you a warm feeling of Nostalgia. We stayed on the top floor, which had two huge terraces. Our room was like an apartment, which gave the feeling of home. Very cosy, clean and with all facilities inside: nothing more to expect. What i can say more about the Madonna Studios, that there was a great host, a very warm hearted lady,Thomais, who welcomed us from beginning on with all her hospitality. A fresh baked very delicious apple pie and orange juice was was waiting us upon our arrival. One practical information to add is also the possibility of public car parks, which are located very close to the hotel. I would definitely prefer to stay there again, when i would go to Chania the next time. Nothing bad!

The courtyard where we sat many a day is very peaceful and beautiful Good bed Cute Dog there! The ground floor flat is basic with a small kitchen, a bed that extends almost to the wall opposite, electric meter on the wall etc.

I really loved the balcony and after exhausting myself walking everywhere in the morning, spent many happy hours reading on the gorgeous balcony. The plants in the outside area are beautiful. It's a fantastic spot - although it's in the middle of the old town, it's exceptionally quiet. Thomais and Katerina are so amazingly kind, they really make you feel at home, it's a brilliant place to stay. And Thomas's cooking is fantastic! The studio is very clean too. Nothing, everything was wonderful.

The building itself is an old traditional house built with local rocks, which makes it very cool in the warm summer of Creta. Ms. Thomais, the owner, took great care of us. She would cook for us traditional local treats from Chania region and narrate the story of the city. A wonderful and warm experience.
• Colin (10/5): Central old town charm. - The room was nice but nothing spectacular which is to be expected in the old town. The host Thomais is the most wonderful person. She is welcoming and helpful. From giving recommendations for beaches, attractions and restaurants. Every morning at you time she makes delicious pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. One afternoon she even made us from scratch a traditional ice cream. It feels like you are staying with your grandmother. It was amazing.
• Cristina (9/5): Most wonderful stay! Definitely we'd love to return! - The location is marvelous, in the bosom of the old town yet on a very quiet and tiny street. We loved this Cretan experience, where Thomais (the owner of the property) and her neighbors were sitting sometimes late afternoons chatting together and answering the questions of passing tourists (taking photos). Their calm, relaxed and warm attitude is something you rarely see today. Thomais is such a hardworking and generous lady, cooking apple pie, cheese pie and other cookies for us and inviting us to fresh orange juice all the time. She is very helpful, thoughtful of her clients and at the same time discrete and gentle. Thomais particularly enjoys cleanliness and as a matter of fact she insists on changing all the towels every day. Everything is very clean and tidy. She facilitates a cosy and a personal experience (which is very different from a hotel). We immediately felt part of the family, not strangers. It's something delicate and warm in her that makes you love her. There is nothing we missed during our stay at Madonna. Another thing we appreciated is the long term work relation she has with a taxi driver, who picked up from the airport and back and who is willing to give tourists a lot of information about Chania and its surroundings. Well, we left two personal objects there just to make sure we will return at Madonna Studios. Thank you Thomais for everything! not the case
• Steven (10/5): An exceptionally charming and comfortable experience. - The old town atmosphere everywhere around the apartment was wonderful. The apartment itself was very charming and comfortable. The hostess was exceptionally hospitable - she frequently provided us with fresh orange juice and her homemade snacks, and she offered to help us with other travel needs. There was nothing we disliked about the stay, however on first arrival we did have difficulty finding the apartment inside the old town and finding a place to park the car outside of the town.

Our stay in Chania was enhanced by staying at this property. The location is also excellent. Close to the Old Town but located in a quiet position. We had a restful sleep each night without noise disturbance. We came by bus to Chania, and found it a easy 20 minute walk to this location. Everything was perfect

• Stoycho (10/5): Fantastic house in the heart of the old town and the most amazing welcome :) - The room is more than fantastic, the house is traditional and beautiful in the heart of the old town. The lady welcome us with fresh orange juice and home made apple pie, and she gave us a lot of personal attention and information. This place is even better than expected, we will visit it again! Everything was exceptional

• Cristina (10/5): Wonderful place for a perfect vacation in a beautiful city. - Amazing location on a beautiful and cosy street, very close to everything we needed, great room with one balcony outside and one terrace inside, full of light and with traditional decorations. Full of flowers everywere. Madam Thomais, our host, was very helpful and welcoming, she made us homemade cookies and pie and during our two weeks stay it felt like being with family. We had a wonderful time there!
• Petra (10/5): Exceptional - Such a happy time at Madonna studios. A wonderful authentic base for our first trip to Crete. Although centrally located in the old town it’s tucked away in its own charming alley. We had the top floor apartment that had two balconies one of which was super spacious and private it was like another room. Thomas the owner her lovely dog and family made us feel so welcome. I really feel we will. R back. 10/10
• Bojan (9/5): Great experience, I'll be back. - Loved the location in the old town. Friendly and helpful owner who knows how to spoil her guests. I recommend it to others, I will definitely come back myself. The bed was too hard for me.
