- Amanda (8/5): Comfortable, clean stay at this newly renovated hotel - Beautiful location, and very clean facilities. Staff were great and allowed us to check in after arriving a little early from our drive to the property. In close proximity to Ashizuri cape which I saw them offering buggy rides to. They also have e-scooters and bike to rent. The outdoor onsen was beautiful and relaxing. There is quite a bit of walking and stairs needed in order to make your way to the onsen and breakfast at the restaurant. probably not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Onsen is only open in the morning 0600-0830 and then closed for maintenance, not sure what time it reopens as we only stayed the one night. When we checked in early around 2:30pm, the onsen was also closed.

Nicely renovated and spacious room with view over the sea, great welcome by staff, very good breakfast and the best: outside hot bath with view over the cliffs (and probably the stars, hidden that day by the clouds). It was a last minute decision to go there, decision I do not regret. The restaurant was unfortunately closed on a Wednesday, but there was a nearby place that served excellent homemade food (Café Cape). The hot bath area has a Showa flair - but that may be intended.

- Chris (8/5): Nice onsen, great views, choose dinner carefully. - The outdoor onsen overlooking the ocean was great. Eating breakfast with the sea view was lovely. The chef searing the bonito in front of you in the Japanese dinner was fun. It was really crowded on the weekend. The onsen was so packed it was hard to relax. Also, the employee who greeted us and gave us instructions was so sick that he could barely get out a sentence without coughing. My wife and I were both worried we were gonna get sick (thankfully neither of us did). I don’t blame the employee, I think that he should have been sent home by management, and he certainly shouldn’t have been greeting and checking in guests. Also, I don’t recall choosing Italian dinner, but I was told that I did and the first night it couldn’t be changed. I was very disappointed, I didn’t travel to Japan to eat Italian food. This could have been my mistake, but it was still disappointing.

Bath and futons are still really enjoyable. Lots to do for the kids as well Combing Italian and Japanese food is nice for variety. Breakfast was very tasty. We liked the included drinks jn the bar too. Stargazing experience was something to remember. Staff is very friendly and promptly corrected a billing issue that could have been explained in their or our favor, and for which they decided on our side, which was really grand of them.

Breakfast and dinner were great (breakfast in japanese and western styles to choose). Outdoor public onsen under the star was unforgettable. Free ice-cream/drinks from lobby cafe and easy access to surrounding sightseeing locations made the stay even more exceptional. Nothing.

- Paul (8/5): Beautiful location!! - It is a beautiful location and hotel. There are no major highways on the way to the hotel and these cancellation policy forces you to either go to the hotel, or lose all your money.
- Daren (10/5): Very impressive hotel. We regret not staying another night! - This is a very clean hotel with a nice outdoor onsen that faces the sea. There was even an outdoor tour to stargaze. We were fortunate that the sky was clear for 20 minutes that we can look at the stars. The guide was also very knowledgeable in this subject. The bar at the lobby also has free (unlimited!) drinks that is available anytime in the day. The room was huge by Japanese standards, and the view from the room was amazing, especially in the morning.

This boutique hotel is located at the end of the island and newly renovated. Good gesture of free flow coffee,drinks and ice cream. Include alcohol on house drinks at 7-9pm. The breakfast was wonderful , Italian spread. we stay 2 nights(Tues &Wed) the Italian restaurant was closed for both days. We are disappointed as this hotel has only 2 dinner options and the Japanese dinner is pretty expensive.

Although on the day of arrival it was windy and rainy, but once the sun came up the next day, the view and vibe is world class. The Italian restaurant is also amazing. It would be the location where it is located as it's rather remote and there wasn't much establishments around; however, that's what makes it unique.

Please train some of your new staff so everyone can do thei jobs smoothly. - The staff at check in were really nice and the room was modern and comfortable with a beautiful sea view. Star watching was fun and we enjoyed the food. the hotel had a great onsen leftover I believe from the old hotel that had been modernized. A lot of the staff seemed new and a little untrained. They seemed to get confused easily , freeze or run and ask someone else to help. We speak Japanese so it wasn’t a language issue I think. The onsen and room wear of a faded midsized t shirt with the hotel name on and khaki mid length shorts were not very nice and the Yukawa and overcoat people staying as Japanese guests were given was much nicer. I asked to change this which caused a little confusion. The hotel should stick with the original Yukawa. We were offered more bread on the second morning as one breakfast was delayed by 25 mins as they forgot about one of us, for my partner and it never came. There were many staff for breakfast but all seemed a little stressed. The public toilets need updating there are still some with the old squatting type, this doesn’t match the cost or style of ge hotel.

- Yi Qian (10/5): Amazing place, excellent service and killer views - This hotel was probably one of the best I have stayed in. From arrival at the carpark, there was a male staff (didn't manage to get his name) who waited at the carpark for us to alight and usher us to the lobby to do the check-in. The check-in was done in the lobby with welcome drinks which my family and I throughly enjoyed. The views in the lobby of Cape Ashizuri was also very beautiful. During dinner, every dish was introduced to us. The same male staff also helped to explain it in English when we were struggling with the japanese explanation. Last but not least, the onsen was absolutely one of the best. I loved the outdoor onsen so much that I will definitely come back here next time for the onsen and the excellent service.

- Andreas (10/5): Stunning view and beautiful spa facility - Good price value ratio and the hotel is located in a beautiful spot on a hill overlooking the sea with an outdoor spa pool. The on site restaurant has good Italian cuisine and a terrace with a good view of the cape and sea. The room was large with big beds, table and plenty of room to work and do exercises. If I am in the area again, I will book them again.
