• Sacha (8/5): God bless nature and all its beautiful creatures. We feel relaxed and we enjoyed. - The views and Onsen were lovely. The food and meals were very generous and traditional. It felt very local and Japanese. 🇯🇵 It's needs a good clean and some maintenance, I am sure back in Japan's hay day this was an amazing escape in great condition.

• Gary (9/5): Spectacularly beautiful location - The location right on a secluded cove was amazing. The view to the ocean, with rocky shores, lush forest, sea caves was stunning. Staff was supper helpful in helping us find our bag that was not delivered on time. The outdoor onsen was peaceful with a beautiful view. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Delicious coffee. The hotel needs some updating, paint and carpets but the view and pricing more than made up for that.

• Julia (10/5): Relaxing stay with beautiful views - Beautiful traditional Japanese style rooms with a view overlooking the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had a free shuttle bus service to and from the station which was great. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and filling. The onsen overlooking the bay is wonderful!
• Adam (9/5): Incredible value for money and a breath-taking view from the room. - This hotel was one of the unexpected gems of my 3 weeks in Japan. The view from my room was a million dollar view at an affordable price. The room was spacious, the facilities were good and the hotel staff were friendly. Plenty of free on-site parking available. The hotel's public bath was large, clean and had a nice view into a large fish tank. The hotel was able to provide a vegan breakfast with prior request with was very satisfying and had great variety of fresh and cooked dishes. The private bathroom in my hotel room had a stale smell, but I only used the large public bath so it was okay.
• Adam (10/5): A wonderful seaside resort with outdoor Onsen. - Amazing seaside view from the room. Very nice indoor and outdoor Onsen. Wonderful dinner and breakfast experience. Popular with locals. Only place I was bitten by mosquitoes during three week trip. Just keep the windows closed at night and kill any in the room before going to sleep and you’ll be ok. Three tunnels to walk though if you are walking from the station. Shuttle available at certain hours if you call ahead.

The hotel offers an authentic and traditional ryokan experience that we truly appreciated. We especially enjoyed the delicious traditional breakfast each morning. And we had a stunning view from our balcony—it made our stay even more memorable.

• Hookun (5/5): - 식사는 좋았습니다. 저녁도 아침도 좋았습니다. 그러나 이주 훌륭하다고는 생각하지 않습니다. 온천의 물도 그리 좋은것 같지 않습니다. 이끼가 끼어 탕의 바닥은 미끄러워서 불안했습니다. 또한 온천탕내에 약간의 이물질 같은 것이 있습니다. 또한 모든 수도꼭지가 심하게 흑색으로 변햇습니다. 아마 온천물 속에 있는 황성분으로 인한 것 같습니다. 보기가 그리 좋지 않았습니다. 많은 온천을 다녀 보았지만 여기의 수도꼭지는 이해가 가지 얺습니다.

• Xi (8/5): Nice onsens - The onsens are amazing. Ocean view rooms are amazing. Love having the baths on site. Staffs are friendly The location is a bit remote, so you do need to rely on the hotel shuttle or taxis, which is manageable but worth noting. The only part that felt a little disappointing was the dinner experience. I noticed that Japanese guests seemed to receive a more extensive menu, while foreign guests were offered a simplified version with only 3 choices. It wasn’t a major issue, but it did feel a bit uneven and I wish the dining options were presented more equally.

• Michelle (10/5): Best outdoor on scene lovely place great view wonderful staff - Nothing bad to say about this amazing place if you have a few days to spend in this area after doing the kamano kodo do yourself a favour and check in here for a lovely visit. The outside on sale is truly spectacular. The only thing that you have to bear in mine is a little out of town so don’t forget to organise the shuttle bus that they provide for you to collect you from the bus station and to drop you off. They are truly fantastic. The staff are amazing and the food is phenomenal couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s a little tired, but this is to be expected for the age of the property

Food delicious Loves the outdoors onsen If we hadn’t been lucky with the shuttle we might have had an issue getting back in the evening- I wouldn’t want to walk the route from Katsuura as the road narrows through a tunnel.

• Wolfgang (9/5): Schönes Japanisches Ambiente, fairer Preis, tolles Japanisches Essen - Wenn man Japanisches Essen und Ambiente mag ist das eine wirklich gute Option. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber man kann 2 Onsen genießen, das Essen (besonders das Abendessen) ist wirklich exzellent Japanisch. Großes Zimmer im Japanischen Stil. Leide4 ist das Hotel nur mit einem Shutle erreichbar, zum Ost selbst ist es zu weit und zu kompliziert. Lage am Meet ist schön, aber der Ort Kii Katsuura ist ohne Auto nicht erreichbar.
• Maxime (10/5): The most beautiful gem in town! - The view, the onsen and the staff! They helped me every time I needed help. Lack of a place to do my laundry, and lack of schedule for early breakfast and late dinner. But it wasn't that bad.
• ゆき (8/5): 満足！ - 海をみながらの源泉の温泉、お部屋からの景色、静けさ、隠れ家的なロケーション、とても素晴らしくて予想以上、期待以上でした。今回２泊させていただきましたが、スタッフのみなさまもとても気持ちよくご対応くださいました。建物は多少古さを感じますが、清潔感を感じましたので問題なしです。あとお布団が、とても気持ちよかったです！スタッフのみなさま、お世話になりました。

• Ann (6/5): - The outdoor onsen was lovely. Very nice traditional breakfast. The hotel is a little run down. Also, if you arrive late and haven't booked dinner at the restaurant, you will need to trek back to the station (1.4km) to eat.
• Rosario (10/5): - La ubicación es maravillosa, el servicio de shuttle ha funcionado siempre y muy bien. El desayuno japonés genial. Los onsen maravillosos, cambian cada día los de hombres y mujeres. El hotel vivió obviamente tiempos mejores y está a falta de mantenimiento.
• Mary Anne (7/5): I would come again because of the location, staff and view. - Location. Such an easy walk to town and a beautiful view! Not exactly set up for non-Japanese speaking tourists. Staff was incredibly friendly and tried to be so helpful but there were some communication difficulties ( pre-ordered dinner but no one was aware and didn’t realize time to pre-order breakfast as it isn’t written anywhere).

Das Hotel liegt etwas abgelegen. Wer aber die Ruhe und Erholung sucht, findet sie dort. Das Onsen im Garten liegt idyllisch mit Blick auf das Meer.

• REIKO (7/5): お風呂が最高 - お風呂からも部屋からも海が間近に見えて気持ち良かったし、特にお風呂のお湯が良かったです。夕食はいただいてませんが、朝食は美味しかったです。2泊しましたが、内容もちゃんと変化していました。フロントや食堂のスタッフが非常に感じが良かったです。 全体的に設備が老朽化しています。特に脱衣所はもう少し手を入れた方がいいと思いました。 あと車がないと不便な立地で、お店の多い勝浦港周辺まで徒歩ではいけません。宿で夕食を頼まない場合は移動手段が必要です。
• Roberto (6/5): Hotel con buena cena pero instalaciones antiguas y descuidadas - Las 2 cenas que hicimos en el hotel fueron excelentes. Muy cuidadas y de gran calidad. Los baños otsen eran una agradable experiencia. El personal ha sido servicial y muy amable, aunque ninguno de ellos hablaba inglés, lo que complicaba la comunicación. A nuestra llegada nos mostraron amablemente el letrero que informaba de que el checkin comenzaba a las 3pm, y nos mostraron la zona donde podíamos esperar a esa hora. El hotel estaba vacío: luces apagadas, pasillos oscuros, nadie más a la vista. Parecía que fuéramos los únicos huéspedes. Las habitaciones (tipo Ryokan) están muy viejas, con paredes sucias y manchadas. No están, ni de lejos, a la altura del precio. La llegada a pie desde el pueblo se hace a través de un camino entre árboles y un viejo túnel que termina en el hotel. No es lo que esperas de un hotel de relax.

• Ania Te (9/5): Hidden gem - Oldfasion Japanese hotel, with amazing out-side onsen, spendid views for the bay and so polite and kind staff. It is a hidden gem. Rooms are huge, futons are very comfortable and bedding is like a fluffy cloud. I will definitely come back here someday.

Tranquility, comfort, and relaxation with the beautiful outdoor and indoor Onsen made my stay a great relax time between towns! I love it! Much gratitude! Aloha! Staff was very helpful! Shuttle to koi-Katsura station was a plus! Thank you so much! Need some renovations. Bedroom wall cracked, need fresh paint, leave the window open to refresh air,so the bedroom won’t smell like old closed for long time. Other than that I love the hotel!
• Nuria (9/5): Buenas vistas - Es un gran hotel, algo viejo, que debe de servir para dar alguna celebración, esta todo correcto, pero necesita una mejora de algún mueble como butacas( la tapicería estaba desgastada) y arreglar algunas pequeñas cosas. Tiene dos onsen ( interior y abierto). Desayuno espectacular. Tienen servicio de recogida desde la estación. Tranquilo cuando yo he estado. Buenas vistas.
• Rosélia Dilia (7/5): - Personal sehr engagiert, sehr gute Küche, Zimmer trotz Alters der Ausstattung schön, tolle Aussicht Es wird nur ein Teil des Hotels genutzt. Teile des Hotels sind gesperrt. Das sorgt für eine teilweise eery Atmosphäre. Um zu Fuss zum Hotel zu gelangen, muss man am Ende durch einen unbeleuchteten Tunnel gehen. Das ist nicht ganz ungefährlich.

• Dmitrii (9/5): Странные минусы у отеля, многие было бы легко исправить. - Очень противоречивый отель. Место великолепное, вид на залив с балкона, сидеть на балконе - кайф. Много мест для прогулок в окрестностях. Отличный онсэн, дают юкаты. Есть чайник с водой. Завтрак для нас был несъедобен. Вообще. В комнате комары, первую ночь плохо спали из-за них, потом купили фумигатор в аптеке. Жутко жаркие одеяла, как для ночевки на полюсе, пришлось их убрать, а спать под пододельником было холодно, укрывались чем могли. Душа в номерах нет, и при этом были часы, когда принять душ не было никакой возможности нигде, очень неудобно. Ночью на улице непрерывный гул, прибоя за ним не слышно. Любые кафе и магазины далеко. Персонал на ресепшене не знал точное время трансфера на станцию, в итоге дали неправильную информацию. Просили распечатать одну страницу - отказали. Заказать экскурсию нам не смогли, пришлось идти в информационный центр на станцию. То, что многое в номере было старым, для меня не имело значения. Но перечисленные минусы были существенны.

• Lisa (9/5): Great service. Great location. - The location was beau and so quiet. It was a short walk into town. We ate at the hotel for two of the nights and it was wonderful. We loved the outdoor Onsen. The rooms were clean and very authentic. As other reviewers have said it’s an older property but so comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again.

• Marta (7/5): No tattoos allowed - Even though on the comments it says thay "tattoos may be accepted in the onsen", they are not. They should specify this better for future clients. Futon beds are thin and thus hard on your back, which I personally dislike. Room was great with amazing views and very big, which was nice as we hed quite a lot of luggage. The hotel offers free shuttle bus service at certain times from the hotel to main station and viceversa!
